Update März 2026: Das Essen ist nach wie vor hervorragend, der Wein fantastisch und das Pfälzer Krüstchen (Schnitzel) sehr empfehlenswert. Der perfekte Ort für ein (oder zwei, oder drei) leckere Gläser Wein, dazu stimmiges, sehr gutes Essen und netter Service. Wir kommen regelmäßig wieder. --- Heute durfte ich außerdem beim ersten Käse-Tasting mit Weinbegleitung dabei sein und ich kann es absolut empfehlen! 🧀🍷 Die Käse-Auswahl war unglaublich lecker, die Weine perfekt abgestimmt und die Atmosphäre einfach richtig schön und entspannt. Ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis, nutzt unbedingt die Gelegenheit, das auch mal auszuprobieren!

Toller Service und sehr sehr leckeres Essen!

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in der Pfälzer Weinstube und rundum begeistert. Der Service war hervorragend: aufmerksam, herzlich und professionell – vom freundlichen Empfang bis zur kompetenten Weinempfehlung. Auch die Speisen haben überzeugt: frisch, aromatisch und mit spürbarer Liebe zum Detail zubereitet.

Wir haben 1,5 Monate im Voraus für 13 Personen mit der Bitte um eine gemeinsame Tafel reserviert. Leider wurden wir bei Ankunft auf zwei Tische aufgeteilt; die Begründung, dies sei räumlich nicht anders möglich, war bei der langen Vorlaufzeit enttäuschend. Während das Essen in Ordnung war, rochen die Wassergläser leider sehr muffig. Ein klärendes Gespräch nach dem Essen verlief leider wenig zufriedenstellend. Statt die Kritik anzunehmen oder eine kleine Geste der Wiedergutmachung zu zeigen, wurde nur auf interne Fehler und die Spülmaschine verwiesen. Mein Tipp: Beanstandungen ernst nehmen und bei Gläsern lieber kurz selbst nachprüfen, statt auf die Technik zu vertrauen. Schade, wir hatten uns mehr Gastfreundschaft erhofft.

Man hat sich bei euch willkommen gefühlt. Das Essen war ein Traum und auch hier habe ich schon lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Ein großartiger Abend für uns Besucher aus Hamburg..Detmold von seiner schönsten Seite. Ein wundervoller Weihnachtsmarkt und dann der krönende Abschluss in der Pfälzer Weinstube.. Dieser Abend war fantastisch. Meine Freundin ist zum Gourmet geworden, endlich❤️ in absolut angenehmer und nicht überkandidelter Art, wird ein fantastisches Essen serviert. Die Leichtigkeit des Personals mit auch einer sympathischen leichten verpeiltheit, ist genau das richtige damit es auf dem Boden bleibt. Der Cappucino von Marone und Pilz ist eine Offenbarung und von Reh und Roulade wollen wir gar nicht sprechen...wir kommen wieder wenn wir in Detmold sind.. danke für diesen Abend ❤️

We were at the restaurant yesterday and I was truly impressed. The waiter was incredibly knowledgeable: friendly, attentive, and highly competent. I felt exceptionally well taken care of from beginning to end. The portions were surprisingly generous and very reasonably priced – truly excellent value for money. The rest of the team also made a thoroughly professional and well-coordinated impression. The entire property is beautifully designed, with a romantic, almost fairytale-like ambiance. You immediately feel at ease and can truly enjoy your visit. Overall, a wonderful experience – highly recommended!

Full stars for the Palatinate wine bar👏 🥳💯 To begin with, I can say that we felt very comfortable and ate well. And in a cozy atmosphere 😍👌👏You couldn't start better. The staff and waitresses were so friendly and accommodating that we immediately felt at home🥳👍 The service was quick and attentive. The food was super delicious with generous portions and excellent value for money. The pumpkin soup was the starter. A real hit to start with. And then I finally got to try the Palatinate Saumagen, which Helmut Kohl made famous. In short, I didn't regret it!😋And for dessert, as it should be, the apricot pancake. It was all a poem💯🤗👍 Finally, another compliment to our waitresses! 😃This is how the quality of a restaurant rises and falls. Even the best chef can't shine without good service. We discovered it by chance while exploring Detmold. As people from the Palatinate who had moved north, we wanted something "homely" for lunch and were not disappointed! A very nice atmosphere, good service. We treated ourselves to the original Palatinate sausage salad and veal meatballs with potato salad. To drink, we had wine spritzer in an original glass. For dessert, we had plum pancakes. It was a culinary delight! Alla hopp - we'll be back!

We visited the Pfälzer Weinstube for the first time and had a fantastic evening. My grandparents live near the Palatinate region, and I manage to spend a night in Deidesheim at least once a year on the way there or back to restock my wine cellar. So I know the atmosphere there quite well and have to commend you for truly managing to bring that flair to Detmold. From the service to the drinks to the food, everything was perfect, and we will definitely be back very soon.

It's nice to see that the cooking here isn't just cookie-cutter, but is done with heart and soul. The drinks selection is a real highlight – especially for wine lovers. If you can't find a suitable tipple here, you probably just don't drink wine. The selection is well-thought-out, high-quality, and perfectly matched to the dishes. The service? Top-notch! Always attentive, professional, and fast. And even if something doesn't go quite right, the team always has a solution ready and ensures that you, as a guest, feel completely at home. That's exactly what you want in gastronomy. I'd like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the entire team. You can feel their passion in every detail. The Palatinate wine taverns are still young – but I'm sure they will become firmly established in Detmold. My mother and I were guests at the Pfälzer Weinstube a few days ago. From the beautiful ambiance to the lovingly prepared menu, our first impression was very positive. We were greeted by warm and friendly service and guided throughout the evening. The wine expertise was more than satisfactory. The food was beautifully presented and the flavor didn't let up. It was delicious. The Pfälzer Weinstube treated us to an evening of good food, great service, and a pleasant overall atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Over the past few years, we've always been thrilled by the delicious food and beautiful ambiance! Yesterday we were disappointed – the veal croutons, which come with hash browns, a small salad, and a hefty price tag, were all covered in greasy breadcrumbs and presented with a less than loving care. The dessert we ordered still hadn't arrived after half an hour, even though the number of guests was very limited. The tent we were sitting under made the place dark and spoiled the once cozy atmosphere. What a shame!

Nice ambiance in Detmold's city center, right on the wall. Simple food at a still acceptable price range. Service, however, was unfriendly and unprofessional. We had a direct comparison in the restaurant directly across the street. We had to wait half an hour for our order to be taken, which was then also taken incorrectly. Of three drinks, two were incorrect. Unfortunately, the food was also taken incorrectly and then, after more than an hour of waiting, was also served incorrectly. I ordered a "Classic" tarte flambée, but was served with tartar of flame-grilled salmon. So I had to wait another 15 minutes for my food to arrive. Salt and pepper were not brought, even after politely asking. Friendly neighbors at the table were at least able to help out with pepper. This meant that the veal meatballs with Palatinate potato salad could at least be seasoned with more pepper. No further drink orders were taken either. The bill was also issued incorrectly and only changed in handwriting. Our comment about the unfortunately poor service was met with rude replies. Unfortunately, we've never experienced anything like this before and can only advise against a visit. After this successful evening, this was also our last visit to the Palatinate wine bar!

The restaurant is beautifully situated on the waterfront and has a wonderful atmosphere. We've wanted to go there for a long time. Unfortunately, we must have picked an unfortunate time: the kitchen and service were completely overwhelmed. Drinks took a long time to arrive, and empty glasses weren't cleared away. Everyone around us received a small bowl of bread in advance—we only received it after we asked. And then, unfortunately, my salmon on risotto was completely oversalted. We'll be back—but only for wine. What a shame!

We were there on March 8, 2025, and the service and food were very good. 25 years ago I found my true love there (back then in the tea house) and we are still together and happy today, it was a beautiful afternoon and it was a nice feeling to be there. I am from Detmold and now live in Rinteln. We will come to Detmold more often and have something to eat and drink a nice wine there. What is particularly special is the nice service, friendly and very accommodating. Please keep it up

Update September 2024: The food is still excellent, the wine is excellent and I'm already looking forward to winter, when there will be really good (winemaker's) mulled wine outside on the terrace again. The Pfälzer Krüstchen (schnitzel) is highly recommended. The perfect place for one (or two, or three) delicious glasses of wine, accompanied by harmonious, very good food and nice service. We come back regularly.

We were with friends, rather by chance, because we met in Detmold from different regions of Germany, in the Pfälzer Weinstube. Everyone was very positively surprised by the quality of the food and wine, the friendliness and the very good service. And that started with the reservation on the phone, because one of the guests has a travel agency and can easily see what is in the offing when we make contact... in this case, very positively surprised and remarkable. Finally a waitress who never lost track of things, was more than friendly, always present but never intrusive, but rather asked exactly the right questions with a good feel for the situation at hand and also had a "casual" saying at the ready. The menu is clear, but there is something for everyone. The food was served to everyone at the same time. The empty glasses were always cleared away promptly (which is never the case in franchise restaurants where unskilled students work), as we had several wine tastings and always received new glasses. The wine offerings are also very good. The different glass sizes are a positive thing, so you can try things out a bit. I really have to come back to the waiters, simply pleasant, perfect and attentive... and that often makes a visit to a restaurant. Highly recommended. We'll be back. As soon as possible and then we will test the indoor catering, because yesterday we sat outside. By the way, by the water under the trees. Very nice. Please keep it up. Top!!!

In my opinion the best restaurant in Detmold. The staff is always friendly, quick and courteous, even on holidays/stressful weekends. I can't comment on the meat dishes since I'm a vegetarian, but everything I've eaten there as a vegetarian so far has been great. I also think the idea of ​​a seasonally changing menu is really great and I always like to be surprised by what's next on the menu. Even though the situation was a while ago, I would like to share another experience: At some point last year there was nothing vegetarian on the menu that didn't contain nuts (I have allergies) and I asked our waiter about it. A short time later, the chef himself stood at our table, had various ideas about what he could cook for me instead and asked what I would like. This meal was also delicious. I've actually never experienced this before, a chef coming to the table in person... where else does something like that exist? I can only recommend this restaurant!

Wow! A true delight to be here! It’s located right in the residence, with a busy yet delightful atmosphere. The interiors are super aesthetic and has a classy vibe. They also had prompt service and it is well managed even though it was busy. Food was delectable too. Strongly recommend this place.

What a surprise. This cute restaurant is located in the most beautiful spot in Detmold. We enjoyed the asparagus soup and I enjoyed the vegetarian gnocchi with asparagus and my husband enjoyed the cordon bleu. The recommended wine was also delicious. We had a seat on the terrace where the sun shone for a long time. Attentive service too.

Simply recommended: the food, the wine and the ambience. The selection of dishes is rather small, but completely sufficient and it was very tasty. Very good service in a relaxed and nice atmosphere. The team is super nice and friendly. The food is to die for. The menu is not very large, but the food is seasonal and fresh. Yesterday's meal was basically a spring dream for us with fresh asparagus tarte flambée. The 🍷 selection is also impressive. All in all, a successful girls' evening. The four of us girls say thank you and will definitely come back.

What a great place! Very nice food! The salmon tartare and Kaiserschmarrn were excellent, but the accompanying wines that we tasted beforehand were also perfect. Ein wunderbarer Ort um das Leben zu genießen mit tollem Wein und leckerem Essen.

Ich war zum ersten Mal hier - Gott sei Dank hatte meine Kollegin einen Tisch reserviert. Es gibt eine kleine Karte mit ausgefallenen Gerichten (zumindest in unserer Region / wir sind ja in Lippe und nicht in der Pfalz)... Es war außerordentlich lecker 😋. Hier findet JEDER was - auch "Weggedarier" (wie sie auf der Speisekarte tituliert werden :-) )! Ich kann es jedenfalls nur weiterempfehlen. Werde mit meinem Mann hier in allernächster Zeit hingehen. Ohne meine Kollegin wäre ich NIE auf die Idee gekommen, dort hinzugehen. Das wäre glatt ein Fehler gewesen.....

Vor kurzem nach Detmold verzogen und nahmen dafür unseren 52. Hochzeitstag als Anlass in diesem gemütlichen Ambiente Essen zu gehen. Der Mojito Lachs war sehr gut, der Zwiebel Kuchen meines Ehemannes gut. Ich entschied mich für Kalbsgeschnetzeltes mit Pfifferlingen und Rösti. Rösti sehr gut, die Pfifferlinge sahen nicht sehr Pfifferlingsmässig aus und das Kalbsgeschnetzelte war komplett zäh und ungenießbar. Ein Stück war total dunkel und hart. Was war das für ein Fleisch?? Ich ließ das Essen sehr enttäuscht zurück gehen. Entschied mich dann auch für Zwiebel Kuchen, was eigentlich nicht unbedingt mein Favorit ist. Was auch noch auffiel, alle Gäste bekamen vor ihrer Bestellung ein Brot mit Quark (?) aufs Haus. Wir als einzige nicht. Es kam mir letztendlich vor, dass wir als Gäste nicht willkommen waren. Schade, ein schönes Restaurant innen und außen,aber für mich stimmte nix. Absolute Enttäuschung. Auf das Dessert würde dann aus Enttäuschung verzichtet. Es gab keine Entschuldigung, aber der Espresso ging auf's Haus. Ich hätte lieber gehabt, man hätte 1 x "Entschuldigung" gesagt.

Was ein schönes Fleckchen Erde. Es war ein ausgezeichneter Besuch dort, die Bedienung ist zuvorkommend, der Wein vorzüglich, ganz zu schweigen vom köstlichen Essen, großes Lob. Selbst die Toiletten sind schön hergerichtet und auch sehr sauber. Vorher unbedingt reservieren.

Wir waren in der einzigen Weinstube in Detmold, der Pfälzer Weinstube im ChaLu, und haben einen wunderbaren Abend verlebt. Als Starter gab es den "Summerset"-Aperitif, der super lecker war und kaum 5 Minuten überlebt hat. Gefolgt von unterschiedlichen, spannenden Weißweinen ging es nach ein paar Minuten mit den super leckeren Hauptspeisen weiter. Saumagenburger, Spinatknödel mit rahmigen Pifferlingen, Kalbsgeschnetzeltes mit Kartoffelrösti und Pfälzer Kalbskrüstchen auf Rahmpifferlingen - sehr lecker bei einer super Gesellschaft! Abgeschlossen haben wir unsere kulinarische Reise mit einer kleinen Käseauswahl und dem Zwetschgenschmarrn mit Vanilleeis. Ein durch und durch gelungener Abend - wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Eine Herzlichkeit empfängt einen schon beim eintreten:)! Gemütliche Nischen laden zum verweilen ein, trotzdem herrscht kein Platzmangel. Freundlichkeit ist überall zu spüren...und hier selbstverständlich! Selbst bei vollen Tischen, kommt immer ein Lächeln mit:). Das Essen ist hervorragend. Sowohl für den kleinen, als auch für den großen Hunger. Jeder kommt hier auf seine Kosten. Saisonale Gerichte findet man auch auf der Karte. Vom Hr. Müller persönlich oder auch vom Service, bekommt man dazu noch eine tolle Weinberatung. Wir sitzen auch gerne draußen am Wasser, falls das Wetter mitspielt. Das Ambiente wunderschön:))). Da darf es auch schon mal ein Gläschen mehr sein ;)

Als Kurpfälzer hat es mich gefreut etwas „Heimat“ in Detmold zu sehen (..auch wenn ich normalerweise gerne einheimisches vor Ort probiere). Ein sehr schönes, schnuckeliges Gasthaus. Welch leckere Gerichte auf der Karte. Und die haben auch noch sehr gut geschmeckt (..zumindest, die die wir probiert haben (Tomaten-Aprikosen-Salat mit Burrata, Kalbsgeschnetzeltes mit Kartoffelrösti, Pfälzer Kalbskrüstchen auf Rahmchampignons ). Ich gehe aber davon aus, daß die anderen auch so hervorragend schmecken. Der Koch schafft es in der relativ kleinen Küche tolle Gerichte zu zaubern. Chapeau! Abgerundet wird das Ganze mit einer sehr umfangreichen Weinauswahl und sehr freundlichem Service. Darauf ein „Allagut! Trinke mer eunen!“.

Es ist immer wieder ein schönes Erlebnis. Bestens gegessen und getrunken und der Service ist humorvoll sympathisch.

Kleine aber feine wechselnde Karte. Leckere Gerichte. Die Weinauswahl ist gut und nicht zu teuer. Auch der Hauswein schmeckt. Immer wieder gerne!

Kleines,etwas versteckt gelegenes, gemütliches Lokal. Die Mitarbeiter sind überaus höflich und aufmerksam. Da es nicht sehr viele Plätze gibt, ist es ratsam auf jeden Fall vorher zu reservieren. Die verarbeiteten Produkte sind regional und absolut frisch...lecker! Die Weinkarte beinhaltet überwiegend weiß und rose Weine. Rotweine gabe es nicht so viele. Der Zugang ins Lokal ist nicht barrierefrei. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Außenbereich, den wir garantiert bei schönem Wetter auch nochmal "testen" werden 😀.

Ein Restaurant der besonderen Art ! Ich hatte meine Geburtstagsfeier mit 19 Personen in der Pfälzer Weinstube geplant. Herr Müller hatte dazu die ganze untere Etage reserviert, die Tische eingedeckt mit Blumenschmuck, Kerzen,Wein-und und Wassergläsern, Wasserkaraffen,komplett mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Das Dreigang Menü und die Weinbegleitung hatten wir vorher gemeinsam besprochen und ausgewählt.Die Menü- und Getränkekarte hatte er auf den Tischen platziert. Das Essen war an Qualität nicht zu überbieten und geschmacklich auf höchstem Niveau. Der Service war diskret, höflich, schnell und nicht zu überbieten. Alle 19 Gäste waren hoch zufrieden und begeistert. Hut ab für Küchenleistung, Service und auch Preis-Leistungsverhältnis... Die 5 Sterne sind hoch verdient.

Absolutes Must-have... fantastische Küche, Spitzenweine, toller diskreter Service und bestes Preisleistungsverhältnis... Hier wird auf Sterne-Niveau gekocht.
