The food was very greasy, and we were treated like we were skipping out on the bill even though we were only there for a smoke. That's unacceptable! I expected more for the price, both from the staff and the buffet, in terms of quality and quantity.

We visited the restaurant and were somewhat disappointed overall. We personally preferred the offerings in Bitburg – both in terms of taste and value for money. At €27 for a meal including drinks, the price there is fair and reasonable. In comparison, we found the €4.80 for a 0.4l Coke here to be significantly overpriced. Unfortunately, we didn't feel like valued customers here and will choose a different option in the future.

The buffet was quite okay. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was huge, and it's been around for a long time. It's easy to see that it's a bit dated.

It used to be something special when there weren't so many all-you-can-eat vendors. Not anymore. It can't compete with the newer vendors. The food selection is pretty much the same as it was 10 years ago. The competition has significantly more to offer.

Must have been table 21 or 22. Since people tend to linger there for a while, I'd like to sit comfortably. I also wish the smoking area was closed so the smell wouldn't permeate the room.

The food is more than good, and the staff is consistently friendly... with one exception: the grill chef seems extremely unfriendly and practically poisons you with his stares. This unfortunately tarnishes the otherwise very positive overall impression.

A lot has changed, and I have to say it's turned out really well. The grilled food is beautifully presented, the selection is larger, and it's really delicious. The price of €25 is justified given the selection and quality.

So most of the time you have to say that everything here is really fresh. At least that's what it seems like to me. If something looks too dried out for me, such as: Duck at the buffet then you can just let us know and they will bring new ones. So if you don't like the look or consistency, just let me know. Price is very expensive for weekdays without the additional kaiser buffet. I only recommend everyone to eat there on weekend evenings when not only the small but the large buffet is served.

The food is not that good. It is very oily and often too salty. It just tastes okay. The atmosphere is reminiscent of the 90s. The location is very difficult to reach and there are only a few parking spaces. It looks a little questionable, especially in conjunction with the casino in the same building.

What should be emphasized is the very nice service and that the children do not pay the full price. The food was okay. We were there at lunchtime, unfortunately there was no duck. They are definitely there in the evenings. We didn't find the presentation of the ice cream appealing, but that could be improved. The ambience was good, especially for children. There is something to explore through the fish and turtles.

From the outside the facade looks a bit worn, but this first impression is deceptive. A tank with turtles and fish awaits you right at the entrance - a detail that some may find grotesque. I really liked the interior design and created a special atmosphere. There are also separate areas for smokers and non-smokers. The menu offers a wide selection and the taste of the food is also impressive. However, it makes you pretty thirsty. Overall, however, it was a great experience and we would love to come back.

Very tasty food, large selection of dishes! Today was our first time here, but from now on we will go often. The hall is very beautiful, beautiful large aquariums at the tables. The atmosphere is very pleasant. I definitely recommend it to everyone.

We had a menu for two people. For portions were very large. The food was a bit oversalted, the beef was unfortunately tough, and the pork had a lot of fat. There were few vegetables.

No address for dog owners. It's better to eat somewhere else because your beloved pet has to stay outside in the car. It also becomes critical with children, who are not very welcome either.

Even if the outside area seems to be in need of renovation, the inside still has the typical "Mongolian BBQ" ambience. Service was on point, the (à la carte) food unfortunately only tasted like old frying fat, you don't have to have that again.

The ketchup soup with pasta but with the name of pecking soup, the other dishes can be said a bit edible but not to my liking. The canteen is cold and what caught my attention was a lady with a cart full of plates in the middle of the restaurant cleaning plates of food and this is beyond my expectations. An experience you would not see again in the future 😮‍💨😔

On the last day of 2024 we drove to Trier specifically to have lunch at China City It's quite an experience to experience great food and nice service. In contrast to other days, the number of guests was very manageable. Therefore, despite these circumstances, it is very much to the credit that a rich selection was offered in the cold and warm buffet. More than 20 different dishes were available. As always, we are looking forward to our next visit, which is planned for March due to the distance.

I had the great pleasure of spending my culinary journey at Chen China City Xia De. The warm welcome from the staff and owner was like a warm, welcoming sunshine that is rarely found in this day and age. I visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday with my sister and was completely blown away by the impressive variety of the buffet - there was literally something for every taste! The friendliness and persistent smiles of the staff created an oasis of serenity in which the stress of everyday life could simply disappear. After this enriching experience, we left the restaurant happy, satisfied and of course full. My enthusiasm is so great that I will without a doubt return in the near future. Chen China City Xia De, you have won my culinary heart!

Short version: I have known the store for over 15 years. I don't know if the owner has changed since then or what. But if so, then with consistent quality. Best all-you-can-eat Asian I know!

Reserved online for 5 people. Was confirmed by email. On the booked day I stood in front of a closed restaurant with 4 invited guests. Here you probably won't be able to provide brief information via email. Very embarrassing, even for my guests. It doesn't matter why a restaurant is closed at short notice, you can expect short information about reservations!!! A note on the restaurant door about a burst pipe is simply too late for invited guests, and it remains unnecessarily bad in the memory

China City is really good again! After I hadn't been to Trier for a long time and wanted to try it again, I wasn't disappointed. A large selection of everything, and you can even have your meat prepared fresh.

The China City Restaurant surprised me very positively! The selection of food is impressive, from fresh salads and delicious starters to main courses from different cuisines and delicious desserts. The ingredients were fresh and everything was very well prepared. I particularly liked the friendly atmosphere and the attentive staff who regularly cleared the tables and kept everything clean. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely right. I would be happy to come back and can recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a large selection of good food in a pleasant atmosphere!

We ordered by phone for the first time today and picked it up ourselves. Before that we had eaten in the restaurant countless times. The menu is available online and you only need to enter the selected dish number when ordering. Then you will be told how many minutes you can pick it up. It is also delivered, but we live outside of this delivery radius. When I picked it up, the food was still very hot, as if it had just come off the stove. So it was no problem to enjoy the food hot at home after the drive home. It was very tasty and plentiful so that we were more than full. Update October 30, 2024 Had dinner in the restaurant again today and, as always, it was very nice, harmonious and tasty. We enjoyed the evening at the Shaokao Grill Buffet and went home completely full. As always, the buffet was rich and simply delicious. Here everyone will 100% find something to suit their taste, whether at the buffet, the salad bar, the sushi bar or for dessert. We were completely satisfied and would always be happy to come back.

The food is fresh and delicious. It's all a matter of taste, of course. The ambience leaves a lot to be desired, unfortunately due to its size it is like a huge waiting room with a lot of noise. The service could be a little better. People don't ask questions about themselves, drinks orders are sometimes forgotten... Toilet clean. We always enjoy going there.

The three of us ate there on Saturday. All three of us got the buffet. You can start straight away, grab a plate and head to the buffet. The evening buffet is very rich. Mongolian food for the grill and a lot of choice before; Main and desserts. Everything I tried tasted great.

The large Chinese restaurant is not so centrally located in Trier, but was well attended at lunchtime. Due to the large space, the atmosphere is very relaxed. The service is very friendly. The buffet is currently available for 15.90 euros. The food is of good quality, but here and there it is unfortunately not hot enough. The selection and the price-performance ratio are fine here. Conclusion: recommended.

The service is nice, the buffet is awesome, there is rarely so much choice. The pool with the koi and turtles is very beautiful and the children always have a lot of fun in it. The toilets are also nice and clean. 10/10

The food was really good. Service very nice. We were there on Saturday evening and the restaurant was very full. We didn't have a reservation. We then got a place in the smoking room. It's best to reserve for the weekend.

Very good buffet. The only thing I can complain about is that it still smelled greasy. But it wasn't surprising since it was so full at 6 p.m. that you soon couldn't get a table and it only opened at 5:30 p.m.!

They don't give you a receipt, you don't know how much a meal costs. It's only for people who want a lot of food, And return the plate empty, otherwise you will pay an additional €5. 3 menus from the buffet, 1x Cola, 1 x bottle of water Euro 79.20 .. Am not satisfied.

All you can eat for a fixed amount of €25.90 p/p and if you waste food you will be charged €5 extra, which is fine. The atmosphere is reasonable, no air conditioning but a fan on a stand at the end of the large dining room. The chef who prepares your chosen meat and fish is waving his head with a piece of cardboard, not a fresh face. The food was reasonable, much of it was still half frozen in the buffet area, including some of the sushi, which was not fresh.

Service is still good, the staff is very nice! Unfortunately, the food no longer tastes good. We got to the buffet at 1330 and the selection was poor, dishes were no longer refilled, so we had expensive fried noodles for lunch 🙈

Massenabfertigung für Deutsche, die Asiaten selbst würden so einen Fettkram nicht essen..... fettige Soßen, jede Menge Frittiertes. Klar, Fett ist ein Geschmacksträger, aber Fett macht auch satt ;-) Mayoflasche steht auf dem Büffet umgeben von Hitzewolken der Speisen, die Salmonellen lassen grüßen!!! Nachtisch - alles total überzuckerter Fertigkram. Seit Jahren immer das ein und selbe Mittagsbuffet. Salatdressing aus dem Tetrapack, und, und, und..... also asiatische Küche geht definitiv anders!!! Abend-Buffet voll teuer geworden, viel zu teuer für das, was geboten wird !!!

Typical Chinese restaurant, everything is actually freshly prepared, clean and a large selection at the buffet. Dessert could be expanded, but also the classic offerings of fruit, ice cream, pudding and sweets or small pieces of cake. We really enjoyed the buffet and Mongolian grill. It wasn't crowded either, but it got busier as the evening went on.

If I compare this puffee what we hae in Finland Helsinki for less money...it is very poor. Specially the suschi buffee is a joke. But ofcourse you dont have to leave feelung hunry. There is always something ypu also like..little 😅

Great rich buffet. But somehow the taste is no longer as good as last year. I was so looking forward to the sushi 🍣, but this time we were disappointed. Staff is super friendly as always. Today it was completely full, but the service was very attentive and the buffet was always replenished. Unfortunately the cake is always frozen so it cannot be eaten.
