Unfortunately, the service isn't the best. The food was generally tasty, but a bit overpriced. However, there was a really large selection.

The food is excellent, but a two-hour wait is abysmal. Plus, no card payments, so you'll need to carry cash.

Very tasty food, gluten-free and vegetarian dishes. Outside on Grindelallee, you have to put up with the traffic, but there are plants to screen the view. The ambiance inside has a very atmospheric Mexican feel. Unfortunately, card payments are not accepted (it's Hamburg, after all).

It was delicious 😋 but I don't have anything to compare it to. The restaurant was a bit cramped inside (especially with a stroller or wheelchair). Otherwise, the staff was friendly. What bothers me is that you can only pay in cash. That's just not up to date anymore.

Absolutely the best tacos I've ever known. I'm very skeptical when it comes to high-quality food, and this place impressed us. Homemade tortillas and delicious mango salad dressing. I also had my first margarita, and now I'm obsessed. He has his own recipes, and they're fantastic. Great quality at a good price. We'll be back.

Extremely delicious Mexican food. The food is excellent – fresh, authentic, and captivating with beautiful flavors. A reservation is definitely recommended. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and you simply feel at home. The service was super attentive, and contrary to the server's own opinion, I found we received everything in a good time and didn't have to wait long. Quite hefty prices for a Mexican restaurant (20 Euro for a burrito with cheese on top, 6 Euro for a bottle of beer) and we had to wait for an hour to get our food. The food itself was good, although not the best in Hamburg. The interior of the restaurant is very nice though.

The food was truly top-notch – super-delicious burritos, freshly prepared, and highly recommended. If you like good Mexican street food, this is the place for you. However, I'm deducting two stars because card payments weren't accepted. Although I was politely informed about this right away, I just don't think it's appropriate in 2025 to have to walk to the ATM first. It's a shame – if you paid by card, it would get full marks.

Delicious food. Ordered at 8:30 PM, food not on the table until 9:40 PM. It's packed, but there's room for improvement. It's hot inside and the air is bad. Outside, tiny tables on Autoposer Strasse. If the food hadn't been so delicious, it would have been one star less.

Super authentic, fantastic restaurant with amazing food!! Advance reservations are recommended! The wait for the food is a bit longer (as explained on the website), but it's worth it! A little tip: Just order the incredibly delicious Nachos Supreme beforehand, and you'll be sure to satisfy your hunger :) We'll be back!

Cash only! They mentioned it before i sat down, which i appreciated. ATM just nearby (end of street). Super accessible with a bus stop right out front. No lunch menu, so a but pricy. Burrito and burrito bowl were large portions and super delicious. I really liked the dressing on the side salad. The menu is quite extensive. I plan to come back again to try other items. Chicken Mole was super yummy.

We ate: Chipotle Pollo Burritos and Guac con Pollo Burritos, both topped with cheese. Taquitos con Carne. The food tasted good. The service needs improvement. With the taquitos, they didn't ask which two types of meat we wanted. We were told beforehand that we wanted to eat together. Unfortunately, the taquitos arrived early due to a disagreement in the kitchen... At first, the burritos looked like they were missing the cheese for the topping. The waitress couldn't say anything about it. So we had to test them ourselves, and the burritos were topped with cheese after all. Nevertheless, one of us finished eating before the other two... Unfortunately, there was no beer on tap. Cash only! It's also worth noting that there's no fan inside. So, you were sweating quite a bit... All in all, there's still room for improvement.

We had a wonderful dinner at Baborrito. It was delicious and the portions were generous. We didn't have a reservation (it was a Monday) and still got a table. The ambiance is Mexican. Overall, it's a bit dark, but cozy. We felt comfortable and can recommend the restaurant.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The friendly welcome and service, the food was good and plentiful. I have a tomato allergy, which means I can't eat raw tomatoes. They helped me and made it right, even though almost all dishes contain pico de gallo (salsa), which is synonymous with Mexican food, like spicy food. The time from ordering to serving the food was good. I also liked the local water; I sipped the bottle like it was nothing. (Maybe that was because it was sweltering outside!) The cocktail menu is small but good... Cash is the order of the day here, so don't forget to fill your Portomanie with sips before you visit. I'll definitely be back when I'm in Hamburg. Note on accessibility: For someone with a walker/small wheelchair, the space would be fine, but a large wheelchair would be difficult to get inside. Alternatively, there are tables outside the restaurant. I had no problem with my walking sticks. There were a few small steps leading up to the restrooms, which might be a bit difficult for someone needing assistance. But there is a small shop (Grindelallee 26) where you can pick up takeaway food.

Restaurant with very good Mexican food. Unfortunately, it was very busy the evening we were there, so we had to wait a long time. We were rewarded for the wait with excellent drinks (a great margarita) and excellent food (the tacos al padrón were amazing). Great service, super delicious, would go back anytime. During peak times, the food takes quite a while, but this is clearly communicated beforehand, so it's not a problem.

Very delicious food, nothing to complain about. The service was also very friendly. Unfortunately, the prices had gone up by almost €3 compared to the menu photos, so we were a bit shocked by the prices. Likewise, a very small margarita with lots of ice costs €13.50, which I thought was a lot for such a small drink. It's also unfortunately very noisy sitting outside, as it's on the main street, but the restaurant is nicely decorated inside. I would come back again from time to time :)

I went for lunch today with my Mexican girlfriend. Although she's always very skeptical about Mexican restaurants, we were both very impressed and it was 100% worth a visit 😊 On our next trip to Hamburg, BABORRITO will definitely be on our list again.

I'm Mexican🇲🇽 and I've been living in Germany for a while now, but so far I've been able to find a good place to serve Mexican food🥰. The food was delicious😋😮‍💨🤌🏻, the atmosphere was excellent👌🏻, the staff was super friendly, and the food was delivered to your table super fast. The prices are very affordable too. I definitely recommend it 100% to my fellow countrymen who want to remember and have a good meal like they were at home, and to those who want to try Mexican food without leaving Germany. So far, this is the best place for me, and I highly recommend it.

A very authentic Mexican restaurant, if not the most authentic in Hamburg (unfortunately, Hamburg's only other restaurants are Greek and Italian, and you'll find them on every street corner 😕)! Interesting decor and very cozy inside. The food took a long time, but it was very good!

A really cute little restaurant. Discovered by chance. Super friendly service. Ask for what you'd like (with coriander or baked with cheese). Large selection of food and drinks. Vegan dishes are also available. Everything is freshly prepared and well-seasoned. If you like it spicy, you can ask for it or choose the dish you like directly from the menu. There's outdoor and indoor seating, and a small terrace. It looks clean and well-maintained. We would go here again! Thank you for a lovely evening.

we ordered delivery from this place and we loved it ! food was properly packaged and the special instructions were cafefully read . the sizes are generous and the tacos are very tasty. We ordered with Wolt , which arrived quite fast.

We were given a time slot between 6 and 8 p.m., and the food arrived at 7:50 p.m., but we had 10 minutes more time. The restaurant was very busy, but the service staff were few and very busy. The ambiance is very colorful.

Authentic, friendly service and super helpful, even with kids who can't decide because they don't know what they're ordering... ;-) The price/performance ratio is also totally reasonable! The food was very tasty. Everything was a bit spicy as standard, and then there were great sauces to make it even hotter.

Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. Although I had sat down at a free table as usual, a member of staff asked me to get up without any empathetic explanation, stating that all the tables were supposedly reserved – even though there were no reservation signs visible and several seats remained empty. I found it particularly strange that I was then told I was only allowed to take one piece of the chocolates laid out on all the tables. This kind of treatment was humiliating to me and in no way hospitable. I would have appreciated more courtesy and respect – even if all the tables had indeed been reserved, there is a more respectful way to communicate this. Based on my experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant.

I've been there three times now, and the food was always delicious. However, the wait time got longer and longer. From the initial 30 minutes, I had to wait 1.5 hours on my last visit, even though the restaurant wasn't full. Additionally, our order was delivered to another table, which caused a further delay. The wait time is too long for fast food! Recommended for women who spend 1.5 hours or more chatting anyway, but not for me at this wait time.
