Kam Lung Restaurant in München

I think this is the only place in Munich that has the taste of kuaibaorou that I had in Korea!! The kuaibaorou and the beef dish (I don't know the name) were really delicious, but the beef dish had a lot of pepper flavor. However, the hollow vegetables weren't very tasty (not recommended). The interior is really pretty and the staff are friendly, so I'll go again next time! But please, can you serve lunch until 3pm? I live far away, but I always rush here 😂 Please sell a lot💓

Great and genuine family run restaurant. I live around the corner and maybe I am a bit biased, but this is my favourite restaurant in Munich. I usually get Harkau, and the curry Tasche to start with, and then the Cantonese Style Rice and the Beef with green Beans and Pepper, which comes on a sizzling slate plate. The interiors are not as flashy as the instagram places that are blooming in Munich, but the food is amazing :)

I was there again yesterday and was disappointed not to get the usual quality. The crispy duck wasn't crispy, and there were four that were just breadcrumbs. The spicy dumplings tasted good, but I had a strange stomach the next day. I hope that was an exception, because the food is actually good, especially the Peking duck. The seating is comfortable, and it's easy to have a conversation because there's no loud music.

Very traditional and authentic, REAL Chinese food! The ambiance and decor are super nice! The service is excellent and very friendly. The food is indescribably delicious and authentic. Not European "Chinese food"—just the way it should be. I'm thrilled and will happily come back weekly from now on.

We love it! I don't understand why this place has a 4.1 rating... because for us, it's a solid 5.0!!! Super charming service that also offers good advice and is there when you need them, the food is amazing, and the decor is like a little trip to China. The food was very good, setting it apart from other Chinese restaurants. The prices are also very fair. Typical Chinese decor.

Beef, pork, chicken, fish.... Anything you order, you get really good authentic dishes with rich and deep flavour. Especially their Mapo tofu is outstanding, making it to my Top 3 among all the Mapo tofu I tried at hundreds of Chinese restaurants in Japan, US, Germany and some other countries. Their's is normally too spicy for me, so I always asked for Mittel scharf.

Kam Lung is undoubtedly an address to remember! The staff is always very friendly and the food is excellent. Authentic Chinese cuisine in Munich, in an extraordinary and atmospheric ambience.

Rice hard and not good, meat like pickled (wobbly), vegetables had the texture of gummy bears and the sauce was almost entirely fatty. The food came quickly.

This Chinese restaurant offers an extensive menu with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. We sampled several dishes, and most were very flavorful. The clay pot chicken was melt-in-your-mouth tender with a rich, earthy sauce that was perfectly balanced. The beef served on a sizzling iron plate was equally tender, with a delightful kick of black pepper that added just the right amount of heat. The mapo tofu was excellent, featuring silken tofu that held its shape, a good level of spice from the chilies, and a satisfying meatiness from the minced meat. The only slight letdown was the fried aubergines - the sauce lacked depth and could have used more flavor and heat. Service was friendly and efficient, with dishes arriving promptly. Prices are reasonable and in line with expectations for Munich. The interior, however, feels dated, leaning heavily into older Chinese decorative styles. While it adds a certain charm, a modern refresh would elevate the overall dining experience. Overall, a great spot for delicious Chinese food with a few minor areas for improvement.

Unfortunately the service was really bad and when I complained to the owner about it he told me..."then you shouldn't visit us anymore". So despite the reasonable price for lunch, I don't recommend anyone ordering anything there 🤢🤮🤢

I've been going here for years and have never been disappointed. I consider it one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city, and the food seems very authentic. The service is always super friendly and attentive.

Fantastic flavors, great menu choices, a wonderful staff and a convenient location. I have the pork in peanut sauce which had a rich and deep flavor, over the crunchy breaded pork. Absolutely delicious, but a very strong flavor. Will definitely be back to try more from the menu!

Abundant dishes, you can order from the center to share several dishes. Good taste

The ambience is a bit "vintage" but it has a very nice charm and you don't feel like you're sitting on a chicken coop as is so common these days. The food is very tasty, there are both authentic and German dishes. But anyone who can read the map or asks will already notice. Price performance cannot be beat. All in all a recommendation. At lunchtime or in the evening during the week.

Great Chinese ambience, friendly service with a funny accent. The waitress and chef know our name and always greet us warmly. The food, especially the gogn bao, was extremely tasty and the spicy Maultaschen are super tasty.

The food was very tasteful and, above all, freshly prepared. I recommend braised chicken with mushrooms in a clay pot. We also had a starter - but it was too much as the portions are large. The restaurant is very comfortably furnished and you feel a little like you are in Asia.

Die Vorspeisen von der Spezialkarte waren ausgezeichnet - insbesondere die scharfen Hackfleischtaschen und die Dumplings. Allein schon deswegen werden wir wiederkommen. Die Hauptgerichte aus der normalen Karte konnten mit diesem Spitzenniveau leider nicht mithalten, waren aber schon auch gut. Allerdings nicht so ausgewogen, wie es bei traditionellem chinesischen Essen auch der Fall sein kann. Die Dame vom Service war sehr freundlich, hätte höchstens ein bisschen aufmerksamer sein und etwas öfter vorbeikommen können. Wir werden auf alle Fälle wieder kommen und uns durchprobieren! :-) Hinweis: es ist kein 08/15-Asia-Essen, wie man es an jeder Ecke bekommt. Sondern chinesisches Essen.

In addition to the main dishes, we asked to bring two portions of prawn crackers. At the end of the meal, the bill was prepared by hand on a piece of paper and we were charged 26 euros for the chips (13 euro each portion).

Waren heute zum wiederholten mal dort. Immer wieder ein Genuss. Restaurant war schon mal authentischer, jedoch auch jetzt noch bei weitem viel mehr Chinese als die anderen die ich kenne. Einige Gerichte die man nur so in China bekommt stehen auf der Karte. Kommen gerne wieder!

Ich kann die Bewertungen bezüglich freundlicher Bedienung absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Wir sind von weit weg aufgrund der positiven Bewertungen hier hergekommen. Obwohl wir eine Reservierung hatten ließ uns die Kellnerin im Eingangsbereich stehen und meinte nur „kein Platz“. Wir bekamen dann nach einiger Zeit freundlicherweise doch einen Tisch und nachdem wir unsere Bestellung aufgegeben hatten passierte erstmal eine Stunde lang nichts. Als wir uns bei der Kellnerin erkundigten, fragte sie uns was wir denn bestellt hätten und meinte nur dass sie ihren Zettel verloren hätte und dass die anderen Tische auch warten müssten. Dies war nicht der Fall, rund um uns herum wurde gegessen. Auf die Frage, warum sie uns eine Stunde warten lässt bevor sie uns sagt sie hätte die Bestellung verloren, meinte sie wir könnten auch einfach gehen - was wir dann auch taten. Ein derartiger Service ist vielleicht in einem billigen China-Imbiss okay, in einem Restaurant aber definitiv nicht. Lasst die Finger davon, es gibt in München definitiv bessere Orte für gutes chinesisches Essen!

Fantastic restaurant! The green onion and sesame pancakes are incredible delicious as well as the dumplings and the Sichuan spicy chicken pot which is served in the hot ceramic pot. Delicious. We will come back for sure!

Gutes chin. Essen sogar teilweise auf originaler Weise gepaart mit den old-school Klassikern was man den vor 2000er Restaurants her kennt. Einfach gut.

Very kitsch but charming chinese-y interiors. I know it's catering to a certain audience but I enjoyed it anyway. Definitely a sit-down place for people who enjoy exotic 'atmosphere'. Attentive waitress. Not many people there for lunch on a Saturday. The green onion pancakes were bomb! The four wontons also very delicious. Everything else, very meh, German/Westernized Chinese food.

Dieses Restaurant gibt es scheibar schon sehr lange und mit gutem Grund. Wir waren zur Mittagszeit hier, wo es relativ ruhig war. Die Preise sind sehr erschwinglich und die Portionen gut. Zum Mittagsmenü gibt es eine Suppe oder Frühlingsrolle (definitiv selbst gemacht und nicht die typische "Tiefkühl"-Variante) nach Wahl dazu. Die Gerichte schmecken authentisch (Szechuan Pfefferkörner schmeckt man gut raus!) und lecker und heben sich definitiv vom "gewöhnlichen" Asia-Restaurant ab! Besonders die Teigtaschen sind empfehlenswert! Wir kommen gerne wieder :-)

Chinesisch wie es sein sollte. Klassisch, authentisch, lecker! Der Laden ist eine Zeitreise, in den 80er hat es wohl nicht anders ausgesehen. Service ist spitze, souverän, persönlich. Absolute Empfehlung in der Maxvorstadt

positiv viel auf, dass einige asiatische Gäste dort gegessen haben (kann ja dann nicht schlecht sein). Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken ist geoß. Service schnell und freundlich. Hatte ein scharfes Entengericht, hab die Pepperoni nur probiert, war schon scharf aber wenn man sie im Teller lässt war das Gericht nicht wirklich scharf (was mir sehr recht war). Allerdings auch ordentlich Glutamat. Geschmeckt hat es trotzdem. Sicher kein Fehler dort vorbeizuschaun.

Es ist ein gutes Chinarestaurant. Es ist etwas versteckt in einer Seitenstrasse. Die Inneneinrichtung ist gemütlich. Der Service ist schnell und freundlich. Obwohl wir relativ spät kamen, bekamen wir noch etwas zu essen. Das Essen war gut. Und das alles zu fairen Preisen. Gerne wieder.

Großartige authentische chinesische Küche. Sehr freundlich und auch von der Einrichtung her gemütlich.

Gutes authentisches Essen. Preise sind auch fair. Wir kommen gerne wieder hier her und bestellen ein Special Menü. Die Einrichtung ist zwar einfach, aber das hat uns jetzt nicht wirklich gestört - wer hier bei dem Preis meckert, soll einfach in ein anderes Restaurant gehen und den dreifachen Preis zahlen für die Location.

Wir haben das Restaurant schon mehrmals besucht. Jedes Mal haben wir per Telefon das China Special Menü vorbestellt. Das geht nur ab einer bestimmten Personenanzahl. Wir waren jedes Mal mindestens zehn Leute. Serviert wurden dann mindestens dreizehn Gänge. Von Dumplings-, bis Fisch-, Fleisch- und Garnelengerichte war alles dabei. Das alles für einen Toppreis.

Für mich eines der üblichen Chinalokale, das Gericht durchschnittlich. Was aber sehr gefehlt hat, war eine Wärmeplatte, alles wurde offen serviert und war natürlich in kürzester Zeit nur noch lauwarm, der Reis ohne Deckel, das Fleisch-Gemüsegericht in einer Art Suppenteller, dadurch sehr schnell ausgekühlt, damit weniger schmackhaft.

Quite nice restaurant! More southern Chinese food taste. The interior design is very fancy and looks good on the pic. Food here are taste, and they offer big round tables for bigger groups and also special menus for groups. Just remember seems they accept bigger groups, it can be noisy from time to time, so if you are looking for a very quiet place for dining, you need to find seats more to the outside.
