CHICKEN ZONE & KEBAB ZONE in Hamburg

We have been shopping regularly at this kebab shop for many years and have always been very satisfied – both with the taste and the friendly service. Unfortunately, during our last visit, we discovered that the hygiene conditions did not meet the usual standards. We noticed that employees were smoking in front of the shop and then continuing to work without thoroughly washing their hands. Their hands were only briefly rinsed in a bowl of water – without soap or disinfectant. In between, they used their cell phones, touched money, and then immediately continued working on the food. They also occasionally wiped away sweat without washing their hands afterwards. That's a real shame, because we really liked the shop. We hope that improvements will be made soon – especially with regard to hand hygiene and food handling. With a few simple measures, you can ensure that the quality and customer trust are maintained.

I recently ate at Chicken Zone Billstedt and unfortunately developed a severe gastrointestinal infection afterward. What was particularly noticeable was that the employees weren't wearing gloves and apparently, adequate hygiene was lacking in other ways. I would like to warn other diners: Please be careful where you eat. Unfortunately, I now have to bear the health consequences and am very disappointed by this experience.

The worker doesn't speak German. French fries are not recommended. Doner kebab is just standard doner kebab.

The best place of its kind in Hamburg. Only comparable to City Chicken in Berlin. You get a bread roll and dip with every half chicken. Plus, the chickens are actually roasted, not just hanging like they're in some grill cart. That makes a huge difference in the taste.

I was there today and ordered two doner kebabs with fries, one chicken and one veal. I actually wanted a fries doner kebab and a rice box, but they didn't have any rice, so I had to have a fries doner kebab for myself as well. Before I even really said what I wanted, he asked, "Without meat?", which I found very inappropriate. The salesperson was generally unfriendly. There was still some veal left, but not that much; he simply packed the rest away and refused to give it to me. Instead of asking normally, he just stood there, said nothing, and was rude. He also made some inappropriate jokes, which is something you really don't expect in a kebab shop. In the end, I insisted on my veal anyway and had to practically fight for it, as he simply set the rest aside without properly covering it or wrapping it. Very disappointing, and unfortunately not the first time I've had such a bad experience here.

I was just there. Unfortunately, they didn't pack enough wings. I recommend checking the quantity on site.

The chef was very friendly and the food was delicious. I can recommend the vegetable dürüm. It even came with fries and feta cheese, and the vegetables like eggplant and zucchini were delicious. There are also a variety of sauces to choose from. I had garlic and spicy. I also thought €7.50 was a fair price, as it was a large portion. It was also very hot and served quickly. I would come back.

Awesome restaurant with delicious food! Our group of five had the spicy number 8 and everyone was extremely satisfied. Delicious, perfectly seasoned, and the chicken was cooked all the way through. Our favorite: the chicken burger on the menu. The service was also super nice and friendly! Clean and excellent value for money. We all had a great time :)

Ordered a LARGE kebab for €12 via Uber Eats. Absolutely outrageous, it was only half full, 50g of meat, and the rest was salad. Apparently, it's become normal these days to just rip people off.

We ordered a doner kebab box without fries. Unfortunately, the fries were simply left out without compensating for the portion with more salad. As a result, the box was extremely empty. For €8-9, that's very disappointing and quite stingy.

The food is incredibly delicious! The chicken is fantastically seasoned and grilled. The portion was huge and almost impossible to handle. The cashier could use a bit more coordination. But that doesn't detract from the taste! I'd love to come back! I had menu 10, and it was easily enough for two adults and one child.

The staff are truly a disaster! Incredibly unfriendly and irritating! They should take a look at their staff! The Dürüm, on the other hand, is top-notch!

Unfortunately, the visit to the Chicken Zone was disappointing. The service left a lot to be desired - the staff were not attentive. All tables were dirty and were not cleaned even after a long wait. The food tasted very good, but was clearly too expensive for the atmosphere and poor service. Overall, the price-performance ratio is not right.

I got food for Iftar yesterday, the garlic sauces were kind of weird and old and not fresh, the grilled chicken was too greasy, so everything used to be great and fresh and much better. It gave me diarrhea, it's just not normal and I don't know what else to say about it. So never again

The best halal breaded chicken in Hamburg!!! I'm totally thrilled! The spicy chicken wasn't spicy for me but it has a special flavor that I like. The meat alone tastes good without the skin. The garlic sauce was really tasty. It goes really well with the chicken. 10/10 recommended! I would be very happy to have a branch in Elmshorn 😁

So the food was fresh. Mediocre kebab, only it was very greasy. So you can eat it, but the long journey was free. The sauce I had made me sick. I'd rather stick to our regular kebab shop. So it wasn't as heard as the YouTubers advertised on the internet. What I liked was the bread. It was crispy.

By far the most unfriendly and unhygienic employees I have ever seen. How can you let such people work in service? Now without joking, what does the owner think with such employees???? Doner kebab is always cut raw and the boys behind the counter talk like 17 year old boys from special school... Craziness

Tasty chicken, affordable prices. The restroom was neat and no extra charge for using it. Although the place is small, not enough space for large groups.

Very tasty kebab plate with rice and ayran. The food was quick and beautifully presented. The staff was open-minded and friendly, even with a little smile. The ambience has a nice design and the light is not as unpleasant as in other restaurants, but it doesn't really create a feel-good atmosphere. Maybe it's because of the limited space, or the acoustics when it's full. Of course it's enough to eat there, but I'll take the food with me next time. So, as you can read, I will be back. My recommendation is that everyone experiences the food and the ambience differently. Enjoy your meal here without a doubt.

very bad food. I asked the weather to give me the fresh chicken and he said we don't have fresh and instead he just microwaved the food. I ordered like €40 of food and eventually I was eating the very cold food and he was angry on me, he was showing me his faces and tantrums. I don't recommend this restaurant. Very bad.

If you want delicious, juicy grilled chicken or tasty baked chicken pieces “also spicy”, the Chicken Zone is the right place for you

I really like the CHICKEN ZONE & KEBAB ZONE view, there is only one thing that I find really disgraceful. I ordered a double cheeseburger and fries, so I'm glad that you get such a large and delicious meal for so little money, but unfortunately there's no plate, just a paper wrapper that expires and dissolves after you bite into the burger 5 times. I find it pretty unappetizing when the paper comes off and half ends up in your mouth along with the burger.

We ordered there and unfortunately got cold chicken and cold soggy fries. And that for the money. No thanks, not again.

Unfortunately disappointed. We became aware of this through a YouTube video. The kebabs are topped somehow. Sometimes there's no sauce on top?! Meat was delicious. Red cabbage was old and already brown. Employees unmotivated. And the nice side dishes weren't offered either, like lemon or sumac

I think we need to be more careful about customer satisfaction. The atmosphere of the restaurant will be much more positive, especially if a more polite and customer-oriented approach is preferred instead of unnecessary jokes that exceed the professional boundaries of the service. An environment where everyone does their job seriously creates trust in customers.

My husband ordered a kebab. After an hour he didn't come. We called them to ask when it would arrive. It was supposed to be there in 2 minutes. 2 minutes turned into 40 minutes. The shop is extremely dirty. It's sticky, there's food leftovers all over the tables and floor. I have the feeling that the waitresses are particularly unfriendly towards women. Don't say hello to them or give them a glance. I really wonder how the food is still okay under these circumstances.

Fried chicken with a difference 😋 Instead of curry sauce and fries, there is also thum (garlic foam) and rice with chicken. The chicken is seasoned very tasty. Completely different taste than KFC, for example. Definitely try it out! We always go here when we're craving chicken. My tip: bring your own citrus cloth for your fingers. We thought the whole Hanchen from the grill would taste good but it was burnt completely dry. We also had 2 kebab boxes for the cold meat. The staff was unfriendly and one star was dropped.

Das halbe Hähnchen enttäuschte durch seinen nicht optimalen Gargrad, und der Thum-Dip war durch übermäßige Salzigkeit beeinträchtigt. Die Erfahrung war insgesamt wenig zufriedenstellend. Die Toiletten zeigten Mängel in Bezug auf Sauberkeit und bevorstehende Reparaturen, was die Hygienebewertung beeinflusste. Es ist klar, dass der Fokus des Ladens auf Händchen und Döner liegt. Verbesserungen in der Zubereitung und Qualität dieser Hauptgerichte könnten das kulinarische Erlebnis erheblich verbessern. Eine verstärkte Aufmerksamkeit auf Hygiene wäre ebenfalls wünschenswert. Hoffentlich werden zukünftige Besuche eine verbesserte gastronomische Erfahrung bieten.
