The food was super delicious and we didn't have to wait long. The waitresses were very friendly and didn't mind dogs either. Great restaurant, highly recommended!

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was served quickly and was delicious. We had spring rolls, monkfish soup, and udon noodles with tofu. The drinks were also very tasty. The fact that the restaurant was fully booked speaks for itself. I think we'll be back during our short visit to Hamburg.

Lovely restaurant. Despite being a regular Monday night, there are a lot of people and the atmosphere is good and loud in a good way. The staff is busy, but they are nice and friendly. The food is top notch and reasonably priced considering the quality.

I've been here twice and I'm an absolute fan! The sushi is incredibly delicious, and the staff is friendly and welcoming.

The food was very, very tasty and the portions were very generous. The restaurant was quite crowded, and therefore quite noisy. I can still highly recommend it. The food is completely vegan and reasonably priced. The drinks, however, are very expensive. I paid about €2.80 for a Coke (0.25L).

The food was amazing! Such wonderful flavors and flavor combinations. I can highly recommend this restaurant - even if you are not vegetarian or vegan. The restaurant is very nice, modern and green decorated with lots of plants. The restaurant is close to the train station, so it is easy to stop by if you are passing through, and they have generous opening hours.

Very tasty food and extremely good homemade lemonades. Pleasant atmosphere. The clientele tends to be younger.

I'm a fan :) Friendly, direct, and very fast service conjures up typical fresh and crisp vegetables, mushrooms, braised tofu, or vegan sushi on your plate. A reasonably priced lunch menu rounds it all off. My personal recommendation is the wok-tossed udon noodles. Delicious!

The tapas were delicious! Enjoyed the spring roll bowl and the udom noodles (even though it was extra oily). Service was prompt and courteous - the staff spoke in English too. As the restaurant was packed even on a Thursday evening, it's always better to have a reservation. Definitely recommended for vegan Asian restaurant!

Today I ordered a summer salad and the udon noodles No. 18 to take away. Both dishes were packaged in a paper bag without a serving napkin. The noodle packaging was so leaky, and the lid didn't stay on the box due to the heat, that all the sauce leaked through the bag and all over my clothes and bag after 5 minutes! Everything was completely covered in sauce! The salad was served without any dressing (although it was stated on the menu). Regarding the taste: All the ingredients in the salad were fresh, but I unfortunately couldn't eat it dry without dressing. The No. 18 with udon noodles consisted of very few vegetables and lots of noodles, which only tasted of fat. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat the dish as it was because all the sauce had leaked out beforehand! And that's very little for just under €14. Unfortunately, I can't share a good experience here.

Actually, a very nice restaurant with friendly staff. The menu is appealing, but unfortunately, everyone in our group's food was completely drenched in soy sauce, so we couldn't taste anything else. What a shame!

Surprisingly delicious! We had crunchy rolls and crispy wontons, happy samosas, and buddha rolls. We'll definitely be back! We were a group of five, and it was very relaxed.

Not impressed with the food, annoyed at the credit card surcharge. Food: main course ‘Pagoda Dream’ was bland and reminded me of the mixed vegetables in an all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurant in San Francisco. Starters were not much better. Surcharge: Paying with a non-EU credit card adds a 3.9% surcharge. Searching for ‘Flatpay surcharge’ reveals that this additional charge needs to be explicitly requested by the ‘merchant’, i.e. the restaurant, and is not standard. This was the only restaurant I experienced with such a surcharge in my one week stay in Hamburg.

The food was truly excellent, very fresh, and served quickly, even though it was very busy. The value for money was also excellent. We lost one star because the background music was unpleasantly loud, and the cleanliness could have been improved in some places.

This was our first ever visit to a vegan restaurant in Hamburg, thanks to a recommendation of our friend. We literally loved it here even though we are not vegan. The service was very quick, the atmosphere and interior design was chic. A special mention for the Happy Samosa because we couldn't get enough of it, should have ordered 2 of them instead of sharing.

A very varied menu, and everything on it sounds delicious! We had an inside-out crunchy roll with the bowl in the photo, which was incredibly creamy. The food came super quickly, the homemade iced teas were also delicious, and the atmosphere in the shop was outstanding.

Surprisingly good – a highlight in Hamburg! During our exhibition in Hamburg, we stumbled upon this vegan Asian restaurant by chance – and were thrilled! The ingredients were super fresh, the dishes lovingly prepared, and the taste was top-notch. The drinks selection was also creative and perfectly complemented the food. We would especially like to highlight the extremely friendly service – attentive, warm, and authentic. We enjoyed it so much that we ate there twice. A real recommendation!

Super pleasant atmosphere and excellent vegan Vietnamese food. I had the Crunchy Golden Balls as an appetizer, which was an 11/10. For my drink, I had the jasmine-lime iced tea, which was at least a 12/10. Sweet but not too sweet, with a super pleasant and distinct jasmine note. For my main course, I had the "Monk Soup," the house's own interpretation of pho, which was also delicious. The prices are unbeatable for the quality of the food. This restaurant is a true gem for lovers of Vietnamese cuisine who value cruelty-free food. 🫶🏼

Delicious food, but a non-transparent surcharge spoils the impression We had a lovely evening at Chay – the homemade wontons were delicious, but the edamame could have used a little oil to better enhance the salt and chili. The udon noodles were delicious, as were the crunchy rolls with avocado. One negative surprise: When paying, an additional fee of €3.30 was charged because we paid with a non-EU corporate credit card – without prior notice. The waitress was friendly but couldn't explain the surcharge. It's a shame, because after an otherwise positive experience, it leaves a bad taste in our mouths.

Everything's vegan. Unbelievable. You can order anything here without hesitation, and it's incredibly delicious and varied...

I appreciated the speed of the service, and even though I was seated at a small table in the corner, I wasn't forgotten. Quite the opposite. There are set menus in the evening between €18 and €20. I also appreciated that there was a selection of mocktails instead of sticking to alcoholic drinks. However, I found there were far too many ice cubes, and I would have liked to have been asked if I wanted some in my drink. The rainy weather didn't justify the drink being so cold, in my opinion. The tasteful decor is also a plus. Be careful, it can get noisy inside. The manager (a woman wearing a white cardigan and vintage-style buttons) was particularly attentive and spoke English quite well. A little pricey, however, for about 15 pieces of sushi, but quite good, I must say.

Nicely decorated restaurant close to the main train station and the city center. It's very easy to get there. There are tables for 2 to 4 people or more. At lunchtime, there's a lunch menu with selected dishes. One dish and one drink from the lunch menu costs €13.90. The portion size is a bit smaller than usual. Of course, you can also order from the regular lunch menu. I had the Golden Bowl and wonton soup. Both were hot, delicious, and pleasantly seasoned. Highly recommended. The staff is friendly and asks if everything was okay or if there are any other requests. I felt comfortable here and would be happy to come back. Please note that card payments are only accepted at the €20 level.

I went there for dinner yesterday on a whim, without any expectations, but I was delighted because I'd seen all the positive reviews beforehand. And I was truly surprised by the warm welcome. After I arrived briefly and made my decision, my food was served, and less than a minute later, my drink was in front of me. The starter didn't take long to arrive. And I was more than thrilled with the main course; the fresh presentation of the main course was simply a 12/10. All of these reviews are completely justified, and I would visit this place again anytime. Even if you're not vegan, you can eat very well here.

I already knew the restaurant from a trip with friends, but when I was here recently with my mother, I was as happy as the first time. I am vegan myself, but my mother is not. I went on a city trip with her in Hamburg and a meal at Chay couldn't be missed. So we went to the well-located restaurant for dinner. I had udon, my mother had a curry with glass noodles. Both tasted excellent and we are still trying to get the taste as good as possible today. She was also convinced and didn't miss anything about the round dish. The homemade drinks are also eye-catchers. Otherwise, I'm always skeptical when restaurants make their own drinks because I often hope for something different. But the thirst quenchers here are really worth it. The portion size is also commendable. Even I, a person who can hardly be full, feel well served here and without any overly large portions. Afterwards you feel fit, fresh and light, ideal for further exploring Hamburg. My tip for both food and drinks is that everyone takes something different. This way you can try things out in a group and capture all the flavors of the cuisine. And don't see the restaurant as a "vegan restaurant", there is something for everyone here, it simply works even if no meat or similar is used. It doesn't always have to be like it's always said anyway ;). Really such a great restaurant, we can hardly stop raving about it.

I'm not vegan, but I often eat vegetarian food. Eggplants were tasty but too spicy. I couldn't eat it. I loved the vegan sushi. The worst is the noise. Very small space for so many people. The tables are so close that you can easily listen to the conversations of your neighbors, of course if you can hear. Before this, music is playing in the institution. The feeling that I visited the school canteen during recess. If you would like to sit quietly and talk, then I do not advise you to do it in the evening.

THE BEST VEGAN RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD! Travelling from London ( home town ) we have plenty of great vegan restaurants but non of it compare to Chay Vegan restaurant in Hamburg. We have visited this place 3 days in a row - just to try it out all the options… every meal is absolutely phenomenal.

We were visiting Hamburg and passed the restaurant by chance. We really liked the ambience so we went to the restaurant. The food was simply fantastic and super tasty, thanks to the staff for this great experience. P.S. If you open a branch in Stuttgart... we will become regulars.
