We had a delicious meal here one weeknight with five people. We particularly enjoyed the appetizingly presented and perfectly prepared various specialty dishes, as well as the cozy atmosphere. It's also important to mention that we were also impressed by the very reasonable prices for the food. All in all, a truly successful restaurant visit, one we will definitely repeat! Don't order pizza for take away, it will take 1 hour and 30 min while nobody will communicate upfront.

Our reservation was canceled because the evening was apparently overbooked, which is very disappointing! Please improve the organization and planning!

Yesterday I was a guest at Bar Catalonia for a birthday party. What can I say? It was a perfect evening in a fantastic location. The service was super friendly and prompt! The drinks, especially the cocktails, were fantastic. The freshly prepared tapas deserve special mention; they're worth a visit for themselves. Keep up the good work, we'll be back!

Yesterday I went to a fantastic party for Chris's 50th birthday at the Catalonia Zülpich. It was superbly organized. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and there were no long waits, despite the large number of birthday guests. 👍

We had dinner there with friends one Thursday, thanks to acquaintances and reviews. It was cocktail night (€4 each). The tapas were all truly delicious and good. From the scampi to the squid rings, everything was perfectly cooked. The service was very friendly, but mostly only responded to the table bell. Thumbs up, we'll be back.

The starter didn't arrive until a one-hour wait, and the main course came after an hour and a half. It's a pleasant place in itself, but the wait is really long.

The server was very nice and the drinks came quickly. However, we had to wait a very, very long time for our food. The tapas were okay but nothing special. The salad was good, and so was the steak.

We stumbled upon this restaurant yesterday quite spontaneously. The food was excellent and we left feeling very excited. We will be back!!! The staff was very friendly, even though the place was busy. It's nice to know there are still people who enjoy this profession.

The service was friendly and the food was truly delicious, offering excellent value for money. Unfortunately, the time management was very poor: the starter was forgotten, and the main course arrived immediately instead – but only after 45 minutes and only upon request. Instead of the chili mayo we ordered, we were served regular fries, and fries were also only served upon request. A salad arrived after just 15 minutes, meaning one person at the table had to leave much earlier. In total, we sat for 1.5 hours without a proper meal. Our criticism was met with the simple comment that the small kitchen made such waits "normal." The greeting from the kitchen was nice, but it's useless when there's almost an hour between it and the next meal. Conclusion: Friendly staff and good food, but the flow and time management urgently need improvement.

As always, extremely satisfied. We've been to Catalonia several times now and have never been disappointed. The food arrived quickly and, as always, tasted wonderful. Dear people who like to complain about the supposed wait time here, this isn't a fast-food restaurant. A steak and tapas take their time. What matters is the quality and taste, and we're convinced of that and have never been disappointed. From and 5 stars

Great service. Really friendly. The food was excellent. I had a Pinsa Romana and it was delicious. The bread with the garlic sauce, was truly a delight and the ambiance with the music was very nice.

We often go to Catalonia together, just the two of us, for a relaxed cocktail and delicious tapas. Yesterday, we were there with six people. Despite a full house, including two larger parties, and a lack of staff, we received excellent service. The food took a while, but we were informed of this. The service was still very friendly at 1:00 a.m. We will definitely be back again. .

We can't understand the good reviews. The menu is completely wrong! The service is so slow and forgetful that you almost die of thirst. This was our first and last time there.

Today was our first time there with five people. We each had six tapas, making a total of 30, and not a single one of them impressed us. The quality of the food was abysmally poor, and some of the tapas even had ingredients other than those listed on the menu. Instead of chorizo, we were served sucuk 🤨 The prawns in garlic oil had everything in them except garlic 🧐 Three of my six tapas came with a tasteless tomato sauce. The chili con carne was cold and tasted like it came from a can of Erasco. Goat cheese with almonds and honey had no almonds, but did have hazelnuts 😔 We didn't have any cutlery to begin with, had to ask several times for salt and pepper, and for a bowl of aioli. My second cocktail still hadn't arrived after 20 minutes. None of us understand the good reviews. The tapas have nothing to do with tapas, which is a real shame. After asking several times about the chorizo, we were finally told that it was actually sucuk, an absolute no-go.

Very tasty food, especially the tapas and pasta dishes. The steak on the stone with the side dishes is highly recommended. The service is very friendly.

It's a great experience to be able to discover a different kind of pizza, the pinsa. It's a restaurant specializing in Mediterranean cuisine.

After the food always arrived very late on our previous visits, things were worse this time. At many tables, food or drinks arrived much too late, or, as was the case with us, didn't arrive at all – the guests waited in vain. After waiting for over two hours, we (and others) finally left the restaurant disappointed and went to a pizzeria because we were so hungry. The waitress was understanding and understood our disappointment. But we won't be back.

We were just there to celebrate my birthday with a culinary treat. The wait of almost an hour is perfectly acceptable given the busy place. The server was friendly and looked after us well. The food was outstanding, the steaks cooked to perfection. We also found the tapas very tasty. Unfortunately, the table was almost too small for everything. Definitely 5 stars, and we will definitely come back.

Hello We were there today with a larger group. Unfortunately, the service took a long time. They were very understaffed but very friendly. There was another large group there who were so loud that we couldn't hear each other at all. The food was delicious, but waiting almost two hours for it is simply too long. It was full, of course, but I think you should let the guests know that it will take so long.

Due to a power outage, we had to wait two hours for our food. The chef and staff were super friendly and served free drinks. The food was great.

Best restaurant in Zülpich! I've been a customer since day one. I've never been disappointed with the taste or the service. We held our Christmas party there recently, and my colleagues were also impressed. The steak is highly recommended, along with the white Ribera, a must-try tonight 👌🏻

We've always enjoyed the Catalonia and have often recommended it to others. But unfortunately, a few things went wrong during our visit tonight. We generally understand full tables and sometimes longer wait times, especially when it's busy – but when quiet comments about lukewarm food and a wait of almost two hours are met with such a rude response, it's simply disappointing. The owner's response was: "You can see what's going on here – if it's taking too long for you, then go to McDonald's." You felt more like a nuisance than a welcome guest. That's not how you treat paying customers. It's a shame about the cocktails – but we won't be coming back and won't be recommending the restaurant to anyone. A look at the other tables and now at the current reviews of the evening shows that, unfortunately, we weren't alone in this experience.

We had the rump steak and the hamburger and were more than satisfied. The value for money is excellent. Everything was very well presented, the staff was creative, and it was a successful and enjoyable evening!

On a friend's recommendation, we decided to eat there. After initial excitement, I thought I was starving... We waited over an hour for our food (the restaurant wasn't even half full). It wasn't brought until we asked for it 🤐 My friend got her food, but unfortunately, no cutlery. We asked/pressed for service several times, but no one came. In the end, she ate with her fingers. But the cocktails were good 👍

The food tastes really fresh and delicious. There's a wide selection of tapas and dishes. The service often seems distracted. When we were there, the whole conversation revolved around a puppy. Even though we obviously wanted to pay, we were barely noticed. Tip: 6 tapas and 2 cocktails are perfectly sufficient for 2 people.

Very good food. Especially the tapas and the steak are excellent. The prices are reasonably good and the atmosphere is good. You just need to allow for a little more time, as it can take more than an hour for the food to arrive.

Food and service were very good.😊 The patio doors to the front of the outside seating area were open. Unfortunately, this not only brought fresh air but also cigarette smoke into the restaurant. Bad for asthmatics 😢, maybe ask for a table in the back corner.

Looking for a good paella. Our 4th restaurant, we reserved a table for 4 people. We pre-ordered a paella with seafood and one with chicken. The day before, we discussed the process again by phone so that the kitchen had the information that we would like to eat tappas in advance. We got there early and ordered tappas. The restaurant was only occupied by a few guests at the time. Our first order of tappas took almost 30 minutes until we had it at the table and could enjoy it. Really tasty and we were really looking forward to the paella. Which was then brought by the waiter after a while. He placed the pans on the table without any stands. We were surprised because such a hot pan is not good for the wood. But we quickly realized that the paella wasn't even lukewarm... We called the waiter to complain about the paella. He was amazed and took her back to the kitchen. The restaurant was now well filled. After a while he came back with the pans and a wooden board underneath to bring us the now warm paella. Yes, she was warm, but that didn't last long. The pans had probably been briefly put in the oven with the fresh lemon pieces on them..... Unfortunately they weren't heated properly. In terms of taste, the tappas were worlds better than the paella. The seafood one was mostly mussels. Spices and vegetables were missing. It's kind of a shame. Not a single syllable was apologized or anything was done about it. It can happen, despite the fact that we have done everything we can to support it. When asked before the payment process whether we were satisfied, we said we weren't except for the Tappas. No response other than okay. It was also noticeable that one of the waiters was constantly stroking his hair so that the hairstyle was in place and a dog was also given a quick pat from him before he continued serving. Conclusion: Paella was a real failure. Extra plate for chicken bones and leftover lemon would have been great. Or larger plates. Tappas delicious. Operation and service can be improved. We had to travel 30 minutes for a paella, which unfortunately wasn't at all tasty or typical. The worst in our challenge so far.

Spontaneous dinner with my wife. Had a super tasty rump steak. Ordered and received medium! My wife's salad was also great. Very friendly staff and our Ty (Appenzeller) was also allowed under the table.

I ate there with friends for the first time last week, the pizza was excellent, the tapas too! Best pizza in Zülpich! Today I picked up a cheeseburger and fries for my son! He was very excited! He just wants to eat a burger there! The fries taste really like potatoes and not like in every fast food restaurant! We will come more often! Highly recommended!

Wir waren 2 x dort essen. Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Der "Gruß aus der Küche" eine Aufmerksamkeit und als kleine Vorspeise Klasse. Das Steak auf den Punkt und sehr zu empfehlen. Pinsa, Salat, egal was, es schmeckt alles hervorragend. Das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt. Cocktails auch sehr zu empfehlen und eine große Auswahl. Klasse Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis. Ich hätte gerne 5 Sterne vergeben, aber 1 Stern Abzug für die sehr lange Wartezeiten. Trotz Reservierung einmal 1 Stunde gewartet war ja noch ok, aber heute 1,5 Stunden war schon grenzwertig. Nichtsdestotrotz kommen wir sehr gerne wieder.

Pinsa, salad, no matter what, it all tastes great. The staff very friendly and accommodating. We felt really comfortable. Cocktails also highly recommended and a large selection. Great value for money. I would have liked to give it 5 stars, but deducted 1 star for the very long waiting times. Waiting for 1 hour once was ok despite a reservation, but 1.5 hours today was borderline. Nevertheless, we would love to come back.

We spent a wonderful evening at Catalonia in Zülpich! The ambience is extremely inviting and we felt welcome from the start. The food was excellent - from the starters to the main courses, all the dishes were fresh, lovingly prepared and incredibly tasty. We were particularly impressed by the authentic Mediterranean cuisine, which impressed us with great flavors and high-quality ingredients. The staff were also extremely friendly and attentive and made our evening even sweeter with their excellent service. A big compliment to the entire team – we will definitely be back!

I can only recommend it to everyone. However, you really have to reserve a table in advance as it gets really crowded. Every table was already reserved.
