Would not recommend this place at all! If your time is precious, go somewhere else. I waited over 1.5-2 hours for my food, which is insane and not justified for any place. I came here because I saw a high goggle rating and it was walkable from my hotel. I am from California and i know what authentic burritos taste like and this food was far from Mexican food! It was loaded with sauces which overpowered the taste. Portion size was great but not sure if it was worth $25 avg per person. The servers seated us within 5-7 minutes and kept telling us the food is coming in a bit but it didn’t come for 90 minutes! Only after 45 minutes, they brought us some nacho chips which seemed straight out of a tortilla bag with onions and jalapeños on it. Long story short, save your time and money, don’t be fooled by the 4.9 Google rating here and go some where else

We waited a while for a proper table and were warned when ordering that the food could take a while. The starter also came relatively quickly and after about an hour the food also came. The food itself was tasty, but in this price range I would have expected homemade tacos, for example. The waiting time was also probably due to disorganization, especially since tacos and burritos are fast food. Payment is only possible in cash, which is very strange and rather unfriendly for a restaurant these days. Unfortunately, the high price and the fact that I can't pay by card mean that I won't be coming back.

Had to wait a little bit longer than usual but food was very hearty and refreshing ! I ate salad and vegetarian tacos !

Unfortunately not recommended. Considering that it is fast food and not made in-house, but rather products from the normal food industry, it is far too expensive and took 1 hour. It is pointed out that you should order an appetizer because it takes so long. Also NO CARD PAYMENT possible which was a big disappointment. The staff seemed very confused. Only the ambience and furnishings were convincing.

Really nice place in Hamburg. They are really sweet and service is great. They even did a special dish for our small boy. Highly recommended - btw great pina colada.

But the table would only be free for 2 hours. When asked, everyone seemed very stressed, or you could also look on their website. Throughout the evening we were informed several times that we had to vacate the table shortly before 8 p.m. If you want to spend a relaxing evening, this is absolutely the wrong place for you...

We heard four times throughout the evening that the table had to be cleared in time. When asked, everyone seemed very stressed. Something good to start with, the food was very tasty. Unfortunately, the time pressure that the staff constantly put on us was unpleasant. The food took a long time to arrive and a 3-course menu was unthinkable in terms of time. A second drink could only be ordered at 7:40 p.m. with the comment that you have to be ready by 8:00 p.m. 5 minutes before the end we were told that the next ones were already waiting. Payment was made at the counter, but only by joining the queue.

Great ambience and delicious food. We celebrated a birthday there. The team was super nice, even played the right music (without us talking about it) and thought of a little birthday surprise! Super nice and relaxed (we really made the most of our time... 🫣). Can only be recommended!

Have visited three times, every time the service was a bit slow, but the last time it was too long. Waited 1 hour 30 mins for food (we had booked the table, 18 on a Saturday). Other unhappy customers left while we were there, food was extremely slow to come out. Seemed like Deliveroo/Uber Eats orders were taking priority over people sitting in the restaurant. The food is nice, reasonable portions, good vegetarian selection. The cocktails are also nice but very expensive. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Well, service was okay. We waited here right at opening time but were only allowed in after 15 minutes. But we weren't allowed to sit down everywhere because "the seats here are for 4 people and not 2, if we have guests later we'll need the space". After 2 hours we were still the only ones in the restaurant but it was good. The order took a while, but it was delicious. However, the tacos are quite expensive for what you get and we were both still hungry afterwards. Mimi next door filled our stomachs, but I wouldn't go to Baborrito again.

These were the worst tacos I've eaten in Hamburg so far. Water ran out of all of them and no, it wasn't meat juice. In my personal opinion, completely *overpriced*. Not delivered. Sorry.

Great food with a suitable atmosphere, but unfortunately catastrophic waiting times for dishes that really don't require too much preparation. UPDATE: First of all: The food was really great, and the service from the waitress was also excellent - friendly, attentive and professional. But the waiting times were simply incomprehensible for me and my companion, especially for dishes that can normally be prepared quickly. Even in a busy restaurant, this shouldn't happen to this extent. Now to the owner's response: I find it completely inappropriate to suggest that I am intentionally giving a bad review. Why would I spend money at a restaurant, eat there, and then write a review just to damage the place? That doesn't make any sense. About the price: I wasn't there alone, but with another person. You can also – surprise! – order more than just one dish in a restaurant. Your calculation that the most expensive dish costs €17.90 is completely irrelevant. By the way, the price wasn't even €50, but afterwards I realized that we paid around €65 in total. So here again a completely unfounded statement. I would also like to note: I gave it three stars – that is in no way a “bad rating”. That doesn't mean that the restaurant is bad, nor that I wanted to downgrade it for no reason. I absolutely do not understand that objective criticism is followed by such, in my view, unprofessional justification. Instead of thinking about constructive criticism from the guests and perhaps reflecting on the waiting times, the attempt here is directly to discredit a legitimate opinion. A disappointing approach to feedback.

Very tasty food, very friendly and warm service. The tacos are recommended. The shop is a bit smaller but very cozy. Reservations are recommended for everyone, otherwise you may end up waiting. All in all, highly recommended! However, only cash payment possible.

Veeeery delicious food, but a few things to consider: it's a children free place (I guess too many nice decoration that can get broken) and they only accept cash (even though a two person meal costed us over 60 euros. It did make us wonder the reasons why they wouldn't accept card).

I've never experienced anything so cruel. Reserved online and specifically mentioned that we needed a high chair. The booking was accepted, otherwise there was no response. As we had to wait there in the narrow space, the waitress shouted to us that they don't have a high chair, but we can still sit there. I made a comment that it would be nicer if they had just called and let them know. Then a young man, apparently the manager, kicked us out! He said: "No, not with such an attitude, they should go!" And he just threw us out with two small children. My child is incredibly sad and no longer understands the world. What can I say, never this store again. If the children aren't wanted, that's completely fine, but then I have to know that! It was so unbelievably low-level! I read this store's responses to bad reviews here. How cheeky and unprofessional to discuss like that instead of accepting criticism and doing it better. It's just sad that you're in such a great location in the city, no one needs you.

I just ordered food here, sorry but it's anything but Mexican, just making burritos and making everything spicy isn't the real thing! I order guacamole and it's spicy?! Burrito, spicy?! Unfortunately inedible.

It was our first experience with Mexican food and we were thoroughly satisfied. It couldn't have been better. From the friendly service to the delicious food! It is definitely recommended to make a reservation.

Got there promptly at 6:00 p.m. Ordered food and drinks at 6:15 p.m. Got the starters at 6:40 p.m. Were very tasty. At 7:25 p.m. we say that we would like to pay for the appetizers and drinks, but then we have to leave because we can't afford it any other time. We were told to please take the food to go because it was almost ready. The waitress says that we should have let us know if we were pressed for time. Well, in any case, we pay for everything and the colleague hands the bill to the chef and says that they should prepare it quickly now. So nothing was finished. And you saw that too. Great food but unfortunately really terrible organization and communication. It could also have been communicated more clearly that cashless payments are also not possible.

In my honest Opinion, it was perfect. The atmosphere, the whole vibe , the food😍 I will keep going back to this place over and over again ! Also great Connection with the Bus. It’s at the university Library. It’s cozy .

So delicious. It tasted great. Service and kitchen very friendly and huge respect for everyone. Serving so many customers with a small kitchen is certainly very tiring, but the food tastes so good that the long wait is worth it. Price is also very fair and the furnishings and music are very pleasant. There is even the option to eat on cushions on the floor with small tables. Unfortunately I am very disappointed... We reserved a table at 6 p.m. We waited 1.5 hours for our food, so it arrived at 7:30 p.m. and at 7:40 p.m. the waitress told us that we had to be gone by 8 p.m. because the table would then be reserved for the next person. We didn't jump up straight away because some of us had still eaten. The waitress came back to us at 10 o'clock and said we had to leave now, the next ones were at the door. I've never experienced this before, where you only get a table for 2 hours (for 8 people). Either you leave it at 2 hours or the food has to come much earlier. None of us were full, it was quite loud, very cramped, in my opinion it wasn't easy to sit at the tables and the service shocked me. The food was okay but all in all we unfortunately won't eat there again and won't recommend it to others. Too bad

Saying ‘a little while’ shouldn’t turn into more than an hour. We arrived at 20:05, ordered around 20:15, and received our food at 21:30. Our review is truthful, not ‘antisocial.’ Perhaps you’ve never encountered customers who speak up, but I have worked in the restaurant industry myself, so I know how things work. In hospitality, ‘we were full’ is not an acceptable excuse for such long wait times. The restaurant's job is not only to serve quality food but also to ensure customers receive it in a reasonable timeframe. In this industry, the menu and seating capacity should be adjusted to match the kitchen and staff’s ability to handle service efficiently. That said, we obviously won’t be returning—whether you invite us back or not. A more professional approach would have been to acknowledge the delay, apologize, and assure future customers it wouldn’t happen again.

Location looks great! The food was also very tasty - unfortunately we had to wait a little longer (30 minutes) because the staff consists of 3 people. That doesn't necessarily have to be a problem, but it's 4 stars instead of 5. ☺️ Otherwise HIGHLY recommended!

A special place, but at least in my first experience positive. Very stylishly furnished. The service staff were very friendly and the food was tasty. You should definitely make a reservation because it seems to be very busy here. You can always see the small kitchen open in the room, which had a special and beautiful effect for me. Quite rightly so, I suppose. Take enough cash with you to pay. At least during our visit there was no option to pay by card. There's even an area called "Favorite Place" - next time I'll try to hang out there. Kind regards to the whole team - you've really created something wonderful - see you soon!

One of the best mexican food places in town and the best drinks you can get! Do try the Mango Rasta Man.

Food was good, however, we had to wait 2 hours to get our food. If it's busy it's fine, but at least let us know in advance if it will take this long. Edit: They take down negative reviews due to "Defamation" (Diffamierung) even though people had negative experiences at this restaurant

Our service staff spoke fluent German, Spanish and English, so it was also a great address for an international audience. The tequila and mezcal menu is varied and something new for Hamburg! I have never eaten such delicious Mexican food in the Hanseatic city! The taquitos tasted just as delicious as the ones in Oaxaca. The atmosphere is like a rocking Día de los Muertos. iComo mola! So absolutely recommended! We were able to pay by card. Keep it up! 👍 😎

We happened to be there and wanted something quick to eat. We were really impressed by the great decoration! Contrary to our other experiences with Mexican food in Germany, the food was very diverse, tasted great, full of colors and different tastes. We'd love to come back!

We came because of the many, very good reviews. The food and service were great and everything felt very familiar. The proximity to the people sitting next to us didn't bother us as we were still able to have a good conversation. The only thing I don't like but isn't worth deducting is Cash Only. It is understandable to want to avoid fees, but this approach is no longer appropriate. My suggestion is to offer card payment and pass the fees on to the customer. If you communicate this openly, it's not a problem. I was lucky that my friend had cash with her.

Even though the store was fully booked, we managed to get a table for 4 people until the next reservation. The kitchen was very quick and the food was extremely tasty! The quesedias were particularly excellent. If you are particularly hungry, you should order a little something to fill you up. We each shared tacos. The service is very friendly and accommodating. If you ever wanted to eat the best burritos or the Mexican food of your life, then you should never miss this place! We were four people and none of us have ever eaten Mexican food like this in our life before. I must try place in Hamburg. Ambience is lit. I must say that the service is quite slow because it took almost 45 minutes to get a burrito because the restaurant was also full, but it was all worth waiting.

The food was delicious, even if my Mexican husband wasn't really picked up. It wasn't authentic enough for him. What doesn't work at all is a broken toilet seat that has been repaired with sticky tape (punny alert!). We probably won't come back.
