Großartiges chinesisches Interieur, wie man es nur noch selten findet. Da schmeckt das Essen gleich besser als in einem "Resopalschuppen".

Wir waren vor drei Wochen dort mit sechs Personen zum Mittagessen. Das Restaurant ist wunderschön, die Speisen sehr lecker. Im Vergleich mit anderen Gaststätten sind die Preise auch sehr günstig. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Sehr altes Chinesisches Restaurant wo man noch nach alter Tradition Ala carte essen kann. Und außerdem noch sehr günstig und sehr sehr lecker. Besonders die großen Frühlingsrollen die sind noch hausgemacht und ganz frisch wenn man manchmal Pech hat und der Laden ist voll bekommt man keine mehr. Das Personal super freundlich, aber man muss auch sagen sehr langsam was man aber gerne in Kauf nimmt. Wir gehen hier schon viele Jahre hin es ist auch der älteste Chinese in Bochum. Meine Frau und ich können den Laden wirklich nur weiterempfehlen sehr sehr lecker und wir kommen immer wieder gerne hierhin. Preis-Leistung Verhältnis einfach Klasse 👍👏👏

Das Essen ist fantastisch. Ich war 1993 zum ersten Mal dort, und die Qualität ist seither konstant hoch. Die Ente, der Fisch und alles andere sind hervorragend. Beste Grüße an die zweite Generation der Inhaber.

Wir waren heute mit einer kleinen Fahrradgruppe zur Mittagszeit im Restaurant 'Lotus'. Der Service war sehr gut, aufmerksam und höflich. Die Speisen (von der umfangreichen Mittagskarte) kamen schnell, waren wie erhofft sehr schmackhaft und ließen keine Wünsche offen. Die Getränke waren wohltemperiert. Und die Preise waren günstig. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir kommen nicht mehr. Essen kam nach 1 1/2 Stunden, obwohl kaum was los war, als wir ankamen. Auf Nachfrage, ob man uns vergessen hätte, kam nur das viel los sei. Würde ich verstehen, wenn wir danach gekommen wären. Aber wir waren vor all den anderen da, die bereits aßen. Trinken ohne Kohlensäure, Essen war nicht überzeugend. Am Ende noch falsches Rückgeld gegeben.

Das Restaurant 🥢ist von außen unscheinbar, doch aufgrund der guten Bewertungen haben wir es ausprobiert. Freundliches Personal, Ambiente wie früher. Zum Glück kein Buffet Restaurant mit Massenabfertigung, sondern a la carte. Ente war sehr gut, schön knusprig und saftig. Die Erdnusssauce schmeckte sehr nach Sojasauce und zu wenig nach Erdnuss. Die Frühlingsrollen haben auch gut geschmeckt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und probieren noch andere Gerichte aus.🌞

A very nice, quiet atmosphere with a pleasant restaurant feel despite the reasonable prices. The staff was very polite and attentive. We finally have a favorite Chinese restaurant again! We were there on a weekday, just the two of us, and didn't need a reservation.

A very old Chinese restaurant where you can still eat à la carte according to traditional methods. And it's also very affordable and incredibly delicious. The large spring rolls are especially good; they're homemade and very fresh. Sometimes, if you're unlucky and the restaurant is full, you might not get any. The staff is super friendly, but they are quite slow, which is a small price to pay. We've been going here for many years; it's the oldest Chinese restaurant in Bochum. My wife and I highly recommend it – the food is absolutely delicious, and we always enjoy coming back.

Here you won't find the crowds and hectic pace of today's Chinese restaurants with their all-you-can-eat buffets. Instead, you can enjoy a relaxed evening, focusing on your conversation partners, friends, and the solid, delicious food. The value for money is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. This makes it a great place for families, too. We recommend the duck dishes or the spicy chicken à la Shezuan. We were completely won over – we'll definitely be back! As you can see, we did eat everything.

Hello to everyone reading this review. After several years, I recently visited the Lotus Chinese Restaurant again and would like to share my experience. This visit wasn't planned at all, so we were quite lucky to get a table. There was an extensive menu to choose from, as they don't offer a buffet. So we selected items from the menu. Ordering was quick, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The portions are probably sufficient for most guests. However, I didn't order an appetizer and wasn't completely satisfied afterward. So perhaps I should order an appetizer next time, although that would increase the overall cost. The food itself was very tasty. The atmosphere is very pleasant, not like a cafeteria or train station waiting room. I can recommend this restaurant.

Sorry, but it doesn't taste good. Ate duck with rice, the familiar sauce was inedible.

the food is really good and the people working there are very nice, but when I went there to order food for take out, I was given some wine shots while waiting. I assumed they were on the house, since they were just brought to me while I was waiting but they charged me 4 € per shot. I wish they would have been more transparent about that.

We visited Lotus Restaurant for the first time today. Since we were there during the week (at lunchtime), we focused exclusively on the lunch menu. Atmosphere: I personally really liked the decor. We entered the "left wing." It was decorated the way a European would imagine a Chinese restaurant. Beautiful woodwork and decorations. The furniture and floor all seemed clean and well-maintained. Really nice, quite different from some all-you-can-eat temples... more relaxed and traditional. Appetizer: Spring roll: Homemade with cabbage and minced meat filling. Delicious! & Kaiser roll: Mini spring rolls (probably frozen) with sweet and sour sauce. Was good! Main course: M22: Was simply top-notch. Super tasty and flavorful (not spicy, according to my personal taste). Rice is included. M17: The pork in the breaded meatballs was a bit too firm. It had vegetables on top and sweet and sour sauce underneath. Rice was included. Dessert: 1x Baked Banana: Banana pieces in batter, deep-fried, and drizzled with honey. Delicious! Tsingtao Beer & a small Coke The price/performance ratio is good. The portion size for the lunch menu is probably smaller than the "regular" menu. If I came really hungry, I wouldn't be full. (We got a shared plate with the meal and not a hot plate.) But the appetizer included for under €10, plus dessert and drinks... with a small tip, we came in at a whopping €30. We'll be back, maybe in the evening! PS: All my reviews are personal and subjective impressions.

I've been eating there for years. The food is delicious and the owners are always very friendly.

Everything was fantastic and prepared and served in the classic style of the 90s. The portion sizes are a minor drawback. But at a lunchtime price of under €10 for a main course and starter, you really can't complain. I paid €12 for a drink, a large homemade spring roll, and beef with onions and rice.

Typical Chinese restaurant with the usual music and solid food. I would like to highlight the probably homemade spring roll, which is included in the lunch menu at a fair price. We'll definitely come back. Pro tip for a short lunch break: pre-order by phone. We had just sat down when the hot starter was served to us.

A classic German Chinese restaurant with the typical Chinese ambience. The meal, consisting of a Peking soup, a spring roll and the main course Y07, was very tasty and also very pleasing to the eye, prepared and served. I ate well, got full, felt in good hands and would love to come back!

We were there today for the holiday and despite the restaurant being full and not many staff, everything went relatively quickly. The food was excellent compared to last time last year. The furnishings are always an eye-catcher. Only the sanitary facilities could be renovated again.

Today I was disappointed The food was good as I've been there several times, the first time my husband came with me as he doesn't like rice I asked if we could also have pasta, but at no extra charge, the lady said yes. At the end I wanted to pay and there was rice on it. The waiter said I had to pay, we can speak very bad GERMAN, my colleague didn't understand her correctly. I asked three times and she said yes. That's an excuse for me If I run a restaurant in Germany, I have to speak GERMAN with mine guests. They clear the table, but no one even asks if the food was tasty, as many times as I've been there. There is also no thanks, It's sad that they don't speak GERMAN, they've been in Germany for 20 years. Today was the last time I was here. We're looking for another Chinese restaurant 🍷🍺

This is a Chinese restaurant as you would imagine.

The entire ambience, such as the decorations, placemats and the dishes, have not changed since I was a child. Even the waterfall image in the entrance area has always been there. The food is good, the service is ok too. If you want to get a little nostalgic, if you know the restaurant from your childhood or youth, you won't be disappointed.

We have been eating there regularly and always for 25 years. If Chinese then there and not at an "all you can eat" buffet. Great ambience and super delicious food. It is better to reserve on Sundays and public holidays.

The first time we were there, it was absolutely delicious and we were happy to come back... Then on Sunday we had a rude awakening: first of all we weren't served for half an hour after being assigned our seats, then we were told that There is no more rice, when we asked if we could order pasta with the dishes, the waitress disappeared again for 10 minutes only to tell us after almost 45 minutes that she recommended fries as a side dish! Absolute impudence!!! We then got up and left

The food tasted really good and the service was very friendly. Overall very reasonable prices. Longer waiting times, but with the atmosphere and good company, that wasn't a problem for us. The restaurant was really completely full. So a reservation (especially on the weekend) makes sense. We will definitely come back.

The food is ok, a little under-spiced for me and I would like more authenticity. The service is very courteous but not intrusive at all. The ambience is very, very nice, only the plastic protective covers for the chairs spoil the overall picture a bit. However, the price-performance ratio is very good! Depending on what you order from the larger menu, you wait a little longer for the food or it actually just arrives after 10 minutes. The same pleasant and friendly service, very impressive ambience, for decades. The food is always fresh and hot and arrives at the same time and hot, even at the largest tables, and is kept warm on appropriate cake stands. The prices are very pleasant, almost too low for the excellent taste. Best recommendation.

Leckeres , immer frisches Essen. Sehr freundliche Betreiber. Die Einrichtung ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber das Essen ist so gut, daß das Restaurant immer sehr gut besucht ist.

Große Auswahl bei den verschiedenen Fleisch- und Fischarten sowie mehrere Reistafeln für 2-4 Personen.

Nach ewiger Zeit waren wir hier essen. Leider waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Im Restaurant war es ziemlich kühl, das war unser erste Eindruck. Der Service war super langsam. Vier Getränke dauerten 20 Minuten und dann wurde noch nicht mal das Richtige gebracht. Man hatte den Eindruck der Kellner spricht nur rudimentär Deutsch. Es wurden Frühlingsrollen als Vorspeise serviert, da war eine Stunde nach der Bestellung um. Sie sahen gut aus, aber eigentlich ist es nur aufgeblaser Teig mit Krümeln von Hackfleisch und Weißkohl, sehr fettig und leider geschmacksneutral. Hauptspeisen Entengerichte: Ebenfalls relativ geschmacksneutral, das so oft gescholtene Glutamat als Geschmacksverstärker haben sie auf jeden Fall nicht in der Küche. Außerdem waren die Speisen, wie die Raumtemperatur, nur lauwarm. Dass der Reis sehr pappig war und an den Zähnen klebte, will ich auch noch los werden. Wir können das Restaurant leider nicht empfehlen, vielleicht hatten wir aber einfach nur Pech. Aber das werden wir nicht herausfinden, da wir da nicht mehr hingehen wollen.

Meine Frau & Ich waren heute zum Mittagessen vor Ort. Ich verstehe es bis Heute nicht wieso es immernoch so ist, das wen man bei einen Chinaimbiss Anruft Sie am Telefon immernoch kein richtiges Deutsch können. Sie sind ja nicht erst seid gestern in Deutschland Es bleibt mir ein Rätsel. Nach der Ankunft haben wir ca 35 min auf die Menükarte gewartet. Nach weiteren 20 Minuten sind endlich die Getränke angekommen. Insgesamt haben wir für eine Cola ein Radler 2x Frühlingsrolle und 2x Ente mit Reis zusammen 49 Euro bezahlt. Ist so Mittelmäßig finde ich. Am schlimmsten fand ich das wir dafür 2,5std dort waren um zu Essen weil es alles sooooo ewig lange dauerte. Geschmacklich war es kein Highlight. Würde da nicht nochmal hingehen.

Ich habe kürzlich Essen in diesem Restaurant bestellt und möchte meine Erfahrung teilen. Das Essen selbst war wirklich köstlich und hat meinen Gaumen erfreut. Die Aromen waren gut abgestimmt und die Zubereitung war offensichtlich sorgfältig gemacht. Allerdings muss ich sagen, dass die Portionsgröße ein wenig enttäuschend war. Sie war meiner Meinung nach zu klein, vor allem in Relation zu dem Preis, den man dafür bezahlt hat. Es fühlte sich nicht wie ein ausgewogenes Verhältnis an und hinterließ ein Gefühl der Unzufriedenheit. Das Ambiente des Restaurants war angenehm und das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Bestellung wurde schnell aufgenommen und das Essen wurde prompt serviert. Die Qualität des Essens und der Service waren definitiv positiv. Alles in allem war das Essen sehr lecker, jedoch war die Portionsgröße in Bezug auf den Preis unzureichend. Ich hoffe, dass das Restaurant diese Rückmeldung nutzt, um das Angebot zu verbessern und ein ausgewogeneres Verhältnis zwischen Qualität, Portionsgröße und Preis zu schaffen.

Nach vielen Jahren hat es uns mal wieder nach Langendreer verschlagen und wir waren zur Mittagszeit bei Lotus. Und genau wie vor 30Jahren super Essen, sehr nette Bedienung und ein sehr vernünftiger Preis. Vielen Dank dafür, diesmal dauert es nicht so lange bis wir wiederkommen. ☺️

Das Restaurant mußte mal renoviert werden. Wir waren vor Monaten zum ersten Mal da. Da war das Essen seht lecker 4.5 Sterne 🌟 wert. Dann haben wir was Mal was bestellt zum abholen. Das war nicht so gut 3 Sterne. Dann waren wir in April nochmal im Restaurant essen. Das war leider auch nicht besser wei beim zweiten Mal.

Nach vielen Jahren mal wieder da gewesen und ich muss sagen, immer noch alles super und von den Preisen waren wir angenehm überrascht... Beide Daumen hoch 👍🏻👍🏻

Das Essen kam erst nach 70 Minuten, teilweise gar nicht, war aber auf der Rechnung und wurde erst auf Nachfrage davon runter genommen Geht gar nicht, gab noch nicht mal eine Entschuldigung

Fast alles ok, nur die Bedienung lässt zu wünschen übrig, kommt daher, es ist kein Personal da, ist ein zwei Mann Betrieb.

Das Restaurant finde ich persönlich richtig schön. Alles ist sehr traditionell gehalten. Die Wände, sogar die Decke, Stühle, Tischdeko etc. Im Hintergrund hört man leise asiatische instrumentale Musik. Es ist sauber und das Personal putzt auch direkt die Tische ab, sobald jemand gegangen ist. Super! Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Kam mir nur etwas schüchtern vor. Wenn ich etwas wollte, musste ich winken, statt das ich gefragt wurde, ob ich noch etwas trinken möchte. Doch das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau. Das Essen war schön angerichtet und sehr lecker. Die Preise sind total fair! Also wir kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal wieder.
