Great restaurant with an old-school waiter (Enzo). The food is superb and of top quality. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

We just left Ristorante Carrera at 8:45 PM We were astonished to discover that there's a two-tiered society in this place!! At all the tables around us, the staff politely asked which liquor they wanted on the house? Since we only consumed food worth over €100!!... I'd say the staff were simply difficult to deal with in terms of friendliness and competence, and I don't feel like discussing it any further. The food is generally quite varied and, of course, expensive, in keeping with the region. But unfortunately, none of it was tasty. It was well-made and plentiful, but nothing had real flavor. If you like neutral cuisine without a lot of spices and that's what gourmets consider a gourmet, you'll find what you're looking for. The ambiance is a bit lackluster and, unfortunately, sometimes quite windy.

The food was okay, although it was located on the road by the lake. The staff weren't that attentive; they preferred chatting to the locals rather than serving the guests.

We were here on vacation. The pizza is very good! The service is also fast and makes every effort to find a seat even without a reservation. The view of the lake is very beautiful 😊

The Restaurant is 100% Italian and the athmosphere was very nice,but the Place is packed in the summertime so it will take a Bit for the food to arrive but the Food is Grate Overall and the staff is very welcoming and friendly the view of the lake is amazing would recommend 100% it was grate

In my opinion, this restaurant is the best Italian restaurant on Lake Tegernsee. The food is of outstanding quality – authentic Italian, with finely balanced flavors that practically melt in your mouth. You can taste the attention to detail and passion for good cuisine in every dish. The unique location is particularly noteworthy: The restaurant is located directly on the lake and offers breathtaking views of the water. At the same time, it is just a few minutes' walk from the center of Rottach-Egern and several hotels – ideal for guests who want to spend an enjoyable evening without having to travel far. The service also leaves nothing to be desired: The staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome from the very first moment. An all-round successful experience – I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. If you want to enjoy Italian cuisine at its finest, this is the place for you.

I visited this restaurant alone around 7:30 p.m. after arriving late at the hotel. I was alone and was immediately offered a seat by the entrance. I would have preferred a seat by the street or water, even though it was 70% empty! My order went smoothly, but what I got wasn't food I would have let go! Rigatoni was overbaked...it was burnt. After complaining, my plate was taken away. I then paid for my drink, but the waitress didn't take a tip from me...she just said she didn't need to!! Just by the way, I'm a trained restaurant manager, and I know the difference between overbaked and burnt! And the unfriendliness was evident throughout...never again.

We were just about to get a drink. The first waitress didn't speak German, but she managed to take our order. A second waitress came along and sent us away because we didn't want to eat. The restaurant was practically empty. We couldn't see any table reservations. I would have preferred to give it a 0* rating. The waiter was very rude.

The starter was poorly prepared: spaghetti was overcooked, and the calamari was ridiculous for the price. The staff were also unattentive; we ended up waiting almost 30 minutes for the bill. The lake view is fantastic, but unfortunately, that's all.

This is where you can find some of the better pizzas in the valley.

I ENJOYED THEIR FOOD, BUT A RESTAURANT IS MORE THAN JUST FOOD. DO NOT GO. DO NOT GO. I REPEAT: DO NOT GO. They charge guests for drinks they didn't drink. And don't be shocked if they charge you for salt, pepper, or chili oil. I enjoyed the food, but a restaurant is more than just food. DO NOT GO.

We went here for dinner on May 1st. It took a while until we got our food, but the outside area was well filled and there were still guests in the restaurant. We all know what good staff is like! The service was very friendly and quick. The pizza was fantastic, super thin, crispy base with good toppings. The Scaloppina ala romana was just as good!!! The meat was simply delicious and the vegetables were super crunchy and everything was very well seasoned. It was a very nice evening that we enjoyed with good food and cool drinks with a wonderful sunset at the lake. Thank you very much!!! The only drawback on our part: we believed the bad reviews and only ate there once during our stay.

Hello everyone, In the evening we wanted to go out for Italian dinner with our friends. We chose this restaurant. The atmosphere is very cozy, the service was ok.that's the nice thing about it. We had all ordered pizzas, after about 1.15 hours we finally got them, even though the restaurant was manageably full... In terms of taste, none of them were great. ..it's actually a shame...you're leaving money behind for it. We were all a bit disappointed after dinner.

Nice restaurant in Rottach Egern. I ate pizza and a mixed salad. I liked both very much. The tomato sauce on the pizza was delicious. The surface for the Mare would get four stars from me. Overall, absolutely recommended. The seafood risotto was delicious and there was also delicious seafood included

Not a hit. 1.5 hours wait for food. Asked 5 times for an ashtray so that I could fetch it myself. Asked 4 times for the bill only to get it dry after 40 minutes. Pizzas and squid were good. But service is really different

Very nice restaurant right on Lake Tegernsee. Service and food were very, very great. The friendly service immediately accepts any extra request and it is implemented immediately. Highly recommended.

We made an outdoor reservation a day in advance. We were received very friendly the next evening. The food was very tasty. The service was friendly. We have a free parking lot a few steps further. Price-performance ratio was okay for us compared to other restaurants.

Very rude waiter who dismisses his colleague's absence as "he's gone on vacation" and simply leaves the guest sitting. Additional requests ordered were ignored. In general, the staff seems overwhelmed, loud arguments and angry throwing of napkins at the table. Such behavior in the presence of guests means that I cannot recommend this restaurant.

No trace of service... Just processing, no asking if everything is okay or giving you wine. The calamari from the grill was hard, not fresh and the vegetables were cold. Honestly, for this great location it's a run-of-the-mill Italian restaurant with zero service... Never again

We had lunch with two adults and two children. The greeting was not particularly welcoming. There is currently a problem with wasps on the terrace and even though they are quite numerous everywhere this year, you could set up traps for them a little away so that they don't bother the guests so much that you have to eat in fear for the children. The pizza wasn't eaten because it just didn't taste good (the base was tasteless and soft), the pasta with salmon was ok and the carpaccio was carelessly overloaded with parmesan slabs. The service did not respond to the feedback and was overall very uncaring. In the women's toilet (probably part of the hotel) there is a huge black mold stain on the ceiling, which is a disaster! I don't recommend the restaurant, it (unfortunately) only benefits from the great location!

Unfortunately, the barrier-free access was blocked, so we carried the wheelchair upstairs. The food was no longer hot but still tasty.

Hope the restaurant keeps its chef for a long time because the food was delicious BUT the service (especially the older man, maybe the owner, was a disaster). After we dared to complain, we were virtually ignored as guests. Conclusion: 0.90 ct tip which hopefully reaches the kitchen. This pizzeria doesn't deserve more

We had dinner at Carrera and wouldn't recommend it to anyone! At first our order was forgotten and after we asked after 1 1/2 hours, it was delivered quickly. However, there was no response or apology. We had two pizzas and two pasta dishes. The pizzas were delicious and the price was right. The noodle portions were far too small for the price and we were by no means full. During the meal, a waiter at the next table dropped a glass (this can happen when we are stressed, no problem) and the shards were scattered in the entrance area and under our chairs. The shards were then completely ignored by the staff and left lying there. The new guests had to walk over the pieces the entire time. And we were left in shambles. We were “happy” when we were finally allowed to pay. A discount or something similar for the forgotten order was not even remotely considered. When it came to paying, we wanted to make it easy for the already stressed and overwhelmed staff and simply split the bill in two (there were four of us). Then came a stupid comment for no reason. As we left, we didn't have to assume that anyone would apologize for the forgotten food or the broken pieces. All in all the service was terrible and this was our first and last visit there.

Unfortunately, the service performance had an extremely negative impact on the overall result.

Quality of the food good, pizza very good price-performance ratio (tastes wonderful), pasta tasty, priced up and intermediate course size, main courses selected and therefore expensive. Service Italian (very friendly (!), and of course chaotic). Star deduction because of the long wait for the food.

A cafe located next to the hotel overlooking the lake. It is very beautiful and quiet. The service is excellent and elegant. I did not eat any food, just tea. A respectable and lovely waitress who speaks fluent English. I strongly recommend it.

We ate here during our short visit to Tegernsee. We were served very friendly, the pizzas were tasty and well topped. We particularly liked the large daily menu that was placed at the table. Unfortunately it was too cold to sit on the terrace, where you have a wonderful view of the lake.

Pizza good, other dishes average to poor, service poor, nice terrace by the lake - here you pay for the view and location. It's a shame that a restaurant in this location doesn't have higher standards. In the future, you'll be better off eating somewhere else.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit freundlichem Personal und sehr leckerem Essen. Wir waren im Urlaub jeden Abend, außer Mittwoch als Ruhetag war, dort Essen. Dort gibt es die beste Tomatensuppe, die wir bisher als Vorspeise gegessen haben. Auch alles andere war sehr lecker und es wird frisch zu bereitet. Vielen Dank für die wundervollen Woche und bleibt wie ihr seid. Foto ist heute Abend aufgenommen. Wir haben gern auf der Terrasse gesessen.

Traumhaftes italienisches Restaurant im Waltershof. Der abendliche Blick in die untergehende Sonne auf dem Tegernsee verleiht wahrhaft südländisches Ambiente unter weiß-blauem bayerischem Himmel. Antipasti, Pizza, Carne haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Der Patrone🇮🇹 (eigentlich ist er nicht der Chef, tritt aber so auf) bedient persönlich und überzeugt mit seinem trockenen Humor, den man zugegebenermaßen verstehen muss. Dann wird man aber schnell ins italienische Herz geschlossen. Auf jeden Fall unterhaltsam. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Essen war sehr lecker und schnell am Platz.Das Personal sehr freundlich aber definitiv zu gering besetzt für die Größe des Restaurants.Das in und Exterieur ist sehr gepflegt und italienisch Charmant. Wir werden definitiv nochmal hingehen :)

Warum gibt's nur 5 Sterne. 2.Besuch und es war wieder toll und die Bedingung war lustig und das es lecker.

Eine Freundin und ich waren im Juli 2023 zum Probeessen für eine Geburtstagsfeier zum Mittagessen. Die gewählten Speisen waren qualitativ bestenfalls Durchschnitt. Befremdlich war die "Schweinebratensauce" zu den Nudeln mit Steinpilzen und mein einsames Basilikum Blatt (nicht Blätter!) zum Caprese. Auf meine Bitte nach mehr Basilikum wurden mir 3 zusätzliche Blätter stilvoll auf der Handfläche angeboten. Abgesehen von der Qualität der Speisen hat sich das Thema Familienfeier schnell erledigt, da die Bedienung 1. den Chef abgeblockt hat 2. sich locker flockig am Nachbartisch angeleht hat 3. uns nicht einen bestimmten Tisch für die Feier mit 14 Personen in 4 Wochen aussuchen lassen wollte 4. Blumenschmuck sollte selbst mitgebracht werden. Fazit: keine Familienfeier, kein zweiter Besuch

Wir hatten einen traumhaften Abend im Carrera. Wir waren bereits um 18:30 auf der Terrasse, zu der Zeit waren nur ein Paar Tische besetzt. Ab 19:00 füllte sich die Terrasse und war ab 19:30/20:00 komplett voll. Der Service war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Unsere Wartezeit war zu Beginn sehr kurz, für die Nachspeisen Ei voller Terrasse etwas länger aber völlig in Ordnung. Das Ambiente direkt am Tegernseers ist traumhaft und erst Recht bei Sonnenuntergang. Zum Essen: 1.Vorspeisen: Carpaccio und Beef-Tatar mit Avocado war sehr lecker! Dazu gab es eine sehr erfrischenden Limoncello Sprizz. 2.Hauptgang: Die Lasagne und Pizza Caliguri (glaube ich wird anders geschrieben) sind umwerfend gut!! Der gegrillte Fisch und der Fisch im Salzmantel waren ebenfalls eher lecker. 3.Nachtisch: Hier hatten wir nur noch Platz für Panacotta mit Erdbeeren. Ebenfalls sehr lecker. Die genannte Pizza und der Ausblick waren unser Highlight.

Tolle Aussicht und gutes Essen. Zu empfehlen Heute war es leider nicht empfehlenswert. Wenn Stammgäste da sind wird man ignoriert und wartet eine halbe Stunde auf Getränke und noch länger auf die Rechnung. Essen war sonst auch besser. Service total überfordert. Nur die Lage ist nicht entscheidend.

Das einzige Negative war das Chaos in der Küche. Mann konnte es bis nach draußen hören. Sonst waren alle bemüht den Kunden zufrieden zu stellen. Preise leider nur für Gutverdiener.

The issue with the restaurant is the stuff is full in stress, e.g. glas gets broken, waiters run unorganized up and down, food is good, but the service creates an unrelaxed atmosphere I hope they manage it in future. Good luck

Absolute Empfehlung!!! Service sehr aufmerksam und vor allem total nett und herzlich. Essen (Pizza und Fisch) spitzenklasse, Getränke gut gekühlt. Die Lage ist oberdrauf noch überragend. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!

Meine beste Pizza die ich je gegessen habe

Die 2 Sterne gibt es nur für die Lage mit Blick auf den See und dem Genuss der Abendsonne. Das Essen (Pizza und Lasagne) waren mittelmäßig und das Bier war warm. Die Richtig schlecht aber war der Service. Offensichtlich wird man nur als Stammgast freundlich behandelt. Aber angesichts der Erfahrungen, werde ich nicht zum Stammgast werden…

Spontan einen Abschiedsabend gemacht. Am Tegernsee in Rottach hier eingekehrt und vorher gefragt ob nur Getränke möglich sind, was bejaht wurde. Nachdem wir unsere Getränke und ein Tiramisu im Glas hatten, kam niemand mehr an unseren Tisch. Irgendwann zahlten wir, da wurden wir dann gefragt, ob wir noch was wollen (da saßen wir schon knapp eine Stunde ohne Getränke da). Da Service mir persönlich sehr wichtig ist, bleiben 3 Sterne. Der Blick auf den Tegernsee ist jedoch sehr emotional.

Die Lage dirket am See ist wirklich sehr schön. Der Service war leider nicht ansatzweise bemüht und das bestellte Essen (Pizza & Pasta) war geschmacklich nicht gut abgestimmt. Bei beiden Gerichten fehlte Salz. Die Pasta war zudem sehr weich gekocht.

Wunderschön gelegen in der Seestrasse mit traumblick bis zur Kirche in Tegernsee, eine etwas höher gelegene elegant eingerichtete Terrasse, die den Autoverkehr abschottet. Alles im Allem sehr empfehlenswert.

Der Service ist OK, beim Essen muss man Abstriche machen, da gibt es doch wesentlich bessere Restaurants am Tegernsee. Dafür ist es nicht so teuer, aber deswegen fährt man ja nicht an hierhin 😳 Trotzdem, nettes Team, schnell und freundlich 👍

Spontaner Besuch bei meinem Aufenthalt am Tegernsee am Samstag Abend. Freundlicher Empfang, zusätzlich zur Speisekarte gibt es eine aktuelle Karte auf der Tafel. Meine Sonderwünsche wurden freundlich entgegen genommen und mehr als erwartet umgesetzt. Der Wein bestens temperiert, das Essen ein wahrer Genuss. Ich habe mich derart wohlgefühlt, dass ich Sonntag Mittag vor meiner Abreise gleich nochmal als Wiederholungstäter sehe gerne zu Gast war.

Großes Lob, ein echter Italiener mit guter authentischer italienischer Küche! Der Service war absolut aufmerksam und super freundlich! Ich bin oft in Italien unterwegs- hier am Tegernsee habe ich mich quasi kulinarisch in mein Lieblingsland versetzt gefühlt! Absolute Empfehlung meinerseits!!
