The best and only real Japanese Sushi in town !!! Great!!!

Great fish-to-rice ratio and a wide selection, including the occasional Chu-Toro, which also explains the higher prices. We always enjoy coming back and highly recommend Captain Sushi to guests looking for authentic sushi.

Very bad service, expensive and low quality food, not recommended at all, the girl’s attitude is very bad, the food is expensive and there is very small amount of sushi. You will pay a lot and you can’t even get full. I don’t recommend anyone to go there because you pay a lot of money to get incredibly bad service by waiter and low quality food.

For anyone who really appreciates Japanese cuisine, this is the place!! The people who comment "not enough choice" don't understand authentic Japanese cuisine at all. Dishes like Zaru Soba and Oden are rarely found in Germany. This restaurant offers both, and very authentically. The sushi is also great: the rice portion at sushi is just right - not like many other all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants, where you quickly fill up with huge portions of rice.

We went to Captain Sushi today for an all you can eat meal and were thrilled. When we read some reviews we hoped everything would work out. Some said the rice was mushy but it was perfect. The selection was very good. Also various soups and starters, sushi in all forms. The service was also very friendly. So when we are in Bremen again we will definitely visit Captain Sushi again.

As an Asian, this place really make me feel like I’m in Japan. Super Japanese style and O do believe the chef is also Japanese. Every sushi is freshly made, worth to wait a while. Also, some of the dish needs to make the reservation. The price is not low but it do have a nice vibe.

I have been a customer for many years and cannot understand the bad reviews here. Price-performance is great, little rice and a lot of fish, high quality. The only sushi restaurant in Bremen and the surrounding area that is close to Japanese standards. As always, we had a lot to choose from. There's not so much nonsense, just good Japanese food.

Went there spontaneously at lunchtime. Everything is freshly prepared and correspondingly delicious. The prices on the lunch menu are also great!

It was most horrible sushi I ever had all my life. The rice was spongy , it was not fresh at all. After I had one bite I could not eat sushi rolls. I tried to eat the fish alone since I was very hungry but I was not sure the freshness so I stopped. The lady who served the food she asked if something is wrong I explained but she did not care still charged us the full amount and extra 1.5 euro which I don’t know for what. Probably for using the toilet. Such a shame to have such establishment in a touristic city like Bremen . Very bad food very bad management. Never go there

High expectations, unfortunately disappointed. Ordered via delivery. Unfortunately the taste was below average, the rolls fell apart. Price performance doesn't fit. There is better and significantly better sushi in Bremen.

Without a reservation, we spontaneously ate the All You Can Eat on a Monday. The sushi was of good quality and the positive thing is that there isn't a huge mass of rice under the fish. However, the variety could be a bit greater.

Called on Saturday evening at half past eight to see if they still had room, yes, come on... when we arrived 10 minutes later the whole place was empty. And yes that is of course a bad sign, but yes we were hungry and thought let's try it... what can I say... never again, the quality of the food was not good, it did not taste fresh and in the background we heard a ping of a microwave... so if you are around here you better go one door further... and it was pricey too

We wanted to try out the Captain, despite the high price. We were here on a Tuesday for all u can eat. Accordingly, we arrived there with certain expectations. First of all I can say: these were disappointed. What we liked: We sat down and the belt was already full of food. The ratio of fish to rice is very good. We also really liked the things we ate. Salmon, tuna or another very tender, buttery fish were our favorites. What we didn't like: The variety was simply missing. Of the variants shown in the pictures in front of the restaurant, only a fraction could be seen for over 2 hours. And by that I don't mean the mussels, which are offered on another day. The rolls also all tasted too similar. Above all, the mushy consistency ran through almost every single piece. There were no well-thought-out alternatives here like peanuts or tempura dough, fried onions, crunchy rocket or whatever - a shame The soy sauce was on the too salty side. At one point the conveyor belt was full of things we didn't want, with each being 4-5 pieces of sushi. After a long wait and the realization that nothing would change that quickly, as the other guests also took less from this point on, we finally left. The service became even more sloppy when we expressed criticism at the end. Conclusion : Far too expensive for a very monotonous culinary experience.

Zwischen City und Schlachte sehr zentral gelegen ist dieses sehr schöne Restaurant absolut zu empfehlen. Ausgezeichnetes Sushi und sehr aufmerksamer Service.

There seemed to be a problem with the store's floor plan, and the seat I was given was right in front of the toilet door. I could constantly hear the sounds of flushing the toilet and opening and closing the toilet seat, which made me feel uncomfortable. The sushi rice is small and the wasabi has no taste. To top it all off, the landlady drew water from the tap in the washroom in the restroom and used that water to boil coffee. . . I felt sick and left the store as soon as possible. There seemed to be a problem with the layout of the restaurant, and the seat where I was sitting was right in front of the bathroom door. I was uncomfortable because I could constantly hear the sound of the toilet flushing and the toilet seat opening and closing .Also I had a terrible unpleasant smell from the toilet. The sushi was small and the wasabi was tasteless. To top it off, the waitress was using water from the tap in the bathroom and using it to boil coffee. I was so disgusted that I left the restaurant as soon as possible.

Food of poor quality. €28 for all you can eat is definitely too much, considering the variety of meals on the conveyor belt. The service was very nice and took the plates away efficiently.

Got scolded for peeing here and got humiliated because she scolded me for so long with a lecture. If she wanted a euro she could have just asked. It also didn't look like a delicious menu and super expensive. Don't reccommend unless you want to get scolded by an angry woman who can't cook properly

I love sushi and I wasn't disappointed here! Everything is freshly and visibly prepared and the food is very authentic! This is how you imagine sensible sushi! There is an all-you-can-eat offer from Monday to Thursday. On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday there is the "normal" version, on Wednesday the luxury edition! Both highly recommended at the bar! But there is also the option of eating at the table.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Captain Sushi, which I highly recommend to any sushi lover. The atmosphere is very authentic and makes for a truly special experience. I would particularly like to highlight the funny and friendly waitress who made the evening even more enjoyable. A highlight of the restaurant is the sushi master, who prepares the sushi creations right in front of the guests. It was fascinating to watch him work and experience the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Overall a great evening with excellent food and great service.

Very tasty and great quality. We sat at the carousel and had a lot of fun being able to choose the plates and watch them being prepared. The service is very friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back!

THE real Japanese in the area - absolute recommendation, Wednesday evening at the bar 👌

It was a very nice Wednesday evening. On Wednesdays there is a luxury all-you-can-eat buffet with different types of fish. I have been to Japan several times and can say that for me Captain Sushi is the only sushi restaurant in Bremen with an authentic Japanese taste. It's not cheap, but definitely recommended.

The fish was fresh, but it didn't stand out a bit from supermarket sushi, which was a real shame since it wasn't that cheap either. The chopsticks were really a disgrace because of all the splinters. It really wasn't necessary

The only complicated thing is that the menu can be ordered and served at different times of the day....e.g. until 6 p.m. or from 6 p.m. or from 8 p.m.

The food was very tasty! I was there for lunch and ate Japanese curry alongside green tea and they made me extra dangos, even though they aren't offered at lunch.

Wir gehen gerne Mittwochs zum Deluxe Sushi all you can eat und sind immer wieder begeistert. Hier gibt es richtiges Sushi mit reichlich frischem Fisch und anderen Kostbarkeiten. Es wird immer darauf geachtet, dass genügend Auswahl auf dem Band steht und auch auf Wünsche wird immer sehr freundlich eingegangen. So ist für jeden immer was dabei. Das Personal ist immer Aufmerksam und bedient zügig. Preislich ist das AYCE um einiges teurer als bei den bekannten Bremer Ketten, dafür besteht das Sushi aber auch nicht zu > 80 % aus Reis.

Non so se è stato un caso ma suhi all yuo can eat al nastro non vale 25 euro a testa, eravamo in 4 al carrello 2 coppie e tutti dopo 10 minuti abbiamo capito che quello che girava sul nastro non sarebbe cambiato, delusionetotale!! 1 ora di cena è sul nastro continuavano a girare le stesse cose a metà serata nessuno prendeva più dal nastro in attesa che arrivasse qualcosa di nuovo ma nulla! Poca scelta ad esempio niente carpaccio, ne sashimi, gunkan, edamame o tartare, classici del ristorante sushi, sul nastro più che altro uramaki enormi, hossomaki sempre uguali, e nighiri, poi non so cosa centrino i friarielli col Sushi ma va be per Fortuna c'erano che insieme ai funghi chiodini hanno dato un alternativa ma sarei andato altrove per quelli!! 50 euro spesi peggio non saprei!! NO... BOCCIATO!!

Wir gehen schon lang zu Captain Sushi. Es ist immer wieder ein Genuss. Wir sind immer sehr zufrieden und werden sehr gut bedient.

Seit mehreren Jahren hatte ich schon vor diesen Laden zu testen. Schade, dass meine Erwartungen nicht erfüllt wurden. Die Lage und das äußere Erscheinungsbild haben mich großes erwarten lassen. Die Auswahl war wirklich nicht groß , viele Sachen an diesem Abend nicht verfügbar. Das Personal war freundlich aber nicht das schnellste , es war nicht viel los , deswegen leider nicht verständlich. Die Qualität war gut aber nicht den Preisen entsprechend. Es war wirklich VIEL zu teuer im Vergleich zu anderen Läden in Bremen. Ich bin wirklich gewillt gerne viel Geld fürs Essen auszugeben , aber das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis muss stimmen. Kein zweites Mal , schade

Schönes japanisches lokal, habe mich gefühlt wie in klein Tokyo 🗼 Schönes Ambiente, leckeres Essen. Vorherige Reservierung wird erwünscht. Es gibt lediglich leichte Verständigungsprobleme mit dem Personal.

de sushi tijdens het all you can eat was prima. Het wordt vers bereid aan de draaitafel. De inrichting niet echt gezellig maar wel schoon. Het was een beetje rommelig toen we binnenkwamen, waarschijnlijk omdat er allemaal bestellingen binnen gekomen waren. De bediening was niet overdreven vriendelijk maar correct - zakelijk. Al met al lekker gegeten voor een redelijke prijs.

Really comfy atmosphere with dim lighting. Very cute and comfortable.

Unfortunately, we thought this place was “all you can eat” place but that doesn’t apply on weekends, which they should have been clear when we entered the restaurant instead of after eating whole meal. As a Japanese, the price for sushi didn’t match with the quality of sushi. The fish was not fresh and rice was definitely not well prepared for sushi. This place might be fine for all you can eat, but definitely not for paying “a la carte” price. I will not going back.

Sehr leckeres Essen in einer entspannten Atmosphäre.

Die Ramen Nudeln waren ok. Hatte in diesem Restaurant aber irgendwie gehofft, Sushi am Band vorzufinden. Da ich nicht so gerne Fischeier esse und die bei fast jedem Menu dabei waren, war das für mich keine Option. Die Herrentoilette war leider auch nicht wirklich sauber.

Unkompliziertes, klassisches, frisches Sushi. Sehr lecker. Das Ambiente ist ein bisschen sehr spelunkig und in die Jahre gekommen.

Sehr lecker, wirkt absolut authentisch. Ein Stern Abzug, im All you can eat keine option mit Hähnchen oder vegetarisch. Aber für fischliebhaber volle 5 Sterne.

I had a great time at Captain Sushi. The owners are very nice and smiling a lot. The food was served quickly and the taste was great. I highly recommend it !

Positiv: das Essen war lecker. Negativ: der Rest. Wir waren zu viert da und haben über eine Stunde auf das Essen gewartet obwohl das Lokal so gut wie leer war. Das Servicepersonal war auch extrem überfordert und hatte immer wieder Nachfragen zu unserer Bestellung. Während der Wartezeit hatte man das Gefühl, das unser Tisch aktiv vermieden wird, keine Nachfrage bezüglich Bestellung neuer Getränke, Hinweise auf die Zeit bis das Essen kommt etc. Als das Essen dann kam haben Teile der Bestellung entweder komplett gefehlt oder trotz erneuter Nachfrage unsererseits ob die Bestellung richtig aufgenommen wurde (wurde so vom Personal auch bejaht) in falscher Anzahl geliefert. Insgesamt ein sehr enttäuschender Abend.

All you can Eat für 25€ Super, Ambiente und Service auch. Wir kommen gerne wieder 😀

Lecker, saulecker! Es war nie eine Mangel an Sushi da und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Mein Eindruck war wirklich mehr als positiv! Die mitarbeiter waren, als ich da war, sehr freundlich! Der Laden ist kleiner wie ich dachte aber das Ambiente war sehr ansprechend! Geschmacklich für mich alles eine 10/10! Und auch abwechslungsreich! Man muss halt gucken was kommt! Kleiner Tipp( warme Suppen, beobachten wenn sie frisch drauf gestellt werden sonst kalt)

Schlechter Service und lange Wartezeiten

Katastrophaler Service ! Über 1 Stunde auf das Essen gewartet welches dann auch noch drittklassig war. Vollkommen überfordert mit dem Service und Gastfreundschaft ist nicht vorhanden !

Das war nichts. Eigentlich hatten wir gehofft mittags schnell ein schönes Sushi zu bekommen. Kann man vergessen. Wir warten, ob wohl das Restaurant kaum gefüllt war, eine gute Stunde und bekamen dann das sehr mäßige Essen. Bitte nicht, wirklich schrecklich.

War mit meiner Freundin zum Valentinstag dort. Kurzes Fazit: Es gab eigentlich immer die gleichen Sachen auf dem Band und das sehr Fisch dominiert. z.B. einfaches Sushi mit Gurke gab es nicht. Generell wirklich sehr sehr wenig Auswahl, keine Krabenchips, kein Wackelpudding usw. Sehr enttäuschend, war eine Erfahrung zum vergessen. Wir kommen hier nicht mehr her.

ich finde die Sushi sind großer serviert und original lecker. leider wenn es sehr wenig Kunde gibt, der macht immer gleiche Arten von Sushi.

Goeie sushi en vriendelijke bediening. De sushi was lekker en zonder mayonaise. Geen 'all you can eat' vreetschuur maar compact en bescheiden in het centrum can Bremen.

Soooooo delicious 🤤 It was a real Japanese Shabu-shabu!!!! I wish they had a Ponzu as well but anyway, it was awesome.

Kenne in Bremen noch Sakura, Yakumi, Kabuki und alle sind um längen besser. Sehr unaufmerksame Bedienung, der Fisch wirkte alt. Mochi waren gut, rest unterirdisch. Wenn dies meine erste Sushi Erfahrung gewesen wäre, würde ich nie wieder Sushi essen und das sage ich als Sushifan.

Es war solala.....nicht viel Auswahl an Sushi aber dafür habe ich soviel Salz gurken gegessen wie noch nie....

Essen ist sehr lecker, leider sind die Rolls zerfallen. Die Atmosphäre ist schön.

Die Schärfe Fischsuppe war sehr gut, echt lecker. Doch mit dem Sushi war ich sehr enttäuscht. Es war nicht gut. Der Reis war sehr fest. Sushi gefüllt mit Ente, war furchtbar. Die Ente war hart. Die Nori Algenblätter waren ertrem fest. So ein schlechtes Sushi habe ich noch nie gegessen...

Wir waren am Mi zum Luxus-All you can eat. Es war wirklich der Hammer! Richtig viel Auswahl vom Allerfeinsten. Es wurde immer wieder nachgelegt und es gab frischesten Fisch (Sashimi, Jacobsmuscheln etc), tolle Salate und überhaupt viele Highlights, die wir nie zuvor gegessen haben. Wir wurden wahnsinnig freundlich bedient und wir haben uns den ganzen Abend sehr wohl gefühlt! Preis-Leistung top!!! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall ganz bald wieder.

Absolutes „Muss“ ! Perfekt! Mega lecker und ein Koch, der weiß worum es geht und wie es zubereitet wird! Klasse!

Der Service war leider alles andere als gut. Wir kamen für das All you can eat, die ersten 10min war alles in Ordnung, danach gab es nur noch verschiedene Salate und eine Suppe auf dem Fließband. Ein Schild sagt man solle nachfragen, wenn einem etwas fehlt. Also fragt ich höflich, ob es noch mehr Makirollen und ähnliches geben könnte, es gab ein sehr schroffes "Nö" diese lagen aber sichtbar hinter dem Band und hätten nur geschnitten werden müssen. Die Rollen kamen erst gute 45min später, in der Zeit hat man versucht sich mit Salaten über Wasser zu halten und war demnach satt als der Fisch kam.

Waren mit 5 Personen zum normalen AYCE. Das Sushi ist sehr authentisch und verzichtet auf Experimente. Es hat gute Qualität und bietet ein gutes Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis. Die Atmosphäre ist eher kühl aber ebenso recht authentisch, nirgendwo in Bremen kann man sich so sehr wie in Japan fühlen wie hier. Was uns aber allen sehr negativ aufgefallen ist: Die Stimmung im Restaurant war sehr unangenehm und angespannt. Das lag zum einen daran, dass es generell sehr ruhig ist und sich quasi niemand traut, sich in Normallautstärke zu unterhalten. Den anderen Beitrag dazu hat allerdings der Sushikoch geleistet: eine so muffelige und abweisende Art und Weise habe ich noch nie erlebt. Man fühlte sich als Gast eher geduldet als willkommen. Evtl. hatte er einen schlechten Tag, aber so etwas vertreibt in der Regel die Kundschaft. So aber war das Essen gut, die Stimmung aber abschreckend.

Super leckeres "running Sushi" !!

Super Sushi mit guter Auswahl beim AYCE Angebot. Sollte etwas nicht dabei sein wird es auf Anfrage schnell frisch zubereitet. Die sanitären Anlagen müssten allerdings dringend mal erneuert werden....

Das wohl schlechteste Sushi, das es in Bremen für Geld zu finden gibt. Lange Wartezeit endete mit einer Suppe, die nicht zu beanstanden war. Leide aber auch nicht mehr. Nach einer weitere deutlichen Wartezeit erschienen Sushiplatten, die an Kreativität schwerlich zu unterbieten waren. Die Frische war bestenfalls vom Vortag, der Reis bereits am Auseinanderfallen. Geschmacklich neutral bis spontaner Schluckverweigerung. Zumindest war der Preis von höchster Qualität und damit dem servierten Essen in keiner Weise angemessen. Im Fazit eine Erkenntnis klüger: Hier nie wieder!

Waren um 18 Uhr da (Reservierung). Nach der Bestellung hieß es, das es eine Stunde dauern würde, bis das Essen fertig sei. Tatsächlich kam das Essen erst um 19:45 Uhr und dann waren die Portionen auch noch klein. Als Kompensation für 6 Personen gab es 2 kleine Schälchen Salzbohnen. Ich kenne Gastfreundschaft aus Japan ganz anders. Hier wirkte alles geizig und unfreundlich.

All you can eat: Super leckeres Sushi, direkt vor der Nase zubereitet mit noch leckereren Variationen und Beilagen, wie Miso-Suppe und Seetang Salat etc. Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Absolut angemessener Preis von 25€ für das All you can eat Angebot. Top Tipp: Den Haus Reiswein (kalt) bestellen! Wird in einem hölzernen Kästchen serviert und schmeckt sehr mild. Hatte ich so noch nie!

Es war ein sehr lecker Sushi-Abend. Alles Sushi und auch die anderen, sonstigen Lebensmittel waren von guter Qualität und es hat alles sehr gut geschmeckt 😋 Etwas mehr Auswahl hätte es sein können, gerade auch für den Preis, aber man muss bedenken, dass der Zulauf ja auch jetzt erst wieder losgeht. Wir waren aber trotz allem zufrieden!! Und was uns auch sehr gut gefallen hat ... die wirklich ruhige Atmosphäre 🙌🏻

Ich habe bisher in keiner deutschen Stadt so frischen Fisch gegessen. Alles top, ein sehr gutes Restaurant.

Für mich das beste Sushi - Restaurant in Bremen. Dabei werden die Gerichte von einem japanischen Koch zubereitet. Preislich womöglich etwas teurer als die Konkurrenz, aber der Geschmack ist es wert 👍

Der Sake-Triple ist mal ne tolle Idee, aber das Ambiente braucht dringend Verbesserung. Japanisches Flair kommt da nur mässig auf. Die Gerichte hingegen sind superlecker.

Wo soll ich anfangen... 1 "Koch" für alles, all-you-can-eat, Bestellungen vom Tisch und lieferando ist zu wenig. Wir haben 30min auf etwas neues gewartet. Nichts. Keine Nachfragen. Dazu die ganze Zeit ein trauriges total offensichtliches falsches Lächeln vom "Koch". Die ganze Küche ist in die Jahre gekommen. Das Wasser läuft ununterbrochen. Sehr viel Frischhaltefolie. Das Essen selbst ist so-la-la. Alles sehr salzig. Die 2 Servicekräfte sind mit Service, Geschirr, Bestellungen unterbesetzt, wie die Küche selbst auch. Schade.

Ramen (Suppe mit Nudeln, Algen, Schweinefleisch-Medallions) war schnell auf dem Tisch und hat gut geschmeckt.
