Good food, also many vegetarian dishes. Not sure about the Hygiene as I had to ask to the waiter to fill the soap bottle just when the Restaurant opened.

I'm no stranger to high-priced restaurants. I am willing to pay a very good price for very good food, very good service and very good ambience. However, Chairs does not meet these criteria, but wants guests to dig deep into their pockets. The food was good and the creation was also quite exciting. I liked it. But the portion was extremely homeopathic. The fact that after eating in one restaurant we had to go to another restaurant to satisfy our hunger - that was a new experience. Ambiance: That's okay. A word about service: Very harsh demeanor. Not rude, but completely impersonal. You didn't feel welcome. There was no greeting from the kitchen (other tables were considered the same), the menu was not explained, there was no recommendation, the empty plates were pulled from the table without a word, and no one asked if we would like dessert. I don't know whether it's just this one employee who has absolutely no business being in service, or whether the entire staff has this dismissive, apathetic and disinterested attitude. We probably didn't look like money, so we weren't interesting as guests and didn't need to be courted. An indictment, because a guest is a guest. Well, it doesn't have to be a second time.

Sensational food in a relaxed atmosphere! I'm always amazed by the culinary conjuring up here - highly recommended

The food was a delightful concoction of inventiveness, playfulness, and scrummy flavors, each dish presenting a surprising combination of texture and taste. The wine pairings were a mixed bag—some harmonious, others less so—but each glass was a pleasure in its own right. What truly distinguished the evening, however, was the service: genuinely affable, free of pretension, and imbued with a warmth that made you feel as though you were being hosted by friends rather than served by staff.

We chose the surprise menu and in our opinion, compared to other good restaurants, the price is very high for what they offer. Also we ordered a bottle of white wine which was bad but they didn't change the bottle for us. Some courses weren't appetizing either. A very sad anniversary.

I only gave it 4 stars for the ambience because the acoustics are a bit loud. Otherwise, please don't change anything. Very good food for a fair price.

Cozy restaurant with a great atmosphere! The dishes all sound a little unusual and taste simply great. Although I really enjoy cooking myself, some combinations would never occur to me. Definitely worth a visit!

A great dinner with friends and colleagues, the menu was a surprise, I had the vegetarian option which was perfect. Others had meat and fish. Food was fantastic and the ambience was great.

Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is not right here. As many have commented here before me: Chairs offers good to very good food, the organic and regional concept is good and the dishes are creative and tasteful, but don't always blow you away. The service and ambience are more on the level of street food than a gourmet restaurant and therefore not entirely appropriate for my taste, especially not for the prices quoted. The bottom line is that Chairs is simply too expensive.

After many recommendations, we made our way to Chairs. Unfortunately we couldn't understand the positive reviews: - The small portions were not particularly well presented, as I would have expected given the prices. - Likewise, the ambience and service were not at the desired level. After our visit to Chairs, we moved to another restaurant with grumbling stomachs.

We had a delicious meal and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We really enjoyed the friendly staff and the great wine pairing.

Bewusst einfacher Gastraum, Kontrast zu dem Speisenniveau. Von den Vorspeisen, Gazpacho manchem zu salzig, über Hauptspeisen, vegetarische ragen heraus, bis Nachspeisen sehr individuell und sehr gut. Für einen gehobenen Anlass etwas zu laut und unruhig, Stühle für mehrere Gänge nur für Hartgesottene, ansonsten hochwertige Speisen zu realistischen Preisen.

Deliberately simple dining room, contrasting with the level of food. From the starters, gazpacho too salty for some, to main courses, vegetarian ones stand out, to desserts very individual and very good. A bit too loud and restless for an upscale event, chairs for several courses only for diehards, otherwise high-quality food at realistic prices.

We were there on March 29, 2024 based on a recommendation. Had zander in chard and the tartare. Not very friendly service. No questions were answered. Explanation about the card is zero. It is assumed that you immediately have an idea of ​​the complicated or very briefly described dishes. Owner totally arrogant. Looks intentional but not accomplished. Wer es laut mag und vermeintlich coolen Service liebt, der ist hier richtig. Was aus der Küche kommt, das ist klasse - atmosphärisch aber nix für mich.

Vegetarian menu leaves nothing to be desired in terms of creativity and taste, expectations were once again exceeded. Very friendly and attentive service. The mix of elegant but down-to-earth at the same time is outstanding. We will be back!

We can't understand why the Chair's kitchen is so highly praised. Sure, the dishes are very creative, aromatic and served attractively. But the portions are more than manageable. Some of the dishes are totally overpriced. The service is reserved, friendly - that's how it should be. The atmosphere is modern, but unfortunately very loud.

I felt REALLY comfortable here two weeks ago. Since I'm not normally a "reviewer", it took me a while until I could bring myself to do it. Outstanding service and wine advice. We had the surprise menu - which I can only warmly recommend to everyone - and were absolutely thrilled. There is SO MUCH LOVE in the food. It was a pleasure to be there and, as a country bumpkin, I'm really looking forward to the next visit. THANK YOU to the entire team at Chairs for a great evening. Kind regards from Aschaffenburg.

We had a very nice time at Chairs. The ambient was comfy and cozy while keeping an elegant vibe. The team was also very professional: a special shoutout to Ilea and Sebastian, who were both amazing. The food was very well prepared, but lacked a kick and was overall a little plain. Price to quality ratio is somewhat high but understandable. In general, it was a good experience! Keep it up :)

Located in an inconspicuous corner house in Bornheim, the name says it all - a colorful smorgasbord of chairs, basic chic furnishings and a larger room, as well as a small "piano room" welcome the guests. Mixed audience, no fancy dress, all age groups - you can save yourself having to dress up ;) A clear menu with 3 small things to start with, 3 starters, 4 main courses and 3 desserts. Everything organic, everything fresh, everything regional - everything processed in a much more sophisticated way than the name on the menu suggests. Tip: always have someone explain what the dish actually is - because egg/potatoes sounds like farmer's bread, but it's much cooler and of higher quality! Ask...don't be shy! Nice service, everything was well explained. Due to the small selection and coordinated dishes, requests for changes can - understandably - only be addressed to a limited extent. But it was done to avoid allergies. Thanks! Unfortunately, a little something we ordered didn't come beforehand, but only after the starter. A drink only came after the second request. Nothing bad, but you want to list everything... Btw the sourdough bread is awesome! So far the only competitor to my "reference bread" from the PANKRATZ restaurant in 55129 Hechtsheim. The ham was also great, I liked the smoked one best. Starter was awesome (sturgeon/radish), light, crunchy, fresh, sour. 100 points. Main course (surf/turf) was (very) good, nice smoky aroma. However, I would have liked a little more freshness. But it's far from possible to complain! Dessert with blood orange sorbet and pieces was great again, nice and fresh, bitter, sour... wonderful. Absolutely reasonable in price, with 2x small things first, 2x starter/main course/dessert, 3x long drink, 2x wine (open 0.1l between 8-9€) only 208€. I've seen that much more expensive, very fitting! We will definitely come back again!! ...however, my PANKRATZ reference is still unsurpassed. PS: there is a public underground station directly opposite for parking - you can rarely park so perfectly during dinner in Frankfurt/Main!

The 4th of us were there in January and chose the surprise menu. Food was really good and tasty. Very nice combinations. We had pregnant women with us and all questions could be answered. Unfortunately the fish wasn't cooked through as desired. Only two versions with tonic were offered as non-alcoholic drinks, which is not possible for pregnant women. But there was quickly an alternative. So a lot of effort was made. There was a bit of a draft at our place and it was rather cool in the restaurant. Facility was nice. I found it unpleasant that one of the first interactions was the note that we only have the table until x time. The first courses were very rushed. In the end, the aisles were slow and we wouldn't have been able to leave "on time". But it didn't seem to be a problem at that point.

Loved the place! Don't know about the comments below, both of us left full with a really good felling inside. Staff is absolutely nice. Interior is yes, simple and not very pretentious but that's what I liked the most. Easy and delicious.

Really great, creative cuisine, outstanding service (especially sommelier Sebastian). However, you have to be careful with a certain amount of narrowness and volume, but a somewhat rustic, desert atmosphere is also part of the experience

Ich war hier schon öfter essen, und jedesmal hat sich die Küche wieder weiter entwickelt. Eine Explosion intensiver, ausgefallener und interessanter Aromen.

Was soll man sagen, erlebt es selbst. Es ist der Wahnsinn. Super Weinkarte, Super Service, Super essen

Wir waren im Chairs und haben das große Menü samt einer Flasche Champagner bestellt. Die Kellnerin war extrem freundlich und hat uns immer fleißig das Glas nach gefüllt. Das war leider mit der Flasche Champagner der Highlight des Abends. Die Vorspeise war ein Stück Gebäck mit Beef Tartar, was leider geschmacklich an einer dieser mini TK-Pizzen erinnert hat. Zwischen dem ersten und letzten Gang vergingen meist 45 Minuten Wartezeit. Ich wäre am liebsten zwischen durch zu einem Kiosk gegangen um mir einen Snack zu holen. Einer der zwei Hauptspeisen war eine halbe Tomate in Tomatensauce. Kreativ; aber für das Geld hatte ich mehr erwartet. Die Hauptspeisen allgemein waren nichts wofür ich nochmal kommen würde. Das Dessert und der Gruß aus der Küche haben den Abend dann gerade so wieder gut gemacht, jedoch werde ich für knapp 200 EUR lieber wo anders gehoben essen gehen.

Mein absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant in Frankfurt! Wir wurden bei keinem Gang jemals enttäuscht. Es ist einfach genial wie die Küche mit den Produkten umgeht. Kann meinen nächsten Besuch kaum abwarten! 🫶🏼

Ich war vor etwa einem Jahr und heute im Chairs. Vor einem Jahr war alles nice, 5 Sterne. Heute war das Essen auch größtenteils gut, der Service allerdings nur mäßig. Essen: richtig gut, bis auf die Aubergine. Ich war begeistert von der Konsistenz der Aubergine und wie sie gebacken war (nicht so labbrig wie man es sonst häufig bekommt), allerdings hat ein bisschen Würze gefehlt. Es war ein bisschen fad und etwas Salz hätte geholfen. Da ich keinen Fisch esse, gab es für mich eine Fleisch Alternative, mit einem Medium rare Steak, was, kombiniert mit dem Tartar zuvor, ziemlich viel rohes bis semi rohes Fleisch hintereinander war. Zum Service: An sich gut, allerdings hatte eine der beiden Bedienungen offensichtlich keinen Bock. Die Teller wurden lustlos auf den Tisch geworfen, ein Teller ist beim Abräumen auf meinen Kumpel gefallen, ein weiteres Mal wurde der Sekt meines Kumpels auf mich geschüttet. Alles von der selben Kellnerin. Die Dame sollte sich fragen, ob sie den richtigen Job hat. Der Rest des a Personals war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Weiterhin wurden wir ein Mal gemaßregelt, dass wir zu laut seien. Ich möchte nicht abstreiten, dass wir in manchen Momenten mit zu den lautesten im Lokal gehörten, aber sicherlich nicht kontinuierlich und auch nicht substantiell lauter als andere. Es ist insgesamt recht laut im Chairs. Alles in allem ein guter Besuch, mit ein paar Vorkommnissen, die, insb. bei den aufgerufenen Preisen, nicht sein müssen.

What a great place for eating German fusion food! Feels like a farm to table. Very unique dishes, full of flavor, and style. We took the 4 course tasting menu, which is basically like 7 fishes haha great service, really recommend!!

Ich glaube es kann auch besser sein, aber heute war es eher enttäuschend. Wir hatten ein Überraschungs-4-Gänge-Menü, was wirklich üppig und schön anzusehen war. Ich bin wirklich nicht wählerisch und dennoch waren es wirklich keine guten einzelnen ,,Gerichte" für mich. An allen Ecken und Kanten hat es geschmacklich bei mir gefehlt - und das bei 80€ pro Person (nur für das Essen). Die Servicekräfte waren alle an sich sehr nett/höflich, allerdings sehr unaufmerksam (man saß immer ewig vor seinen leeren Gläsern, bis sie einen bemerkten). Ein anderes Mal wäre es bestimmt besser gewesen. Allerdings werden wir wahrscheinlich nicht wieder kommen :)

Das Chairs, ohnehin eine der Lieblingsadressen in Frankfurt, war vielleicht noch nie so gut wie derzeit. Dennis Aukili in der Küche und Jacopo Cinetto im Service (unterstützt durch ihre jeweiligen Teams) verstehen es meisterhaft, den Abend zu einem echten Erlebnis zu gestalten. Man sollte der Empfehlung, das fair kalkulierte Menü zu wählen, unbedingt folgen, um die ganze Bandbreite dieser nicht dogmatisch regional orientierten, nachhaltigen Küche zu genießen! Mein Highlight an diesem Abend der wunderbare Saibling mit Zucchiniblüte. Tolle Weine runden einen großartigen Gesamteindruck ab, weiter so!

Great food - always something new, something exciting. We know this restaurant since several years and it keeps reinventing the menu. Lovely!

One of the best dinners I’ve had in Frankfurt. Ambience and cool and relaxed, service is friendly and knowledgeable, food is modern, fresh and creative. From just a simple tomato to a smoked pork with beetroots and berries, everything was spot on. The sourdough ice cream was delicious too.

Sind heute das erste mal hier gewesen. Wollten spontan was essen und geben gerne Geld aus dafür. Aber leider haben wir nur eine Vorspeise gegessen und sind dann gegangen. Die Karte ist für uns nicht verständlich und man erwartet etwas anderes laut beschreiben. Das was wir gegessen haben war geschmacklich nicht schlecht aber hat uns auch nicht umgehauen , Vor allem wenn man was anderes erwartet. Wir wollten wir noch eine Hauptspeise bestellen aber wo wir am Tisch nebenan geschaut haben, ist uns sofort klar geworden das es für uns nix ist. Wir finden persönlich ist der Preis für das was geboten wird auch nicht gerechtfertigt. Wünschen dem Lokal trotzdem weiterhin viel Besuch .

Meine Familie und ich kommen hier aller zwei Monate hin, bestellen die Karte runter und sind nur am Staunen und nie enttäuscht! Wir kommen so, so gerne! Empfehlung: Gerichte in die Mitte und teilen!

Das Chairs ist wirklich einen Besuch wert. Das Restaurant ist zwanglos. Der Service ist gut und es wird ein lockerer Umgang gepflegt. Das Essen ist wirklich richtig gut und gemessen an der Qualität günstig.

From the outside this place looks like a bar/pub (it is also what the sign is saying when you enter via the broken door with grafiti). We were welcomed by an enthousiastic & young crew. The place was fully packed as it is Saturday. The food is sublime and with a quite innovative flavour palette. The kitchen is mainly plantbased but let that not freak you out 😀 On the menu are dishes like Tomato Steak and Potato rösti but dont be fooled : you will get complex layered flavours. Good wine list with (mainly) natural/biodynamic wines. To the Chairs Team: i am a fan. Keep up the good work and keep smiling!

Habibis, geht ins Chairs. Neun von zehn Mal werdet ihr hier einen guten Abend haben. Zwei Mal davon einen sensationellen. Es ist immer überraschend. Es ist gastfreundlich und im besten Sinne leger. Es hat ein überzeugendes kulinarisches Konzept, ohne verkopft zu sein. Nehmt das Menü und lieber eine (bzw. mehrere) Flaschen als etwas Offenes.

Überbewertet und für die gelieferte Leistung zu teuer. Brot mit Butter €5 Pfifferlinge mit Ei €15 4 Stangen Spargel und Brunnenkresseblüten €25 Optisch nett angerichtet, geschmacklich ohne Akzente.

Irgendwie war's früher besser. Man möchte etwas besonders sein (gerade bei den Preisen) aber einige Dinge sind einfach nicht stimmig... Die Terrasse ist OK, aber nichts besonderes. Vorspeise (Rote Beete mit Erdbeer) für 15€ einfach übertrieben teuer. Hauptspeise (Forelle auf einen halben Spargel) war geschmacklich gut, die Sauce war auch lecker aber das Auge isst leider mit und es sah nicht gut aus. In Summe war's OK, haben auch ein schönen Abend gehabt aber für den Preis ist es gerade so befriedigend daher nur 3 Sterne

Service freundlich bis unterwürfig. Das Brot eine Sensation. Die Hauptspeise (Hähnchen) überwürzt. Viel zu viele Raucharomen, zu trocken. Und alles in allem viel zu teuer.

Geschmacklich ein absoluter Genuss, unabhängig ob Vorspeise, Hauptgang oder Dessert. Das Restaurant spielt allerdings auch in der höheren Preiskategorie. Man sollte nicht mit Hunger dieses Restaurant besuchen. Ich empfand die Portionen als zu klein. Um ein halbwegs Sättigungsgefühl zu erzielen, brauchte ich schon 3 Gänge. Selbst dann, naja lassen wir das mal. Das Restaurant ist von der Einrichtung akzeptabel und gemütlich. Wir sassen in einem Nebenraum, dort war es von der Lautstärke i.O.. Im Hauptraum wäre es mir persönlich wahrscheinlich zu laut gewesen. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und kompetent. Fazit: Ein Geschmackserlebnis, dass sich aber auch im Preis wiederspiegelt. Ein Stern wird abgezogen, da die Portionen wirklich etwas größer sein könnten.

Wir haben hier am 11.02.2023 hervorragend gegessen. Außergewöhnliche vegetarische Gerichte, Fleisch und Fisch ebenso Top-Qualität. Fast schon sterne-verdächtig. Sehr netter Service.
