Perfect service and delicious food with fair value. Papadums with two sauces were served as a welcome treat. The lentil curry was fantastic, but in one case at the table, the food was a bit too spicy. Order yogurt on the side and enjoy.

Since we love the Indian street food and curries there, we've always enjoyed ordering there. This was our first time visiting the restaurant ourselves – a perfect decision on this Sunday. Very helpful staff, always attentive and friendly. A definite plus: some dishes can only be ordered in person, as they can't be delivered. We will definitely be back 🙂

I’m a tourist from the UK and visited this restaurant in Frankfurt with three of my German friends. We were all extremely disappointed with the experience. First, we were not served what we actually ordered. Despite having clearly noted down everything with the numbers and names of the food items, the staff brought us wrong dishes and even added items we never ordered to the bill and the table. When I confronted them about this (in English, and my friends in German), they completely ignored me and did not respond. Interestingly, they spoke English throughout the ordering experience, so there was no language barrier excuse. The whole family running the restaurant is apparently from London, as mentioned in other reviews, which makes their behavior even more disappointing — ignoring a customer like this is unacceptable. During the visit, one of my friends was so upset she cried in the restaurant — and the staff showed no care or concern. As “compensation,” they offered a €4.90 drink, but we did not want this. They did not offer compensation for the incorrect dish, which was priced around €18.90, even though the correct dish we originally ordered was about €6-8. This is a significant difference, and from what should have been an expected total of €60-70, our bill came to €97 — yet they offered nothing to fix this. Please note there were also other items which we did not order. We will be contacting our bank to dispute the charges and taking further action as needed. This kind of poor service feels like an attempt to take advantage of tourists who may not be familiar with local rules and practices. There are plenty of great restaurants in Frankfurt — avoid this one unless you enjoy bad service, surprise charges, food you did not order and are not allowed to decline, and an overall frustrating experience. Edit: First of all, we knew exactly what we wanted to order: lamb biryani, lentil soup, butter chicken, and chicken korma, chicken biryani, mango lassi and 3 cokes . This is the exact order and this was clearly written in the notes ( the server only noted the numbers so what you have said is false and also the menus were TIGHTLY SHUT. ). So no — this is not something to be blamed on the person who placed the order. We made it very clear that we were unhappy with the situation, and the customer service provided was both inadequate and disrespectful. When the server brought dishes we never ordered and we calmly explained this, her response was: “So what do you want me to do?” That kind of dismissive attitude strongly implied we weren’t allowed to return the incorrect food. What kind of restaurant refuses to take back a wrong order? To add to the experience, one of my friends was so upset she actually cried. This wasn’t exaggerated — it happened, and we have three witnesses who can confirm it. Just because YOU didn’t see it or acknowledge it , it doesn’t mean that it isn’t true. We were excited to enjoy a peaceful, “homey” meal, but instead felt not only disappointed, but intimidated into accepting food we didn’t order. When it came time to pay, I spoke up in English and was blatantly ignored by the server, who walked away pretending not to understand. I said, “I don’t think it’s acceptable for us to pay for something we didn’t order or even eat.” The items in question were the prawn biryani and garlic naan — both of which we never asked for. To make matters worse, it has since been implied that we lied about what happened — including the fact that my friend cried. That accusation is not only insulting, it’s completely false. Again, we had three other people with us who witnessed everything. We’re not people who usually leave negative reviews. But this experience was so upsetting that we felt a responsibility to speak up. Accusing your customers of fabricating events after a genuinely upsetting experience is completely unacceptable. Why would we lie? If we had a good time, enjoyed the food, and received good service, we wouldn’t be writing this at all.

I had a very bad experience. First, I received items from the menu that I hadn't even mentioned, and I didn't get the dishes I specifically ordered, which were also much cheaper than the incorrect order. My friends and I ordered four different dishes and simply received four portions of rice – one without meat, one with chicken, one with lame, and one with shrimp. They have specific allergy instructions on the front page of the menu. If that's so important to them, why did they bring us food I never mentioned, and why wasn't it taken back? What if I was allergic? What I also noticed and must mention is that I received the entire order within five minutes, which is odd because the portions were quite large. I barely touched the food because it tasted stale. And last but not least, the dishes were very hot, but the food wasn't even warm. If that doesn't confirm my claims, I don't know what will. They charged me everything, even though they admitted their mistake and offered me a €4.50 drink as compensation, which I also declined. The staff were very cold and uncaring. I will never set foot there again. Edit: It's honestly insulting not to even respond to my own review, which was about completely different topics. If you take so much pride in the quality of your food, why was your cutlery hot but your food barely lukewarm? Please address this issue, because I need at least an apology. You are extremely rude and accusatory, especially for a family business.

Very delicious Indian food with authentic spices – the vegetarian dishes are perfectly seasoned and arrive fresh and hot. I particularly liked the dal tadka and the paneer curry – beautifully creamy, well-seasoned, and filling. 🫓🌱 Delivery was fast and reliable. My only criticism: the individual instructions when ordering (e.g., "no coriander" or "mildly spiced") were unfortunately ignored – a shame, there's still room for improvement. Overall, though, a solid vegetarian experience. I'll definitely order again! 🙌

This would have to be among the best Indian restaurants in Frankfurt. If you like a little bit of spice, make sure you order the Lamb Jalfrezi... just delicious. The young couple's story behind running this restaurant also added to the overall experience. Great meal!

I had a great experience. I had a mango lassi that was perfectly creamy and refreshing, the garlic naan was warm and flavorful, and the lamb skewer was tender and well-seasoned. The service was excellent—attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. I’ll definitely be back!

Best Indian Restaurant for Vegetarian Dishes!

Extremely bad customer service! Why do you accept orders when you know you won't be able to do it? Why do you make the customer wait 2.5 hours for the order? Why do people say in phone calls that the order is on the way when it's not true? And don't even make a solution or accommodate.

Mein Mann und ich bestellen sehr oft in diesem Restaurant zum Mitnehmen. Wir haben immer Gerichte mit Reis genommen und einen Aufpreis bezahlt, um Brot mit Knoblauch zu bekommen. Heute erhalten wir unsere Bestellung ohne Reis. Es ist eine Schande, Gerichte in einem solchen Zustand zu verschicken. Und außerdem, wenn ich im Restaurant anrufe, kann niemand Deutsch sprechen. Eine unhöfliche Frau am Telefon, die kaum Englisch spricht, sagt mir, dass wenn man Brot mit Knoblauch nimmt, es statt Reis ist. Trotzdem bestelle ich immer wieder dasselbe und zahle einen Aufpreis, um Brot zu bekommen. Kein Wort der Entschuldigung. Und der Gipfel ist, dass sie sich nach meinem Anruf aus Google zurückgezogen haben, um eine schlechte Bewertung zu vermeiden. Ich werde in ein paar Tagen auch auf google bewerten, seien Sie mir nicht böse. SCHÄNDLICH

Update November 9th, 2024: The lunch buffet - all you can eat - has different dishes every day; two are vegetarian and two with meat. All dishes taste different and are cleverly seasoned. The price is unbeatable at €9.90. Update June 23: Very tasty biryani - fried rice: coriander, roasted onion aromas, juicy chicken on the bone, with a very fresh yoghurt sauce. Everything fell into place. Update May 1st: Of all the delicious things, I discovered a new favorite today: Chicken Jalfrezi - super seasoned and pleasantly spicy. Plus, as always, a huge portion - great value for money. If I could, I would give 6 points. 1st visit March 23 There were three of us there - the food was good. I had Hariyali Chicken Tikka, papadam and there was also naan bread and very fluffy rice. The chicken was very tasty, especially the sauce made from mint, garlic and more. The mint sauce for the papadums was quite lightly seasoned, but the mango chutney was good. The young lady who served us was very friendly and gave very expert information about the dishes and ingredients. A real win for Gallus. Prices are very affordable, even compared to competitors around the corner. So overall, absolute recommendation. 2nd visit at the beginning of April: tried other dishes, everything was great, lamb curry and vegetarian dishes. The sauces for the papadam were also great this time…

I ordered takeaway and the food was ready after 25 minutes, super hot and really tasty. The vegetables looked like they had been cut themselves. I also think the price is completely reasonable compared to other Indian restaurants in Frankfurt.

Very nice Indian restaurant. The selection of food is pretty big and everything we tried tasted amazing. The service was also great, only thing that could be a little bit better is the speed, sometimes it took pretty long for our things to arrive. It was not a big deal, it was worth the wait.

Lunch buffet: 4 warm dishes, rice, fried vegetables, naan, salad, yogurt sauce, additional bread. You feel really welcome here, even with a small child who can spend the waiting time in the playground directly opposite. We can highly recommend butter chicken. The service is always very nice and courteous.

Decent Indian restaurant. The Naan seemed to be the 'frozen' type of Naan. Just taste like the frozen ones which you heat up. The curry and the other dishes were decent though. But since Naan is the basis for me for any good food, I was quite disappointed.

The flavors and spices were true to Indian cuisine, not toned down to cater to non-Indian taste buds, which I really appreciated. The food was incredibly flavorful and tasty, especially the vegetarian dishes, which were extremely mouthwatering. The starters stood out as the highlight of the meal—absolutely delicious! The paneer was fresh and perfectly tender, not chewy at all. The only dish that was just so-so was the chicken main course, but I didn’t mind too much since everything else was superb. Additionally, the feedback I provided on the chicken dish was politely acknowledged, which added points to their excellent service. The young lady coordinating the service was nice and friendly, making the dining experience even more pleasant. Overall, a fantastic experience with authentic Indian flavors. P.S. Looking forward to seeing 'Soya Chaap' added back to the menu.

Disgusting behaviour of the staff and owner.

I went to Chefs Flavour for the first time the other day for their lunch special and was blown away by the entire experience. The food, service, and price are all more than enough reasons to visit! For 8.50 € all you can eat, you really can’t get a better deal. It’s by far the best food I’ve had in Frankfurt during my weeklong stay and I’m already coming back for a second time today.

We are very spoiled when it comes to Indian food - now we have discovered this Indian restaurant that offers really good food. Really authentic, fresh Indian cuisine and totally friendly service are added on top of that.

Open air sitting next to a small garden, Service is also nice and warm ! Overall really good experience ! 1. Chicken 65 - Perfectly marinated fried chicken strips served with lip smacking set of mint, tamarind and green chlili chutneys. 2. Chicken Madras - Nice and spicy marination with succulent chicken pieces with generous quantity. 3. Garlic Naan - Goes really well with above dish. 4. Veg Thali - A friend ordered veg thali..ithe taste was equally good, gulab jamun was outstanding !! 😋 5. Samosa, 6. Mango Lassi - Both were usual good.

We finally managed to discover this specialty restaurant for lunch. It was called a buffet lunch, and that's what we ate. It's not big, but with 4-5 main courses it's a foray into Indian cuisine. Let's come to the most important thing: the taste. And it's really excellent. Beautiful, intense creamy pastes create the feeling of being in India. Plus a lassi... Wonderful. Gladly again

We decided on a lunch buffet. For EUR 8.50 we got an excellently prepared vegetarian Indian specialty that was extremely tasty. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. I will definitely come here again to enjoy other Indian specialties too.

We “came in” shortly before the end of the day and everyone was so incredibly nice and made us delicious dishes to go. To fortify ourselves during the short waiting time, there was an incredibly good mango lassi. Top service!!

Wir besuchten diesen Ort, wenn das Restaurant voll ist (in der Nacht Zeit) und auch besuchte diesen Ort in der Tageszeit, wenn die Menge nicht da ist, aber wir haben nie gesehen, jeden Kompromiss mit Essen oder Geschmack! Der Chefkoch und das Personal werden Ihnen jedes Mal das Beste servieren! Wir sind Vegetarier und bis jetzt haben wir fast alle vegetarischen Gerichte probiert🙈... und glauben Sie mir, sie sind alle köstlich 🤤. Ich möchte mich bei dem Koch bedanken, dass er diesen indischen Geschmack auch zu uns nach Deutschland gebracht hat!

Ich habe noch nie so gutes indisches Essen so nett serviert bekommen. Alles hat einfach fantastisch geschmeckt. Das beste butter chicken aller Zeiten. Die Dips: am liebsten reinlegen :-). Das Lamm, das mein Begleiter als Vorspeise hatte, ein ganz tolles Geschmackserlebnis. Die Bedienung sehr sehr sehr nett. Das Ambiente ist schlicht. Aber das bunte Geschirr peppt es auf. Ganz sicher nicht mein letzter Besuch!

What a gem of a find! This place recently opened near me (I think it was recent) and I went there for lunch the other day. Absolutely delicious and the prices and portions were great. This is now my new lunch hangout.
