Capriccio in Hamburg

Always a nice place to go when we are in Hamburg. The food is very good, the staff and service are very courteous and friendly. A clear recommendation. Thank you very much and gladly again!

At Capriccio, the staff is not only super friendly and attentive, but also well informed about the needs and difficulties of a gluten-free diet. Here, for the first time, gluten-free bread was available as a little treat before the meal and because they know how special it is, it was specially roasted, which makes it much, much better. The regular menu is already appealing in itself, but the additional, changing menu is a real highlight. The food is excellent and really worth every penny. We have already eaten at Capriccio twice and are already planning our next visit.

We were there - visiting HH - on the recommendation of our hotel. It was exactly the kind of restaurant we wanted for the evening. We received a very friendly welcome and were accompanied throughout the evening. The food was great. The starter selection was sensational. For main courses we had seafood risotto and tagliatelle with sliced ​​veal. Everything was very, very tasty. How we deal with children is now always important to us and they also deserve a straight A at Capriccio. When we are in HH we would love to come back. Thank you.

The Capriccio is a small Italian restaurant in the heart of Hamburg. People who rely on a gluten-free diet also get their money's worth there. The gluten-free pasta was cooked al dente and tasted very good. There was also gluten-free bread with olive oil in advance.

Wir hatten einen schönen Abend hier mit sehr nettem Service, leckerem Rotwein und leckerem Italienischen Essen (Pizza & Lasagne). Auch das Dessert war sehr fein. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und das alles zu einem fairen Preis! Klare Weiterempfehlung!

Inviting restaurant, high priced but quality is right, super nice waiter, drinks great. 1* deduction: Carpaccio was actually delicious, I'm just wondering what the champions were doing on it and if so, a little tip, it would be nice if it was stated on the menu.

Ordered lunch there to pick up as part of a company event. The food was A1, a colleague was very surprised that there was REAL seafood on his pizza. In general everyone was very happy with their dish. Unfortunately, not everything went smoothly when we picked it up, but it was handled very professionally to our satisfaction. The atmosphere is very cozy and there is good Italian wine on display.

The table was beautifully set, there was a great place by the window, we were greeted nicely with a smile and served very attentively by the boss himself throughout the evening. The food was delicious. We always enjoy coming back when we visit Hamburg again, highly recommended!

We were there for the first time and were inspired by the reviews in Google and Tripadvisor. First of all: These reviews are not true - the restaurant is MUCH BETTER. Seriously, we were absolutely thrilled. The service is friendly, courteous, fast, unobtrusive, every wish is read from the lips and what can be made possible (I think we were served by the owner - but this applies to all employees). The atmosphere is very nice and inviting both inside and outside on the terrace. The food is an absolute highlight: tastes great, beautifully served and presented. We don't know the last time we ate so well. Many thanks to the entire team, we were definitely not there for the last time.

Very attentive service, delicious food and wine, lovely spot!

Very nice little restaurant in a half-timbered house with a backyard. I was welcomed very friendly and served very well. The ambience inside is very clean and tidy but a bit dark. Outside there is a small backyard with tables, chairs and umbrellas. It's nice and quiet there. The food is super tasty and very nicely prepared. The bruschetta mix and the traditional lasagne are particularly recommended. I would love to visit this restaurant again.

Spaghetti Vongole and Taglioritine with truffle were ordered. On the one hand, a relatively simple spaghetti was used for both, which could definitely be of better quality for the price. On the other hand, there were 12 Vongole in number and very little sauce for the pasta. Additionally, the olive oil used in breads and appetizers was similar to that of sunflower. The quality wasn't there for the price.

The food was ok. In my pasta with mussels, most of the mussels were broken and the shells were scattered throughout the pasta. Very unfortunate. The pizza was OK too. Even though there wasn't much going on, the waiter took a long time. Too long for lunch.

My favorite restaurant in Hamburg. Lovingly owner-managed restaurant with great, personal service and high-quality food at reasonable prices. I can absolutely recommend the mixed starter. Always different culinary surprises, my highlight.

We were at a conference in Hamburg last week. We were 6 people. We decided to look for an Italian to secure the shot. nothing like Mediterranean food. Excellent evening under a pergola with candles on the tables and white tablecloths, all very detailed. the exquisite treatment of all the waiters. the food and wine also 10/10. Outstanding!!! We went with a group of 16 people. The service was absolutely great, friendly, fast and efficient. The food was great, came all very close together for a group of this size and the quality of the food was marvelous. I would definitely recommend this place and would organise my next group dinner here again.

Meh... Okay but not great. The portions are way too small and expensive considering the quality is normal and not special. As some other reviews have mentioned - the wait times seem unnecessarily long.

I had a fantastic lunch at Capriccio yesterday and would like to share my experience. The advice was excellent and I received particularly good care from the owner as I suffer from celiac disease. The selection of gluten-free options was impressive, and I was relieved to see how knowledgeable the owner was about my condition. Even the gluten-free bread I was served was toasted in their own dedicated “gluten-free” toaster, giving me an extra level of peace of mind. The dishes all looked delicious and the service was excellent. I'm looking forward to coming here again and can fully recommend the restaurant for anyone with celiac disease. If you want to enjoy a lot of Italy in Germany, this is the place to go to. You'll be greeted in the typical Italian way, the food will meet your expectations and overall the people are very very friendly and attentive. Needless to say everyone who works here is Italian. The high average rating is correct in my opinion. Enjoyed a great dinner and there was a lot of choice for the gluten and/or lactose free food as well. Went here with my wife and kids (13&15) who also enjoyed it greatly. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely come back when qe visit Hamburg again.

Extremely slow service, food: pasta good, met fully expectations, salad was ok. The score would be higher if not waiting 40 minutes for one bruschetta and then another 30 minutes for the meals for all.

Despite having a reservation, we waited over an hour for starters!!!! Will not go there again! The staff was friendly and nice but the kitchen was not able to accommodate so many people.

After spending a long time online looking for an Italian restaurant that was open for lunch on Saturday and looked cozy, a friend recommended this restaurant to me and I'm very happy that I followed the recommendation :) The food was super tasty and the staff was very friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed, there is good Italian music playing, which we probably chose ourselves (our waiter sang along quietly from time to time =) ). We were very satisfied and will definitely remember the Capriccio =)

I was there at Easter with my girlfriend and I was very impressed by the food and the atmosphere, the shop was well attended. In addition to the fixed menu, there is a changing weekly menu, which is definitely worth taking a look at. Although we only had pasta, other guests' pizza also looked extremely appealing. In addition to the delicious wine, I definitely recommend choosing homemade desserts (these are specially marked). In the end the price was ~100€ for 2 starters/main courses/desserts, a bottle of water, 2 glasses of red wine and a coffee, which was reasonable in my opinion. All in all we had a wonderful evening there.

Wir kamen ohne Reservierung spät an einem Samstag mit Kind und Hund und hatten Glück, einen Tisch zu bekommen. Der Inhaber als auch das Personal waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Sie kamen auch immer wieder an den Tisch und man konnte sich austauschen. Die Speisen waren mit Liebe zubereitet und köstlich. Sehr empfehlenswert, wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Kleines Restaurant mit bemühter Küche. Der Service besticht durch mehr durch Ehrlichkeit, als durch Ambition. Waren zum Geschäftsessen dort. Positiv ist das die Vorspeisen portionsweise, frisch und sehr lecker waren. Weniger positiv fiel uns auf, dass die Vorspeisen wie abgezählt wirkten und die vermeintlich typische Überladenheit nicht gegeben war. Final war ich von der Gesamtperformance enttäuscht. Wenn ich für die Firma mit mit einem großen Tisch Vorspeisen und Getränke bestelle, dann erwarte ich zumindest das Angebot eines Aperitifs und eines Abschlusses... Letztendlich gutes Essen mit wenig Herz und Service.

Begrüßung sehr freundlich, doch leider einen Katzentisch erhalten (trotz Reservierung)..Speisekarten kamen schnell, das war es dann aber auch... lange Zeit folgte nichts...leider schlecht organisiert, was sicherlich auch dem Mangel an Personal geschuldet war. ...und so beschlossen wir, das Lokal zu verlassen und einen anderen Italiener in der Nähe aufzusuchen. Da wir Neustädter sind, fiel uns die Wahl nicht schwer...

Adult daughter and I called in on a Saturday evening without reservation and they were happy to accommodate us. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. The menu needed some explaining being pretty poor German speakers but our waiter was happy to oblige. Both the food and wine were delicious; I had cod, a generous portion cooked to perfection and daughter had saltimbocca which came with a side plate of vegetables and which she thoroughly enjoyed. Service was fantastic and not rushed; we were given ample time between courses to sit and enjoy our wine, very chilled compared with most places which seem to present you with the dessert menu as soon as main course is cleared. Desserts were excellent too. I would definitely visit again if I return to Hamburg.

Extrem nettes und aufmerksames Personal. Schon die Ansprache bei der Ankunft sehr nett und trotz etwas Wartezeit fühlt man sich hier direkt wohl. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Immer wieder gern.

Ein kleines familiäres "WAU". Hier wird man persönlich von Inhabern empfangen und sehr freundlich bedient. Die Küche italienisch einfach aber trotzdem sehr frisch und lecker auf eine eigene Art und Weise hergerichtet und zubereitet. Bei solchen Restaurants merkt man, hier ist man mit Leib und Seele dabei. Ristorante italiano gestito da italiani :) L’abbiamo scelto perché ha un’ampia offerta glutenfree, difficilissima da trovare in città. Spaghetti senza glutine cacio e pepe veramente ben cotti e cremosi. Pizza tradizionale più che soddisfacente vista la cottura in forno elettrico. Servizio professionale e molto cordiale. Lo consiglio!

Jedes Mal ein nettes Erlebnis! Man bekommt - fast - immer einen Tisch, wird sehr nett begrüßt und bedient und die Küche ist sehr gut. Eine aktuelle Karte rundet das Angebot ab. Heute war ich zum ersten Mal alleine dort, man hat sich sehr bemüht, mir den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen (guter Tisch, aufmerksamer Service. Keine Selbstverständlichkeit! Ich komme gerne wieder.

Authentic little restaurant with fresh pasta. We visited on a Tuesday night and it was packed due to the SMM exhibition, nevertheless the stuff did everything possible to adapt and facilitate us properly. Very friendly and authentic people. Four stars for the Limited selection of wines.

Ein wirklich gelungener Abend. Tische mit Abstand gestellt, Kellner sehr aufmerksam und höflich. Speisen alle gut zubereitet, Oktupus, Pizza,Gnochi , Nudel, Salat und auch das Antipasti und die Nachspeisen. Ein guter Wein,aus Sizilien, erschwinglich und gut zum Essen passend. Preis-Leistung stimmt, aber es ist keine Pizzaria sondern ein Retaurante...

Hervorragend, sehr gutes Essen und nettes Personal. Einfach ohne Bohei beste italienische Küche bis ins Detail perfekt. Auch wenn ich dafür eine lange Anreise habe, gehe ich gern bald wieder dorthin!
