This was my first visit to the restaurant, and I'm certain it won’t be my last. I came here for lunch with a friend, and overall, the experience was very pleasant. The interior stands out—beautifully designed, warm, and relaxing. It’s the kind of space that makes you want to take your time and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed. The staff were friendly and attentive, which I appreciated. However, I did feel slightly uncomfortable when it seemed like a tip was being expected. Personally, I prefer to give a tip when I feel genuinely satisfied with the service, not because it’s subtly (or overtly) encouraged. I’m not fond of this American-style tipping culture creeping in, especially when it’s not part of local customs. As for the food, it was good—nicely plated and made with quality ingredients—but the flavors didn’t quite match my taste. Still, it wasn’t a dealbreaker. The overall environment and service made the experience enjoyable. In short, this is a lovely place to relax and share a meal. I’ll definitely return, likely to try something new from the menu and enjoy the ambiance again. Hopefully without the awkward tip expectations.

Been there again after years. One of my regular restaurants at the time. Quality still the same. Price performance unbeatable!!! Service friendly and location still super cozy Clear recommendation.

Good Vietnamese food is far and wide - this tasted CRAZY good. We entered from the street and got a table straight away. The drinks came quickly, and the hot food soon after. It was an EXCELLENT pleasure to find Cao Cao 🤩 You get 5 out of 5 stars from here 27.04.25: back again - still as good 🙂

Fantastic food and extremely attentive staff who are always ready to take care of you. We had spring rolls for starters, delicious and enough to share. I got beef with sweet potato and some coconut/mango sauce, tender and juicy meat. The wife had noodle salad with beef, it was also delicious. Cola and water as drinks. 47 euros in total. Would definitely recommend them!

We were looking for an uncomplicated restaurant before the cabaret performance “The Porcupines” and ended up in this extraordinary restaurant. A nice little restaurant in the middle of Berlin on the Kudamm. The food was wonderfully tasty. Enjoyably TOP. Appetizer: Fresh summer rolls with chicken. Main course: Bún Bó- fried beef with glass noodles. Service was super polite, courteous and quite quick. Ambiance very cozy.

Nice food. Good service. We didn't sit so comfortably but we also sat outside which was nice but there is no room for big comfortable chairs

Compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in the city, this one was rather disappointing. It was slightly more expensive than the average while offering poor food quality— the meals weren’t particularly fresh, precut vegetables were used. We got our meals within 5 minutes of ordering them, which makes me assume that not much effort was put into cooking them. Atmosphere is nice though.

I have rarely eaten such good Vietnamese food. The variety of dishes and combinations alone are fantastic. One of the very few where you don't get greasy, standard food on your plate. Everything is fresh and prepared with passion and creativity. The service is super friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. The price/performance ratio is unbeatable.

Didn’t know that refilling the tea pot with hot water will cost additional €2. That should be free in other parts of the world. Otherwise food and ambiance all good.

Food was great. But the waiter was a bit too bold in my opinion, insisting for cash and asking how much we had in our wallets after explicitly saying we wanted to pay by card. Unfortunately, the whole place is permeated with a strong smell that reminds of drainage and is quite annoying...

Restaurant is high frequent even during the week at a later clock. I recommend to reserve a table beforehand. I went there with two colleagues spontaneously on a Tuesday evening and it was pretty full. The food is delicious, portions are big and the prices totally fair.

Came across this cute Vietnamese restaurant in the area. The food turn out to be very good!! The biggest surprise if the Calamari stir fry.(V18) So much umami flavour from the wok hey. the calamari is cooked just right and with so much flavour. The tamarind shrimp is also very satisfying with huge prawns and bold flavours. The only slight disappointment is the salad. The portion is not very big and the shrimp is sliced in half. The cucumber is cut a bit too thick. Over all very good experience and def will come back!!

Super tasty, great atmosphere and extremely friendly team. But the prices are the best: 12 euros for a full plate and it's close to Breitscheidplatz! (Where most other restaurants offer rather overpriced mediocre). My new favorite restaurant for after shopping on the Kudamm.

I would never come back ever again. The food is not bad but I’m sure you can find similar food quality with a way better service. The waiter came to check me ONCE EVERY SECOND I swear. And when I tell him can you please not walk around all the time it’s very stressing, he replied that his job and said something in his language( I don’t speak it but I am very good at sensing “weird vibes”) I understand you’d like to check but walking around ONCE EVERY FIVE SECOND A ITS ANNOYING. And it’s a Friday night, I just want a chill night.

Positive: The vegan choices for food were excellent. The food was flavorful and portion sizes were good. The spring rolls were kind of expensive considering it’s basically 2. It’s unfortunate I happen to understand that the waitstaff talks negatively about their customers. Thinking they don’t understand. Insults translate….

Food is average, they charge you 1 euro per person extra if you would like to takeaway. But the containers they use are poor plastic bag with no proper lids. Service is okay Moreover , it’s not dog friendly , they don’t give water bowl . They said they cannot give a water bowl. It’s the first time in Germany that I hear the restaurant refuse to give water for dogs . We went there because if 2k reviews, but seriously not worth it. There are plenty of restaurant around which is worth trying

We have a very large Vietnamese community, where I live, and we do have a quite a few very authentic Vietnamese restaurant. I was surprisingly to find the Cao Cao , served very authentic good flavor, Vietnamese soup,Pho and very traditional rice dishes! What can be better to have a hot and steamy bowl of beef noodles soup in the cold water day! The final two pictures show my wife and I finished our dinner with satisfied stomach

My goodness, that was great! Food and drinks are excellent value for money. The restaurant is very cozy and the service is very friendly and very quick. I can't think of anything negative at all. I also find the decor of the restaurant very cozy and very successful! We were there at Christmas time. A very large Christmas tree shone in many bright colors. Simply wonderful! Thank you to the staff! Great.

Sorry, the restaurant is just overrated. - crowded and small (but 'normal' for Berlin standards) - food was quite good, but nothing special - unfriendly staff (refused to package our left-over-food)

Very friendly and competent service staff. Special meal requests will be taken into consideration with understanding. Despite the high number of guests, the food is served quite quickly and to all guests at the same time. The food is of good quality and sufficient in quantity. Duck is highly recommended. We therefore felt compelled to have dinner here on two days in a row during our short vacation. It is advisable to reserve in the evening.

I had one of the most disappointing dining experiences, despite the food being surprisingly delicious. I arrived at 22:16, well before their closing time of 23:00, and from the very beginning, I felt unwelcome. A staff member told me I could order in five minutes and stay for 30 minutes, which I agreed to. However, moments later, a waitress walked in, visibly irritated, and almost shouted at him in Vietnamese, insisting they only take takeout orders. This created a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere from the start. I complied without complaint and placed a takeout order. Immediately after, the staff member handed me the bill and expected me to pay upfront. I told him I would prefer to pay once I received my food, and he reluctantly agreed. However, barely two minutes later, he returned, insisting, ‘Card or cash?’ and pushing me to pay again. I felt rushed and treated as if they couldn’t wait to be rid of me. And as soon as I left I noticed I forgot my scarf so the waiter opened the door and handed it to me almost screaming something negative to me and I even said thank you. Despite all of this, when I finally got my food, I was genuinely surprised—it was incredibly delicious and packed with flavor. Unfortunately, the excellent food couldn’t outweigh the terrible service. The rude and unprofessional attitude of the staff overshadowed the experience entirely. Restaurants should prioritize making their customers feel welcome, especially during posted business hours. While the food was fantastic, the service was so poor that I won’t be returning. Good food alone isn’t enough when you’re treated as though your presence is an inconvenience. I hope the management addresses this, as the food deserves better representation than the unwelcoming service I experienced.

We came here three days ago as a group, paid separately by card, each of us below 20€ and everything was just fine. What a nice place to dine it was! Now, three days later, we decided to come back again and when we are about to pay, all of the sudden you are telling us it’s not possible to pay by card separately below 20€ ?? Are you insane?! We showed the waiters the paid bills from a couple of days ago and yet they argued with us for 10 minutes. What is wrong with you and what’s your problem?! If you don’t know how to run a business then just better shut it down and do something else. And don’t put up those card payment stickers on the door if there are some silly conditions like 20€/meal. Ridiculous! Either take card payments or don’t, but don’t change your mind from one day to another and then argue with customers who were paying here literally three days ago by card without any problem. That you are plotting some sneaky way how to avoid taxes isnt the customer’s problem either. And if ,in 2024 (!!), you are making such a fuss about card payments then you are not a serious business, unfortunately. We will not be coming back and it’s a huge disappointment cos the first impression was so good.. and then this.

Avoid. The food is mediocre, service is slow. Also, they insist on a minimum of 20euros for a credit card (really? Enter the modern world already…)

This is a delightful Vietnamese restaurant at Kudamm. Reasonably priced and all the food we tried was excellent. Vegetarian spring rolls, rote curry mit tofu and especially recommend the icecreams - The baked banana with vanilla and the Matcha Eis were both really great!

Addendum: We are now very satisfied regular customers and drive to the area just to eat there :-) ------- We were there by chance and it was delicious. Great value for money. Service was very great and the decor was also very attractive. If we are in the area again, we will definitely sit there again.

We happened to pass by here after shopping at KaDeWe and were absolutely thrilled. Super fast service, great food at a great price and all in a great ambience. Very clean, card payment (credit) possible. Recommend the homemade sauces. An absolute recommendation and would be happy to come again at any time!

The environment is very warm and comfortable, the food is of good quality and tastes good. When you enter the water bar, the staff is smiling and very friendly. The other staff speak English fluently. Because the four of us ate after 8pm, there were not many diners. , overall very satisfied, the price is reasonable, six dishes, three glasses of beer, the bill is EUR 76.9

An excellent and cheap Vietnamese restaurant, we ate a wonderful clam soup and a dish of shrimps with rice and vegetables and it was really delicious.

Absolutely 5 stars, 5.0. Food fantastic, atmosphere nice, service very friendly and quick. And prices are great, 10-11 euros already have delicious, large main dishes like the V8 or V11 on the menu.

Good service - they allowed us to split the bill and the food was delicious. We spent hours in the restaurante chatting and chilling without anyone bothering us.

From the menu it may be not that clear, but all food here contains fish sause. So, no options for the strict vegetarians.

We were here for lunch today and found it very tasty, the prices were pleasantly cheap for Berlin standards and the food was great. I had the Pho and my girlfriend had the vegetarian soup and the spring rolls, both were good. I liked the spring rolls the best here so far seemed homemade and not just thawed. The Pho had a strong broth and the noodles were a little thicker than I'm used to which gave them a little more bite, which I thought was good. All in all, the food was great, the restaurant is beautifully designed and has a quiet atmosphere and the toilets were clean. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating.

Loved the food. Loved the service. Giving 2 stars because of tips forced into your face, starting from +10% , +15% , + 20%. Everyone knows about the social pressure when thee tips are forced to you with the sever waiting over your head. It’s not fair. It might make sense in America ( I argue it doesn’t there too) but this practice is NOT welcome in Europe !!

First time there and really loved the food. I ordered H1 - Côm Sốt Mẽ and it was so delicious! They didn’t have the pomelo salad but still the avocado salad with exquisite!

The service has gotten so bad compared to a few years ago. No matter what I asked, he said no, and when I asked him to cut up some chili for the four of us eating, I was shocked to see that he gave us the size of a fingernail and told us to share. Then, when paying, they asked for a tip of at least 15%. In Europe, you only give a tip if the service is really good, but the service is crappy and they try to get a tip like in the US. The food is worse than a few years ago. Don't go.

We had dinner at a restaurant yesterday. The waiter constantly came and went, checking if we finished our meal, almost like he was trying to hurry us. The portions were small but tasty. I wouldn't recommend it to tourists. It's a place catering more to Germans.

Nothing to say, it was good and the plate was plentiful, there was plenty to eat. The service is fast.

I came to Berlin for a few days and wanted to eat some Asian food. I saw good reviews and it was close to where I lived, so I came to try it. I ordered spring rolls, beef and chicken rice noodles, and a la carte of green vegetables and beer. After all, this is Europe, and the taste is certainly not the same as that of Asia. For example, there was no service other than ordering and serving food. The key point was that when paying with a credit card, I wanted to round up the whole number as a meaning. Unexpectedly, the waiter pointed to the 10, 15, and 20% tip options on the credit card machine and asked for a certain amount. It’s really speechless to choose one. If you can understand Chinese comments, please make your own decisions.

I enjoyed the rice noodles, wonton soup, spring rolls, and Vietnamese spring rolls. Be sure to eat ice cream for dessert!
