Food was great in such a short time! The fish was fried to perfection, the mashed potatoes were great! Of course fish can be frozen goods, everything is great!

I have been a guest here several times over the past few years and have always been satisfied. Today, however, I was disappointed: the Captain's-style fish plate was characterized by fillets bulging with bones and soggy fried potatoes dripping with fat. Absolutely unacceptable at today's restaurant prices. I'll avoid the place for a while.

If you like frozen schnitzel and salad from a bucket with ready-made sauce, you're in good hands here.

Stood in front of closed doors at 7 p.m. even though the restaurant was supposed to be open until 10 p.m. We then got something to eat from the local competition. Update: The restaurant now closes at around 6:30 p.m. because holiday guests are probably not there due to the season. Ate plaice with fried potatoes today. The frozen plaice pieces were watery and the breading was limp. The fried potatoes were swimming in fat and were also soggy. Or maybe the chef was just having a bad day. In any case, the food wasn't worth the price. After pointing out the unsatisfactory performance, we were served coffee on the house. Anyway, the waiter was very nice. A notice: In my opinion, the restaurant is only suitable for eating in the large outdoor area. Depending on where you sit, you have a good view of the harbor. Inside there are only three uncomfortable wall spaces in the hallway.

Frueher konnte man hier sehr gut essen, leider hat sich das geaendert. Die bratkartoffel haben auf uns schon seit dem morgen gewartet, total fettig und aufgeweicht. Der dorsch wurde auch in sehr alten fett gebraten, dunkle fettspuren auf dem fisch.

I really had a wow effect today. The fish sandwiches are super tasty and for me two are just the right amount to fill me up. We at Billich Services in and around Schwerin love fish sandwiches and particularly appreciate the regional cuisine here, as it is not easy on the Baltic Sea to maintain this trade with the quality that everyone would like to have locally. Please hang in there, we think it's great and would be happy to come back to you.

Richtig schlecht essen für richtig viel Geld! Man bekommt hier Tiefkühlbackfisch und der war wahrscheinlich schon seit Stunden in einer Warmhaltebox. Ekelhaft. Auf Nachfrage nur Schulterzucken und Unverständnis. Ein Kinderteller für 9,90€ mit so wenigen Pommes, das man die kaum sehen konnte. An der Tafel am Eingang werden Angebote angepriesen, die zum selben Preis in der Karte stehen. Touristenabzocke. Einfach vorbeigehen ist hier die beste Wahl!

A nice fish restaurant on the Salzhaff promenade in Rerik. Cozy atmosphere. I ordered the fish plate with 3 different fish fillets and I have to say that I was totally thrilled. The taste was excellent and there were 2 delicious types of dips. There are not only fish dishes, but also burgers with fries and other dishes without fish. The vegetarian potato soup was also very tasty. The staff was very friendly and asked every now and then whether everything was OK and whether anything else was wanted. I can recommend the restaurant 100%.

My wife had a plaice and I had a fish plate both with fried potatoes. The plaice really wasn't worth the price, it was bathed in oil. I haven't eaten such dry fish in a long time. The fried potatoes were also called mashed potatoes. Everything had no taste without salt and pepper. I know you can still season it.

We can NOT agree with the bad reviews. This restaurant is simply delicious, we had dinner there every day during our vacation and ate our way through the menu with 5 people. No matter what we ate, it was simply delicious. The service is super nice, very attentive and also up for a joke. Even the boss is wonderfully relaxed, just like the rest of the wait staff. We were looking for a fish restaurant, because from the middle of Germany you don't go to the sea to put a pizza in your feed hatch. Uncle Google showed us Captain Flint for the early hour. Parking lot nearby and headed to Captain Flint. The restaurant is located right near the boat harbor in Rerik. There is a very nice area outside to sit and eat. We sat in a small hut that was also set up there. The map is explained very clearly and in a funny way. Starter, a fish soup, was perfect as it should be, main courses (fish plate with 4 different fish and herring plate with fried potatoes) were very, very tasty with a dark beer. Staff friendly and attentive. Would eat there again at any time.

Fried potatoes are kept warm and the side salad also had better days, it was brown. An espresso should iron that out. And the hardest thing is that you are asked if you don't want to pay yet. The drinks had not yet been consumed.

Waren heute 2.7.24 da Wetter war schlecht deswegen kaum Gäste da. Personal der deutschen sprach nicht sonderlich fit. Falsche Getränke bekommen. Ein Fisch war rosa und glasig. Das dem Personal gesagt und nur ein Schulter Zucken bekommen. Aber vollen Preis zahlen müssen. War das erste und letzte mal.

Rerik den 26.06.2024 gegen 17:45 Uhr. Vor dem Restaurant stand aussen ein Angebotsschild. " Backfisch XXL plus Kartoffelsalat für 12,50 E." Gutes Angebot .Im Restaurant bestellten wir dieses Angebot.Was wir bekamen war ein Stück Fisch von etwa 10 cm x 5 cm.Von XXL keine Spur. Wir sprachen das Personal dbzg an.Man sagte uns, das was draußen steht interressiert nicht, Auch in der Speisekarte wurde dieses Angebot in der XXL Version angeboten. Der Geschäftsführer lies sich nicht blicken schickte eine seiner Angestellten, die uns auch mitteilte ,dass sie dbzg auch schon mehrere Beschwerden an ihn weitergegeben hat. Wir brauchten das Essen nicht zu bezahlen.Als wir das Restaurant verließen hatte man auf dem Aussenschild schnell das XXL gelöscht.

Contrary to the opening times shown on the Internet, the restaurant was unfortunately closed in the low season. We requested a reservation on the website 3 weeks before our arrival. Unfortunately there was no indication that the restaurant was on holiday during the requested time. Too bad!!!

A visit to the harbor in Rerik includes a meal with Captain Flint. This time we sat outside, we had currywurst which was delicious. The staff was friendly and everything was served very quickly. The view of the harbor is also really good. We'd love to come back. Update: We were there again a few days ago and think it's a real shame that the old, rustic ambience is no longer there, but only 3 small 2-person tables in the interior - right next to the entrance to the kitchen. Unfortunately, the old room had to give way to the "fish sandwich window"; you can almost only sit outside. Furthermore, we are of the opinion that the owner changed because only foreign employees were on site - and the change certainly also brought about the change in the interior. In the summer it might still be okay to sit outside, but in the fall/winter it gets too cold. Unfortunately, we won't really come to eat with you anymore because we don't really like the atmosphere anymore, the food is good, but sometimes quite expensive for small portions!

Captain Flint war seit Jahren unser Stammlokal in Rerik. Allerdings geht es seit dem Umbau qualitativ sichtbar bergab. Vom schön detailreichen und maritimen Flair einer alten Hafenkneipe, den wir so geliebt haben, ist nichts mehr geblieben - das neue und farblose Konzept der Massenabfertigung spricht uns überhaupt nicht an. Die gemütlichen Sitzecken im Innenraum gibt es nicht mehr, nur noch wenige kleine Tische für max. 2 Personen, der Rest muss draußen vorlieb nehmen - was im Frühjahr, bzw. Herbst einfach zu kalt zum sitzen ist. Auch das Essen hat an Qualität eingebüßt und ist obendrein immer teurer geworden - das beste Beispiel hierfür ist der "Captains Teller" mit den 3 Filetstücken für jetzt inzwischen 19,99 €. Filets sind es schon lange keine mehr, eher kleine Fisch-Brocken, die obendrein bei uns ziemlich trocken waren - für fast 20 Euro kann man da mehr erwarten. Der Service lässt auch merklich nach und kommt eher unmotiviert rüber, Preis-Leistung passt nicht mehr. Zudem ist diese leider nun auf Fastfood -Lokal getrimmte Örtlichkeit im Gegensatz zu früher keine Option mehr für uns. Für uns war es definitiv der letzte Besuch bei Captain Flint - das können andere definitiv besser!

Waren jetzt schon das 2mal hier. Kellner waren nett, zuvorkommend und das Essen sowie Getränke waren schnell auf dem Tisch. Eierkuchen, Pommes mit Nuggets und Fisch hat den Kids geschmeckt 🤷‍♂️ , die Eierkuchen waren auch lecker. Kann nichts negatives sagen. Wir waren zufrieden 👍

Teurer Imbiss, kennen das Restaurant von früheren Urlauben hier, kein Sitzplatz mehr drin zu finden,nur kleine Tische für zwei. Der toll gestaltete Gastraum der einmal war ist nicht mehr vorhanden. Die Bedienung gibt sich Mühe. Esse ging so. Im Herbst sehr frisch um draußen zu essen. Wir kommen nicht mehr wieder. Zu teuer für das angebotene Essen

Auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam geworden sind wir wegen der positiven Bewertung. Enttäuschenderweise kann ich diese nicht erwidern. Ich hatte den XXL Backfisch mit Bratkartoffeln bestellt, in nicht einmal 5 min hatte ich meinen Teller vor mir, mit einem Tief kühl ähnlichem paniertem Fisch, der bedauerlicherweise schon sehr matschig war, an den Stellen wo die Remoulade drauf war. Zum Service kann ich bedauerlicherweise ebenso wenig Positives äußern. Die Kommunikation war mit einem der beiden Kellnern sehr schwierig, außerdem saß er lieber an einem Tisch schräg gegenüber von uns und hat geraucht. Der andere Kellner war bedauerlicherweise auch nicht wirklich höflich, als wir unseren Nachtisch bestellen wollten, kam nur ein Seufzer und „is aber letzte“ daraufhin haben wir beschlossen auf unseren Nachtisch zu verzichten. Im Hintergrund (19:50 war es zu der Zeit, wo wir bestellt hatten, das Restaurant hat offiziell bis 22:00 Uhr geöffnet) wurden alles Kissen zusammen geräumt, was für eine große Unruhe gesorgt hat. Wir können das Restaurant leider nicht weiterempfehlen!

Ich hatte den XXL Backfisch bestellt, leider wurde ich etwas enttäuscht. Ich hätte mir gewünscht das die Remoulade neben dem Backfisch serviert wird und nicht oben drauf. Denn so wird der Backfisch sehr schnell matschig. So schnell wie das Essen kam, kann der Backfisch leider auch nicht frisch gewesen sein. Der Service war leider auch nicht der beste, ich fand ihn unproffessionell und Kritik unfähig.

Laut Karte "Captainsteller mit 3 verschiedenen Filets ", bekommen 3 Schwanzenden, sehr klein, für sage und schreibe 19,90€. Schämt Euch.

Dieses Restaurant hat mich vom letzten Besuch zu jetzt sehr positiv überrascht. Die Aussenterasse lädt sehr zum Plauschen und verweilen ein. Die Essenskarte hat mich persönlich hin und wieder ein kleinen schmunzeln ins Gesicht gezaubert. Für die kleinen witzigen Erklärungen. Sehr schöne und leckere Fischkarte, wo selbst ich mal das Essen aufgeschafft habe. Das Personal freundlich, flink und umherschauend . Das Essen war nicht zu teuer, auch Hunde sind willkommen. Wir kommen garantiert wieder. Macht weiter so!!!

Das Essen war ok, aber der Fisch etwas fade. Die Senfsoße hatte für mich den typischen Geschmack missen lassen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis beim Zander passte einfach nicht. Die Bratkartoffeln waren jedoch lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und schnell. Die Lage ist sehr schön, das Ambiente des Restaurant selber war jetzt nicht ganz so schön.

Heute waren wir zum zweiten Mal hier essen. Das letzte Mal war vor einem Jahr. Das Restaurant ist gut gelegen und bietet draußen allerhand Sitzmöglichkeiten. Der Service war freundlich und größtenteils aufmerksam und schnell. Auch das Essen kam erstaunlich schnell. Leider haben wir uns für diesen Preis mehr erhofft. Es hat geschmeckt, war aber nichts Besonderes. Ärgerlich war, dass meine beiden Zanderfilets leider noch übermäßig viele Gräten enthielten und der Rote-Bete-Kartoffelstampf nahezu kalt war. Der Fischteller war übersichtlich, die Kinderportion Fischstäbchen mit Pommes dem Preis angemessen recht groß. Geschmeckt hat es trotzdem, aber für uns gibt es in Rerik bessere Alternativen.

Captain Flint's Imbiss: Eine der beiden Mitarbeiterinnen trägt eine derartig abweisende Laune vor sich her, dass man besser wieder geht. Ja, die Saison geht dem Ende zu und das Service Personal ist sicher erschöpft. Trotzdem darf man wenigstens den Gruß des Gastes erwidern. Das Sitzgelände des Imbiss ist wirklich herunter gekommen.
