The food was very, very tasty and very attractively prepared. Thank you very much for this. The service was very friendly and helpful. I was a bit irritated by the constant switching between German and English. But that wasn't serious. :) Unfortunately I have to deduct a star for the quantity, as it wasn't at all filling - maybe just put a little more on the plate for over 30 euros :) And one point deducted because it is not suitable for children. Unfortunately there was neither a high chair nor anything to eat that was suitable for children. Highly recommended for Valentine's Day or special evenings :)

The food was authentic, and the quality was top-notch. Although it’s a bit pricey, it’s definitely worth it for a taste of Malaysian cuisine. Just a heads-up: the chicken isn’t halal, but the seafood options are absolutely delicious!

Price performance doesn't match. Unfriendly and inattentive service. Food not great. Shells smelled bad - indicates poor quality. Unnecessary banana leaves as decoration - it is not environmentally friendly. Not even for going with children.

As a fellow malaysian, getting food that reminds me of home was undeniably difficult more so in Germany. But when we heard of Champor, we couldn't help but take our chances over there. First off, the staff especially the owner herself who happened to be a fellow penangite, was very friendly and helpful to us both. She even suggested portions of the food that was deemed suitable for us, which was extremely helpful so as to give us some ideas before ordering. We had roti canai banjir, and ayam percik. The roti canai banjir was savoury, and the curry was perfectly done, really tasted like a homemade curry. The ayam percik was very flavorful, and something that I would personally recommend if you're going there. Perhaps order an extra portion of rice as the rice portion can be small for certain people I suppose. We ended it with a dessert pulut biru with kaya topping (not sure if this was in the menu), but I absolutely love this one as I'm a kaya fan myself. My wife didn't enjoy it as much but that's just a matter of preference. Overall, food was amazing, staff were nice, and would definitely return to try something else!

After long journey, I was craving for a home made cook and got a recommendation to go to champor, wasn’t expecting so high as my friend and i was really tired as well as dragging a bags for our trip. Turned out the food tastes just as a perfect home cook and don’t let me start on the service, it was outstanding. As south east asian origin, i really recommend to take the ayam percik and for those who likes a prawn taste as i do, i also recommend to take the belacan fried rice.

There is really exceptionally good food here! Yes, it is Asian and therefore generally known, but the nuances in the taste are really great! I was there to celebrate my farewell from Munich. And that was a really nice farewell! What better way to start a new life than with fantastic food :) The service team is very attentive and very, very friendly! Yes, it's not cheap, but the quality of the food is worth every penny. You don't do something like that every day and that's why the prices are absolutely right! So if you want to enjoy really special Asian food, then this is your place :) Chapeau Kiren, you have created a very extraordinary place here!

There is also a great ambience, super nice and friendly service and also drinks to enjoy. I recommend taking several starters and sharing them, and do the same with the main courses, every dish is a real treat!! It's a shame I had to drive, I could have had a few more of the Mai Tai.

The foods are superb! Approved by penangites😘 The 3 dishes (Oh chien, chili wonton, Roti banjir) were recommended by tauke and it was really good. Then we ordered rojak mamak and nasi lemak. We were expecting nasi lemak with fried chicken but it was sambal petai chicken (i guess) but it was still delicious.🤤 We had kuih talam too which was also very nice. The tauke is veryyy nice and friendly hehe. Will definitely come again next time🫶🏻

The food is admittedly delicious, but the price is completely overpriced. The starters currently cost as much as the main courses cost a few years ago. I also think it's questionable to charge 4.5 times the price for a bottle of wine as a wine dealer. Lunch dishes, which should be cheaper than evening meals, are still far too expensive.

We were here before our upcoming Malaysia vacation because we wanted to get our taste buds in the mood for the exciting Malaysian cuisine. With great anticipation and curiosity we drove almost 90km to dine here. What can I say... we were thrilled. The food is great, different, real and authentic. Here you get real Asian cuisine from Malaysia, not "European" Asian. Be careful, it's really, really spicy, as advertised on the menu, which I personally very much welcome. The outside area is small, but super cozy and very green and immediately has a total feel-good factor! The boss comes to the table personally and responds to all requests. My partner's allergy to fish and vegetables was also taken seriously and implemented with great care with an extra dish that wasn't even on the menu. All in all, super warm, authentic, cozy and super delicious! Thanks :)

The slightly hidden restaurant, which was founded exactly twenty years ago, offers authentic Malaysian dishes. Everything we ordered like the crispy sesame chili chicken or the chicken on the bone in a coriander-peanut sauce tasted fabulous and is recommendable. Nonetheless you should definitely listen to the members of the crew (incl. the omnipresent lady of the business) becauce their remark 'hot and spicy' really means nothing less than 'hot and spicy' at this place! Harmonic, unspectacular atmosphere with tables in & outside the building! You start best with an exotic cocktail or a Thai beer to enjoy a pleasant night out in Munich's unique provider of Malaysian cuisine! 🌶🧉

I can't remember exactly the name of my meal since I wanted s.th. with a sauce and not too dry, but it was excellent! All meals are made with fresh ingredients and seasoned exquisitely. What really impressed me is the appetizing fragrances in the air when you enter the restaurant - not only very pleasant to one's nose, but also telling you: cooking with fresh food and aromatic elements only. The owner is an extraordinary friendly woman who is taking care of every guest personally and always has time for a little chat. Only downer: The prices are somewhat hyperbolic.

Went with a group of 16 for lunch and the team took care of everything smoothly. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Caramelized chicken was very flavourful from the spices such as cinnamon and anise. Came with rice, wasn't spicy at all which my friends with low spice tolerance enjoyed. It is essentially what's called Ayam Kicap in Malaysia which translates into soy sauce chicken. Rojak Mamak had a good heat and the combination of textures was amazing, not to mention it was surprisingly filling. Unlike the mainstream Rojak Mamak available in Kuala Lumpur with the runny dressing, its dressing was more like a viscous sweet and spicy sauce, very savoury. I assume the soup that came with the lunch was Tom Yum with a Malaysian twist, since Thai food is also deeply integrated into the Malaysian food culture for generations. Packed full of Southeast Asian flavours and very appetizing, spiciness 1-2/10. Lovely environment and impeccable hospitality. Thank you Kiren and Team Champor.

Daher also a la carte im Sprachengewirr. Schade. Bitte verstehen, mit Händen zu essen, gut. Besteck und Plastikstäbchen werden angeboten, gut. Vorspeisen: Gut, Muscheln Street Food, Rind mariniert Street Food, this is not Chinese, we know authentic Chinese! I do what I want with my food that is weight of in gold. Ergo: Vorspeise Muscheln + beef, Hauptspeise Hähnschenkel malaysisch + caramilzed beef, Mange Schorle + Flasche Wasser inkl. Tip 10 eur = 120 Euro Mein Fazit: Nö. I was a bit disappointed. Food was ok, but I was expecting more because of the price. It didn't have the "wuao" effect. It is over-expensive and overrated for Munich. Beer : 7€ Water: 8€. Here I would say that we water tasted like tap water. I don't want to assume this, but for me they fill the bottles with tap water and sell it for 8€. - if it is not, it is one of the worst regular waters I have drunk Starters; ~ 18€ Main dishes ~ 30€ I ordered beef and came with some vegetables, that can be easy the fridge ones from supermarket. As someone who visited his grandmother in Penang every year, I don't want to call myself the highest authority when it comes to Malaysian food, but I know what I enjoyed eating during my time there and how it should taste. I became aware of this restaurant through the website and was prepared to receive authentic food, especially when I read the introduction of the dishes in the menu. I was not prepared for the Roti Canai to take me back to my childhood in the style of Ratatouille. I could explain the small tears in my eyes as the beginning of allergy season, but I couldn't get enough of the food. It made me happy to be transported back to a simpler time when I could visit my family and run with them to the nearest hawker stall to get something to eat (Tapao please) Even though the food sent me back to my family's homeland, the friendly staff always made me feel at home in the restaurant. I'm looking forward to the day when I can eat here again and also be able to introduce my friends to something about my second home.

For me, Champor has always been one of the best Asian restaurants. Each dish had its own flavor and was a palate explosion. That has now changed: Although it is still very good cuisine at a high level, it is no longer so exceptional. In addition, there is a pricing policy that I can no longer understand. Almost all main courses over €30, all starters just under €20. The beer has been constantly increased and is now over €6 for the half. I find it embarrassing. The ambience would be nice, but it's cramped and loud when the store is full and that's just not possible at this price level. Sorry, I'll miss it

Champor is a really great Asian restaurant. Sensational quality, two starters, four different main courses. The evening's discussion concerned value for money. Simple beer for €6.20, all main courses over €30. Would perhaps be acceptable if not all dishes were starter size. We go to restaurants two to three times a week, from good to upscale. But unfortunately it goes too far here. It's a shame, actually.

Yesterday we had our Valentine's dinner here, which was a set menu (with one extra side appetizer). The total bill for 2 people was 250€ (including tip) - none of had any alcohol. Even for Munich standards this is very expensive!!! To be honest the food and the small portions was not worth this price-tag. Unless you have money to burn, I would not recommend this place.

As a Singaporean, eating here was like being back home with the rich flavors of the food. Was blown away with the quality and authenticity of every dish we had. Amazing. Will be going again and would definitely recommend. One of the best restaurants in Munich for sure.

The food is good, but a bit overpriced. We were told the portions were big, but they were actually average. The pancake we had for dessert is recommended for two, but it's actually just one portion. The restaurant itself looks cozy, but the service could be improved: we were asked to order after only a couple of minutes after getting the menu or we had to wait a long time.

Mein Lieblings (asiatisch) malaysisches Restaurant.

P-L-V ist gut in meiner Meinung. as for Malaysians missing food from home, this is a wonderful gem in Munich, otherwise if you're here for a short visit, don't overthink it. Price and services are well rounded, and it's definitely worth dropping by every now and then. -2023

Love it!

We chose Bibulus as a place for a birthday dinner and we were not disappointed. Both the food and wine offerings met our expectations. All dishes were excellently prepared and presented. The portion sizes could perhaps be a little larger, but that's a matter of taste 😀 Pricewise in the upper league, but within the framework of Munich conditions 🤭

Ordered the Phily Cheese 4 weeks ago and I thought it was great. Felt completely different quality today! Bread is a single sponge, the meat is completely fried to death, there is almost nothing else on it other than meat and the whole thing is cold! I'd better not even talk about the fries... Bad experience, wouldn't order from you again

Pleasant stay. Good food at reasonable prices. It's not cheap, but that's hardly anything in Munich anymore. Price performance is good though.
