Caphe HOA in Berlin

There was a lot of choice and interesting combinations, but I found the meat substitutes too bland—beans, tofu, seitan, and more. The flavor came solely from the sauces, while good, but at times it just felt like a tasteless filling you dip into instead of offering any flavor in itself. I found the papaya salad delicious and harmonious. For me, there was too much focus on simply being a direct meat substitute.

Chairs and tables are a drawback. But you quickly forget that once the food is on the table. Very friendly service, and the food was fantastic. We tried the tapas, and next time we'll continue on to the next pages of the extensive menu. We're already looking forward to it 😃

excellent vegan food with a wide selection

I've recently returned from Vietnam and was craving Vietnamese food and especially the famous and delicious egg coffee. Unfortunately, there are not that many Cafe's in Berlin that offer it and if they do the taste isn't quite the same. However, Caphe-Hoa makes a fantastic egg coffee and it was like the ones that I had in Hanoi. I had to drive 1 hour to get there but it was SO worth it. We also had food which was also outstanding. Won't be my last time there!

Relaxed, friendly, and very well-organized service. Absolutely delicious food (Asian tapas that are more individual and better than in many other restaurants). The homemade drinks are also great (sugar-free upon request). The ambiance is simple (plastic tables and chairs) at an intersection (although it's not very busy after 6:00 PM).

I was here a year ago and was absolutely thrilled, especially with the vegan duck, which was really crispy and tasted almost indistinguishable from real duck. Yesterday, I was really looking forward to the dish again, but this time the duck was unfortunately a bit pale, lacking a proper crust, and not quite as intense in flavor as before. Perhaps they've changed the recipe or the preparation? 🤔 Otherwise, everything was great again: The ambiance was very welcoming as always, the staff friendly, and the other dishes were super delicious. I'll definitely be back; maybe the duck will be like it used to be next time! 💚

Caphe Hoa is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always incredibly delicious, high-quality, and beautifully presented. They catered our wedding dinner for 80 guests this year upon request, putting a lot of effort and love into it. Our guests (including those who weren't vegan/vegetarian) were all thrilled, and we received many compliments on the food. Thank you so much for providing us with such a delicious meal on our special day. We would do it again in a heartbeat <3

Not only the place is amazing, the attention to detail, decorations and atmosphere are wonderful. The staff is great, very friendly, and of course, the food is incredibly good. The product they sell is fresh and the quality is really good for the price thay you pay. Definitely worth it!

This tastes incredibly delicious. The cold avocado and coconut are so refreshing and creamy. My girlfriend and I come here regularly. And the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We feel very comfortable here. We'd love to come back again ❤️

We’ve been there few times, every time ordering something different. Never got anything disappointing, best Asian food in Berlin so far ❤️

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, but the food was unfortunately really not good. While there is a wide selection of dishes, and we tried many appetizers and one main course, none of them were particularly tasty. The main course was okay, but the summer rolls only contained lettuce and unripe mango, and the fried tofu had a consistency like a sponge. The gyoza tasted and smelled like soap; we tried several different varieties. Unfortunately, I really wouldn't recommend it. The salty lemonade was the least impressive. When we asked about it, we were told it was supposed to taste salty and sour. Unfortunately, it wasn't drinkable for us. At least they were accommodating with the price, so we only had to pay for a salty lemonade.

There are few restaurants I could go to every day! Caphe Hoa is ALWAYS a good choice, and it tastes amazing every time! Even the kids love it!

I had dinner here tonight, and my expectations were completely met. The menu is so diverse, it's hard to decide because everything sounds delicious. The prices are affordable and the portions are generous. Service and food are quick. The restrooms could be improved. I'll definitely be back!

Great restaurant. Five of us were there at lunchtime, and we didn't have to wait long. There's a huge selection, and everything is vegetarian/vegan, so there's something for everyone! Great value for money, too.

Loved it. Ordered the Avocado smoothie, crispy tofu, truffle curry dish, erdnuss klassik dish and mini rolls. The crispy tofu alone will bring me back. This is an intimate family owned vibe, so many choices and the menu has pictures of each thing beside it (this helped me choose it to begin with). Everything was great.

That was totally the best food experience in Berlin. Will come back as soon as possible. Highly recommended!

Came here because my friend really wanted Vietnamese egg coffee, and ended up ordering food because the food on the other tables looked so good. Beautiful presentation! I was pleasantly surprised as I had previously tried one of Caphe HOA’s rice paper rolls and didn’t enjoy it, however this time, all of the dishes we ordered were good. The sticky mandu had a great taste and a fun texture - I would definitely recommend this to others. The crispy tofu cubes were also delicious, and I’m not usually the biggest fan of tofu. The Bun cha la lot was pretty nice, although I will probably try another main next time. It was fun to sample a vegetarian (or perhaps even vegan?) version of the dish! Great service, super friendly staff. Cute interior and also some outside seating next to a relatively calm road. I would come back! 😊

I can only recommend it 100%; the menu had so many delicious options that it was hard to decide. We ultimately opted for the dumpling platter with various dumplings, mandu, and gyoza served with two sauces. For my main course, I had the avocado rice. The value for money was excellent; the portion was so large that I almost couldn't finish it, and everything tasted fresh and was topped with chili oil. For my drink, I had a mango matcha latte. It really wasn't bad. I'm looking forward to another visit in the future, especially since they have a reasonably priced lunch menu (we were there in the evening) and the service was excellent. Every vegetarian, vegan, and non-vegan will get their money's worth. The shop was also really cutely decorated, and what I particularly liked was that one of the walls had information about the environment and showed how long it takes different types of plastic to decompose.

I ordered from Volt. Unfortunately, the taste was very bad. My dish didn't taste like peanuts at all! Definitely never again! The description said beef! It wasn't, so this is consumer deception! It didn't taste like beef either!

The salmon teriyaki only tasted of bamboo shoots, which wasn't that tasty. The summer roll was good, albeit without the advertised beetroot. The cafe itself has a really cute atmosphere :)

Delicious lunch comes with a FREE drink. Service was super quick and friendly. Nice sitting outside. Card payment only from 15 €! I will definitely come more frequently for lunch.

Not in the hustle and bustle, but super tasty, lots of it vegan, and you can easily combine the small dishes for €5-6. The staff are really friendly, and we even got dessert very late!

Good location, solid cuisine – but questionable handling of the vegan concept. The café has a pleasant atmosphere, and the food is okay – not particularly flavorful, but acceptable. What really disappointed me, however, was the handling of the vegan-vegetarian concept. I ordered a pineapple and mint cocktail, assuming that a vegetarian restaurant wouldn't use dairy products – or at least that would be clearly stated. Instead, I was served a milk-based cocktail (lactose-free, but still milk). Since I consciously avoid dairy products – which is precisely why I chose this restaurant – this was very inappropriate for me. I didn't drink the cocktail; my friend took it. For a vegetarian concept, I would have preferred more mindfulness and transparency. Unfortunately, it wasn't an entirely positive experience.

Great Vietnamese / Asian fusion vegan food. Simple setting, a few outdoor tables.

The drinks (we both had the Yasmin Ice Tea) were delicious, the food was okay and fairly priced. Unfortunately, some of the vegetables were rubbery, and the vegan duck didn't really impress us. The fact that most of the dishes are vegan is great. The service was friendly, and card payments are accepted (small minimum amount). The interior is rather small, with some interesting seating: we sat on converted beverage crates.

Love it, it's so, so, so delicious. I love eating there, and I also give it a 10/10 rating when ordering. Unfortunately, you can't order the peppercorns online. That needs to be added to the menu, otherwise it's perfect.

Dumplings blew me away, ordered the yellow ones which have a really nice Sichuan peppercorn kick. Wish I had just gotten the dumpling sampler because, while my main was good (noodles), I would come here several times a week for the dumplings.

Amazing vegan/vegetarian food and service. Very friendly staff and vibes. They speak both English and German. The food was very delicious and fresh. The portions were sufficiently big. They have a clean toilet. And they accept cards. 10/10 for food and service.

I loved the menu here! My dish was very delicious and I wish we had such a great restaurant here in Vienna as well. Everything was very fresh and I loved the crispy Tofu that came with my main course. Will definitely come back next time I visit Berlin.

A great restaurant and the perfect place for vegetarians and vegans! You can sit outside in the sunshine and even get an iced tea on the house in advance. My recommendation: the dumpling platter and the Coco Iced Coffee. Incredibly good!

The food is very tasty, the service is A1 and it is probably the best restaurant in this area, which is otherwise not so busy. If you want to sit outside, you can do so in a traffic-calmed area.

If you want delicious vegan Asian cuisine, the perfect spot The interior design and service are very nice. A good selection at fair prices, almost everything is either vegetarian or vegan. Everything at fair prices and the portion size was appropriate. I can highly recommend the roasted rice tea. There is also a lot for lovers of spicy food. All in all a very great experience!

What a lucky find! I really enjoyed their miso soup and the Truffel Erdnuss was amazing. The mango lemon was nice too! They have an English menu and the staff speak it fluently. I’ll come here again.

It’s a cute place. They have so many options. All vegetarian and vegan. We ordered glass noodles mix and pepper ginger udon noodles. They are good, but flavours weren’t strong. The service people are really nice. They even give complimentary drink.

So far favourite vegan Vietnamese restaurant, been there several times and ordered delivery, too, and each time everything was excellent. My favourite here are rice noodles with mango and crispy tofu (Xa Xiu Noodles). The only drawback is that they don’t serve any alcohol.

The menu is super tempting, we want to try everything. Free tap water, which is rare in Berlin. One star less because we had difficulty getting the attention of the staff in the dining room to order the desserts.

Most comfy coffee place in this area. Perfect place to catch sunbeams during your lunch break. You have to try the ca phe trung (egg coffee)!
