Ich kenne das Restaurant seit vielen Jahren. Aus Zeitgründen nehme ich dort selten das Abendessen, häufig jedoch das MIttagessen ein. Die Mittagsmenüs sind sehr schmackhaft, reichlich und preiswert. Passende Frühlingsrolle oder Suppe ist - wie üblich - enthalten. Die Speisekarte ist in Deutsch, Englisch und Chinesisch gehalten. In der riesigen Auswahl wird wohl jeder auch a la carte das Gewünschte finden. Das Bedienungspersonal ist schnell, umsichtig und äußerst freundlich. Dies auch dann, wenn - wie so häufig - das Restaurant ausgebucht ist. Nicht zuletzt soll die gemütliche Einrichtung im chinesischen Stil erwähnt werden. Ebenso gefällt der Ausblick (vom 1. Stock) auf das städtische Treiben am Stachus, wenn man einen Platz an einem der großen Fenster erhalten hat.

The squirrel fish, lion's head, stir-fried vegetables with garlic paste, and pot stickers are all delicious. It is considered a high-level Chinese dish in Germany.

Authentic Chinese food, the restaurant is very clean and spacious. The service we had was top notch, the lady refilled the tea pot several times and offered us to stay for a moment to rest after finishing all food. They offer a wide range of food, pages of menu many to choose from, menu comes in English and Chinese as well.

We tried this restaurant on May 26 after our day trip to the country side. The food quality and services are better than expected. The fish and tofu were fresh and yummy. Will be back again!

We had dinner in this restaurant. I am surprised to find such a nice Chinese restaurant in Munich. The food is tasty , the service is prompt and the waitress is very friendly. The restaurant is cosy and comfortable. We ordered a sweet and sour crispy fish and a vegetable dish with a desert to share . I wish we have found this restaurant sooner so we can visit a few more times before leaving Munich. We will definitely visit again when we come to Munich next time. Highly recommend this restaurant !

It’s one of the best Chinese restaurants in Munich. The staff are so nice . The foods are tasty with reasonable prices. The location is good not really far from Karlsplatz. If I go to Munich again, I’ll go to China-Restaurant Shanghai again.

We spontaneously went to the restaurant on a Tuesday evening. The service is great, friendly and fast. The food was very good - including advice on questions about the various recipes. We'll definitely come back here!

Tasty food but really stingy small portions. For 8 euros I would’ve expected a large plate of rice not a small dish which was pretty much a side. Lack of generosity lets this place down.

I can only confirm the not so good reviews. I've known this place for almost 50 years. It is definitely not recommended.

Unfortunately, the service was very unmotivated and the food from the lunch menu wasn't special, but it wasn't exactly bad either, somehow boring. The furnishings are probably from the 70s. Overall it would be okay for a snack. The view of the Stachus was the only highlight.

We were here with the Schlemmerblock and will definitely come back! The duck was crispy, the vegetables were fresh and crunchy and the waitress was super nice and funny!

After reading the reviews, I didn't have any unreasonable expectations. As a result: very pleasant and prompt service, waiting time for hot food - no more than 15 minutes, appetizers were brought in the first 5 minutes. We were there on a Friday at lunchtime, not too many people. The food was very tasty (we ordered fish and beef), the portions of the hot dishes were large (it was a lot for one person). Payment by card is possible! Of the minus points I can only mention the shabby furnishings and the toilets.

The smell of oil smoke is not strong The Dongpo pork is delicious and the roast duck is also very tender. This is the best Chinese food I have eaten during my trip to Europe👍

Very tasty food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff :) The menu was a bit confusing at first, but the staff explained how it works. Lovely atmosphere but one thing I would recommend is playing music in the restaurant, would make it even better!

A typical Chinese restaurant, very good quality food, very good service and they help you with the menu. We were going to order more and the very kind lady recommended that less would be better because it would be a lot of food. I recommend their Peking Duck, everything was delicious.

We had noodles and rice and it was so tasteless, we left it almost untouched, and left everything as it came. The waitress there was so rude and arrogant. We had to wait so long for every intecation with any of the waiters.

We were there to test it out. The atmosphere is quite nice, as is the staff. Somewhat few staff with many guests, which led to waiting times and mix-ups. Otherwise, the food itself is okay, but that's exactly what you get from everything else. The price reflected that. We ate sumptuously for three people and paid €50 together.

Typical Chinese restaurant with delicious food from the 80s to 90s. Sure, MSG is in everything and the food is microwaved hot. They also have traditional dishes on the menu. If you want, you can eat delicious pork ears here. The staff is quick, attentive and very friendly. I particularly liked the efficient setting up and clearing of the tables with a catering cart. Even small quantities of drinks are brought here quickly and safely using the serving trolley. Great ambience with a view of Munich's Sonnenstrasse. There is always something going on here!

The waiter lady was the worst. He lowered his plate while eating and was unfriendly. My fun trip to Munich turned into a disaster. Even when paying the bill, he had the worst attitude until the end. It was so bad that I didn't want to give it even one star. This is a store that I would definitely not recommend.

Mittlerweile nicht mehr zu empfehlen und verdienen null Sterne! Ich war definitiv das letzte Mal in diesem Lokal, obwohl ich seit vielen Jahren immer bei meinen München-Trips hier gegessen habe. Die Mahlzeiten waren die letzten Male nur noch lauwarm und heute sogar kalt. Der Kellner sehr unhöflich, als ich bat, das Gericht zu wärmen. Dass das Gemüse fast gänzlich fehlte, monierte ich nicht mal. Die Qualität hat im Gesamten massiv nachgelassen.

Benehmen sie sich wie ein vernünftiger Mensch , und verderben Sie bitte nicht die Laune der Nachbartische. Bleiben Sie zuhause! Es ist peinlich, so ein Verhalten im Restaurant und unter Leuten.

Für 4 Personen werden zwei unpolierte Bestecksets auf den Tisch geworfen. Die erste Person war mit essen fertig, als das letzte Essen kam. Beim Hühnchen süßsauer waren drei Stück Paprika und zwei Stück Ananas sichtbar und das Hähnchen Pappartik frittiert. Die gebratenen Nudeln mit Rind waren sichtbar schwarz angebrannt, gebratener Reis mit Garnelen waren nur fertig, Gemüse zählbar. Schlechtestes Chinesisches Restaurant das ich je besucht habe. Keine Empfehlung.

We stumbled across this place. We hesitated at going upstairs but decided to be adventurous and were glad we did. The place reminds me of the Chinese restaurants we used to eat at with my grandparents in Chicago's Chinatown. We were warmly greeted and sat quickly. I explained my shellfish allergy to the waiter who saved me. Twice, actually. They he gave me other suggestions. We had some dumplings, spring rolls, egg flower soup, and the duck fried rice. Personally, I didn't care for the soup, it was clearly untouched, and I was really surprised when I wasn't charged for it. That small act really impressed me. All the other food we ordered was wonderful. I don't know how we will ever beat that on out trip (and we just got here yesterday!). Thanks to everyone who made our evening so lovely!

Essen war leider fast kalt und kam auch nicht für alle auf einmal. Geschmacklich kein Highlight.

Leider war der Besuch dieses Restaurants kein besonders tolles Erlebnis. Die Bedienung(Nr7)schien sehr verwirrt und war zudem sehr unfreundlich und unmotiviert. Das schlimmste fanden wir,dass wir uns sehr unwillkommen gefühlt haben.Sie hat unsere Essensbestellung durcheinander gebracht. Weiter haben zwei Personen das Essen erst bekommen nachdem alle anderen schon mit dem essen fertig waren. Wir mussten mehrmals nachfragen.Mein essen war eiskalt. Warm hätte es vielleicht gut geschmeckt. Und warum wird mit dem Servierwagen durch das Restaurant gefahren um dreckiges Geschirr einzusammeln!?Ich kann von diesem Restaurant nur abraten.

Das Restaurant ist typisch chinesisch eingerichtet. Es gibt tische an einer glasfront, mit blick auf die Straße beim Stachus. Sie werben damit, dass ihr Essen traditionell chinesisch hergestellt wird. Ich kann das wenig beurteilen, aber es hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Außer die tagessuppe.. Die schmeckte nach scharfen Wasser. Die 3 glas Nudeln und 4 dünne Streifen von einem grünen kraut am Boden der Schüssel, haben es nicht wirklich besser gemacht. Die Portionen sind absolut ausreichend. Das Personal ist ein wenig langsam, aber zurück haltend freundlich. Was mir gut gefallen hat, war, dass sie uns an einen ruhigen platz geführt haben. Sie achten gut darauf dass, wenn möglich, so viel platz zwischen den Gästen ist, wie möglich. Da ich beim bewerten auch etwas auf die Hygiene schaue, sind mir die voll verstaubten und mit spinnweben vernetzte kühl-heizsystem im Restaurant aufgefallen. Ebenfalls waren die Beine der Tische dick mit staub bedeckt... Die Lüftung im klo war nicht besser. Die Toilette hat schon bessere Tage gesehen, war aber außer der Lüftung ausreichend sauber.

I tried this Chinese restaurant for my birthday and what a surprise. It's a very traditional Shanghai style cooking and the taste of the food is lovely. I would revisit this place again in the next few days while in Munich. Highly recommended especially the Chinese vegetable dishes.

Meine Frau und ich haben hier schon öfter gegessen. Gestern war es miserabel. Gebackene Ente ok über einer ekligen schleimig braunen Sauce ohne jegliches Gemüse etc. Bezahlen war mit Karte nicht möglich, weil der Service angeblich 2 Tische zusammen eingebucht hatte. Warum eigentlich nur bar ? Es waren gerade mal 5 Tische besetzt - Letztlich wurden wir genötigt bar zu zahlen, Quittungsbeleg gab's unter diesen Umständen auch keinen. Ein Schelm ist wer sich Böses dabei denkt. Fürs erste nicht wieder !

Für uns definitiv eines der besten chinesischen Restaurants in München - wir waren heute Mittag wieder da und hatten eine tolle Frühlingsrolle, eine traumhafte sauer scharfe Suppe und Rindfleisch mit gemischten Gemüse. Das Gemüse war super frisch und alles war wunderbar abgeschmeckt. Das Lokal hat ein unschlagbares Ambiente und die Mitarbeiter sind alle super freundlich und nett. Bis zum nächsten Mal! :-)

Die Bedienung war nicht besonders aufmerksam, man musste immer wieder nachfragen und um Sachen bitten. Das Geschirr wurde mit einem Kantinen Rollwagen serviert und abgeräumt, so etwas habe ich im Restaurant noch nie erlebt. Das Essen war schlecht. Die Soße schmeckte künstlich. Ich habe nur 1/3 gegessen und auch nur, weil ich großen Hunger hatte. Das Essen war sehr günstig, aber ich zahle lieber ein paar Euro mehr und habe ein gut gekochtes Essen vor mir. Ich kann dieses Restaurant gar nicht empfehlen. Ich hatte den ganzen Tag Magenprobleme. Ich kann überhaupt nicht verstehen, warum heutzutage noch Geschmacksverstärker benutzt werden. Dies war reichlich im Essen.

Die neue Speisekarte verwirrt anfänglich. Die Qualität der Speisen ist nach wie vor gut. Mapu-Tofu ist klasse !!!

Juste en face du tram. Très beau et surtout très propre. Service à la hauteur. Parle anglais. Menu 33 euros pour 2 bien. Plats savoureux et copieux, riz correctement cuit. Ambiance feutrée. Bières locales.... Mais aussi du vin...

Decent chinese food in Munich, although service can be much better. We dined here for 2 different nights. First time round, we were shocked by the attitude of the waiter (only one person serving). Appeared rude as we arrived at 7:45PM, just 15min before closing. We ordered fried rice, fried noodles, and sone veg dishes. The mapo tofu was a standout. Decor is dated.. feels like 1980s (time seemed to be frozen in that era). We went back the second time, as this restaurant is near our hotel at City Aparthotel. We ordered the duck this time round.. it was really good. All other dishes not exceptional.. but not low standard either.

We went to this restaurant on Sunday 20 September at 8.55pm, only to be told that it was closed. This was despite a number of customers still dining at their tables. Clearly they didn’t want our business! All in all a very poor experience.

We ate here one night after previously eating next door. There weren't many people in when we arrived and the restaurant is situated on the first floor opposite the kebab shop I spoke about in an earlier review. Mum had Won Ton Soup and Chicken Satay. Little one had seafood platter and a beef curry and I had a chicken curry. When the mains came over we also had a large bowl of rice to share. The food was ok but my curry was bland. The little ones was spicy as was the satay. I had a few beers and they had some soft drinks. I must say that the restaurant was very clean and tidy and the waiter was extremely helpful. Im sure there are other chinese restaurants in the city serving better food, but we weren't looking for anything special so it was ok for us. Give it a try if you're not looking to have your palate blown away and you just want a nice plate of food.

We visited this restaurants ten years ago - it was a better place to have a dinner. Now it is quite, but the food is less tasty, especially the chicken.

The food were terrible, no service at all. Thats why we didnt want to give the tip. The waiter got angry and told us about the tip. This is the place you should stay far away.

We had low expectations after reading some of the comments and being Chinese and away from home, we just wanted simple Chinese food. But we were pleasantly surprised that all that we read negative did not happen to us. We had 4 dishes - Fried Rice, vegetables, claypot tofu and stewed pork. And while I won’t say it’s the best Chinese food I have eaten being from Asia, I would still say it’s good. Service was also fair and quick, waiters know what they were doing. I would come back again if I’m in Munich.

I ordered the eggplant and asked for tofu instead of pork, which they were happy to do. Was spicy and perfect. A lovely clean and elegant restaurant. I will come back for sure!

I came here as it was close to hotel, and didn’t read reviews beforehand unfortunately. This must be one of the worse places I’ve ever had a meal. The waiter was dis-interested and was very unhelpful. No WiFi in the restaurant which I found amazing for a place in the middle of the city. The menu looked average and nothing jumped out apart from the high prices. I ordered a chicken dish with vegetables and some noodles. The chicken looked cheap and wafer-like and undercooked, served with over cooked vegetables in a tasteless sauce. I started eating it and feared the repercussions of eating the chicken and told the waiter he could have it back as it was horrible. The noodles were slightly better but it tasted like it was microwaved. I asked for the bill and they hadn’t deducted the food sent back. So I challenged it, he went off and came back moaning but he had taken the chicken dish off. When I asked for the card machine he walked up even grumpier and then asked for a tip. I said sorry no tip as food and service was awful. He then told me I was forbidden to return. I said that’s fine as I wasn’t planning coming again! In summary, it’s an overpriced and underwhelming restaurant serving poor food by poor staff with bad attitude. The only positive thing to come from it is that I know I’ll never go back! Avoid at all costs!

We were here on 25th December. Not many options on a day during Christmas and after running the streets for 45 minutes we gave in and made our way inside. Tacky chinese restaurant decor but it was clean. We ordered: Shrimps with peanuts, vegetables-a bit spicy Crispy ducky Pork in a garlic, morels in a hot sweet sauce Basically all of the dishes were tasteless. The duck seemed dry and overfried. The sauces on the other two dishes were more or less the same and I am still wandering what I was eating. The waiter seemed to be hating his job. Hardly spoke any words. When he walked through the restaurant he hardly lifted his feed, was also talking loudly through the entire restaurant with his colleague(or boss) and whistling loudly as soon as he left the dining area. All in all a tastless and pricey meal. Dont do my mistake and go for it before reading the bad reviews, those are usually the more honest ones. Btw, I used to work in China in the hotel business and I know what Chinese food should taste like!
