CHI CHU in Berlin

This restaurant is really great and recommended - the food is high quality and lovingly prepared. The owner is super nice and warm and I like to come for lunch or in the evening. I have loved this place for many years.

*worst Sommerrollen* ever in berlin! look at the rice noodles inside, super soggy, gluey and hard, barely no veges inside. Sauce was additionally terrible. I was starving but it wasn't eat-able. Never try :)

Very large selection of food. The service was okay, but could have been faster. The ambience is cool because the restaurant is located right next to Lausitzer Park. Really cool here.

I rarely give reviews, but I felt the need to do so! The food is definitely NOT fresh, it tastes old. The meat, the veggies, the rice... everything tasted like it was cooked at least 2 days ago. We were 4 people and ordered different meals and all shared the same opinion!

Edit: Outstanding Customer Service! Like 10min after the review the restaurants management reached out to me, apologising and explaining the situation. They even refunded my expenses! I would definitely give this place a second chance! Springrolls we’re close to still frozen and I don’t know what those black burned flakes are Not the best first impression

Great food in the neighbourhood, great ratio of price vs quality of dishes

We were here yesterday, food was tasteless, cold, bad quality and so bad bad flavor… My order came as plane noodles, plane salad and two spring rolls swimming in oil… what to say… we were so embarrassed to have invited our friends as everyone said their plates and soups were also tasteless. I won’t recommend it personally, very disappointed being in such a good location.

It's nice to sit outside...but I've had better pho

Really none of it was good! The beef strips were inedible and smelled old 🤢 And the children's soup didn't taste like anything, just chicken strips with noodles and water! Oh man, I could have saved money!

Had a PHO … tasteless! After eating half discovered hair in food. Told waitress. Had to pay full price. Disappointing place!

Ordered Pho on Wolt. The packaging was destroyed… looks like hot soup was stored in the CARDBOARD containers for too long and had melted through. The entire noodles container was soggy and submerged inside the soup. I don’t think it’s a delivery issue because i saw the driver take out the package upright. Could not even eat it because there were flakes of cardboard in the food. Disgusting.

how can you even call this pho, the broth is bland and the noodle texture is terrible with chewing gum-like beef. i ordered the pho chi chu and there were tomato cores and raw, stringy celery pieces. packaging is the worst i have ever seen for food delivery, especially for SOUP. the containers were paper and the lids melted into eachother, spilling all over the bag. (not even in the driver‘s control). my precious euros are gone now due to this stuff called pho.

Nice place, delicious pho, handsome people. And now probably the only place in 36 where you can get something really tasty to eat before 6 p.m.

A charming little restaurant with a lovely terrace for Vietnamese lunch. However, disappointment with the duck – it was too dry, despite the good rice and vegetables.

Favorite Vietnamese place in this region. Love the vegan Pho and the staff is so nice. We are going there 2x per week.

Ein absolutes Highlight. Nach langer Zeit, war ich endlich mal wieder im CHI CHU und es hat sich mal wieder mehr als gelohnt. Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker, frisch und mit Liebe und Tradition zubereitet. Der Service ist aufmerksam, schnell und sehr freundlich. Absolut empfehlenswert mit Stammlokalpotential. Von mir gibt es eine 10 von 10. 👌

Good food, but 2€ for a glass of tap water is unbelievable.

Wir sind auf Empfehlung ins Chi Chu. Leider sehr enttäuschend. Essen könnte geschmacklich besser sein. Sehr lasch gewürzt. Für uns leider keinen zweiten Besuch wert 🤷

Super Essen für einen guten Preis. Man kann gemütlich in einer Spielstraße draußen sitzen, also auch toll mit Kindern zu besuchen! Immer freundliche Bedienung!

They have the best vegan pho in the city. I order it few times a month and was never disappointed! Great taste for low price.

Kind of in shock this place has such high reviews. Phad thai soup (whatever it's called), was bland water with no taste, noodles, pieces of chicken. No taste of soup, not warm enough. To have some taste, I put soya souce - I think that's enough said. Some side lime, chili, but I didn't fix the overall experience, would not reccomend.

Das Essen ist lecker, leider hatte die nette Bedienung unserer Tee vergessen. Man kann auch gut draußen sitzen.

The beef spring rolls contained hardly any beef - it was 99% cabbage inside. The noodles were low quality egg noodles in an average broth/soup. There were two prawns (tiny ones). The two mushrooms were tangy and sour- horrible. The char sui pork was tough - the toughest pork l've ever tasted. The pork wontons were the worst wontons I've ever had - my partner had to spit it out. The bottled water was the best thing they gave us.

I wanted to eat there since a while,never made it,but yesterday I finally had the chance and what can I say. The rice-noodle-salad was tasty,and also the rice with duck was alright.crunchy but a little too much fat. The first lemonade without added raw sugar,which was different to most of the Vietnamese places around but still good. The staff is friendly and in general it's a good spot to be with kids,as they can play around and still be seen. Would definitely go there again.

Small but very recommended authentic Vietnamese restaurant. I order pho bo chin and everything tasted amazing. The broth is rich with hints of ginger, the noodle is soft and perfectly cooked. The vietnamese coffee is really delicious. Really recommended this place, the price is very fair (more to cheap), the food are amazing. Note: we paid in cash

A great chill place with some good food

Theres nothing generic about Chic Chu. Their flavours are bold and unique. Their crisp Pork Belly is amazing. Their summer rolls also quite good. Chicken Curry. My fav is their egg fried rice and their new home made chutney.

I came here recently for the first time. The food was very delicious and the staff was super friendly. The owner of the restaurant makes sure that everybody feels comfortable to enjoy his authentic meals. I will come back to try more dishes from the broad menu.

Leckere Brühe im Entengericht, Weizennudel waren etwas durchgekocht und das Entenfleisch nicht das Beste, aber völlig ok. Zu Beginn wurden uns unaufgefordert, zwei kleine Schälchen mit Hoisin und scharfer Sauce serviert, was ich sehr gut fand, weil ich immer mal gerne nachwürze, ausserdem, brachte man mir sogar auf Anfrage Chilliflocken (die meisten Läden haben keine-danke dafür!) Das Reisgericht war sehr frisch (eventuell nur etwas zu fettig) und sehr schmackhaft. Sehr, sehr leckere Zuckerschoten! Beide Gericht unter 10€, für die Portionen und für den Geschmack-SUPER! Werden wiederkommen!

Ich komme wöchentlich zu ChiChu! Huy ist ein toller und sympathischer Gastgeber und die Küche ist einfach super. Ob ein heißes Curry im kalten Berliner Herbst oder ein erfrischender Reisbandnudelsalat im Sommer - hab alles probiert und alles schmeckt! Weiter so Huy und bis nächste Woche! :)

Essen war ziemlich schlecht. Und 9€ für so ein geschmacklosen, trockenen Reis und Fleisch Gericht ist einfach zu viel. Die Bedienung tat mir Leid, hat ganz alleine an alle Tische gearbeitet, totale Ausbeutung.

Keine Kartenzahlung, lange Wartezeiten durch Personalmangel. Eine Bedienung für 9 Tische kann einfach nicht funktionieren. Die Sommerrollen sind extrem fade (nur Reis + Eisbergsalat und die Zutat die man ausgesucht hat). Hier besser auf die Frühlingsrollen ausweichen. Die Hauptgerichte sind wirklich lecker, vor allem wenn man Pak Choi liebt. Der Schweinebauch ist super lecker und kross.

Sehr empfehlenswert, preis-leisgug mehr als top und cooles Ambiente, danke für die leckere Ente, immer wieder toll bei euch!

Mehrfach bestellung nicht ordentlich ausgeführt. Komische Tüten die reißen und eher unschön eingerichtetes Esszimmer. Essen war sehr lecker und und location ist nicht schlecht.

Cute little restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating at the quaint Lausitzer Platz. Great Vietnamese noodle and rice dishes with lots of vegetarian options. Add the spicy oil with fried onion for an extra kick! Friendly staff and cashless payment options make it a neighborhood favorite.

Food poison ☠ thanks! We shared a meal and got the same stomach aches. When I paid inside I saw the filthy kitchen. I don't worry much about how the place looks but when I get sick of a meal, there is defo something wrong with the ingredients. Highly recommend if you want to lose weight....

Nothing really special. The food is neutral, and soybean sprouts were not fresh, but simply old. Therefore one star from five.

This place is a little gem. It’s a bit hidden, so that you only stumble upon it when you get lost in the Kreuzberg Kiez. Their soups, especially their signature one called Pho Chi Chu, which has an even richer broth than their regular Phos, are really good. But my favorite pick is the eggplant-tomato-tofu rice dish, which is light, savory and naturally slightly sweet from the tomatoes. Combined with a lime-mint lemonade, this is a perfect mix for a healthy lunch option on a nice summer day.
