We didn't particularly enjoy our stay. The decor is nice and the service is friendly. The drink selection is poor. We didn't know what to order with our meal and opted for mineral water, which was very expensive at €8.50. The cocktails are too small for €12. The food was okay, but there weren't enough vegetables; it was basically just onions. In short: mediocre and overpriced. We won't be back.

I rarely, if ever, give 5 stars... but here it was deserved... Super delicious food.

A very nice little restaurant. Some of the seats are on a raised platform; you take your shoes off and sit there elevated. Unfortunately, I couldn't find out the exact term for this. The other tables are "normal." Food: great menu, reasonable prices, delicious food. Drinks too. Service: we were very pleased. We ordered ice with our wine, and it was automatically brought with the second glass – very thoughtful. A complete package.

Delicious food, lots of vegetarian options, the Thai iced tea is absolutely delicious, the food arrived incredibly quickly (though we were there very late, at 9 pm) and the staff was friendly. Completely satisfied.

The waiter has the strange habit of asking, "Are you finished eating?" before the meal is even finished and then clearing the table. This is completely inappropriate and significantly spoils the experience. The deduction of a star is entirely his fault.

Yes, you're in Thailand, and the food is so delicious. Anyone who has experienced this restaurant will definitely come back. It tastes good and is seasoned just right. I recommend it.

If you want Thai food please avoid this restaurant. This is the worst Thai food we've ever had anywhere in the world, including U.S. (known for serving mediocre food). This place has lovely authentic Thai ambiance but the food itself is at its lowest point. We paid for food we couldn't eat because it tasted awful and they just took the money in a blink of an eye fully understanding the food is awful. This place is the worst in terms of food and attitude.

Experience was very nice with tasty food and an amazing atmosphere. We visited for a Sunday lunch, and the setting was especially beautiful. Highly recommended for a pleasant Thai dining experience.

The ambiance is lovely, and the wait staff was very nice. The taste of the food was good, but my only issue was the Pad Thai I ordered had 4 long black hairs in it. They didn't charge me for the dish, but it killed our entire meal. No one wanted to eat anything after that and we paid over €100 for the meal. Very disappointing. We have not been able to go back.

Chookdee is an Asian restaurant whose ambiance definitely stands out from many other Asian restaurants. We really liked it, and the service was also very friendly and attentive. The appetizers included prawn crackers, wontons, and shrimp. The prawn crackers were delicious. The quantity was commensurate with the price. However, the wontons, and especially the shrimp, were small compared to the quantity (see photos). They tasted great, but too expensive for us. The main course consisted of rice noodles and glass noodles with chicken. Both priced at €20, the portions were decent (the appetizers were filling), but a bit smaller for the price. It was also tasty, but the taste didn't fully justify the rather high price for the noodles. The cocktails afterward were more expensive than in some bars, but still tasty. Overall, we were satisfied. Ultimately, I'm deducting one star for the high price compared to the service. It was delicious, but not unusual enough to regularly make me spend more than elsewhere. But you can't go wrong here either.

Restaurant ist Made for European tastes and customers. The most authentic is the environment and the service is slow.

I hadn't eaten here in a while. I've always been very satisfied with the food, which is why I'm happy to pay a bit more for authentic Thai cuisine. Unfortunately, I was completely disappointed today; I have no idea what went wrong. Was it a different chef, or just an off day? The service and atmosphere were good as usual.

We ate there for the first time and loved it. It's now on my favorite restaurant list. You should definitely reserve a table in advance.

I've been to this restaurant quite often and have always been very satisfied. But this time it will be my last visit. Here's why: The soup was spicy even though the waitress said it wasn't. I ordered dish 125 but she brought 124 and almost threw the food on the table. It also turned out it was spicy too - even though the menu didn't specify a chilli symbol for the dish. The restaurant is very expensive, so you should pay more attention to customer service. Never again – neither me nor my friends!

The ambience is beautiful. The entire room is designed in Thai style, creating a special atmosphere. There are Thai tables that are on a slightly raised level, allowing you to dangle your feet down even though you are sitting on the floor. We were served very friendly and at an absolutely reasonable pace. Our questions were also answered in a friendly and supportive manner. The food (starter platter and each main course with chicken and duck) was very tasty, plentiful and fresh. If you want good Thai food, this is definitely the right place for you.

The food is really good, but you should make a reservation. because it is always very crowded! You have the option of sitting on “normal” chairs at the tables or on the floor at flat tables. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the food, most of it was sent out, which was a shame. But again the taste was very good.

Once again a great experience in Wiesbaden. And as so often: a Thai restaurant. As it should be with Thais: wonderfully loving and attentive waitresses. Just as fantastic food, in the fresh 🍍. Sweet and sour. Awesome. And an absolutely authentic atmosphere. Exciting. I left Chokdee just as excited. And for Wiesbaden conditions, the price-quality ratio is definitely right.

Yesterday I went to Chookdee for the first time thanks to recommendations from my friends and I was really impressed! The staff is very friendly and you feel comfortable (very attentive staff). I ordered duck, one of the best Thais in Wiesbaden! Definitely coming back

Original Thai food with nice service in an original environment.

Terrible customer service and the rudest staff ever!! I tried to place a pickup order but was asked to call back in an hour because they were "too busy." When I called again (an hour later), the staff scolded me for calling as requested and then abruptly hung up. They should have just told me first if they couldn't take my order instead of making me wait over an hour and then treating me badly. I will NEVER order here again.

Absolutely shocking service! My friend called to place a pickup order and was told to call back in an hour because the restaurant was too busy. However, when they called again as instructed, the staff rudely lectured them for calling. My friend politely asked that they simply inform customers in advance if orders could not be taken. Instead of understanding, the staff raised their voices and abruptly ended the conversation. It was shocking to listen to the entire exchange

I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant, visiting several times a month, but I won't be returning. My friend called to place an order and was told to call back in an hour due to busyness. When he did, the staff rudely said they still couldn't prepare our food. He asked for straightforward communication rather than being led on, which makes me question their desire to actually serve customers. They then rudley yelled at him for conveying this and said they "shouldn't be spoken to this way", when he was very polite. They have the rudest staff!

The food tasted very good. What's not so nice is that the jackets are hanging over the chairs.

Poor quality and overpriced. The alleged tamarind sauce is a thin, tasteless sauce, definitely not tamarind sauce! Tofu is of poor quality and tastes stale. All in all, the dish tasted like convenience products (not home-cooked, out of the bag).

Wir haben früher das Restaurant geliebt und sind oft aus dem Taunus hierher gefahren! Nach langer Zeit waren wir mal wieder hier und enttäuscht! Dis Preise für Essen sind sehr gestiegen für ok Qualität. Wir haben sehr lange auf unser Essen gewartet und es war nicht ausreichend geheizt. Es gibt deutlich bessere thailändische Restaurants.

Very tasty Pad Thai with tofu and shrimp (No. 180 on the menu, I think) and the spring rolls as a starter were also tasty (they come in 3 pieces). The atmosphere is very authentic with lots of wood and decorations, there are also a few Thai tables where you can sit without shoes. Service was great, thank you! Gladly again!

Good Thai restaurant with tasty food.. However be ready to wait for sometime for your order to be delivered incase of many people in the restaurant.. Not a complaint but general info to all .. Also very difficult to get parking in the vicinity.. Had to wait for sometime to get a free parking spot .

Enttäuschend und kein Vergleich mit früher. Essen und Getränkepreise vollkommen überzogen. Ca. 30% Preiserhöhung bei gleichzeitiger Reduktion der Portionsgröße mag vielleicht kurzfristig den Profit erhöhen, aber mittelfristig viele Kunden vergrämen. Nach all den Jahren wirklich schade so ein schönes Restaurant zu verlieren.

Me being a vegetarian, accompanied with my family. I liked the ambience and hospitality . Limited options for vegetarian but for the Non vegetarian, there are variations and great range of options as they were amazing and my family loved it :)

Quaint Thai restaurant. Great decor. Very cozy place. They have western seating but also low-to-the-ground traditional Asian tables for seating. There are a couple of tables outside but smoking is allowed there. Menu is huge. Any Thai dish you can imagine it seems they have. We came looking for Pad See Ew. They had it, but didn't have fat noodles, so there is some difference between Thai food in Germany and California, it seems. I also had a limincello Spritz and it was amazingly delicious and refreshing. Makes me want to try out other drinks. Parking is non-existant, so you'll park elsewhere and walk. That's true of all places here though.

It is a beautifully authentically decorated restaurant with very friendly staff. The food was very tasty, but the prices are very high. A main course costs between 20 and 30 euros.

I recently tried a Vietnamese restaurant, but it was a disappointment. The food tasted good, but the portions were tiny and the prices were very high. To top it off, the staff was not welcoming. Not worth the visit.

Two visits within a week and unfortunately had to have negative experiences again. Two out of three meals were received incorrectly and as a result we didn't get what was ordered. The food is generally very good, but the service is totally overwhelmed with just one person. Additional staff is urgently needed to ensure guests go home satisfied. We really enjoy coming here. With a bill of 170 euros, this urgently needs to be remedied.

Für uns gab es zu viele Minuspunkte. Das Essen unserer Gruppe kam leider nicht gleichzeitig. Der Letzte bekam sein Gericht, als die Ersten bereits fast fertig waren. Die Qualität war durchwachsen. Die Curries waren zu flüssig und zu schwach im Geschmack. Das gelbe Curry schmeckte eher nach einer gelben Sahnesauce und hatte nichts thailändischens. Uns war zuviel Gemüse in den Gerichten. Pad Thai und Salate sahen gut aus. Insgesamt war es uns viel zu teuer. Currygerichte weit über 20€. Ein Glas Wasser oder Saftdrink 0.2l für für 3,50€ ist ein absolutes k.o.-Kriterium.

We ordered Lab Ped, Pad Thai and Red Curry with Duck. Lab Ped: was well cut and the amount of herbs was right. Would have been perfect but unfortunately it was too salty and mixed with too much lemon juice. Pad Thai was quite tasty. Shrimp well cooked and everything well seasoned. Red curry with duck: duck tender and well cooked. Sauce tasty but also too salty. Service was slow and not that friendly. For the price I wouldn't go there again. There are better options for these prices

The food was okay, but grossly overpriced... Examples: -7 euros for 3 frozen spring rolls -8 euros for a very small bowl of soup -20 euros for some beef with vegetables and rice (it didn't fill me up and I'm not a good eater) The ambience is tasteful, but that doesn't really matter to me personally. The service seemed rather cold and not particularly welcoming... we waited 20 minutes before we could order and that was only because we drew attention to ourselves. All in all, there are significantly better alternatives in Wiesbaden. Update: Gastrointestinal complaints 2 hours after visiting several people... we've never had that before either

Food portions are small . For how much they charge, I will say you are eating for atmosphere more than food itself. The flavor was ok to compare to other Thai restaurants. Not bad, but I will go other one next time .

Reserved a table for Sunday evening at short notice. Since I wasn't very hungry, I only ordered a soup and my husband ordered a main course. When I ordered, the waitress pointed out to me that the soup was very small, but she could make it a little bigger, so I ordered it that way. A still quite small bowl of the soup arrived. The taste was very tasty, but unfortunately there were a lot of inedible pieces in it that I couldn't identify and I had to spit them all out and put them on the edge of the plate. This was very unpleasant as it was very hard and fibrous. The shock came with the bill. Making the supper a little bigger cost exactly twice as much. We both found it audacious to charge 18 euros for a few spoonfuls of soup. I asked the gentleman who collected the money that the manager had offered me a slightly larger soup and it would now cost twice as much. He said she didn't know very well, that she had little idea. There would only be a small portion or a large one that would then cost twice as much. I then said that it was bad when someone took orders but had little idea. This was followed by a brief apology and again the information that there was only small or large soup and that was it. My husband's food also tasted good and the portion was also sufficient. However, we will not visit this restaurant again. A pity.

mein erster Besuch in diesem Restaurant war schon geschmacklich gesehen eher enttäuschend. Nach langer Zeit bin ich noch mal dorthin und wollte es noch mal versuchen, wurde aber wieder enttäuscht. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt einfach nicht aus meiner Sicht. Das Essen schmeckt okay aber es weit weg von sehr gut. Das ist zumindest meine persönliche Meinung. Was ich auch sehr bemängeln muss, ist der Service. Als wir ankamen war selbst als die Vorspeise kam unser Tisch nicht eingedeckt. D.h. weder Servietten noch Besteck lag auf dem Tisch. ich hatte eine Flasche Wasser mit Sprudel bestellt, bekam aber ein Wasser ohne Sprudel, was mir der Kellner auch gleich einschenke. Als ich die Kellnerin darauf hin, dass ich mit Gas bestellt hatte, kam die Bemerkung, ich solle das nächste Mal das von Anfang an sagen. Das fand nicht sehr unfreundlich.

Essen ist hervorragend, das Ambiente sehr angenehm. Es gibt im vorderen Bereich 4 sogenannte Thai-Tische. Die sind niedrig und stehen über einer Vertiefung. Man sitzt auf weichen Polstern und lässt die Beine unter dem Tisch baumeln. (In Thailand gibt es solche Vertiefungen nicht, jedoch sind wir in Europa das Knien oder Sitzen im Schneidersitz nicht gewohnt, da schlafen die Beine ein.) Um in diesem Restaurant-Teil zu essen, müssen die Schuhe ausgezogen werden.

Nette Bedienung, gutes, thailändisches Essen. Die Inneneinrichtung hat einen wunderschönen Flair und ist sehr detailliert. Eine Atmosphäre wie ich sie noch nie hatte. Kann ich nur empfehlen 👍

Excellent ambiance and authentic tasting food. The waitress was incredibly unfriendly and rude. However, the bartender was nice and accommodating. All the meals and drinks are overpriced A single person would typically pay about 40 euros for dinner. Would not recommend.

Einer der top Thais im Rhein-Main-Gebiet. Nicht ganz günstig (im Schnitt alles 5€ teurer), aber die Qualität ist überragend. Man merkt es beim Fleisch, den extrem gut ausbalancierten Saucen und selbst dem Standard gebratenem Reis. Drinnen sehr schön, authentisch, alles mit Holz verziert. Draußen sind leider nur sehr wenige Tische. Aber den Laden muss man einbauen, wenn man auf Thaiküche steht.

Ich gehe seit über 30 Jahren ins Chookdee. Trotz Inhaberwechsel im Laufe der Zeit ist und bleibt es mein liebstes Thai-Restaurant. Das Essen ist immer frisch und sehr lecker, das Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Ganze in einem schönen und sehr sauberem Ambiente. Wir fühlen uns dort immer rundum wohl.

Seit Jahren unser Lieblingsthai und immer noch der beste und authentischste Thai den wir kennen. Leider hat das Chokdee die Preise so dermaßen erhöht, dass wir geschockt waren. Das auch die Gastronomie die Teuerung spürt und natürlich irgendwo die Preise anpassen muss ist nachvollziehbar. Hier hat das chokdee leider mehr als übertrieben. Gerichte um 20-30 % zu erhöhen ist schon dreist. Somit verabschieden wir uns nach 15 Jahren als Stammgäste. Schade, ist zu inakzeptabel

Ich besuche dieses Restaurant seit der Eröffnung und habe dort viele Geburtstage und Weihnachtsfeiern gefeiert. Das Essen ist köstlich, das Ambiente wirklich schön und gemütlich, aber dieses Mal war ich schockiert über die nochmals erhöhten Preise: 20€ für mein Lieblingsgericht, Hühnchen mit grünen Bohnen und Knoblauch, das ist eindeutig überteuert. Schade, dass wir deshalb nicht mehr so regelmässig dort essen werden wie bisher.

Best Thai in the region! Used to live in Wiesbaden when first tried this place in 2011. Since then visiting every time I have the chance. Last time with friends and colleagues. Fantastic fresh flavors, the home made chili sauces are so delicious! I love the duck! Crispy crust, tender meat, flavors are to fall in love with. My wife loves this place as well. 100% recommended!! Drink a Singha beer while visiting ;-)

Accueil tres sympathique. Personnel ok mais pas aussi souriant qu'en Thaïlande. Sinon vraiment Superbe, nous avons passé une excellente soirée. Nous nous sommes régalés. Les plats sont excellents, et si on veut prendre un avant goût de la Thaïlande, alors allez manger là-bas. Les plats copie conforme de là-bas. La déco est très chouette. La pinacolada, un pur bonheur. Un petit conseil : réservez avant.
