Unzulässige Praktiken, Abzocke und mangelnder Respekt – Es geht ums Prinzip! Das Essen hier ist eine absolute Enttäuschung: Für einen winzigen Box-Becher zahlt man stolze 8,90 €, und die Portion war extrem klein! ​Es wurde aber noch schlimmer beim Bezahlen: Ich habe mit meiner in Deutschland ausgestellten American Express Karte (deutsche Kreditkarte mit Euro-Abrechnung) bezahlt. Der Mitarbeiter hat mich vorab nicht über eine zusätzliche Gebühr (es ging um 0,35 €) informiert. Stattdessen hat er das Terminal einfach selbst bedient und die Zahlung ohne meine Bestätigung durchgeklickt! Ich hatte keine Möglichkeit, abzubrechen. Es geht mir überhaupt nicht um den kleinen Betrag, sondern um die mangelnde Transparenz, das schlechte Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und den unbefugten Eingriff ins Zahlterminal! ​Als ich nach dem Grund für die Gebühr fragte, wurde es richtig unverschämt: Obwohl ich komplett auf Deutsch sprach, tat er so, als würde er "meine Sprache nicht verstehen". Um mich vor anderen bloßzustellen, wandte er sich an den nächsten Kunden und fragte diesen, ob Amex eine deutsche Karte sei oder nicht. Fakt ist: Es ist eine reguläre deutsche Karte! Am Ende versuchte er sogar, mir 1,50 € in bar in die Hand zu drücken, um mich schnell abzufertigen und das Problem totzuschweigen. Ich habe das Geld natürlich abgelehnt. ​Ein solcher Laden verdient keinen einzigen Cent. Keine Qualität, kein Respekt, keine korrekten Abläufe. Nie wieder!

wollte am anfang gar nicht, im nachhinein bin ich wirklich froh da gegessen zu haben. sehr nette jungs, kann ich jederzeit empfehlen. hoffe die machen auch in frankfurt auf 🩷

Unmöglicher service der Mann mit der Brille schaute 10 min in die Kasse bevor er mich erkannt hatte und ich 5x hallo gesagt hatte mit dem selben Lappen wischte er am Reis Rum und nahm das Geld entgegen mit einem " ey komm Mal her such dir Salat aus" ging es weiter ich bekam mein Essen hingeschmissen. Nächstes Mal gehe ich einfach zu KFC gegenüber vllt sind die freundlicher.

Ich verstehe die deutsche Art, Dinge zu beurteilen, wirklich nicht. Es war furchtbar, überhaupt nicht mexikanisch! Quesadillas ohne Käse – der Name sagt schon alles – ganze Fleischstücke und ein miserabler Service. Wir konnten am 17. Mai nicht einmal mit Karte zahlen. Nie wieder werden wir dort Geld verschwenden.

Sehr leckeres Essen und Carlos bester Mann!!

Das Essen war alles andere als authentisch. Ich hatte den vegetarischen Quesadilla, wo unter anderem Pico de Gallo als Inhalt aufgeführt wurde. Die war auf jeden Fall nicht drin. Bohnen auch nicht. Stattdessen waren gekochte Karotten, Petersilie und ein Lorbeerblatt in meinem Quesadilla. Guacamole hätte 2,50€ Aufpreis gekostet. Wenn man einen Gemüsewrap mit Käse möchte, ist man hier richtig. Für mexikanisches Essen jedoch nicht. Geht lieber woanders hin, gibt schließlich genug Auswahl.

Mein Besuch am Donnerstag, dem 23. April 2026, war rundum gelungen: köstliches Essen, freundliches Personal und mehr als faire Preise. Ich kann das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen.

Ein toller Ort für ein Mittagessen oder einen Snack.

Ich bestellte Essen zum Mitnehmen. Der Typ gab mir nicht mal Servietten. Dann öffnete sich die Tiffin-Box und das Essen ergoss sich auf meine Hand. Schlechte Verpackung.

75 % Reis, wenig Eintopf. Sehr aufdringlich beim Verkauf. Schmeckt gut, aber kein gutes Angebot.

Ich schreibe eigentlich selten Bewertungen, aber wenn etwas besonders gut oder besonders schlecht ist, dann schon. Es ist meine persönliche Meinung. Leider hat uns das Essen hier gar nicht überzeugt. Der Burrito hat sehr langweilig geschmeckt, nur nach zwei Gewürzen. Die Guacamole kostet zusätzlich 2 €, was grundsätzlich okay ist – allerdings war das Essen trotzdem sehr trocken und es war insgesamt viel zu wenig Sauce dabei, nach Anfrage auf eine Extra Soße, wurde uns gesagt „aber das gibt es nicht kostenlos“. Wir haben Vorort gegessen :). Das war der Mitarbeiter mit der Brille. Der jüngere Mitarbeiter war nett und freundlich, aber spricht nicht so gut Deutsch, was auch in Ordnung ist. Im Gastraum sind außerdem mehrere Tauben herumgeflogen. Mir ist klar, dass das an der Lage in der Wandelhalle liegt und das Restaurant wahrscheinlich nicht viel dafür kann. Trotzdem standen Gewürzbehälter offen herum, was ich persönlich in so einer Umgebung ziemlich unhygienisch finde. Ich arbeite selber in der Gastro. Am Ende wollte ich mein Essen einpacken lassen, weil ich es nicht wegwerfen wollte. Ich habe nach einer anderen Verpackung gefragt, damit der Burrito besser reinpasst, aber mir wurde nur ein brauner Karton gegeben, wie man ihn normalerweise für Reis oder Nudeln benutzt. Das fand ich etwas unnötig kompliziert – man muss da wirklich nicht jeden Cent sparen. Schade, denn die Filiale am Jungfernstieg kennen wir auch und dort haben wir deutlich bessere Erfahrungen gemacht. Für über 30 € insgesamt hätten wir einfach mehr Geschmack, mehr Sauce und insgesamt ein besseres Erlebnis erwartet. Leider würden wir hier nicht noch einmal essen.

Service war sehr freundlich. Aber das Chili con Carne war wirklich nicht lecker, nach meinem Geschmack. Ehrlich gesagt habe ich zu Jugenzeiten schon fast genau so "gutes" vom Discounter gehabt. Habe eine große Portion bestellt. Tatsächlich war der Reis sehr gut. Und davon reichlich. Der Rest sehr sperlich. Bei Chili con Carne... gut so... Ich glaube nicht, dass ich nochmal komme. Für mich sehr enttäuschend.

Essen war ungelogene 10/10. Man kriegt sogar kostenlose Kostproben wenn man keine Ahnung hat was man wirklich will. Warten muss man eigentlich garnicht. Und die hatten unnormal heftige Limonade.

Tut mir leid aber das hat absolut nichts mit einem Buritto zu tun wie man es kennt es hat auch nicht geschmeckt und alles viel raus. Ich war sehr enttäuscht. Die Limo war gut wurde aber in einem großen Becher aufgehoben und stand in der Küche offen rum.

Ich war dort zum Mittagessen. Das Essen im mexikanischen Stil war köstlich. Mir war etwas zu viel Reis, aber ich war zufrieden.

Mein Freund und ich waren heute zum ersten Mal hier. Das Essen war hervorragend, und die hausgemachte Limonade war ebenfalls sehr lecker und erfrischend. Wir wurden äußerst herzlich bedient und werden definitiv bald wiederkommen.

Direkt angesprochen worden… und das selbst im vorbeilaufen. Richtig nette und sympathische Leute die zum Essen und wiederkommen überzeugt haben. Wir kommen definitiv wieder - meinen Mann habt ihr sowas von überzeugt 😅 liebe Grüße aus Freiburg

Ich habe dort Quasedilla gekauft. Die Bedienung hat mich exzellent beraten und Carlos war persönlich vor Ort und hat mir alles mit Herz zubereitet. Hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Danke

I'm wondering how the sauce is made for the braised beef in a tomato sauce with rice? Because the red stains won't come out of the clothes and my fingers get discolored when I touch the sauce. Why? What kind of dye is in it that's so stubborn?

Incredibly delicious! My buddy and I ate burritos there, and they were amazing. The picante pollo is highly recommended! Awesome! 👍 The guys were also very friendly, and the prices were great.

I ordered the vegetable meal to go. It was 75% rice, with just a few stewed vegetables in a sweet tomatoey sauce on top, then a tiny bit of lettuce and canned corn. Not nearly enough vegetables to merit that price, and it didn't taste Mexican at all. Would not recommend the vegetable option.

Whenever I have a layover in Hamburg and have enough time, I grab a burrito here. The staff is always friendly and happy to offer advice, and the burrito is the perfect lunch during a layover. The atmosphere is typical of a train station, but they've done a nice job of making it more pleasant, and it's a bit away from the main flow of traffic.

Delicious food. Highly recommended. Veggie Amigos is absolutely spot on with slightly chewy basmati rice. For €10, the portions could be a bit bigger. As they are now, €8.50 is perfectly reasonable. The quality is excellent, but the portion size is unnecessarily disappointing.

Top shop, delicious food, always happy to come back

The food is not bad but the customer service is horrendous. The guy couldn't even muster a smile looked being inconvenienced by customers.

The veggie burrito was, unfortunately, rather bland in taste. Although I asked for it to be made spicy, and was assured this would be the case, there was no hint of any spice.

I don't know what a real burrito tastes like, but this one tasted absolutely wonderful. The staff served us very friendly, even though it was almost 10 p.m. So if you're in the mood for a delicious burrito or other Mexican dishes, don't hesitate and just try it here!

I had a chili chicken burrito. Trusted the 4.5-star rating and ordered right away since I didn’t have much time. Don’t make the same mistake I did. The burrito was extremely bland—no distinct flavor at all. Probably the worst burrito I’ve ever had. The staff were kind, but the seating area was dirty.

Had a short transfer on the train station during diner time. So made the best decision to order some food, the vegetable plate with rice. Warm meal and very tasty. Service was great!

The burrito tasted very good and wasn't too spicy. The homemade lemonade was okay. The location (main station) is the only negative. Because of the station concourse, there are sometimes pigeons pecking at leftovers from empty tables. You have to deal with that when eating.

MEGA AWESOME!!! I was in Hamburg with school and we really wanted to get something to eat. I had the cool idea of ​​eating Mexican food and we ended up here at Carlos Sambrosa. It was incredibly delicious, a bit too crowded and loud but that was to be expected. The staff were extremely polite and it didn't matter to them where you ate; they convinced you to eat there. (It worked for my friend; he actually prefers Indian food). I really recommend it!! We got such a large portion for only €9.50, so in Hamburg you definitely spend more for such authentic and delicious food. It went really quickly when they put everything on your plate, so I would eat there again on my next trip to Hamburg!!

It was more like basmati rice with a dollop of chili con carne. The ratio wasn't right :(. Everything was too dry and therefore too expensive—a small portion for 11.40 euros. At least the guacamole—one tablespoon included for €2.50—was incredibly delicious. What a shame.

Gerade bei Carlos Sambrosi bei Jungfernstieg gegessen. Erstmal hat ein jung eine stück paprika mit seine hand in meine teller geschmissen, das essen es nicht frish, schmeckt verbrant, fleisch hard und schwarz. Ich hoffe ich werde nicht krank. I've always eaten the Carlos Beef dish at the Hauptbahnhof and haven't had a big problem outside of stomach cramps. Since I like that dish, today we ate at Jungfernstieg and when the boy served me, a pepper fell off the plate, he grabbed it with his hand and threw it on my plate, which for me was very unpleasant and I told him why with his hand, he responded...I washed it. Today it tasted burnt, even the meat was very dry and black.

All the friends of the Mexican food don't have to eat anything, but it's really worth it. The employees were very friendly and can't help it with the poor quality. The worst quesadilla of my life, I couldn't even swallow it despite being very hungry, I could have thrown my money straight into the trash.

The first thing that appealed to me about the small shop was the open-minded and friendly staff. I originally wanted to eat Asian food, but then I wasn't so sure when I saw all the different restaurant chains there. I then looked around a bit and decided on this shop after a friendly greeting as I walked past. I was there for the second time today and both times it was very affordable and very, very tasty, the staff were very friendly and happy to give advice and if you can handle something spicy, you'll get your money's worth here. Edit: I was there for the third time today and I really missed something. Let me tell you, the guacamole is absolutely delicious, if asked, say yes for your own sake. Also today again super nice and courteous staff. 👍
