The two of us were here yesterday and had dumplings, cucumber salad, eggplant, and water spinach. Everything was delicious, fresh, and delicate! Highly recommended.

The food was very delicious, the service was super friendly and the atmosphere is unbeatable!

It is among the places we love to go as a family. Some of the food is very delicious. Eggplant +reis, pak choi +tofu. We go and eat this menu once a month.

Oil and... meat sausage?! If a dish contains different types of meat according to the menu and then when I unpack it there are strips of meat sausage floating around in oil and nothing more and I paid 17 euros for it, I feel ripped off by the restaurant where I have been ordering for years. not again.

In fact, you are greeted by a thoroughly Chinese atmosphere, with the - apparently - Chinese boss and the wait staff showing cheerful warmth. We were served pretty quickly. Good homemade sour hot soup (4 out of 5). A main course with prawns, served still sizzling on a hot plate (3.5 out of 5 because it unfortunately had very little seasoning). And the second main course, fresh grilled duck with legs - a dream! Fresh, the meat tenderly grilled, the skin crispy brown, the taste not so strong - our best Chinese duck so far (6 out of 5). The service was quick, attentive, polite and pleasant. But deductions for the boss and waitress who initially constantly walked idly up and down with the loud, creaking, sticky shoe soles (a bit annoying to have that in the back) and the waitress with the heavy, strong-smelling perfume that puffed up my nose every time and interrupted the taste experience. But that is certain.

They serve authentic Chinese food that may not be to everyone's taste. But meat eaters and China lovers will be happy here! The ambience is getting old, the toilets remind me of my elementary school days. The staff is friendly, the food is sumptuous. Few offers for vegetarians as a main course

If you're looking for authentic Shanghai cuisine in Hamburg, Shanghai House is a must-visit. The owner came from Shanghai and she has a unique insight of Chinese food. The atmosphere is warm and of antique beauty, and the service is excellent. Dishes like the crispy duck and shanghai-style noodles are flavorful and perfectly prepared. The menu offers a true taste of Shanghai, with a great balance of savory and sweet. The staff is friendly and happy to recommend dishes. A fantastic spot for anyone craving delicious and authentic Chinese food! Me and my friend had a wonderful time and will surely visit again next time we come to Hamburg.

We were in the restaurant today and had Shanghai and Canton duck and the duck was really excellent! Crispy and not a bit too greasy or mushy. The service was very friendly and polite. The atmosphere was also very traditional, just as you would expect and imagine in a Chinese restaurant. Update: Experienced the new management today. We ordered Peking duck for 4 people, but there were only two of us. It was very tasty and authentic, the service is even better than before and the price-performance ratio is also right. We'll be back ♥️

Clear recommendation! I always enjoy coming to this Chinese restaurant. The food tastes great. The portions are quite large. The prices are fair and the service is very friendly and quick. Here you can still get duck dishes where the breading doesn't predominate. Not a hipster store. I also find that very pleasant. The price-performance ratio is still right here.

Really great food! Very authentic and finally a good Chinese restaurant in the east of the city, you don't always have to go to Kantstr. The toilets urgently need to be renovated, so 2 points are deducted for the ambience

I think overall this is an absolute gem of a restaurant. I was slightly overwhelmed whilst looking at the restaurant from the outside, but following a friendly greeting from the host I felt right at home. The food was brilliant, lots of flavour and high in quantity! I had Tofu and vegetables in a black bean sauce with egg fried rice which slapped. Cost €20. My friend got a much better deal, for 1/2 of a duck for €13.40 which came with salad and a huge portion of rice. This was far the superior deal. After looking at a few more reviews, it is clear to see the quality of this restaurant. We didn’t wait long for a table, nor did we wait long to have our food delivered. Staff very friendly and hospitable. Highly recommend!

We love getting food here! Either "delivered" or "in the restaurant" The food is very tasty - if they say "spicy" they mean it, not like other restaurant that claim its spicy and then you will not notice anything. Here they actually give you "spicy" if you want it :D They make very nice comfort food. <3 Either you take a seat in the restaurant and enjoy the food & ambiente OR you can take food to go OR let it be delivered to you. Bonus recommendation: If you want something fancy for yourself and some friends / family: The Peking Duck meal course is awesome! (You will need at least 4 persons)

Me and my family recently had dinner at Shanghai Restaurant. And I have to say, the half Peking duck surprised me very positively. Because it was very inexpensive and also very tasty. The portions are definitely very generous. The staff is very friendly and responds to special requests. Can only recommend this restaurant.

Amazing duck and cantonese specialities!

Great food, we came here 3 times! i highly recommend the duck! We also had gong bao ji ding, 3 types of dumplings and dandan mian. All great, dandanmian slightly different from what i’m used to but still excellent.

A very good choice to taste authentic Chinese dishes. The pork ear salad is highly recommended, as is half the crispy duck. The duck is served with a delicious sauce that has a very intense roast flavor. The vegetables (water spinach and bok choy) were beautifully prepared, so the fresh flavor made them a great side dish. The service was very friendly and we felt very comfortable in the restaurant. This review would like to give anyone who is considering whether they should plan a visit here a reason to do so.

Ich kann die mittelmäßigen Bewertungen absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Es gibt authentische chinesische Gerichte und diese auch noch in hervorragender Qualität und sehr geschmackssicher. Es ein Feuerwerk an Umami und man möchte gar nicht aufhören zu essen. Aber leider ist jeder einmal satt. Dann also gern beim nächsten Mal. Übrigens als Tipp: Die gegrillte 1/2 Ente mit Gemüse, der Scheeineohrensalat und dazu der Wasserspinat. Reicht locker für 2 hungrige Esser und ist nicht zu überbieten. Weiter so! Surprisingly good! Tender duck breast in a fine and crispy breading, fresh dumplings, very good vegan soba noodle soup with authentic broth and all at very reasonable prices. Very courteous service & delicious teas. My first, cliched impression from outside the restaurant was not confirmed! I'd love to come back!

The filling of the dumplings was served cold and only after we asked were they reheated. The noodles in the soup were stuck together. We have come here many times, but this time we didn't like it at all.

I recently had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was delicious the atmosphere very relaxing. What made the experience even better was the exceptional service. The waiters were very attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. We were there with two babies, and without us even asking, they promptly brought baby chairs, which made things so much easier for us. Our favorite Chinese place on the corner. Super inconspicuous from the outside and surprisingly always very intimate, so here's a loud recommendation if you want to eat authentic, fresh Chinese cuisine. The ambience is appropriate for the vibe and if you come in a larger group, you can sit at a round rotating table, which is great for sharing dishes and offers a lot of added value when eating together. We like it there. 🫶

Once again for Chinese, unfortunately the service was very poor, service in normal street clothes, table rechauds are no longer used, so food on the plates doesn't stay hot for long, still water €3.50?? in a glass of 0.4l and not in the usual bottle service, food but ok in terms of price and taste, billing was done on a cell phone and was then printed out upon request

Since the change of ownership... Absolutely no longer recommended. Large spring roll was so greasy and couldn't even be cut, it was so hard. Complained! The M15 with tofu was tasteless and the tofu looked and tasted like it had been baked several times. The gongbao was always our favorite meal. Also no longer recommended. The jasmine tea absolutely sucks, water with a bit of color, bagged tea. We won't be coming back...

Very authentic food. It's not a hipster place like usual, but rather run by a nice couple. I find the dumplings comparatively cheaper than at the hipster restaurants and very tasty. The noodle soup was also really tasty. I think the noodles were handmade. You can eat here like you would at home because everything is shared.

I had beef farmer style for almost 20 euros. A deep plate was served with plenty of watery, spicy, chili-colored liquid, supposedly sauce, in which pieces of beef and cabbage were floating. There was also rice. My complaint was responded to negatively. In my opinion, poor price-performance ratio. If you want to eat Chinese in Berlin, there are better alternatives.

Ich hatte Rindfleisch Bauernart für fast 20 Euro. Serviert wurde ein tiefer Teller mit reichlich wässriger, scharfer, chiligefärbter Flüssigkeit, angeblich Sauce, in der Rindfleisch- und Kohlstücke schwammen. Dazu gab es Reis. Auf meine Beschwerde wurde abweisend reagiert. Aus meiner Sicht schlechtes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Wenn man chinesisch in Berlin essen will, gibt es bessere Alternativen.

Hair in the food & very long waiting time + unfriendly service. Never again!

My second visit. The first visit was good but everything took longer and I thought it was a bit of a shame at the time. This time there weren't as many customers and everything came at just the right time! The employees are nice too. All dishes tasted good, especially the pork dish (nice and soft) and we just had a great time!

It's a nice restaurant, well maintained and run with love. The restaurant has a lot of visitors, especially from 6 p.m. to...The food we had was tasty and the portions were generous. We had a nice evening.

What is that ? The sauce tastes , smells and looks already like a weird chemical mix of I don’t know what with 3 little pieces of pineapple and that’s all , the fish was cooked in 20 L of oil and the soup no comment, I’m really disappointed knowing that I ordered already here before an eggplant dish which was quite good, for me I was robbed this time and the food goes straight to the trash 🗑️ sorry

Fine food, decelerating environment

Lots of authentic Chinese food. If you want to try real Chinese food, this is the right place!

Today was my first time eating there, my wife has eaten there several times and she has always raved about how good it tastes there and how friendly everyone there is, I can only confirm this, the food is extreme, everything is freshly cooked and the prices are unbeatable. The green tea was a highlight for me alongside the beautiful pictures there.

The food and service were equally amazing! We ordered the stewed pork with steamed buns (this was to die for), a cold chicken dish, dumpling soup and the cucumber in garlic sauce. The rice was bottomless! Will definitely go back again to try out other dishes.

Çin mutfağını bilmeyen biri için önermem. Servis personeli pek ilgili değil, üstelik davranışları kaba saba. Denediğimiz yiyecekler pek damak tadımıza uymadı, aslında uyabilecek şeylerdi ama kızartılmış ürünler aşırı yağlı ve kuruydu. İçeride Uzak Doğulu müşteriler de olduğuna göre herhalde kötü bir restoran olmasa gerek ama Çin mutfağına yabancı olan benim gibi birine önermem.

Von außen eher unscheinbar, von innen aber wirklich ein Schatz. Sehr leckeres Essen, sympathisches Personal. Die Dim Sum scheinen handgemacht zu sein und waren mein persönliches Highlight. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Ich mag es sehr. Ein sehr guter Chinese. Wenn ich die Zeit habe gehe ich ein bis zwei Mal im Monat hin. Preise sind auch gut. Habe heute für zwei Bier, einen Saft und zwei Hauptgerichte (shasha Huhn und sautierter tofu 42 Euro bezahlt.

Das Essen ist sicher noch so gute wie vor ein paar Jahren, aber zum Beispiel bei LIEFERANDO (wo das Restaurant auch vertreten ist) sind die Preise SEHR sehr teuer (vor allem Gebratener reis und Gebr. Nudeln) -- Leider. Das war früher mit den Preisen viel besser. Bei anderen Restaurants bekomme ich das gleiche Essen aktuell für nur den halben Preis. -- Schade - Bestellung lohnt sich also über Lieferando garnicht !

Hab gebratene Nudeln gegessen und war zufrieden. Sehr guter Service, freundlich und flink. Gehe ich wieder hin.

Wir hatten angerufen, da wurde uns gesagt, man könne nur über lieferando bestellen und liefern oder selbst abholen. Leider ist die Karte bei Lieferando sehr reduziert, aber das Essen war absolut großartig und auch sehr schnell da. Das nächste Mal gehen wir wohl persönlich hin!

I walked past this restaurant for years until a friend of mine, who lived in the Far-East, highly recommended this place. The traditional Chinese dishes where delicious. The perfectly sticky rice was served in an elegant bamboo steamer, the atmosphere was very relaxing and the service super friendly. The portions were so generous that we had to take the rest of our plates home!! We will definitely go back and try more of the dishes on the menu.

War okay. Die haben aufgehört uns Garnele zu mache aber selber haben die Mitarbeiter Garnelen gegessen.

We have been to this restaurant several times before, like ten times over a period of ten years. We never had any complaints. This time new owner? We experienced high prices and lousy service. For us it's goodbye Shanghai.

Man kann hier essen aber es ist kein Highlight. Die Leistung hat sehr nachgelassen. Das Essen kommt nicht mehr auf den heißen Platten und ist daher schnell kalt.

Enttäuschung… Nicht mal Reis konnten sie gut kochen 🫠

Meine Familie und ich gehen da öfter mal essen. Am Sonntag waren meine Mutter meine Frau und ich dort zu meinem Geburtstagsessen. Haben alle 3 die Ente mit gebratenen Nudeln statt Reis genommen und es war sehr lecker. War ein rundum gelungener Abend.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und für mich große Portionen. Soße war getrennt und konnte extra dazu gegeben werden nach Bedarf. Ambiente war angenehm und nicht zu viel. Personal war zuvorkommend und sehr höflich, zusätzlich sehr geduldig. Komme gerne wieder, da das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut war.
