Very pleasant place. Everything was delicious, especially the lasagne… the best I've tried so far. I can only recommend it!

There were 10 of us one evening and we ate well. We ordered an antipasti plate and a pizza per person. Food was great and the waiter Antonio was very nice. I can recommend the pins.

I celebrated my 50th birthday at "Ciao" at the weekend. The buffet was three times more and more varied than agreed, wonderfully colorful and attractively prepared - for a fixed price. The staff was discreetly in the background all evening, but attentive and always friendly, even at a late hour. Special requests were happily fulfilled, and my guests once again called me a "perfectionist" because everything looked and ran so great. I would like to pass on this praise to Marco and his team!!!!! Thanks!

Charming Italian restaurant with a nice Italian waiter and good cuisine. Unfortunately overpriced. That's why the prices aren't listed in the menu on the website... Unfortunately, we won't be visiting the restaurant again. Vegan dishes not available.

Our experience was quite nice. As mentioned by others, the language exchange was a bit more complex, but we found the service to be polite and generous. Our meals were above average.

In questo locale si ha la possibilità di gustare prodotti italiani doc, piatti realizzati con ingredienti della mia bella Italia garantendo una vera e propria esplosione di sapori. La presentazione dei piatti è un'autentica opera d'arte. Ho assaggiato un po’ di tutto ed è stata un'esperienza culinaria straordinaria. Gli ingredienti freschi e di alta qualità e il sapore era semplicemente delizioso. Un dolce da gustare al cucchiaio è stato il tocco finale di una gustosissima cena. Consiglio vivamente questo posto a tutti gli amanti del buon cibo; paradiso per gli amanti della carne, del pesce e anche della pizza e perché no anche del buon vino. In the evening, around 8:30 p.m., we just wanted one more espresso. Asked: and no problem. We didn't eat, but on previous visits it was always very good. Next time we'll come back for dinner. Very friendly and accommodating. We were happy.

Food is good but service is VERY BAD, specially on lunch time

Excellent food, impeccable service, clean environment and friendly, smiling staff. Appetizer with carpaccio and chanterelles and delicious souffle with Gorgonzola cream. Absolutely try Antonio's pizza, you will find yourself in Italy while you are in Monaco 🇮🇹🍕🍻 Lastly, cream puffs with the chef's lemon cream. A delight for the palate!!!

Spaghetti very good, pizza good, Fish etc was not tried, But it seems to be well received! Friendliness of the staff is very good, the price is within normal limits. Small shady garden for dining which is very pleasant on warm days! Partly a bit noisy due to the street and nothing for children such as play facilities etc. I don't value both points because that would be unfair in the middle of Munich, but I would like to mention it! Parking spaces are typically rare in the city, but there is the V-Markt nearby where you can park! More problematic for people who don't walk well or even use a wheelchair. The interior is decorated in dark wood and is particularly nice in the evenings in the beautifully designed niches with wall paintings! I will also complete my review here once enough impressions have been collected, photos taken and the toilets have also been checked. I can also recommend this Italian!

After trying many pizzerias in Munich, I finally found Pizza Ciao and was amazed. The thin crust, tasty sauce, and generous cheese make it the best pizzeria I've tried here. From now on, Ciao will be my go-to. Highly recommended!

The pizza base was quite good, but "capricious" with the artichokes in vinegar. not even the pizza with anchovies and capers - 5 anchovies and a handful of capers in one corner, and all this for 25 euros 🫣

Ordered pizza to take away. Really very bad. Totally mild, hardly any taste of its own. Not seasoned at all?! Absolutely ridiculous for the price.

It used to be a decent quality italian restaurant in the hood but we stop visiting it as the quality of the service declined. Today we ordered 3 pizzas, the Margherita base was awful on the 3 pizzas, the cheese was melted like burned plastic. The pizza salami was also a letdown, aside from the plastic cheese the low quality fake salami looked out of place a true italian pizza. I ordered extra olives, rucula, and Parmaschinken on my Margherita, 🙄 big mistake, something like 2.5€ for 7 olives, 2.5€ for the triste rucula, and 3+€ for something like schinken, maybe from the Luis Voutton factory in Calabria. Never again! Ciao bambino.

Ordered pizza prosciutto and spaghetti carbonara. The carbonara was so good but the pizza was just ok. A little watery, maybe the dough was too thin or the was it the tomato sauce which has more water in it. It was kind on total

We had a office dinner event here and food was not good. Overall the service was decent but the food was below average. E.g. Risotto was served cold. Tagliatelle with vegetables had a couple string beans on it. The fish with sauce order was undercooked. Almost all dishes had only string beans as a side. Presentation was poor as well.

Italien Faire und 1A Italienische Kost. Wir waren eine Gruppe von über 20 Personen eine Mischung aus Kinder und Erwachsenen. Fazit: Super freundlicher Service, typisch Italienisch er Flaire. Eine Vorspeisenplatte die einen Fühlen lässt als wäre man im Süden Italiens und Haupspeisen die nicht nur satt machen sondern schmecken als hätte sie Gott selbst erschaffen! Italy Fair and 1A Italian food. We were a group of over 20 people a mix of children and adults. Conclusion: Super friendly service, typical Italian flair. A starter platter that makes you feel like you're in the south of Italy and main dishes that not only fill you up but taste like God himself created them! Really good pizzas, but a bit expensive. Pasta is rather below average & too expensive for what it is. The ambience inside is nice, but sitting outside on the corner of two main streets is not that great.

My wife and I usually eat at the weekend. We like it very much. We like to go there. The boss is very friendly and the food and drinks come fresh to the table. You can't miss it.

I've eaten there several times now and every time it's been incredibly tasty and my companions were just as enthusiastic. Great service, I think the prices are ok. I would happily and often recommend this restaurant.

During my 8 week stay in Munich this became my go-to restaurant when I was working late. Amazing, authentic and delicious. All out Italians. No clue what they said. But the vibe, the service, the clientèle was perfect. I have now been trough most of their pasta dishes and they are all great. 10/10 - will miss this place when going home.

Sehr netter Italiener an der Ecke. Wir kommen etwa 2x im Monat ins Ciao, meistens unter der Woche, wenn wir nicht selber kochen wollen, sitzen immer in der süßen 2er Ecke. Die Pizza ist sehr gut, auch zum abholen. Die Trüffelpasta aus dem Parmesanlaib ist super lecker! Pasta mit Rinderfiletspitzen ist auch immer wieder top.

Einfach nur ein Wort PERFEKT!!!!!!

Das Restaurant war gegen 1315 leicht besucht, die Bedienung aufmerksam, freundlich und zügig. Getränke und Essen waren schnell am Tisch. Leider waren die Tortellini nicht ganz durch und etwas zu Bissfest. Die Lasagne war in der Mitte kalt. Nach weiteren 10 Minuten im offen nach Rückgabe, war sie Lasagne nur noch ein Brei der Geschmacklich genauso wenig überzeugt hat wie die Tortilinie. Die Tiramisu ging tatsächlich aufs Haus, aber leider auch hier gab es keine Geschmacksexplosion. Für die Entschuldigung und das aufs Haus gibt's aber einen Xtra Stern bei service, es gibt genügend die diesen Anstand nicht haben.

Wir in einer Gruppe von 10 Personen dort. Mit Reservierung hat das alles gut geklappt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Die Preise sind verhältnismäßig. Alles in allem lohnt es sich wieder hinzu gehen.

Addio, nicht ciao! Mittagsangebot Penne Napoli (Nudeln zu hart), gemischter Salat lieblos. Oft fuhr ich mit dem Bus vorbei, wollte wegen CIAO mal einkehren. Nee, wegen der Erfahrung nehm ich den Weg dorthin bestimmt nicht extra auf mich. Schade eigentlich.

Ieri sfortunatamente ho ordinato una pasta da portare via, era buonissima..Però volevo rigatoni e non penne..Il cameriere mi ha chiesto scusa per imprensione al telefono dove quando sono entrato ho notato conoscendo tutti volti nuovi..Sia il pizzaiolo che il cameriere ho chiesto dello Chef che conosco ed dal personale vecchio.. Zuerst die falschen Pizzen (bestellt war Rustica und Tonno) geliefert, dann korrigiert wobei nur eine frisch zubereitet wurde und die an sich Bestellte noch auf der Kaffeemaschine warm lag. Rustica teils interessant belegt mit den Strunkenden der Peperoni.... War leider heute enttäuschend, da auch zur Entschädigung nichts angeboten wurde..

SORRY !! SERVICE MUSS KUNDENORIENTIERTER WERDEN - GLÜCK für das Restaurant, dass kaum Konkurrenz im Viertel vorhanden ist …! war hier schön öfters zum Mittagessen und Business Lunch und eigentlich war bis dato alles in Ordnung. Gestern waren wir Abends hier und sowas habe ich schon lang nicht mehr erlebt… Obwohl nicht viel los war kam dass Essen nach und nach und nicht zusammen Eine Bestellung war angeblich im Ofen verkohlt und musste neu gemacht werden, allerdings fehlte auch nach 30 Minuten jegliche Spur und man wurde nur vertröstet und hingehalten. Bei direkter Konfrontation wurde die Schuld auf Kellner, damn Pizzabäcker dann auf die Technik geschoben. Ein kleines Entgegenkommen wie z.B. Salat, Tiramisu, Espresso etc hätte gereicht… Fazit: Essen ist bodenständig und gut, Ambiente ist alt und bissal runtergekommen, Service muss sich verbessern.

Lecker Italiener zu angemessenen Preisen. Wir hatten Fleisch und Pasta und es war alles sehr fein abgeschmeckt.

Top Italianisches Restaurant am Balanstr. 60 in München. Sehr leckere Speisen, gute auswahl und preis leistung. Wir haben Sylvester mit Freunde gefeiert und es war unglaublich toll! Immer wieder gern. Ciao

Charming small restaurant on a deserted street. Salad with shaved parm, pine nuts, cucumber and cherry tomato was dressed perfectly. The gnocchi was good but the sauce was a little salty. The penne with gorgonzola was very tasty. Good value and nice atmosphere.

Das Mittagsmenü hat gut geschmeckt

Wir waren gestern dort und es war echt richtig gut. Wir haben 2 Pizzen gegessen,der Teig war locker und fluffig,der Belag lecker. Das Dressing des Salads war super. Besonders haben wir uns über die kostenlose Vorspeise gefreut. Die Mitarbeiter waren total freundlich und zuvorkommend,das Ambiente mit der Musik atemberaubend schön. Immer wieder gern!!

Pizza okay, service unhöflich, Mittagsmenü ohne Vegetarische Option. Kellner richtig dreist. Er hat uns extra Getränke und Beilagen aufgezwungen, die wir nicht bestellt hatten. Trinkgeld hat er auch selbständig im Kartenleser eingegeben.

Pizza buona, anche la pasta, forse uno dei migliori ristoranti italiani di Monaco ma i tempi di preparazione della pasta andrebbero ridotti ed inoltre, la mancia non si chiede ma si da se i camerieri sono stati gentili e non sbuffanti per tutto il tempo della permanenza. Così funziona in Italia.

HI my name is Andrea, I'm italian and I'd like to say a few words about this restaurant. I have never tried any plates before so I can't judge the quality of everything but I can definitely say for sure that looks like there's a lack of taking care of the hygiene procedures in the pizza area. My wife comes back today from work(02 sep 2020) with half of a pizza left from lunch and while I try to grab a slice I notice a small hair of 0.5cm(looked like an eyebrows' hair) coming out from the crost of the pizza, I try to pull it out and I can't manage to move it; I keep trying until I give up and I start opening the dough figuring out it was a hair of 3-4cm that looked like a pubic hair!!! DISGUSTING! As Chef I understand that this situations are not crazy and this can happen but finding a hair inside the pizza dough, not on top of it, means that the pizza baker wasn't pay attention and he missed of covering properly hairy body parts(I want to hope the hair came from his head or his beard and not else where, still disgusting tho)with the right precautions. I wrote this review just to public a fact happened to a family member.

Es gibt ja gar nicht so viele gute, ehrliche italienische Restaurants in "Italiens nördlichster Stadt". Daher habe ich mich sehr über diesen Tip gefreut und bin begeistert. Wir saßen zwar draußen, wo alles etwas lockerer zuging, aber innen sah es sehr fein aus. Die Karte ist reichhaltig, aber nicht überdimensional: Ich glaube gerne, dass die Wochenkarte jedes Mal wechselt, und die Stammgerichte eben nicht wie bei vielen anderen aus der Großküche stammen. Das Essen ist köstlich und die Preise entsprechen der Qualität der Zutaten. Wo wird schon daran gedacht, zu einem Carpaccio ein wenig Zitrone zu reichen? Die Pizzen sind hauchdünn, die Pasta so gut wie in Brescello. "Ciao" ist ein herzliches, freundliches Haus, ich habe den Abend sehr genossen und komme gerne wieder.

Ich hatte für den 01.09.2019 für eine kleine Geburtstagsfeier reserviert. Die Ankunft im Restaurant war schon ernüchternd, da der reservierte Tisch nicht einmal eingedeckt war. Das von der Karte bestellte Essen war Mittelklasse. Ein Gast musste aber eine halbe Stunde länger warten, bis er seine Lasagne bekam. Beim Bezahlen gab es trotzdem ein ordentliches Trinkgeld. Zu Hause stellte ich fest, dass der Kellner 2 Cappuccinos und eine grosse Flasche Wasser zuviel berechnet hat. ( 10,50€ ) Über die Homepage habe ich darauf hin, versucht Kontakt mit dem Eigentümer aufzunehmen. (2x keine Reaktion ) Mein Fazit. Nie wieder!!!

Es gibt hier ein günstiges Mittagessen. Die Qualität des Essens ist sehr gut. Das Preis- Leitungsverhältnis passt hier. Die Auswahl der Speisen ist auch sehr angenehm. Hier kann jeder etwas zum Essen finden.

Marco hat super Angebote, großartige Qualität und super Service. Die Pizza ist wie man sie von seinem Italiener erwartet. Die Preise passen sehr gut zur Leistung. Pizza und viele andere Gerichte können auch zum Mitnehmen / Abholen bestellt werden. Die Räumlichkeiten sind nett, im Sommer kann man auch draußen sitzen. Die Speisen sind immer eine Bestellung wert!

Wir hatten eine Tisch für 9 Personen reserviert und auch entsprechend vorher angekündigt, dass eine schnelle zügige Bewirtung für uns von Bedeutung ist. Trotzdem warteten wir über eine Stunde auf unsere Essen, die wir überwiegend von der Tageskarte ausgewählt hatten. Während 7 andere Tische die nach uns das Restaurant betraten warteten wir trotz mehrfacher Beschwerden weitere 30 Minuten. Auch geschmacklich war es kein besonders Highlight. Fazit des Tisches war: Nicht weiter zu empfehlen.

Given the reviews on this place they seem all over the map. I went, I ate, I enjoyed. Went with a big group here for lunch and it was great. The food was good and the service was fine.

I ordered a "entrecot" absolutely disgusting. They charged us 9 euro for 2 mini glasses of limonchelo. They refused to give us the complaint book. Inadmisible behaviour of the manager. Never seen sucha a prepotent guy. Worst relationship quality / Price I have ever seen in my life and awful service. I would never come back, even if it is the last restaurant on Éarth. I have rated 1, just because it is not posible to rate 0.

This has to be the worst Italian restaurant I have ever visited. The food was so bad we could not eat it, the pasta was overdone and the sauce was just horrible . Our plates went back full and the waiter didn't even ask us why, never again

Just ordered delivery from here and it was absolutely horrible. My husband got a lasagna and a tiramisu; this is like worse than freezer quality lasagna and the tiramisu was covered in whip cream that had melted on the way over (it's summer...... why would you put whip cream all over a tiramisu anyway!!!??) Totally foul and ended up in the bin. Gross.

Usually food is served fast, but quality is below average. Had lasagne twice, both times it was cold. Order got misplaced, instead of apologising, they were unfriendly and even grumbling at us. They did heat the lasagne after the complaint, but they won't be seeing me again.

We had a business lunch in this restaurant. After seating at least 10 minutes we waited for order our drinks. Another 10 minutes passed for service them. Between starters and main dishes I think 20 minutes waited! Only espresso was served in a minute... It was really busy, we spent a lot talking less eating. Dishes were ok however was not extraordinary taste. It is an opportunity in the heart of Munich, among many company offices for Italian food if you do not expect a lot.

Very good Sunday lunch, tasty pasta with spinach - they are happy to make smaller portions for the kids or split one in two, beef was excellent, so was the fish dish - a bit greasy, but still very good. Next time, we'll try the pizza, or take it away!!

Very busy place at lunchtime, so better reserve. The menu offers many items to choose from at very affordable price; food arrived fast. Quality-wise all right, not much more. The place felt a bit shabby: worn menus, stained table cloth, blunt knives... And doesn't seem to have air-conditioning, so you'll smell of food the whole afternoon long.

We've been last night there after we just checked in our hotel. We were a bit hungry and wanted to find something close to our hotel and eat. We had a laugh cause we are in Germany but eating italian food:)) Its more of a italian tavern,very nice and cozy.The moment you enter they greet you in italian. We had beef carpacio as a starter,and main course I had rissoto ai funghi and my boyfriend had salmon. We were very surprised of the prices...they are lower than what we have in Cyprus,where we live.

I have visited this place a few times with friends, family and colleagues for lunch as it was just a few minutes walk from my office. The selection of pizza and pasta dishes is quite decent and every so often they would do a special offer on selected dishes. For 10 euros, you can get an excellent pizza and a pint of beer which seemed the perfect way to spend a Friday lunchtime while anticipating the weekend. Should you wish, you can order a takeaway instead. I went there one Saturday with family and they were doing a special on pasta dishes. The penne arrabiata I had was delicious and my parents were also very impressed with the food. An ideal place for lunch if you are in the Giesing area.
