Chawla's Taste of India in Itzehoe

Order: Half of the dishes were okay. The garlic bread was regular bread. One dish wasn't seasoned at all. The salad dressing was bad, in the sense that it was fermenting.

I order here often and have experimented with ordering here every 1-2 months to see if the food has changed in any way... As a South Asian, I think the food here does Indian cuisine an injustice. Unfortunately, it can't be that tikka masala or butter chicken tastes different every time, and it's unfair that they both taste super similar. It shouldn't be like this. When I order garlic naan, I hope for a flat, intensely flavored bread, not a stiff dough. There's a lack of love and seasoning... Please take this criticism to heart, as I order very often and I still have hope.

That was nothing and had nothing to do with Indian cuisine.

Has nothing in common with Indian cuisine...ready-made sauce that is totally inedible, the meat is partly like a frozen pizza and to make it look better, torfu is added...papadam was the only good thing, but they gave us less than we paid for.

I ordered food—soup, bread, and a rice and chicken dish. I've never been so disappointed by a restaurant order; it was inedible.

I had read some reviews myself and wanted to see if this restaurant was good or bad. So I ordered the butter chicken with the "garlic" naan. To everyone reading this: The butter chicken itself was unfortunately of rather low quality and tasted quite bland (tasteless). There was also far too little sauce. The rice was the typical cheap basmati rice (you can't really go wrong with that... 5/10). What surprised and annoyed me most was their "garlic" naan. Many people had written that it tasted of no garlic at all, and I thought it couldn't be that bad. In the end, my naan tasted of nothing and I was very disappointed. I eat a lot of Indian food, and unfortunately, I have to agree with the other comments that this isn't real Indian food. Of course, this is all nitpicking, but it's to be expected with such a good rating on Lieferando and similar platforms. The service itself was good and straightforward. The atmosphere, however, was very... well... cheap? Ultimately, you go to this restaurant to eat, not to admire the chairs or tables. In conclusion: I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Even if you're craving Indian food, trust me and get a pizza or pasta from the competition instead.

I do not know where to start. Let's start with something positive, the food was ready quickly and the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately I can't say much positive about the food. -The “naan” was without garlic, even though it was ordered that way and even then we are talking about pizza dough from the day before. Not edible. -The Mango Chicken was without mango, so unfortunately we reached for the pineapple can. -The chili chicken was a collection of chicken pieces tossed in ready-made sauce that you would normally find on a pizza. Unfortunately, the Taste of India, let alone anything remotely authentically Indian, was not to be found here. If you're expecting delicious Indian dishes here, you've come to the wrong place

Ordered chicken Biryani, Chicken tikka Masala and Nann. the delivery was faster than it was indicated on the app. the packaging of the food is very neat and clean. on my opinion, the taste were not authentic Indian cuisine, but i could still say that it is not bad and could still improve more.

The order came very quickly! Instead of 60 minutes, we only had to wait 30 minutes for the food! The food was also very satisfying. Had tofu biryani, naan bread, lentil daal and a salad. The delivery service was also very nice! Will definitely order again! 💚

Ordered there yesterday. Food came a little later than expected, but it wasn't too bad. The food still arrived warm. The portions don't look that big, but they are still powerful, so you shouldn't underestimate that. The food was tasty and well prepared. They don't skimp on good ingredients here either; if you order seafood, there's also some included. All in all, you can happily order here again. The food was good and the prices are okay.

Heute zum ersten Mal dort bestellt. Zeitrahmen war dem entsprechend, wie angegeben. Es ist halt Sonntag, da sollte man eh etwas mehr Zeit einplanen. Zum Essen selbst sei gesagt es war das erste Mal indisch, da bleibt man erstmal vorsichtig. Thema scharf oder lieber nicht so. Aber das "Chicken Curry" als auch das "Indian mango chicken" waren echt lecker und die Mundhöhle brennt nicht.😁. Der Preis ist für mich zu den heutigen Bedingungen absolut okay. Fazit: Wer mal was anderes porobieren möchte als das übliche, dem sei "chawla's Taste of India" absolut empfohlen. Man muss sich nur trauen !
