Very tasty vegan food with many substitutes. The food was delicious; the substitute meat and shrimp were very realistic in texture, but the taste couldn't compare to the original. If you're looking for something like that, this is a good option, but you can also do without it. The food would have been delicious without it. Definitely something you can try.

I was there for dinner two or three weeks ago. The food arrived quickly, was served piping hot, was a generous portion, tasted great, and was completely reasonable in price. I was a little put off by the demeanor of one of the two employees who served me. She wasn't unfriendly, but she seemed unemotional, didn't smile at me at all, and barely made eye contact. Who knows, maybe she was very exhausted or having a bad day. In any case, it didn't significantly impact the experience. I would definitely go back!

A great Vietnamese restaurant for vegans, but also for non-vegans who want to try the alternatives. The quality is outstanding, as is the selection of dishes; the soups in particular are highly recommended. I really enjoyed the lychee spritzer with it. The prices are also in a reasonable range, and the service is friendly.

So delicious, truly the best vegan restaurant in Würzburg. Everything is fresh and perfectly seasoned. Always happy to go back ❤️

Update 08/2025: second time back in Wurzburg and I love this place. I especially loved the Mi Quang. I’ve been trying to find the same back in Australia or make myself at home! English menu helps a lot as the staff doesn’t speak much English. If you like it really spicy 🌶️ make sure you ask otherwise it’ll be the western level of spice. Good vegan/vegetarian place and friendly service. Nice out door space in the front to eat. Asked to hold the onion but still ended up with some. The dishes I had was good and nothing to complain about.

The best vegetarian restaurant in Würzburg. Everything is just right here. The food is simply delicious and the service is incredibly friendly.

Welcoming atmosphere, 90% vegan food, with a few vegetarian options. The portions are generous and the options are numerous, including gluten-free options. If you don't speak German, it's difficult to understand, but the staff is always smiling. Recommended if you have a big appetite!

While the selection looks promising, the best part is the breading of the vegan chicken and duck alternatives, which, like the dishes we tried, unfortunately don't taste much. It's simply too expensive for bland food, vegan or not.

We're vegetarians and found the restaurant online. We walked past the restaurant the first time because we didn't like the look, but then decided to go in anyway. We sat at the back of the restaurant; everything was pretty bland; a bit of decor would have really helped. But the food is amazing! All fresh ingredients, nothing from a can, beautifully presented, really hot, and delicious! The service is also very friendly. And the value for money is excellent.

Very poor value for money. The food arrived after just 10 minutes, which doesn't indicate it was freshly prepared. Unfortunately, the fried glass noodles weren't cooked at all and had absolutely no taste. The vegetables were obviously not fresh, but rather from the freezer. Overall, unfortunately, it's far too expensive for what you get.

I am absolutely surprised to be served alot of fresh vegetables, mint leaves, and a moderate portion of special Asian noodle. It was incredibly yummy, like an explosion all of kind of authentic taste from Asia. The price is acceptable, i am definitely coming back There is another Asian restaurant a few feet down heading to Müller, but very expensive and the quality was just nah for the price

The restaurant was highly recommended to me, but unfortunately, I wasn't impressed by the service, ambiance, or food. The vegetables were overcooked for my liking, and the flavor left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, there's no reason for me to return.

I've eaten here several times, and each time the service was really bad. One time, when we waited a little longer for someone, the waiter asked us in a very rude tone whether they were even coming and why we hadn't ordered yet, even though we hadn't even received a menu after waiting 20 minutes. The last time, the waiter wasn't ready, despite repeatedly and politely asking if the door could be closed because it was drafty and cold. Each time, they refused, saying a large group was about to arrive. The group did arrive, but the door ended up being open almost the entire time. The food is okay, but too expensive for what you get. I wouldn't go there again.

The service is truly a disaster. The waitress doesn't understand a word, seems rather jaded and unfriendly, and as soon as you ask a question, nothing, absolutely nothing, is understood or answered. She makes ZERO effort to understand; she couldn't care less. After all, it's called "service" in the restaurant industry, which means that at least some form of communication should be possible. In English or German or with Google Translate... whatever... but if a "waiter" couldn't care less whether she understands her guests or not, she should give up on "service" and go to the kitchen instead. There's no need to talk there. So if you lower your expectations of service (even lower than you already have ;)), you could get by here. The prices are anything but cheap, even though they don't serve meat, and the menu is very confusing, chaotic and unstructured. The place itself is... well... functionally furnished. The restrooms are ultra-minimal, but clean. If you don't expect anything here and are just happy about the vegan food, you should get over the visit...I certainly won't be coming back.

I am vegetarian and love Thai cuisine very much☺️ Yesterday I was in this restaurant for the first time - I love it! The menu is large and offers an interesting selection of dishes. You can order a large portion for 15 euros. It's very tasty! You can choose any broth and the side dish is either noodles or rice. I recommend everyone to try it!

The waitress was a very nice Vietnamese lady.. if you ask for spicy, they will make the food spicy which is really good 👍 The summer rolls were my favorite, so unique they put a slice of mango inside the rolls. I am very much appreciating the idea to make it a vegan Asian restaurant, very rare to find. Whole menu is vegan and very tasty.

We didn't want to believe the negative comments about the unfriendly nature. However, we were taught otherwise. The store was completely empty. No hello, nothing… They then wanted to assign us a small table in the corner. When we asked if we could sit somewhere else, the waitress responded with a visibly annoyed eye roll. Dear shop owners, we don't have to give you our money. If customers annoy you then you are in the wrong industry. Too bad...

We were very happy with our visit to this restaurant. The vegan version of the Asian dishes was really good. The vegan chicken was delicious and crispy, and just something different! We had the vegan chicken with rice, vegetables and peanut sauce as well as the udon noodles with vegetables and also vegan chicken. Both dishes were delicious. Our only small criticism would be the homemade iced tea, which was a little too sweet for our taste. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall, we can recommend this restaurant, especially for fans of vegan Asian dishes. We would like to come back.

The food was ok. The vegan chicken is recommended, but the vegan shrimp was completely tasteless. The portions are definitely enough to fill UMTS up. Unfortunately, we think the prices are a bit too expensive for the fact that in the end you only get mediocre Asian/Vietnamese food. And the atmosphere in the restaurant is not particularly appealing. I'm not sure I would come back. Probably not.

We wouldn't recommend it. Spring rolls are the standard frozen ones you can also get in the supermarket. You don't have to go to the restaurant for this...

It's a pure vegetarian restaurant and the meat option is actually only meat flavored. Not bad from the taste. And I was surprised that the honey tea from Vietnam tastes same as the Rooibos.

Even when we make eye contact, there is no greeting or response. Even though I ordered correctly, different food came out. The lady offered me a table right next to the door when I entered. I asked her to be seated somewhere else as I was cold. She gave me a look of disgust and told me to sit somewhere at the back. I found a table by a radiator, which was perfect. The menu is extensive and all veggie. I piked one dish with mushrooms and chillies. The dish was not spicy and I asked for chilli, the waiter took the Sriracha, but before she arrived I said no and asked for fresh chillies. She said no fresh chillies… I’m amazed. A Vietnamese restaurant with no fresh chillies?? Anyway, the ginger tea was very good, although expensive. Maybe I’m spoiled having been to Asia and eaten in other Vietnamese restaurants outside of Germany.

The golden times are over. We have always been huge fans of this restaurant. Unfortunately, a lot has changed for the worse in the last few months. The quality of the food is no longer what it used to be. Everything seems a bit loveless. And the service is also careless: as soon as you walked in, you were looked at unfriendly and asked what you wanted. When you asked for a table in the upper part, you were denied one, even though all but one of the tables upstairs were free. They said everything was occupied. Even when we left, all but two of the tables upstairs were still empty. The menus were dirty and some of the decorations on the windowsill next to us were covered in dust. Next to it were numerous flyers from months long past. When we took the order, the waitress was still visibly annoyed. When I asked for another sauce, she rolled her eyes. There were large, unsightly chunks floating in the milky, cloudy water of the ginger tea; here too, nothing was prepared with love or care. It's a shame, but we can no longer recommend the restaurant. And we were really big fans.

We were traveling with 4 people and a dog. Not only we but also ours were warmly welcomed, there was water and treats for the dog without being asked, everything on the menu was vegan and super tasty. It's a shame we live so far away. But we'll be back!

A restaurant I trust. I love the 29th most delicious and exciting Pho I've ever eaten! I also think the concept that everything is vegan is really strong. It's just a shame that lately when you get the pho to take away, the noodles are cut. But that's only half bad, it tastes just as great.

We should have gotten up at the first red flag and just left, the service was terrible, we were brought to the seat and wanted to go to the toilet, then the rude, hateful, unfriendly question "What do you want?!" This snack doesn't deserve the hype at all. You can get vegetarian/vegan food much better elsewhere. My partner ordered fried noodles with vegetables and couldn't even finish half of it. Tasteless and I won't write the other word here. My food was okay, but the way they were always keeping an eye on us... Like we had done something to them... Very unprofessional. We would never be treated so badly. Never again!

The food was very tasty, an absolute recommendation for anyone who likes vegetarian/vegan Asian food!! I only give 0 stars in the service category because a waitress treated me very rudely and unfriendly (some might even say racist, considering that I'm PoC) when I visited. When I wanted to order a dessert, the waitress came rushing in to angrily ask me what I wanted and when I mixed up the numbers of the desserts, she let out a loud, annoyed snort. This example actually just describes the climax. The whole time it seemed as if she didn't want me in particular in the restaurant. She always behaved politely towards my companion. I don't know what her problem was but because of that I wouldn't make a second visit. I don't know if it was an isolated case (hopefully), but I wouldn't recommend the visit to other PoC people because of that. Or rather, in such a case, the food is not worth the visit.

Food was okay, but nothing special in terms of taste. The toilets were very dirty and not cleaned, which is a no-go for me in a restaurant. UPDATE: We were there again and this time it was much better. Food was good, toilets were clean and the employee who served us was very nice. Probably new management.

Vietnamese coffee is very tasty. The #4 Canh dua and #6 Fried Rolls starters were excellent and I can only recommend them. The presentation of the food is appealing. The service was friendly, but the wrong dish was understood and served and only after asking twice was the correct one brought. We were almost done with the rest. Women's toilet is quite narrow with the door.

Quiet atmosphere, often a bit crowded. The "vegan duck" dishes are to die for, but the rest of the menu is also excellent. Unfortunately, the ice cream for dessert is only vegetarian, not vegan, but often dessert is not even needed because the main courses are generous. Edit a year later: still wonderful. By the way, the Lassis are bomb. Everything actually. Run the place down - everything is really 1A. Take the Carri Vegan Duck if you're overwhelmed by the menu!

.....unfortunately you have slacked off a lot, some dishes are completely different than before....most recently the betel nut rolls that were previously on the menu were only served as seaweed slices and actually as a zucchini plate with rice... .if it stays like this we won't eat there anymore. Prices were also increased and the quality was poorer, which is a shame

Food: was good and tasty. In terms of price, it's on the higher side. Service: slaps the card on the table at the beginning, you don't feel valued as a customer. I've seen better before. Ambiance: it came on and the same techno song played on a continuous loop for at least 15 minutes (the song played for 2). Our request to turn it down was not even addressed. At some point the song was finally changed. Furnishings rather simple.

This restaurant with its extensive vegan menu was an unexpected stroke of luck! The service was very friendly, the food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long.

The food at Chay Viet is without question terrific. The vegan duck and vegan chicken are particularly recommended, the breading is crispy and the side dishes always taste delicious. That's how it should be given the steep prices. It's really very expensive. Which would be okay given the special food, but then you also expect great service. The waitresses have never been particularly nice, but when we were there recently, the way we were treated was not only unfriendly but downright disrespectful. Disparaging looks, eye rolls, annoyed exhalations with every word we said, even though we didn't have any special requests but simply ordered and paid normally (even if we did, that would still be the last thing, for paying so much). Of course we didn't get a goodbye either. If you don't want to let the bad mood of the employees spoil your delicious meal, you should eat somewhere else.
