We had a lot of laughs with friends, but in three hours someone only asked once if I could bring something else 😂😂😂 good for sales.

The new owner has a fantastic new menu with such delicious food, all fresh and beautifully presented! It's always worth eating there! Keep it up, Central will be number 1 in Hanau.

The waitress was very friendly. The restaurant's decor is quite worn in places. The acoustics are very poor. Everything is very loud, making conversation difficult. The beer was flat. The salad was unwashed, very sandy, and had very little dressing. The so-called sourdough bread was dry, toasted yeast bread. The burgers were tasty. The baked potato tasted good, although it looked difficult to eat on paper. The baked potato with chicken had exactly two cubes of chicken in the topping. There could have been a bit more. The drinks are very expensive.

Went to Central for breakfast today. The whole family was there. And everyone, from grandson to grandpa, was happy and satisfied. The food was delicious and looked great too. We'll definitely be back soon.

We went there for Christmas brunch. The food was okay, but I would have preferred something different for Christmas (something more festive). At €28.90 per person, I found it quite expensive. The buffet was rather disorganized. Desserts were scattered among the breakfast and main courses. You had to hunt for your cutlery and plates... Now for the positive... The staff were very friendly and attentive. Otherwise, I would have given it fewer stars.

I ordered a burger and bit into it two or three times. I noticed the meat was raw and politely pointed it out to the waitress, ordering a new one at the same time. At the end, I noticed I was being charged for the burger. I wanted to be sure, so I politely asked, and her response was that I had eaten half the burger (which wasn't true). My first and last visit. No understanding or goodwill toward customers. I've never experienced anything like it anywhere else.

The food has gotten much better again. The service has always been great.

We actually wanted to have brunch. When we arrived, we discovered that they no longer serve brunch. The breakfast menu is different from the one on the internet. You can choose between bread, bread and bread is called brown bread, briroche, and French toast. Brioche with egg is now served with beef bacon (you don't even have the option to order pork bacon, which is no longer available because the new boss doesn't want to serve pork). Stomach cramps and nausea after 'breakfast' for two out of two people are no compliment to the kitchen either. Service was very friendly and pleasant. This was my last visit to the Central, where I eat. For coffee, cake, and soft drinks, it might be good.

Waited more than 15 minutes for service at the table. "Caipirinha" wasn't even an imitation—something bitter lemon-like, spread over whole ice cubes and a slice of lime (!). Almost 10 euros for that is ambitious. That leaves little room for recommendations.

Outdoor seating is worn and worn, etc. Food and drinks are too expensive.

I've always been a fan of Central and loved it every hour. I always thought it was wonderful, especially for breakfast! However, I have to admit, the new breakfast menu is just a little too crazy for me. The dishes are delicious, no question, but I miss the old menu a bit. The kids were also a bit disappointed; the sandwich we ordered was a thick, fancy sandwich. For us, the conclusion is that breakfast at Central is unfortunately out.

Unfortunately, I have to correct my review from 8 years ago after today's visit. After the change of ownership, not much remains of the former confidence and professionalism. Overpriced frozen cake for €4.50 a slice, waiters who are (to put it mildly) unperturbed, and then the refusal to accept a gift voucher that's only a few months old. The customer is supposedly supposed to get the money back from the former manager. The legal situation is actually quite clear. Anyone who takes over a restaurant and keeps the name "Central" as it is takes over not only the inventory but also all liabilities, including vouchers from loyal customers. Why doesn't the new owner settle accounts directly with the old owner and pass the costs on to the customer? Forgotten a glass of water. Then the card reader supposedly doesn't work. The new owner can be happy that the shop is in such a prominent location.

A lot has changed for the worse compared to the past. We were there on a Sunday around 12 p.m. There were hardly any customers. So it was practically empty. We paid over €20 for three lattes and a cappuccino. After reading the breakfast menu, we lost our appetite. Neither for the newfangled dishes on offer nor for the high prices. Despite the nice weather, the roof terrace was closed. Thanks for the long-ago wonderful hours there with a good brunch and delicious cocktails. The crowd was great too, and the place was always packed. But those days are probably over... What a shame...

Can you eat a good breakfast there?

In the midday heat, I was able to find a nice, shady spot at one of the many free tables outside the café. The service was excellent, the waitress very friendly, and the food (stuffed baked potato - see photo) was as delicious as it looked. The value for money is excellent, and the restaurant is highly recommended! I was absolutely satisfied. The chairs could be a little more comfortable.

It's a shame that participants are not allowed to use the toilets here during the inclusion/state sports festival.

The fellas and myself loved the place. Reasonable prices, excellent food, customer service was on point and the atmosphere was just right. I'd like to go back. We will, later this month. I recommend that you take some time out and see for yourself.

For 20 minutes there wasn't a single waitress walking around outside. There are no customers in the store itself, but there are 3 employees sipping their cocktails. We first called the store and heard the doorbell ringing outside. Nobody answered, then the voicemail came. When we went inside to look for service, we found three relaxed employees. Just one. “The colleague is coming soon,” but we just stood there and didn’t really do anything… so we left the store. The deep fryer is always broken but certain types of fries still work?! The store used to be really good years ago, but it gets worse with every visit. Goes to Losteria in 5 minutes, 7 employees have already served us and brought us our drinks that we ordered 1 minute ago. The utilization at Losteria is also higher in relation to Central in terms of customers. But here you still feel seen and heard.

Had an avocado and a favorite burger, both were very tasty and came quickly. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Always happy again.

For the price, there was far too little food. We were both still hungry afterward and paid almost 20 euros. The bacon tasted very burnt. The other food was served on cheap toast. For the price, we expected more from the food.

On 🍔 Burger Day (all burgers for 8.90 euros) we had a good meal there 😊👍🏻 All side dishes cost extra. The portions of fries could be larger 😅 In summer it's nice to sit outside on the market square.

We had reserved a table online for 5:30 p.m. (Sunday) and also received confirmation. When we arrived at the restaurant, the waiter said that on Sundays the kitchen would close at 5 p.m. and that we could only have a drink. No information about this on the homepage. Since we didn't provide a phone number when making the reservation, they apparently couldn't reach us. However, the email address was stored. Then we left again. Very annoying!

We noticed that the waitresses seemed rather unhappy, especially the blonde lady with the glasses. Unfortunately, that spoiled the atmosphere a bit.

Hier sollte man definitiv reservieren. Wir waren zum Burgertag da. Es gab eine große Auswahl an Getränken und Burger darunter auch vegane Varianten und mit Hühnchenbrust. Trotz das es nicht komplett voll war, haben wir 45min auf das Essen gewartet und es war relativ laut. Man kann auch auf dem Rooftop oder draußen sitzen. Das Essen war sehr gut und der Service wirklich sehr freundlich. Es ist kinderfreundlich und barrierefrei. Die Toiletten könnten etwas sauberer sein. Bin hier trotzdem sehr zufrieden und komme gern wieder.

The Bar Central in Hanau is a real insider tip! Or not. The breakfast menu definitely offers a great selection, and the espresso and coffee specialties are outstanding. The staff is friendly and attentive, so you feel completely comfortable. The bright rooms create a pleasant atmosphere in which you can have a good time. Next time I visit I will definitely try one of the burgers which came highly recommended to me. I'm looking forward to it! Absolutely recommended for a leisurely breakfast or a relaxing coffee!

Unfortunately, my experience at Central was mediocre. A coffee and a mocktail were ordered. We got coffee and a cocktail. I'm just glad that I noticed this after the first sip. The service did everything right and communicated this to the bartender. For whatever reason, she ended up adding rum. The waiters apologized several times for this, even though I would have preferred to receive this apology directly from the bartender. I ordered a Virgin Colada and I'm sure that when I drank it, not everyone would have immediately noticed that it incorrectly contained alcohol, as the mocktail is very sweet. If this had happened, for example, to a pregnant woman who hadn't noticed it, the consequences would have been serious. That's why something like this should never happen. As compensation, I got the next drink on the house, but of course I didn't opt ​​for a mocktail again. The service was first class! But to all bartenders: listen carefully and please bring out what was actually ordered and, if necessary, simply ask.

Today opposite in Central, with delicious burgers and fries, everything is good here, fair prices, huge burgers and a beer. In the sunny beer garden you can watch what people are doing and linger. Super nice service, thank you 🙏🏿

Bar in the center of Hanau. We stopped to get something. But we were not very happy. The menu was not rich in things but there were few things to choose from. The waitress did not give us time to order because she came right away. The prices were high and I did not like the taste of the drink at all.

Food was good, but a bit overpriced. The cleanliness and smell in the toilets could be worked on... smells like the train station.

Unfortunately my visit to this restaurant was very disappointing. The price-performance ratio was not at all consistent. My main course, a chicken burger, was still raw inside and therefore inedible. Additionally, the waitress described the fries as if they were included in the price of the burger, but they ended up being charged extra. The toilets also had an extremely strong smell, which made the entire experience even more unpleasant. Overall, the food was not only expensive but also of poor quality. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Having breakfast or Sunday brunch at Central is always a treat. Great selection of fresh, delicious food. Due to the great location, you can then stroll through the weekly market or do a little shopping in the city.

Been there for the first and last time in the last few days. A burger for 14 euros without any side dish, with a ready-made bun. Fries just under 6 euros. The Moscow Mule had nothing to do with the cocktail of the same name and tasted like lemon juice with a sip of ginger beer. Couldn't drink it.

We were looking forward to a great evening today (June 19th) as part of the public viewing. Drinks and food were tasty and the atmosphere was great. Unfortunately, this feeling of exhilaration was dashed with the payment. We watched the opening game (Germany against Scotland) on June 14th, 2024 in Café Central. Unfortunately I have to report that we didn't like it at all, the staff and the TV broadcast were just rubbish. At first it was said that there were indoor and outdoor transmissions, when we arrived at Central there were only 3 indoor transmissions and one of them was 30 seconds earlier than the other 2 transmissions. After the first half, the television was simply switched off with 30 seconds left and we had to turn around and watch the game on another television from behind in the corner. The drinks were picked up by the staff at the beginning of the game and were brought around the 30th minute of the game (there wasn't much going on in the location). There were 2 waitresses. With a game like this you would have to assume more customers and also plan for more staff. In addition, charging an entrance fee of €5 for such quality of television is a real impudence!!! We will definitely avoid this restaurant during the European Championships!!!
