We were in a group for dinner at the Astoria Restaurant. The food was almost unappetizingly large portions, nicely presented, but the taste was mediocre. The dip that was brought had to be paid extra. The restaurant is located by the lake and has a very nice view. Due to the lack of textiles, the acoustics are too loud for an upscale restaurant. It is very tiring for older people to converse. The service was understaffed with one person responsible for half of the restaurant. In addition to the high prices, the parking space has to be paid extra at €6.

Very nice terrace to have a drink with views of the lake. The only thing is that there are long lines to order. They don't serve you at the table. Ideal for large groups too.

I was particularly impressed not only by the culinary diversity, but also by the attention to detail in the presentation of the dishes. I am already familiar with the club from meetings with patient groups; especially the super-tasty waffles in the afternoon! The day before yesterday I celebrated my birthday with a nice dinner. The restaurant exudes a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. Instead of the great view of the lake, there was the pretty illuminated outdoor location. The entire team, from reception to service staff, is very friendly and accommodating and, last but not least, the food is very, very tasty. We had the vegan pasta orecchiette and cranberry venison ragout. Finally, the crème brûlée with a really good crispy crust – mmmh 😋. The selection of wines should also convince every wine lover. A very clear recommendation from me and I would love to come back! Many thanks again to the team 🫶

A very nice location with attentive staff who always tried to make the guests' stay pleasant. Unfortunately, the food wasn't good for the prices but rather average. My Flankstaek was chewy and lukewarm. It's a shame, maybe I'll choose a different dish next time.

Special praise goes to Mr. Grothuesmann, the head of the service department, who made our visit a completely successful experience with his friendly and professional manner. Our waitress Melitta was also excellent – ​​attentive, warm and always there for us with a smile. We felt completely comfortable and well looked after. There were 13 of us on site. 3 geese pre-ordered. + Dishes from the menu. Sometimes it seemed like the waiter wanted to put pressure on us to order something. 1 goose was carved at the table, the other 2 came as finished portions. It was actually supposed to be 1 goose for 4 people. Somehow the plates with the finished portions were a lot smaller than the plates that were portioned at the table. We had to order more dumplings and red cabbage because there wasn't enough of everything. For 160 euros per goose, you can certainly expect more. The beer garden and the terrace are great, but you can definitely eat better goose somewhere else.

The wine selection is a dream and the prices are absolutely acceptable. This also applies to the prices of the dishes, as the quality is extremely good. Went to Club Astoria for goose dinner. The goose for four people was very worth it. The meat, sides and sauce were delicious. I could have done without the very hard baked apple. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. You had to repeatedly speak to waiters to get a wine list, for example. The starter plates were still not completely cleared away for the main course. The rooms are very nice, but next time we would probably use the goose taxi service.

Wir waren heute Gans essen im Club Astoria und es war traumhaft. Erstmal schon bei der Reservierung, waren alle so nett, kompetent und zuvorkommend. Vor Ort war der Herr mit Anzug, ganz am Anfang, zwar etwas Voreingenommen, als zwei junge Damen reinkamen, aber er hat uns auch gar nicht bedient. Unser Keller war wirklich super nett, sehr freundlich, lustig, unterhaltsam und zuvorkommend. Ich habe lange nicht mehr so einen guten Service erlebt. Wir haben viele Service Erfahrungen ausgetauscht und spass gehabt. Das Essen war hervorragend. Die Gans war total fein und zart, das rotkohl war einer der besten die ich je hatte. Der Feldsalat als Vorspeise war göttlich und die Creme bruele war auch sehr lecker. Alles in allem wirklich herausragend. Man muss auf jedenfall reservieren. Wir haben uns rund um sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen definitiv wieder.

At over 100 euros for 2 small soups, a portion of goose and one pasta, you can expect a minimum level of customer service. Club Astoria lost two regular guests today.

The Winterland is a great place for a punch or coffee at the Adenauer Weiher. Unfortunately, the prices for crepes are quite high (€6.50 for a crepe with sugar and cinnamon, one euro more for Nutella, etc.), so we stuck with coffee. But it was very tasty.

1. Rating refers ONLY to the Christmas market!!!!. Winter wonderland... that's how it was advertised but apart from a few fairy lights I wasn't offered anything. So I was very disappointed. Mulled wine stand, crepes and potato pancake stand. And that was it. There wasn't even Christmas music. You can definitely do better! There will be a separate review of the restaurant later. 2nd rating: Since we still haven't made it to the restaurant in the beautiful summer weather, we're rating the beer garden/terrace today. When the weather is nice, of course a highlight with a view of the pond. Everything is beautifully maintained. Pleasant music of mixed genre rounds off the stay very well as background music. We stopped by for the 'Bavarian Week' (end of September 2024) and treated ourselves to white sausage with pretzel and wheat beer. Service was really excellent that day... We were there for brunch. Neither the ambience, nor the service, nor the food were convincing. Absolutely exorbitant, almost cheeky prices. Possibly remove extravagant things like oysters etc., which no normal human being would want to eat, from the menu; In return, the service and, above all, the quality of the other dishes should be improved. I've had a much better breakfast in various hotels for around 15 euros than here for 52 euros per person plus drinks plus parking fees in our own parking lot! 104 euros for two people - for that you can get a double room outside of Cologne including a very good breakfast! And I don't have to get the orange juice myself in the machine, it's brought to me at the table, the cappuccino doesn't cost any extra, I'm not offered instant scrambled eggs from the tetrapak in the warming container, etc. etc. Really a sad one been number. The breakfast would have been worth a maximum of 10 euros to me.

I leave Club Astoria with mixed feelings. The reservation was extremely uncomplicated and possible at short notice. The night before via open table, which was really cool. We parked in the free parking lot nearby and then walked there in about 5 minutes. The signage wasn't very good. We basically walked up to the restaurant from “above” and unfortunately there was nothing signposted. We found it after a short walk in the forest. We were welcomed very friendly and escorted to the table (outside). But that was also the moment when we didn't see the service for a long time. That was a real shame. Given the prices, I expect not only good food but also a service that wants to sell something good! Idea: If someone is accompanied to the table, ask directly for an aperitif. Then the first step has already been taken and you sell something. The chairs were a bit uncomfortable and unfortunately had hardly any cushions. When you open the map you quickly become confused. The map is extremely difficult to read because half of the page is decorated with distracting ornaments. There is also a lunch menu, an evening menu and also an afternoon menu. It would be much more user-friendly to issue these cards separately. After 15 minutes we ordered. Shortly afterwards a nice lady came out of the kitchen with a greeting. The gazpacho shot was very tasty. The salted butter and the dips with the bread were okay. But what really irritated me was the napkin in the bread basket. A napkin branded with the alcohol “Malibu.” So... that's what I expect in a store that offers cheap food so that the price is right. But here? So I would rather use a white napkin so that it fits. We had ordered a Lillet wild berry. Unfortunately, I have actually never received a Lillet that was so... sad. There was a skewer with 2 blueberries and a raspberry in it. That was nice but a few more berries would have made it look better - in this heat: frozen frozen berries! Then came the schnitzel and the extra fries! The food was super delicious! The schnitzel is well dressed and the lemon is packed in so that no seeds get on the schnitzel. These are the details that make it. It was really tasty and reasonable for the price! The service was really a bit stressed or nervous, as little things were often forgotten (mayo, a Coke). We had to speak clearly to the service so that we could get drinks. That was a shame. We then wanted dessert. Someone decided to have 2 scoops of ice cream. A ball cost €5! You already have expectations. I suspect that the ice cream was homemade because the flavors were special. But €5 is already steep.. I chose Petit Four. The ice cream was a bit... cheeky? The balls were normal size and then 2 blueberries and a raspberry were added on top... so yes... no. That was nothing. Price performance is not right. Unfortunately the petit fours weren't that tasty either... I suspect TK, but I could be wrong! The cocktails were also…problematic. They consisted of 80% crushed ice. So all in all you can tell that the location is crucial here. Right on the lake with a great view. The food was good but all in all there are better alternatives where more than just the food is good. I probably wouldn't visit Club Astoria again for the time being. Maybe again sometime. There are always second chances. With a few small changes it can be really good!

Durch die zeitliche Staffelung der warmen Speisen entzerrt sich auch der Andrang. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben schon den nächsten Termin gebucht.

Der Biergarten ist eine Idylle mit tollem Blick auf den See. Speisekarte ist voller convenience food Elementen. Ich bestellte heute einen Cesars Salad, der auf der Karte mit Romana Salat, Putenbruststreifen, Kirschtomaten und Parmesan angekündigt wurde. Knapp 20€. Romana wurde durch Eisbergsalat mit den Außenblättern und Strunkteilen interpretiert. Putenstreifen waren totgebraten, keines Falls frisch gebraten, sondern in der Mikrowelle erhitzt. Pappiges Dressing. Nach der Bestellung kam innerhalb von 5 Minuten der Salat. Ganz schlechtes Anzeichen bei einem gut besuchten Biergarten. Auf meine Beschwerde „ falscher Salat, Pute totgebraten, den Rest habe ich mir geschenkt, Als Reaktion kam: Das sage ich der Küche. Dankeschön dafür, ich hätte es auch in mein nicht vorhandenes Tagebuch schreiben können. Trinkt hier was, genießt die Aussicht, aber esst woanders!

When the staff and we had nothing more to say to each other, the next guest came and complained: He actually had a voucher for the "AllYouCanEat" - but then he had to pay for the drinks because the prices had been raised. Conclusion: I always enjoyed going to the Astoria beer garden. I even uploaded 5 stars and a nice photo for it here. Obviously, this is a store where the terms and conditions have more weight than a satisfied guest who is celebrating a birthday.

I'm very satisfied, today was the first time at Sunday brunch and it won't be the last time. Food great, service great, view very nice. Totally recommended. A small disappointment: no free parking for guests in the parking lot in front of the house.

Reservation requests were not taken into account, a family member who fell ill in the morning had to pay despite not showing up, the person in charge of the restaurant was on vacation, there was no substitute, in short a very unpleasant rip-off experience.

At Christmas we received a voucher for brunch from our children with non-alcoholic drinks. How we wanted to pay, we had to pay an additional 5 euros per person because the VAT had increased, we were not informed in advance, not by email still on the club's website. Just for your information: Single-purpose vouchers must be subject to sales tax by the restaurateur at the time the voucher is issued. If the voucher was issued in 2023 and redeemed in 2024, the reduced sales tax rate will still apply to the voucher amount, which is not the case with Club Astoria Us fraud on the customer, therefore not recommended. Parking space for the guest is subject to a charge and that is not exactly cheap and no customer service. The best thing is the view of the lake, you don't need anything else, which is actually a shame for such a location.

We had a brunch reservation for a 75th birthday party. In the reservation we mentioned the birthday and asked for a nice place. When we arrived we were seated in a corner of a large, uncomfortable room and not served at first. The food was ok, but definitely not worth the price. The biggest shame came with the bill. One person in the group got very sick the night before with a fever of 40 degrees and had to go to the hospital and unfortunately we had to pay half the price for this person because the terms and conditions state that you have to cancel 48 hours in advance if you don't come. That hospitality and in this case perhaps goodwill is not known here. We weren't the only dissatisfied guests. A couple in front of us had bought a voucher for brunch in 2023 and now had to pay more because they raised the prices in 2024. I can only advise against coming here. We are all very disappointed and stunned by this “service”

Die Anfahrt ist einfach und parken kann man auf einem großen Parkplatz vor dem Club. Das Ticket wird vom Club freigeschaltet. Die Lage ist sehr schön, von der Terrasse hat man einen tollen Blick ins Grüne und auf den Weiher. Es gibt auch einen Biergarten. Der Service ist freundlich, weiß aber zum Teil nicht Bescheid, was das Essen anbetrifft. Die Speisekarte ist recht vielfältig, aber man macht m. E. einen Fehler. Man versucht im Hinblick auf die Speisen in der oberen Liga mitzuspielen, aber dafür ist das Essen nicht gut genug.

A wonderful place with a very good restaurant and beer garden, located directly on the Adenauer Weiher. Very nice, very attentive and helpful service staff. No excessive prices. Own parking space. Club Astoria invites you not only after a walk but for all occasions. 👍☺️

Apparently we had had a bad day. Despite making an early reservation in the restaurant for our wedding anniversary, we were seated next to each other at an emergency table. It was a place where you put the children's chairs when they weren't in use. The order didn't go well either as only one dish was served. Instead of preparing two steaks again, my dish was kept warm, which didn't do much for the taste of the steak. Unfortunately, the advertised ingredients that we had to ask for were missing. We hope this was an oversight and our next visit will be more successful.

For brunch: Very good breakfast and warm food was served from 12 p.m. Everything was very tasty and excellent. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether the price is justified.
