Casa Mia in Rostock

The chef has probably never been to Italy or any other Mediterranean country in his life. The Italian dishes are as far removed in terms of ingredients and taste as the Eiffel Tower is from St. Peter's Basilica. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere more like a cafeteria. A classic tourist restaurant with no chance of repeating.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The service is super friendly, the place is beautiful, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. We took advantage of the seasonal special and had mussels. I've never eaten them so fresh. It was simply a wonderful experience. I'd love to go back!

The ambiance and friendly staff invite you to linger. The drinks were decent, but the food (compared to other restaurants) was poorly presented. My pasta was cold, and the kid's nuggets were a poorly prepared product. A shame :(

We were warned that there would be a longer wait, as the restaurant was very busy and the chefs were already giving their best. And we were surprised: despite the busy schedule, the food was of a high quality. The food arrived faster than ever, the spare ribs were easy to pull off the bone, and the beef cheeks were easily torn apart with a spoon. A true delight that found its way to our table thanks to very attentive and friendly service. Once again, praise and thanks to the kitchen. We'll be back next time!

We wanted to go there for dinner today. When we asked if they had a place where we could take the twin stroller, one of the staff members was helpful, and another told us from the side that we shouldn't just sit down, as the tables had to be cleaned first. The stroller was still outside. We had only made room for guests who wanted to get up, and after hearing someone say we should show more respect, we decided to go somewhere else to eat. The older gentleman who works there should perhaps show respect to the customers if he can't. Is he out of place in this job?

We ate at Casa Mia today and were very disappointed. For a meal that costs over €23, I expect a bit more. We ordered schnitzel, but unfortunately, the plate really only contained a schnitzel, some fried potatoes, and a small cocktail tomato. I don't think that's appropriate for that.

We arrived unannounced with 10 people because we, as a couple, had been so impressed the day before. The service here is truly fantastic! The food came quickly and was delicious. We ate there twice in one week, which says it all.

My children and I received a very friendly welcome and were served in this restaurant. While we were surprised that the Italian restaurant wasn't actually a proper Italian restaurant, the food was truly satisfying, with good value and excellent service! We enjoyed our visit and specifically praised the hospitality. If we ever return to Warnemünde, we would definitely stop here again! I'm only deducting a star because we were expecting something different, and this restaurant could certainly be made more transparent.

We ate here yesterday on our day trip to Warnemünde, and we really enjoyed it. I'd like to highlight the liver with mashed potatoes. It was particularly delicious. It's a very large and beautiful restaurant, with friendly service and a view of the harbor.

The carbonara comes with cream, which unfortunately isn't listed on the menu. As someone who is lactose intolerant, this definitely wasn't acceptable. The older waiter then told me in a gruff tone that the carbonara obviously contains milk. That's a difficult statement to make for an "Italian" restaurant. Furthermore, the pesto unfortunately tasted of nothing. But at least the waitress was kind and understanding. :)

A Mediterranean restaurant pretends to be Italian. The food is neither Mediterranean nor Italian. When I pointed out that this pasta had nothing to do with Italian food, they said: "It doesn't say anywhere that we're an Italian restaurant." Exactly, and that's why it's called a Casa mia. The pasta and the other dish had no flavor, so we didn't have to pay for my daughter's meal because she hadn't eaten anything. Hence 3 stars for the service. Still, I wouldn't recommend it.

I've been eating there once a year for over 10 years, and I really enjoy it, but I feel like the portions are getting smaller every year. I was a bit disappointed today.

The food was delicious, though nothing extraordinary. The service was really friendly and quick! The staff was also child-friendly, and there was a restroom with a changing table.

Excellent location overlooking the Alter Strom river. Large umbrellas provide protection from the sun or rain outside if needed. Heaters invite you to linger even in colder temperatures. Fast and attentive service, delicious pizza with tasty toppings, and thankfully, a light crust... We'd be happy to go again. 👍

My boyfriend and I ate here and received a very friendly welcome (we were able to choose where to sit). We didn't have to wait long for our dishes, and they all tasted great :). Kudos to the kitchen! The lobster soup was a highlight for me, simply delicious. I think another visit is not out of the question. Best wishes!

Not recommended!!! The location, especially on the upper terrace, is very nice. The staff is incompetent, and the food is a disgrace – frozen food for the price of freshly cooked food.

Once and never again. We ate there on a Sunday and weren't impressed with the food. We received the wrong food, but we ate it anyway to avoid waiting any longer. We paid €55 for a bottle of water and two spaghetti dishes. I think that's way too expensive for this quality. We won't be back.

The food was okay but not the best there is. Unfortunately, the noodles were way too spicy that you couldn't taste anything else. There was nothing about “spicy” on the menu, perhaps. the cook mixed up the spreader...the ambience was okay. After all, the best thing is the view. Sat outside on the terrace yesterday afternoon in sunny weather. In addition to the blankets provided, patio heaters and spotlights provided cozy warmth. Super nice service, our grandson got painting supplies and gummy bears. The food was a poem. thank you 👍 for the pleasant moment. Please stay healthy and keep up the good work. Stopped by again today at the beginning of spring and had a delicious lunch.

Very friendly reception and service! The food was very tasty and plentiful. We had the fish burger, pizza and cod fillet. The wine came to the table well chilled. We can really recommend Casa Mia and will definitely come back!

Unfortunately only to a limited extent. We were there for dinner. In my opinion, €20 for spaghetti carbonara is an impressive price. The service was less than impressive. The second waiter had a mishap at the next table and splashed water on my girlfriend and our table. He apologized, wiped the table and brought my friend a new glass of water. The outside of the glass was dirty. He wiped it off in front of us and put it in front of her... I actually expected that we would be given a glass of limoncello to make up for it, but that wasn't the case. Good service is different.

Friendly service and a nice table by the window - everything was ok. The food, however, was very disappointing. Unfortunately, the chicken fillet didn't come out of the pan gently fried, but from a deep fryer that was way too hot and was correspondingly tough and dry. The salad was unseasoned, without oil or balsamic, only "refined" with a few drops of dressing. The best thing was the baked potato, although the sour cream was very limited. All in all, not a recommendation.

We tried different fish dishes in this restaurant and absolutely loved them! Every plate was delicious and very generously portioned – there was a lot of fish. The quality was top and everything tasted fresh and perfectly prepared. The service was also very friendly and attentive. A great experience – I would love to come back!

At 1:45 p.m. I was in the restaurant to reserve a table, the waiter I spoke to replied that you can't make a reservation and that I should just come at 5-5:30 p.m. then I would get a table. So we were there at 5:30 p.m. and spoke to the same waiter who then told us that there were no tables left. It was strange that there was a reserved sign on some of the tables. The waiter then tried to explain to me that we should have made a reservation much earlier, and in a very rude tone. I do not recommend this restaurant

Well, I'm not a fish eater at all, so when I'm at the coast, I order something. An accolade, super tasty, I ate it all up, always enjoy it. The host and the waitress as well, super friendly, great, will come back at some point.

I would have liked to give more stars. A huge compliment to the very nice waiter who rocked the top floor all by himself. The second compliment to the kitchen. Super tasty bruchetta and the pasta was also a blast. Casa Mia will see us again on our next visit to Warnemünde.

I love the view on the balcony. Everything from pizza, pasta, to a fish plate with 3 different types of fish, which is also gluten-free. Good tip! Always happy to be very hospitable, even with a dog! Gluten-free dishes can also be served upon request! 6 stars!! Clear recommendation!

We ate at Casa Mia with a large group and several small children and everyone loved it. The food was plentiful, beautifully prepared and very tasty. The loving service from Agnes was particularly noteworthy. Rarely have you been served so kindly and sensitively. She answered all questions and requests regarding the food and didn't let it bother her. Thank you for this great evening.

After several vacations in Warnemünde, we decided to go to Casa Mia for the first time yesterday. The best meal in Warnemünde so far. There were 5 of us and we had different meals. Save ribs, roulades, soup etc. From the presentation or quantity (now very, very rare) on the plate to the taste and the service, everything was great. Keep it up. Thank you very much M. Kittler

The only good thing about this evening was the food and the privacy (second but involuntary, due to the non-existent service) We have rarely experienced such poor service that doesn't even deserve a star. In the reception area we sat against the counter and we were sent upstairs to ask if there was still a table available. Unfortunately, we first had to look for the service employee in the upper area and didn't get a friendly word out of his mouth the entire evening. After we got our food, the employee was never seen again, so it was not possible to order drinks or even dessert.

Stopped here for lunch on a day trip up Warnemunde. Service was friendly and the restaurant itself is nice inside. The staff were welcoming to our baby son and provided a highchair for him. Food was good and they have a children’s menu if you have older kids. We sat inside because it was chilly that day, but the outside terrace looked very nice to sit and watch the world go by. Good drinks menu and all is reasonably priced.

Friendly, courteous staff and delicious food

Wanted to have lunch with my wife and grandson (4 years old) today. What caught our eye from the outside was the balcony seating on the first floor. The place was completely empty. Nevertheless, we wanted to take a seat. However, this was denied to us by two unfriendly staff members. Apparently it would be too narrow at the top. A friendly solution was not even sought. From my point of view, they wanted to continue chatting and not climb stairs. It's a shame that you always come across listless staff who prefer to send guests out with a snippy, arrogant "goodbye" rather than look for a solution. But maybe the place wasn't so empty for nothing.

Unfortunately very unsympathetic service, loud misogynistic and political conversations among the employees that you couldn't ignore as a guest. The food wasn't particularly Italian with average taste. The drinks contained too little carbon dioxide. We were told “the mixer taps do this on their own, there is no other way” Service bad, food not really tasty either, edible but for the relatively high price you would rather not eat it. All around tourist rip off… We weren't even told goodbye, that speaks for itself

We were sitting at the table when a somewhat portly waiter came past our bicycle cart and panted. Same thing on the way back, panting again. We asked if he had a problem. Instead of politely asking if we could move the car a little differently, this man continued to complain that we shouldn't talk to him from the side. The nice waitress explained to us that this is the boss. Service seems to be a foreign word. We actually wanted to eat, but somehow we forgot.

So the food was okay, the restaurant is very nice, but the service (older gentleman) was simply subpar. Only when there was a tip (my cousin paid, I wouldn't have given any) did he thaw out and notice us. What's more about this restaurant is that this review was already written once by a guest who was there that evening and the restaurant deleted it. As if that wasn't enough, he was so blocked that he can no longer write a recession... unbelievable!!! If as much energy were invested in service as in deleting and blocking critical recessions, guests would be helped more. So just accept criticism and learn something from it. Let's see how long my recession lasts here and whether I get blocked too. (there are also other portals) 😉😉😉

We went to dinner at Casa Mia without a reservation. At first we were irritated by the many additional costs, for example for changing the side dishes, containers/packaging for uneaten food... Our chosen starters were okay, but the main courses were not good value for money. The portions are sufficiently large. However, the quality of the dishes did not meet our expectations of Italian cuisine. Service was good - courteous, friendly & quick.

I've always been a guest there until now because I'm basically satisfied. The question remains for me, why do you use Google? My impression as a guest is actually not desired.

The food and ambience are fantastic. Unfortunately, the service on the day of our visit was apparently not in a good mood. Despite the moderate number of visitors - so it couldn't have been due to overload - it took forever for the drinks order to be taken. So we could at least include the food right away. Unfortunately, the delivery of the drinks also took a long time. This made the wait for the food a bit dry. On the other hand, when the remaining food was then taken away, the bones that had already been collected were put back into the food under the mashed potatoes. These were an unpleasant surprise that could have ended dangerously! Maybe it was a boycott by the employee who consciously wanted to badmouth his employer. Who knows.

Of the 10-day vacation in Warnemünde, we went to CasaMia for dinner every evening for 8 days and it was always absolutely great there. Delicious food, very friendly and nice service, who also responded to all guest requests and made everything we asked possible. We felt very comfortable there, would like to come back and would like to recommend this Italian restaurant!!!

Service was ok, unfortunately the food was not. We had just been sitting for 10 minutes when the food arrived as ordered. Pork medallions were dry and set on one side. Salmon fillet was also dry and tasteless. Supposition…. Food is pre-cooked and heated up quickly. For the price you pay there you can actually expect more. We won't come back.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the restaurant. The waiter didn't let us go upstairs to the outside seats even though they were free. We were very rudely directed to other places on the lower floor. A reservation was not possible. The upper seats were not reserved but were not supposed to be occupied because the man from Cologne didn't want to serve on the upper floor. The bruschetta bread was soggy. The spaghetti was terribly bad and the sauce that came with it was definitely out of the package. The dish was actually inedible. However, later we had a very nice, female waitress. She explained to us about the staff shortage and apologized for the misery.

We were there for dinner with a larger group. The ambience is chic and the outdoor seating is also great. The staff was very friendly and had a lot of humor. The food we ordered came quickly and was super tasty. The portion was completely sufficient for an adult and filled me up well. I will definitely visit this restaurant again the next time I'm in Warnemünde. 👍🏼

The waiters are very polite and nice. What I don't understand is that the fish sold in dozens of restaurants and small boats by the sea are all from the freezer and probably do not come from this region. In addition, there is no smell of real fish in this region. I've never smelled a fried fish before. It's a long way from real fish on the grill and the taste of fresh fish. (Casa Mia too) Any menu items that are sold as salmon fish are most likely taken from the freezer. All the comments are; very tasty and very good... I think the king is naked. The quality of the fish and food is very low in a region by the sea and with a sea view. But the restaurants are full, the eater is happy, the seller is happy. Bon appetit

I have always eaten here when I am in Warnemünde. It's nice to sit up there and have everything in view. The gentleman upstairs is super friendly! Gladly again

We have been self-confessed Hanse Sail fans for years and have been guests at Casa Mia again and again for years. We didn't get any of the Italian flair and Italian hospitality here today. The food was average, the salad was sandy and not very creatively prepared. The obvious provision of balsamic vinegar and olive oil with the salad had to be requested; the bruschetta slices were very hard. Everything looked like it had been done hours ago. The chicken breast served with the salad was also still cold. And above all, where have the Italians gone? We are very disappointed and will definitely not come back with this Italian flair. It had more of a cloth from an Italian quick test restaurant, which is often even better. It's a shame that a piece of the excellent Italian cuisine/flair and hospitality that will still exist by 2023 will be lost.

We got a nice spot in the best weather without a reservation, which was very nice. However, I was more than very disappointed with the food. I ordered chicken breast with gnocchi and sugar peas. The food came very quickly. When I saw my food in that plate dripping with oil, I felt completely different. If you lift a sugar pea, the oil will drip down! Same with the gnocchi and the chicken! The prices are also very high. I won't come back again.

Service staff super friendly. Unfortunately the food was very bad. Please improve your dishes. Both dishes “penne saltimboca” and “penne salmon” were very, very bad. Penne seemed to have been the cheapest as they were falling apart. My dish “saltimboca”: too much oil, too much meat. Some pieces of meat were too small, some were huge, and the meat was dry. The dish had 0 taste. When it arrived I was disappointed because there was only a handful of noodles in it. I could cook this dish better if I had no food in the house and was hungover. You really need to work on your menu. The food was a real disappointment, although we didn't even have high expectations. The second meal “penne salmon”: sauce tasted like it came from the packaging. It's a real shame, we were looking forward to delicious food. Were very very disappointed afterwards

We didn't have a reservation and still got a good table. Friendly welcome and attentive service. For an Italian, a small menu with 4/5 pizzas...meat and fish. So food came quickly. Price ok. Quality ok. But apart from the good view of the old stream, nothing special
