Club Astoria in Köln

The Winterland is a great place for a punch or coffee at the Adenauer Weiher. Unfortunately, the prices for crepes are quite high (€6.50 for a crepe with sugar and cinnamon, one euro more for Nutella, etc.), so we stuck with coffee. But it was very tasty.

Good location. Nice staff. €7.10 for a glass of wine (ordinary Pinot Gris) from the stall, without service, standing outside, is clearly overpriced.

In short: Bad service. Food average. Ambiance “a matter of taste”. No recommendation.

We celebrated our wedding here in the Artroom. Food, service and atmosphere were top. We would do the same again. Many thanks to the team at Club Astoria.

I was there to photograph a wedding and the ambience was just beautiful. The staff was extremely professional and friendly – ​​highly recommended! The lake right outside the door also offers a fantastic backdrop for photos.

Wir waren an einem Donnerstagabend hier essen und es war einfach vorzüglich. Ich selbst bin Vegetarierin und vor allem die vegane Vorspeise war der Hammer. Die Ente und der Hirsch sorgten bei meinen Eltern für sehr viel Freude. Besonders empfehlen kann ich die Crème Brûlée 🤩

What a great location! You can quickly relax with a view of the beautiful Adenauer Weiher and, for example, enjoy the really rich and special brunch buffet on Sunday. 1. Rating refers ONLY to the Christmas market!!!!. Winter wonderland... that's how it was advertised but apart from a few fairy lights I wasn't offered anything. So I was very disappointed. Mulled wine stand, crepes and potato pancake stand. And that was it. There wasn't even Christmas music. You can definitely do better! There will be a separate review of the restaurant later. 2nd rating: Since we still haven't made it to the restaurant in the beautiful summer weather, we're rating the beer garden/terrace today. When the weather is nice, of course a highlight with a view of the pond. Everything is beautifully maintained. Pleasant music of mixed genre rounds off the stay very well as background music. We stopped by for the 'Bavarian Week' (end of September 2024) and treated ourselves to white sausage with pretzel and wheat beer. Service was really excellent that day... She was very attentive and nice. The menu offers a good selection of warm dishes... Next time we will sit inside (definitely in bad weather) and then there will be the final summary.

Restaurant with high standards. The sun terrace is highly recommended - you can enjoy the view of the nearby lake. If you're lucky you can even get a beach chair. The price of the restaurant is rather high. However, the quality of the food is appropriate. You can also just enjoy a coffee and a hot waffle in the sun.

Great location, cool beer garden and generally good service. Due to a lack of staff, you sometimes have to put up with longer waiting times (but still very attentive and friendly in comparison) and the price level has now reached a crass level.

We were in Cologne for a weekend and discovered this beautiful restaurant. Beautifully located by the water, we enjoyed tender Iberico pork chops, fantastic pumpkin mascarpone ravioli and a truly phenomenal pumpkin soup as a starter. The children's plates were also very nicely prepared. The prices are a little above average, but the excellent food and extremely courteous service make it totally worth it. I'd love to come back.

A nice place with a lot of variety, FC Stadium, Adenauerweiher, Jahnwiese. Were there with grandma and grandpa in 1957. Simply beautiful here.

We were there for brunch. Neither the ambience, nor the service, nor the food were convincing. Absolutely exorbitant, almost cheeky prices. Possibly remove extravagant things like oysters etc., which no normal human being would want to eat, from the menu; In return, the service and, above all, the quality of the other dishes should be improved. I've had a much better breakfast in various hotels for around 15 euros than here for 52 euros per person plus drinks plus parking fees in our own parking lot! 104 euros for two people - for that you can get a double room outside of Cologne including a very good breakfast! And I don't have to get the orange juice myself in the machine, it's brought to me at the table, the cappuccino doesn't cost any extra, I'm not offered instant scrambled eggs from the tetrapak in the warming container, etc. etc. Really a sad one been number. The breakfast would have been worth a maximum of 10 euros to me.

Beautifully located restaurant, we were on the outside terrace and received nice and friendly service, highly recommended, we will come back.

I leave Club Astoria with mixed feelings. The reservation was extremely uncomplicated and possible at short notice. The night before via open table, which was really cool. We parked in the free parking lot nearby and then walked there in about 5 minutes. The signage wasn't very good. We basically walked up to the restaurant from “above” and unfortunately there was nothing signposted. We found it after a short walk in the forest. We were welcomed very friendly and escorted to the table (outside). But that was also the moment when we didn't see the service for a long time. That was a real shame. Given the prices, I expect not only good food but also a service that wants to sell something good! Idea: If someone is accompanied to the table, ask directly for an aperitif. Then the first step has already been taken and you sell something. The chairs were a bit uncomfortable and unfortunately had hardly any cushions. When you open the map you quickly become confused. The map is extremely difficult to read because half of the page is decorated with distracting ornaments. There is also a lunch menu, an evening menu and also an afternoon menu. It would be much more user-friendly to issue these cards separately. After 15 minutes we ordered. Shortly afterwards a nice lady came out of the kitchen with a greeting. The gazpacho shot was very tasty. The salted butter and the dips with the bread were okay. But what really irritated me was the napkin in the bread basket. A napkin branded with the alcohol “Malibu.” So... that's what I expect in a store that offers cheap food so that the price is right. But here? So I would rather use a white napkin so that it fits. We had ordered a Lillet wild berry. Unfortunately, I have actually never received a Lillet that was so... sad. There was a skewer with 2 blueberries and a raspberry in it. That was nice but a few more berries would have made it look better - in this heat: frozen frozen berries! Then came the schnitzel and the extra fries! The food was super delicious! The schnitzel is well dressed and the lemon is packed in so that no seeds get on the schnitzel. These are the details that make it. It was really tasty and reasonable for the price! The service was really a bit stressed or nervous, as little things were often forgotten (mayo, a Coke). We had to speak clearly to the service so that we could get drinks. That was a shame. We then wanted dessert. Someone decided to have 2 scoops of ice cream. A ball cost €5! You already have expectations. I suspect that the ice cream was homemade because the flavors were special. But €5 is already steep.. I chose Petit Four. The ice cream was a bit... cheeky? The balls were normal size and then 2 blueberries and a raspberry were added on top... so yes... no. That was nothing. Price performance is not right. Unfortunately the petit fours weren't that tasty either... I suspect TK, but I could be wrong! The cocktails were also…problematic. They consisted of 80% crushed ice. So all in all you can tell that the location is crucial here. Right on the lake with a great view. The food was good but all in all there are better alternatives where more than just the food is good. I probably wouldn't visit Club Astoria again for the time being. Maybe again sometime. There are always second chances. With a few small changes it can be really good!

According to the internet, reservations in the beer garden are not possible! - Found a nice table and had to vacate it because it was reserved! I was really taken for a ride there! You don't do that with good customers! Service here 0 points. I left upset too!

Well-kept, elegant ambience and very tasty gourmet dishes such as the fish recommendation of the day "swordfish steak, baked broccoli, beetroot risotto" or the veal boiled beef... Mh! Excellent Pinot Gris... The 3 "Petit Fours" are also delicious... Mega-friendly, competent staff... EVERYTHING is simply perfect here. Absolute recommendation!!! PS.: The beer garden of the “Club Astoria” restaurant with the magnificent view of the Adenauerweiher is really a highlight and certainly the most beautiful beer garden in Cologne.

Wir waren schon mehrmals im Club Astoria und haben jedesmal den Brunch genossen. Das Buffet ist vielfältige, es wird ständig nachgeliefert und lässt wenig Wünsche offen. Durch die zeitliche Staffelung der warmen Speisen entzerrt sich auch der Andrang. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben schon den nächsten Termin gebucht.

Der Biergarten ist eine Idylle mit tollem Blick auf den See. Speisekarte ist voller convenience food Elementen. Ich bestellte heute einen Cesars Salad, der auf der Karte mit Romana Salat, Putenbruststreifen, Kirschtomaten und Parmesan angekündigt wurde. Knapp 20€. Romana wurde durch Eisbergsalat mit den Außenblättern und Strunkteilen interpretiert. Putenstreifen waren totgebraten, keines Falls frisch gebraten, sondern in der Mikrowelle erhitzt. Pappiges Dressing. Nach der Bestellung kam innerhalb von 5 Minuten der Salat. Ganz schlechtes Anzeichen bei einem gut besuchten Biergarten. Auf meine Beschwerde „ falscher Salat, Pute totgebraten, den Rest habe ich mir geschenkt, Als Reaktion kam: Das sage ich der Küche. Dankeschön dafür, ich hätte es auch in mein nicht vorhandenes Tagebuch schreiben können. Trinkt hier was, genießt die Aussicht, aber esst woanders!

At that time the salmon trout already looked like it was being attacked by a horde of piranhas. But well, the hefty €52 in combination with All You Can Eat is, for some, an invitation to over-the-top performance. Around midday, breakfast changes to lunch and unfortunately the taste of that didn't make up for the appearance of the breakfast. To put it constructively, anyone who cares about quantity rather than quality is in the right place here. We had booked for 7 people, one of whom unfortunately dropped out with a fever. We announced this on site. Whereupon we were shown to the table without a word. I asked for a nice table at OpenTable - the table we were assigned couldn't have been more dreary. Also constructive here: the Astoria is beautiful from the front - you don't want to sit in the "salon". Not for the price. When we wanted to pay at some point, the worst thing happened. the seventh (sick, absent) person should be charged in full. After a surprised comment as to whether she was serious, the deputy restaurant manager (and this has to be admitted) who was unfortunately extremely unauthorized in his responsibility, gave us the children's price. That's a good €25. The hospitality continued exactly until then, after which reference was made to the general terms and conditions and that the managing director was on vacation. You should have canceled 48 hours in advance - unfortunately it's sometimes difficult to predict when you have a fever. I'm very satisfied, today was the first time at Sunday brunch and it won't be the last time. Food great, service great, view very nice. Totally recommended. A small disappointment: no free parking for guests in the parking lot in front of the house.

We had a brunch reservation for a 75th birthday party. In the reservation we mentioned the birthday and asked for a nice place. When we arrived we were seated in a corner of a large, uncomfortable room and not served at first. The food was ok, but definitely not worth the price. The biggest shame came with the bill. One person in the group got very sick the night before with a fever of 40 degrees and had to go to the hospital and unfortunately we had to pay half the price for this person because the terms and conditions state that you have to cancel 48 hours in advance if you don't come. That hospitality and in this case perhaps goodwill is not known here. We weren't the only dissatisfied guests. A couple in front of us had bought a voucher for brunch in 2023 and now had to pay more because they raised the prices in 2024. I can only advise against coming here. We are all very disappointed and stunned by this “service”

At Christmas we received a voucher for brunch from our children with non-alcoholic drinks. How we wanted to pay, we had to pay an additional 5 euros per person because the VAT had increased, we were not informed in advance, not by email still on the club's website. Just for your information: Single-purpose vouchers must be subject to sales tax by the restaurateur at the time the voucher is issued. If the voucher was issued in 2023 and redeemed in 2024, the reduced sales tax rate will still apply to the voucher amount, which is not the case with Club Astoria Us fraud on the customer, therefore not recommended. Parking space for the guest is subject to a charge and that is not exactly cheap and no customer service. The best thing is the view of the lake, you don't need anything else, which is actually a shame for such a location.

Reservation requests were not taken into account, a family member who fell ill in the morning had to pay despite not showing up, the person in charge of the restaurant was on vacation, there was no substitute, in short a very unpleasant rip-off experience.

Die Anfahrt ist einfach und parken kann man auf einem großen Parkplatz vor dem Club. Das Ticket wird vom Club freigeschaltet. Die Lage ist sehr schön, von der Terrasse hat man einen tollen Blick ins Grüne und auf den Weiher. Es gibt auch einen Biergarten. Der Service ist freundlich, weiß aber zum Teil nicht Bescheid, was das Essen anbetrifft. Die Speisekarte ist recht vielfältig, aber man macht m. E. einen Fehler. Man versucht im Hinblick auf die Speisen in der oberen Liga mitzuspielen, aber dafür ist das Essen nicht gut genug.

I had a great fillet of grass-fed beef!!!!

Apparently we had had a bad day. Despite making an early reservation in the restaurant for our wedding anniversary, we were seated next to each other at an emergency table. It was a place where you put the children's chairs when they weren't in use. The order didn't go well either as only one dish was served. Instead of preparing two steaks again, my dish was kept warm, which didn't do much for the taste of the steak. Unfortunately, the advertised ingredients that we had to ask for were missing. We hope this was an oversight and our next visit will be more successful.

For brunch: Very good breakfast and warm food was served from 12 p.m. Everything was very tasty and excellent. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether the price is justified.

Everything is right here. A good restaurant with a beautiful terrace, a beer garden facing the lake with friendly service and then this unique view of the Adenauer pond. It was not without reason that the Belgians chose this spot after the war to build their officers' mess here.

I celebrated my small wedding reception at Club Astoria last weekend and am more than satisfied. The first contact for the booking was friendly and smooth. On the day of the celebration we were warmly welcomed and the table was beautifully prepared. The staff was very accommodating and polite. The food was incredibly tasty and my guests were also very impressed by the location, the food and the staff. Everything went perfectly and I couldn't have imagined it any better. We will definitely come back as a guest!

Unfortunately not recommended. We received a cash voucher for the club for our friends' wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, the Corona period intervened and several illnesses. The club was also temporarily closed so the voucher could only now be redeemed. Clear announcement from the staff “Tough luck - expired” and not even a small compensation in the form of a drink. We are super disappointed 😞. PLEASE DO NOT BUY VOUCHERS FOR FRIENDS!!! With a simple (Wiener Schnitzel) price of €30, we would have expected more accommodation. Very unfortunate. We and our friends will avoid the club in the future.

Unfortunately disappointing. Paid parking space for guests. EUR 1.70 - EUR 2.50 per hour depending on the event. A 20 EUR voucher that had expired during the Corona period and that we had received as a gift and for which money was paid was no longer accepted (older than 3 years and therefore expired). I would have hoped for a little more goodwill. However, the reaction to my question was "Haha, absolutely not." Then the "great view" was completely blocked with parasols, so we didn't actually see anything of the lake. The restaurant was closed to a private party at 2:30 p.m., no mention of this on the website or in the online reservation. Guests who wanted to eat after us were turned away, despite the long journey. This would all be even more painful if the food had added value. However, our dishes (Wiener Schnitzel) were rather average and bland. It was filling, but it wasn't a taste experience.

Great location, great location, the service was very friendly (both red apron and black apron):-), the burger was very tasty, the truffle mayonnaise was awesome. The beer was really cold, the coffee was delicious and hot 😉……everything was great!!! If you want to look for something, I would have to say that the roll was cold 😉… All joking aside, that is absolutely negligible, as overall it was just great and definitely recommended!! Both the outside dining and the break in the restaurant. Compliments to everyone!! We always enjoy coming here!!👍 and therefore give it 6 out of five stars 😉👌👌

Spent a wonderful Father's Day with the family. Great organization, super attentive service and good food 👍what more could you want🤷‍♀️we ate lavishly and had a good time for 6 hours. A super nice beer garden with a view of the water. Very attentive, fast and friendly service! The food was also very good with normal prices in the beer garden. Nicely written card. Clean toilets. Everything really good. Unfortunately, there are really a lot of wasps (but they can't do anything about that) - but it might help to hang wasp traps in the parasols or place the burning coffee things between or on the tables to reduce them a bit. Some of the guests around us would be without them Wasps certainly stayed longer and were obviously very annoyed. A pity.

I was pleasantly surprised, although the restaurant is close to the stadium in Cologne and belongs to the upper class, the prices were not excessive. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Wir hatten unser Netzwerk After Work im Club Astoria. In einem separaten Raum konnten wir uns gut austauschen und wurden vom Service herzlich und aufmerksam versorgt. Die Spargelgerichte waren einfach superlecker, der beste den ich je gegessen haben und die hausgemachte Hollandaise ein Gedicht. Auch die anderen Köstlichkeiten haben überzeugt. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend und werden uns sicherlich nochmals dort treffen.

A very nice beer garden, perfect for the summer. The prices are reasonable, definitely okay for snacks. The service could be a little better organized so that new guests don't have to wait so long, but that's okay.

Great atmosphere, beautifully located on the lake. The food from the Sunday buffet was delicious, plentiful and varied. The only thing that scares you is the very high prices; With a family of 4 you pay almost as much for brunch as you would for a weekly shop. I also wonder what happens to the food when brunch is dismantled? Maybe the restaurant could think about initiatives like 'Too Good to Go', because it would be a shame that food would be thrown away when someone else could still be happy about getting good food at a reasonable price.

We had to ask for an extra chair five times... the chairs are so outdated that you get your clothes stuck on them and my €120 shirt is now ruined!

First and definitely last time there. Due to the beautiful location on the lake, we wanted to give the restaurant another chance, but unfortunately the beautiful ambience is overshadowed by poor service (as noted by the owner!). The food was similar to hospital food! No sophistication, no pizzazz. The prices are definitely too high for that. After the main course (like the starter) went back into the kitchen because it wasn't seasoned at all and some of it was still raw, we talked to the owner, who responded to the complaint with such a disgusting, condescending arrogance! Everyone else would probably like it except me and my wife, our standards are too high! After a long back and forth, a friendly waiter exchanged it but this time it tasted even worse than before. My respect!! A previously promised reparation by the owner did not take place either; he probably no longer had time for us. All in all, I recommend not visiting this restaurant, poor food, spineless owner and a nice atmosphere.

We had Sunday brunch. We have enjoyed it several times. However, I remembered him a little better. The service was excellent and the beautiful view also spoiled us.

We were here during a communion. The location is beautifully located and perfect for taking a walk around the lake every now and then. The food was very good, although not cheap. The asparagus and especially the perfectly cooked beef fillet were fantastic. What should be highlighted is the very attentive and courteous service.

Unfriendly service, overpriced, food seems like it was yesterday, just an ungodly experience.

Wir waren schon häufiger im Astoria zu Gast. Dieses Mal zum Spargelessen im Rahmen eines Geburtstages. Wie immer war der Service und das Personal sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war ebenfalls überragend, so dass wir natürlich gerne wiederkommen.

We've been waiting for drinks for 35 minutes. Service super unfriendly. If there aren't enough staff, you shouldn't set up so many tables.

Unfortunately there will be no more draft beer on match day... it's a shame, as you actually know in advance
