Club ICON in Wiesbaden

We were on a short trip to Wiesbaden and dined at what was supposedly the best pizzeria in town. We called ahead to see if there was a table outside, which they said was available. When we got there, we were told to sit inside because everything there was air-conditioned. My pork loin steak consisted of two thin, tasteless slabs of meat. Cooked to death and served carelessly. Service seems to only be important to regulars here. When I asked the waiter if everything was OK, I gave my honest opinion, but was completely ignored. My summary of this restaurant: See and be seen, the quality of the food is secondary. The selection of the 5 pizzas on the menu was incomprehensible. Only strange creations. Salami, ham, tonno, onions, etc. None.

Stylishly decorated restaurant with delicious food and perfect service. We'll definitely eat here again when we return to Wiesbaden.

By far the worst Italian restaurant I've ever eaten at. The Parma pizza was truly abysmal, the ham like it came from a discount store. The truffle spaghetti in a nest looked nice, but here too... disastrous. My lasagna with organic beef had no meat, or does it always come with so little? We agreed, it smells and tastes like Miraculli. Twice I told the waiter that it was our mother's or mother-in-law's 60th birthday, no "Happy Seniora" or anything like that. €150 for what we got wasn't worth a cent. I can't recommend this place, I don't know how the reviews come about. The best thing was the water that evening... And please clear away all the cardboard boxes in the hallway leading to the restrooms; that's also a no-go for such an upscale restaurant.

We were at the restaurant on January 11, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The food took a long time to prepare, the quality was appropriate for the price, but the drinks were poor! The staff rarely even thought to take a possible new order.

We were thrilled with the quality of the food. It was truly excellent. The service was attentive. The ambiance was very nice. Unfortunately, there were some very unpleasant people sitting outside the restaurant. They were very loud and ranting and raving, and their disgusting cigars filled the glass annex with smoke. That was a real shame and didn't add to the ambiance.

The staff is extremely courteous and attentive, without being intrusive. You can tell that they value a personal touch here. The service team's recommendations were excellent and further enhanced our dining experience. Ristorante Si is definitely the place to be if you want to spend a special evening. Whether for a romantic dinner or a meeting with friends – you're always in good hands here. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Expensive, tasty, more show than substance

It is always a pleasure for me to be a guest in this house. In addition to the excellent quality, which is without question unparalleled, there is one thing that particularly touches me: the special kind of hospitality. Here everyone is treated with the same respect - regardless of whether they enjoy a crispy pizza with an Aperol Spritz or treat themselves to truffles and champagne. A place where you feel welcome – authentic, stylish and warm.

As always, first class. Only recommended.

Highly recommended! Four of us dined here for a private celebration, and I have to say, it was perfect. The beautifully arranged bouquet of flowers in the entrée was a sure sign! The food was served promptly and efficiently and was outstanding in both taste and appearance! The staff is elegant and professional. Any special requests ("can the main course, truffle linguine, also be had as an appetizer?", etc.) were fulfilled without hesitation. So, if you value attentive staff and a top-notch ambiance in addition to first-class food, this is the place for you. I wish the entire Sí team (shoutout to the kitchen, please!) continued success and ask that they never let up in providing such service and quality! Update March 2025: We've eaten here several more times since then - truly top-notch! The professional welcome, the excellent service, the outstanding quality of the food, and the ambiance are all impressive. Thank you!!!

Nice food, service could be better

Good food and good drinks, the service is friendly. A quiet place to meet, whether for private or business purposes. Only the parking spaces there are very poor! My friends liked it.

Good food, good service. The problem, however, is that you have to put up with the disgusting smoke from the smokers if you want to sit outside and have a nice evening. The food gets spoiled, it stinks, and you're busy dodging the disgusting smoke from the equally smokers. This is outrageous, considering the prices and the fact that we no longer live in the era of 80s pub culture. It's insane that you have to surrender to the addiction of a few clowns and clown women and then pay for it. My last visit in many years. Not recommended anymore if you're forced to expose yourself to secondhand smoke.

The food was delicious; the beef medallions with truffle pasta were a dream! We had the starter, main course, and dessert, and everything was perfect. The service was also very courteous and attentive. We'll definitely be back!

The Si on Sonnenbergerstrasse opened on September 5, 2020. Three of us were there. The rooms are beautifully designed. The restrooms weren't quite finished yet. The cash register wasn't working either, so we had to write the bill by hand. According to Mr. Arena, the prices on the wine list were also incorrect. They could all have been cheaper. The food also took a very long time. The monkfish was a bit rubbery. I think some people were overwhelmed. But we'll give it a second chance. Otherwise, we'd rather go to Perannis on Platterstrasse, where Mr. Arena previously worked. We had accepted an invitation on October 16, 2020. Now we wanted to give it a second try. Four people were satisfied with their food. The appetizer plate could have been improved. I had a somewhat strange tartare. It looked like a startled meatball. In my opinion, it was burnt. According to the owner, the tartare would turn out like this if you drizzled it with lemon!!!!! It was also slightly thawed. My dessert, a cheese plate, consisted of 3-4 hard pieces of Parmesan cheese and 3 pieces of Roquefort cheese, along with some decorative figs, etc. A bit more variety would have been appreciated. The space and the friendly staff make up for this. What bothers us immensely is that the mask requirement isn't being observed. I'm expecting heavy fines for the owner and the guests in this regard. July 30, 2021, third attempt. The tables outside were far too close together. Too many people during the coronavirus pandemic. This made the staff hectic. On top of that, a man at the table far too close to me sat so that he was almost sitting on my lap and was also smoking a few smelly cigarillos. The restrooms are still under construction. The food wasn't great either. So, for now, I don't see any reason to go there. There's a new version; we went there for lunch in October 2024. A small starter and main course for €19.90. Highly recommended. January 20, 2025: For dinner, I had the best wild-caught prawns and the best garlic/chilli spaghetti I've ever eaten. My only criticism is something hardly any of the restaurants I've reviewed have managed to achieve. No one can make a delicious salad dressing.

We ate at Si for the first time today. We drove all the way from Aschaffenburg just to try it out, and we were absolutely thrilled. The food was absolutely delicious and, even though the restaurant was completely full, was served within 15 minutes. The service was very attentive and friendly. We'd be happy to come back.

Unfriendly and disrespectful service. According to the statement, the kitchen is very good. Service was a disaster. Therefore 0 stars!!!!

An Italian restaurant as it should be: very good Mediterranean cuisine, sparkling wines and service that is second to none (fast, attentive, competent). The hotel is centrally located on Sonnenberger Straße within sight of the Kurpark and Kurhaus.

We believe that you can only have new experiences if you are willing to try new things. So many positive reviews persuaded us to visit this restaurant for lunch on Sunday. Our expectations were correspondingly high. But as soon as we entered the restaurant we were disappointed: we were not greeted warmly and were only shown the reserved table. As soon as we were seated, the waiter came and asked without any politeness: “What do you want to drink?” We ordered a bottle of water, whereupon he immediately asked for the wine, even before we could properly look at the menu. The menu itself was disappointing: a loveless, shrink-wrapped DIN A3 page, with the food on the front and the drinks on the back. The open wines offered were listed without specifying the winery or vintage. I explained to the waiter that we wanted to choose the food before ordering the wine. The order was then taken. The food came quickly, but was put on the table without a word. My wife had a fish soup which was good. I, on the other hand, had fried calamari and sardines, unfortunately without any dip. My main course, pasta with truffles, was not a special experience - the truffle could hardly be tasted. However, the peak of disappointment came when we called the waiter to order a second wine. He came to our table chewing with his mouth full - behavior that is completely unacceptable in a restaurant of this price range. With a bill of €120 for three starters, a main course, two wines and espresso, I expect appropriate service. These prices definitely do not belong in the “schnitzel kitchen” category. In the future we will go back to our regular Italian restaurant, which is only 500 meters away. We know that the service there is always excellent. How this restaurant got so many good reviews remains a mystery to us.

One of our favorite Italian restaurants here in Wiesbaden. We’ve been numerous times and it is always my recommendation to friends and colleagues. The dishes are always delicious, and the staff are always warm and inviting.

Finally went there for the first time yesterday. There were four of us. Had starters, pasta truffles, fish, steak, desserts... I'll write on behalf of all of us: 10/10! In terms of taste, the quality of the food, the service, I didn't even know there was something like this in Wiesbaden. We're regular guests from now on, so you really don't have to go to Frankfurt. The ambience was very good, but the food was poor, we had pizza that was baked too hard, no knives that cut properly, it was almost impossible to enjoy the pizza. It's a shame for the high price, it wasn't worth it.

We really enjoy coming here to eat. The ambience of the restaurant is very tastefully decorated and the food is a must try. We love the wine selection and the excellent taste of the food. Very well seasoned, seasoning is unnecessary. It quickly becomes clear that people love food and good wine here. At this point, thanks to the kitchen!! The restaurant offers dishes that can no longer be found in many Italian restaurants. The quality and taste leave nothing to be desired; guests can enjoy their food here. The service is always courteous, but never intrusive, just professional. The price level is rather high, but the guest receives a decent amount in return. I will see this restaurant again and again if the overall situation stays like this.

The food is very good, the crowd is more from the older generation and the prices are quite high. All in all, a harmonious concept for downtown Wiesbaden. The only thing that really bothers you are the urinals. These have a clumsy shape that seems to go wrong with most guys. The pool of urine that spreads all over the room and makes your shoes stick leads to an inner desire to maybe go to the toilet on the construction site next door.

On June 20th We celebrated our wedding after the civil wedding at Ristorante Si. The food was great and very tasty! We had a room just for us, which we particularly liked because we could celebrate in peace with our friends. The waiters were also very friendly and helpful and responded to all of our requests. Thank you again! I can only recommend this restaurant.👍👍👍

Located directly opposite the Casino underground car park when driving down from Sonnenberg. A modern/stylish restaurant. The terrace is covered and elegant. We had starters and also seafood, everything was very tasty. The menu is not too big and changes frequently, which we find very pleasant. There are also daily recommendations on the map. The service is attentive and remains so even when it's busy. These prices are absolutely reasonable and not exorbitant. We would love to come back when we are in Wiesbaden.

The most expensive starter in the world, I thought I would order a main course. Unfortunately the waiter didn't point this out to me. Were served by 4 different waiters. It was a bit chaotic but friendly. The pasta with pistachio tasted strongly of basil. Drinks were very good. Unfortunately the red wine was too warm.

We went there twice for lunch with our baby and were very impressed. The service is very attentive and friendly, which is unfortunately no longer a given. I was offered a separate room to breastfeed. For dinner we had the truffle pizza and the beef steak rump and found it excellent. We can absolutely recommend the restaurant and will come again.

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. Because of the very good reviews, we decided to eat there on Valentine's Day. It started with us being greeted very hectically and then being seated where someone had apparently sat recently. There was already bread and poured water on the table, which our neighbor confirmed when we pointed out to the waiter that it wasn't ours. Our order was taken fairly quickly, after which we waited around 40 minutes for our starter, which was then forgotten and our main course was brought to us. We pointed this out and received everything one by one. We also noticed an older service worker who clearly couldn't remember which table, which drinks or food belonged to. He walked around the tent and asked who ordered what or even called the number. Of course, that seemed very unprofessional and you sometimes had other people's food shoved in front of your face. About four different service staff served us that evening. The blame was shifted to each other and only one of them apologized for the chaos and tried to offer us something on the house to make it up to us. We politely declined because my partner didn't like his food. Unfortunately, it wasn't seasoned at all. The basil dominated my meal so much, which is why I only managed half of it. But this may be your own perception or taste. So when we asked for the bill, we were of course charged for the water that didn't belong to us. We had to point this out again and the service staff mentioned above cleaned this up again. If I knew the name of the Lord, I would at least praise him. We don't know why, but based on our experience, this restaurant is not recommended.

Italian restaurant in the center of Wiesbaden. Quality place, good variety of dishes and excellent wines. The staff very sociable and helpful. Service a little slow, however I admit that we had a large table. Nice atmosphere but nothing special. In summer with the terrace available, I imagine it's even better. Advised.

The atmosphere is almost 5 star. It is lovely venue softly adorned romantic style with 10 inch candles on the tables. The waiters and waitresses brought out fresh warm ciabatta bread with soft butter. The wine was ordered and came quickly. The pinot gringo was soft and floral and my Primitivo was soft plum and easy going down with silky tannins. We had six in our party. The appetizers came together as well as the main courses...they arrived together. It was not fast but that is ok.. this is Europe. It is just like that. Restaurant Si is a very large venue that seats around 100 people when combining the inside with the outside dining. My wife had the monk fish with spinach. It was a nice portion cooked perfectly. The flesh was soft, moist and flaky and nothing was salty. I had the Tagliontini Truffel. The noodles were perfectly al dente and a sizable portion. The truffle flavor was not that flavorful. For a classy place like the Ristorante Si, I definitely expected more. Our four friends enjoyed their dishes. I snuck some of the pistachio pesto. It was very flavorful. Salvatore is an excellent waiter. The prices are not inexpensive. This is a very nice place in Sonneberg near the Kurhaus so, it is expected. Thank you for a Lovely experience.

Wonderful restaurant. Great location near the spa park. The ambience inside and outside (nicely heated in winter) is simply a dream. Elegant and yet comfortable. And to top it off, the food is always a poem. So far I haven't eaten anything that didn't taste fabulous. The service is always friendly and on point.

Nous avons pris le demi canard au gnocchis, excellent, pas sec du tout, puis le parfait aux pistaches et le zabaione, avec glace, délicieux. Ambiance chic et calme, service efficace. Bon choix de vins à partir de 35 EUR la bouteille (pas pris, nous devions conduire) Pas les prix les plus bas, mais très raisonnable pour la qualité.

Vor- sowie Hauptspeisen waren unzumutbar. Geschmacksneutral, sodass Pfeffer und Salz nicht einmal ausreichten um ein einigermaßenes Aroma zu erzeugen. Die Vorspeise, eine Vorspeisenplatte mit gedünstetem Gemüse, war derartig lieblos auf den Teller geklatscht, sodass man annehmen musste, der Koch lernt noch. Das Personal war sehr oberflächlich, erst als wir das Menü reklamierten, wurden sie einigermaßen freundlich und boten uns einen kostenlosen Wein an. Fazit: Wer lecker essen gehen möchte, der sollte um dieses Restaurant einen großen Bogen machen.

Essen gut, aber nicht outstanding. Ein Essen kalt, Service leider nicht wirklich gut. Eine Hauptspeise kam verspätet, Weingläser zum Wein vergessen, Nachbestellungen mit erheblicher Verzögerung. Wenig Aufmerksamkeit vom Kellner und erhebliche sprachliche Probleme unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen. War ok, bei der Konkurrenz in Wiesbaden an Ristorante und dem Preisniveau geht es sicher deutlich besser.

Ein "Italiener" wie man ihn sich wünscht

Sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal. Geht auf jeden Wunsch ein. Jedes Mal ein kulinarisches Erlebnis.

Ich war zum Mittagessen dort und habe auch das „Lunch Menü“ genommen. Leider lagen zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptspeise über 30 Minuten Pause, was sehr unpraktisch ist, wenn man in der Mittagspause kommt und nur begrenzt viel Zeit hat. Es war nicht viel los dementsprechend hat es mich gewundert. Der Kellner war auch nicht besonders aufmerksam und hat sich weder entschuldigt, noch kam er zwischendrin zu unserem Tisch um zu fragen ob wir noch etwas benötigen. Das Ambiente ist nett und das Essen lecker, was man bei den Preisen aber auch erwarten kann.

Das Ambiente ist in Ordnung. Diverse Lichter flackerten. Der Service ist nett, aber leider unaufmerksam. Dem Essen fehlt die Finesse und Würzung. Wir haben zu zwei 120 Euro auf der Rechnung für eine Hauptspeise und Dessert sowie ein Aperitif, großes Wasser und zwei Glas Wein. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt nicht zusammen. Ich würde das Restaurant nicht weiter empfehlen und auch selbst nicht nochmal hin.

Das Essen war lecker, bei den Preisen habe ich aber auch nichts anderes erwartet. Der Service lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Keinerlei Aufmerksamkeit der Bedienungen dem Gast gegenüber. Grundsätzlich geht es dort sehr laut und hektisch zu, was leider ein genussvolles Abendessen unmöglich macht. Hauptspeise, ein Getränk und nix wie raus...........

So gerne essen wir im Restaurant SI mit Familie oder geschäftlich. Die Bedienung ist immer höflich, freundlich, hilfsbereit. Man geht einfach immer wieder gerne hin, weil man immer das gute Essen bekommt, tolles Ambiente und gute Laune garantiert erlebt. Empfehlenswert!!!
