China Restaurant Royal Pavillon in Schönefeld

We were invited to a buffet at this restaurant, and what can I say? It was simply amazing. Unbeatable at this price. Fish and meat are freshly prepared. There's a large selection of vegetables—even asparagus, which is a rare find elsewhere—and desserts, including soft-serve ice cream. We'll definitely be back.

Very good food, very friendly staff. What was really unacceptable, however, were the cocktails; they weren't very tasty. Furthermore, people ordered non-alcoholic cocktails and brought alcoholic ones. That shouldn't happen, especially with people driving. The robot is a highlight.

Unfortunately, our robot was a bit helpless, but otherwise everything was great...the buffet is constantly being restocked and cleaned, and tables are constantly being cleared. Sitting in the private rooms is a bit more pleasant and quiet...

We recently visited Mongolian Buffet and would like to share our experience. Food and offer: The buffet was huge and offered a wide variety of food. There was something for everyone, so no one had to go hungry. Price experience: An important tip: Be sure to get a receipt! We had an incorrect billing. Our four-year-old child was incorrectly charged 12.90 euros instead of the child price of 5.90 euros. It is therefore worth checking the invoice thoroughly. Sanitary facilities: Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the toilets was disappointing. There was feces on the toilet seat, which left an unpleasant impression. There is clearly a need for improvement here. Service: Despite the criticisms mentioned, we would like to positively emphasize that the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They made every effort to address our concerns. Conclusion: The Mongolian buffet generally offers an interesting and extensive selection, but the aforementioned deficiencies spoil the overall experience. Hygiene in the toilets in particular needs to be urgently improved. It is also advisable to check the invoice to avoid possible errors.

Once upon a time there was the best Chinese buffet, once upon a time... We have been coming since day number 1 and have always been satisfied, except for the last time! The prices on the deep fryer were pure oil/fat! The duck was also very zedderick.... Please go back to the old standard here!

So the food is really greasy and I threw up too bad after first spooning and service. They were also non-committal and told me you have to take drinks otherwise you have to pay regardless of whether you take them or not. So I think that's bad.

Since we were there as a family, we sat in one of the many booths (6-8) people. Drinks are extra, service is friendly and quick despite the abundance of guests. And the highlight: the soft ice cream machine😍 Prices vary between 16 and 27 euros depending on the day of the week and time for the buffet. It is advisable to call and reserve. Then everyone “bon appetit”

The buffet is varied and delicious, sushi is extensive and the dessert buffet is extensive. The service is friendly and quick.

This restaurant offers an impressive selection for lovers of sushi and Asian cuisine. The menu is diverse and diverse, so everyone can find something to their liking. I find other Royal restaurants nicer

We were there a week ago with a reservation. Unfortunately the ambience is much too loud, the food is good. However, especially on busy days, there should be staff at the buffet to check on children traveling alone. The parents don't watch their children and there were various unsavory attempts by the children. We missed dessert. The health inspection sends its regards.

Yes, for example for a family celebration

The individual small seating areas away from the main hall are ideal for small family celebrations, even with children. The only point of criticism: the tongs at the buffet were sometimes very dirty from the food - especially leftover sauces/contents from the sushi. These were only replaced with new tongs after 1.5 hours of being there while the sushi was being filled. The quality of the buffet was otherwise great for an all you can eat :)

Like something out of a Hollywood movie. There are individual rooms with a round table and a revolving table in the center. High-quality decorations with great attention to detail. We were there at lunchtime; the buffet was €15.95. (As of March 2025) Everything your heart desires was plentiful. Hot and cold dishes, even a soft-serve ice cream machine. Accessible by bus or on foot (about 15 minutes) from the Schönefeld S-Bahn station.

Very nice place to eat if you want a little more of everything. Several people, more time, more food...all included... in the buffet price 25€ on weekends and in the evening. There is also a lot for children to see and of course to eat. The ambience is quite busy, probably 150 people can fit in...but typical for a Chinese restaurant. Pre-ordering on WE is probably advisable.

One of the best Asian buffets I know. Only the Asian Temple in Nuremberg is better xD. For €27 you get all you can eat. What you get for it is really great. Extremely good sushi...good meat...fried food, etc etc. There is something for everyone. The soft ice cream is also extremely good. The baked goods, i.e. desserts, are ok, but they don't blow you away. Toilets are very clean and pleasant. The store is often full and it is definitely advisable to call ahead to make a reservation. There is also a small koi pond inside. Total The interior is great...you can't complain. Very tasteful everything and lots of space. Carvings, elaborate furniture. Everything is very elegant. Some of the food is served to the table using robots... completely autonomously. This applies to everything that is prepared on the grill by the hard-working chef. You choose what you want to grill, put it on a plate, add a clip with a number... and voila, it is prepared, put on the robot, it is briefly programmed and then delivers the food to the table with music in a funny way... great. The only thing that's a little annoying are the customers themselves. Since the buffet is in the middle of several hotels, there are very often rude guests who have forgotten all their manners. The store can't do anything about it, but it's annoying. It often happened that guests tried to leave without paying... several times... very unpleasant. These ALWAYS get caught because all employees are connected and everyone is paying attention...so give it a go guys xD. Many guests also don't appreciate the fact that they can get food as often as they want! It's always very embarrassing when you see guests who put so much on their plates that everything falls down again. Shaming on others is then the order of the day xD Otherwise a top address. I can only recommend it.

Everything is top!!! We booked a table for three in advance. We paid 25 euros per person, drinks are purchased separately. A variety of dishes! Desserts! There is even ice cream. I wanted to find out from the reviews what they give you in the assortment when you pay 15 euros per person. But no one wrote anything about it here. I am very pleased with the restaurant. They also congratulate people on their birthdays, and give a gift from the establishment. By the way, the waiters are both living people, and there is a robot cat. Very interesting.

The Royal Pavilion is a large restaurant with an all-you-can-eat buffet. There is plenty of space, in particular there are several separate rooms for family celebrations etc. (reserve). The service is professional. The food selection is large. Fish, seafood and meat appear fresh and tasty. You can put together your own “compositions” and have them fried or use prepared dishes. The ambience seems a bit cold and impersonal, designed for large numbers of visitors, but at the same time tidy and clean. The selection of dishes corresponds to the German expectations of standard China, the additional fresh offerings add some value. People don't usually come here because of the exclusive food, but because there is something for every taste - and because the Royal Pavilion is designed for larger groups.

Can you go there? It's always worth a trip.

The range of food and the quality of it is above average. We chose the Mongolian "all you can eat" buffet and didn't regret it, as the price/performance ratio (€24.90) was absolutely fine! We were pleasantly surprised and impressed by the variety of the buffet. Starting with the starters and ending with the dessert (delicious pastries, ice cream and fruit), we had nothing to complain about! You can have the fresh buffet, consisting of various seafood, steaks, poultry and more, grilled and then quickly brought to you by a robot. We also think it's very good that overly overfilled plates, which would actually be impossible to manage, are charged €3 per 100 g. This prevents senseless waste of food that then ends up in the bin. We are thrilled with the Royal Pavilion and would love to come back!

We came with 14 people and spent my father's 93rd birthday there. Everyone was really excited. The food was very tasty. Unfortunately you couldn't try as much as you wanted. Nothing fit anymore. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Grandpa received a birthday serenade. Everything was ok in terms of price. We'd love to come back

Were in Berlin over the weekend and discovered this restaurant. We then booked a table online and went there in the evening. In the middle there is a large koi pond with some fish. A real eye-catcher. Above the pond is a beautiful blanket that looks like a sky with clouds over mountains. The restaurant is well located and easy to reach, unfortunately parking is chargeable on Sundays. Monday - Saturday you can park for free for the first two hours. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we were quickly escorted to the table. Our drink order was then taken straight away. The selection of drinks is large, from soft drinks to cocktails and warm drinks. The buffet is large, with a lot of choice. There is something for everyone. Great selection of raw things that you can fry. The finished fried things are then brought to the table using cool serving robots. The choice of meat was also great, I liked the chicken in sweet and sour sauce best. Then there are the fried things. On the side there is a dispenser with honey for the fried bananas and fried pudding. There was also a large selection of sushi. So there is something for every taste. There is also a salad bar with various sauces and dressings. You can also find a large selection of desserts. There are baked goods such as cakes, donuts, eclairs, cream puffs and also donuts. A soft ice cream machine is also available with vanilla and chocolate ice cream, but you can also use both types together. There is also chocolate and strawberry sauce. We were there on February 22nd. Eating here for the first time with 9 guests. Nice restaurant, food as usual Asian good, nothing different from other large restaurants, everything ok and tasty. My mother, after chemotherapy, which you can clearly see, stands with us for about 10 minutes and wonders what exactly the waiter is doing. Other guests are constantly being let in from the back and brought to the table, while we continue to stand around at the front like idiots! At some point it will be our turn. About 5 minutes later you are finally allowed to enter the room with the reserved table. We were here for the lunch buffet. Standard Asian food is served. The quality was partly below average. However, the coconut soup with chicken was good. Everything else is pretty much “okay”. A little over €20 per person is clearly too high for a lunch of this quality. The money can be better invested elsewhere. The evening buffet could possibly be better, but unfortunately I can't judge that since we were only there for lunch. The only explanation I can give as to why a 4.6 is the average rating here is that the quality was probably better in the past.

You should actually avoid this place on weekends. A canteen or cafeteria has a much lower noise level. Conversation without practically shouting at each other is hardly possible, unfortunately. The quietest room is the lobby 🤐. However, the selection at the buffet is great, fresh, and new items are added regularly. Food is really very tasty.

The restaurant opens at 12:00 p.m. It actually opens at exactly 12:00 p.m. Until this time you stand in front of the uncovered door, whatever the weather, you can see it clearly from the inside, but it doesn't change anything. The food from the buffet with starters, main courses and desserts and an extraordinarily wide selection satisfies a wide range of tastes. Sushi lovers are also taken into account. The same applies to children, here too everyone is satisfied. Everything is freshly prepared. The price-performance ratio is very good. Another highlight are the small serving robots that bring the food to the table. We'd love to come back.

A solid place if you're in the mood for Chinese food. The buffet is large and has different Chinese dishes. The Mongolian grill is particularly impressive. There is a very good selection of fish and seafood. The dessert variations can be a little more modern, who needs Jell-O? The drinks are also a bit too expensive.

Unfortunately the food isn't tasty at all. The fried things (especially the fish) were cold and not at all edible. The service is also intrusive. You have to order drinks, otherwise you pay €3 each as a fine. I wouldn't recommend it.

This great AllYouCanEat buffet is hidden here completely in the middle of nowhere. If you happen to be stranded here as a BER passenger, you can find almost everything that the average European knows from Asian cuisine here every day! In addition to sushi, soups, baked goods and all sorts of Chinese dishes, there is also an area with raw meat and fish, which you can have freshly prepared on the grill along with lots of vegetables. Everything is then delivered by hard-working robots that not only deliver quickly, but are also very friendly and even sing for birthday children ;-).

We were there on a Sunday with 4 people for the buffet. It was quite full and the size of the restaurant gave it a bit of the atmosphere of a southern all-inclusive hotel. But: the food is incredibly delicious. Everything is fresh, very good quality and prepared with a lot of dedication. And that's what it's all about. If you want to sit a little more quietly, book yourself into one of the separate rooms. In any case, the Royal Pavilion is a real recommendation! Not forgetting the very attentive staff and of course the 4 robots that serve the food.
