We discovered the restaurant by chance and were completely surprised. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The service was great and you didn't have to wait long to eat. The restaurant is very cozy, perfect for a group dinner. Unfortunately the music was a bit too loud :/ otherwise highly recommended.

Delicious food, freshly prepared, comfortable seating and a nice ambience. Not the typical Greek restaurant dishes that have been around forever, but something different to the norm.

After a shopping trip, this simple one Visited locally. We were greeted very friendly, after a while of waiting, at which point it was still quite empty, the order was taken, we had ordered tzatziki, which was delicious, the eggplant salad was ok, nothing more, the grilled feta cheese only had the grill from afar for me Seen, all in all a bit disappointing From the moment the food was served, the service at our table was no longer visible. There is room for improvement in terms of service and overall it was very loud.

We've been to the canteen a few times now and each time we've left full and satisfied. There is also a large selection for vegetarians, which is very rare in Greek restaurants

The meals were ok. Meat well fried. Fries very tasty. There were several possible combinations - although not as extensive as usual with the 'Greek'. The burger was also very tasty. Absolute no go: my starter and main course came at the same time, my wife's meal 3-4 minutes later. Other than that, the service was nice+ attentive. Furnishings/ambience rather cool.

We spent our lunch break here last week and were very satisfied. The meat on the grill plate was super juicy and fresh from the grill. The side dishes were all freshly made and delicious. What we all particularly liked was that you could decide for yourself which meat should be on the grill plate. The price-performance ratio is definitely right here. We'll definitely come by again.

Expensive without being anything special. The service was fine. The chicken skewers were possibly the worst we have ever eaten.

Fast service, great food, nice atmosphere

An incredible evening! After a good 45 minutes of waiting, we were finally able to order our food and drinks. After 15 minutes the drinks arrived and unfortunately not what we ordered. We're still waiting for a glass for the bottle of water we ordered! I had to reset my parking meter 3 times (1 hour each for €2.99) until our food arrived. Here too, not even complete! But it was subsequently delivered upon request. Of course, the drinks were long empty due to the waiting time… Here too, reordering was rather impossible. After we had more or less finished our food, we asked for the boss. The supposed employee we asked about this and he said he wasn't a boss, but as it turned out later he was the boss. Another employee came to our table and asked what the problem was! To be honest, we told him that the food was delicious, but the 2 1/2 hour wait was absolutely unacceptable. As compensation he offered 5 of us, including 3 underage children, 5 ouzo! Congratulations for the attention!!! We declined thanks. Then the boss, who wasn't one before, came and started discussing with us that we had probably never worked in the catering industry before and he also offered us ouzo... No thanks... if we asked, he would at least take over the drinks for the above-average waiting time, Only one thought: If I did that for everything... The store wasn't even full... Statement and excuse from the boss: Reason for the waiting time, few employees, system failure and new employees... We then paid because the smarter one gave in. Thank you, never again!

The pie burnt and hard as a rock. The meat smells and the potatoes fried several hours ago.

We were there for lunch with a group of 5 people. Very loud music was playing. We immediately asked for the music to be turned down. It was explained to us that you should also be able to hear the music outside on the street, so they didn't actually want to turn the music down. The music was nevertheless made slightly quieter at our request. The music was still unbearably loud. Conversation was hardly possible. Therefore, we asked again that the music be turned down. They responded with an unfriendly “even quieter?!”, but reluctantly turned the music down just a bit. It was still way too loud for us, but we didn't want to discuss it again. The food was very tasty, but we had to wait over 40 minutes for it even though the shop was empty. This was anything but a relaxing lunch break.

We visited Cantine Souvlaki several times and almost exclusively took the grill mix, as you can choose the types of meat yourself from a large selection. That's why it doesn't get boring. Now I wanted to say something about the components on the record, but that sounded very redundant. Everything tastes consistently good to very good: the meat, the fries, the bread, the salad, the sauces (so far always tzatziki and eggplant cream). That's why I love being here. I recently visited the store with my parents. The reaction was that they would now like to eat here every time they visit Dortmund. The shop is also cozy and nicely decorated inside. The service is friendly. This week we tried the pitas for the first time. Were also good, but would prefer the grill mix.

I entered the main entrance, there was a woman sitting outside who apparently belonged to this Greek restaurant because she said hello and I looked for a seat inside. Then I sat there and nothing happened. After a few minutes had passed, I thought to myself that this place was probably self-service, so I went to the dining table at the counter, where the woman was still sitting and suddenly realized that I wanted to order, I should have said something. Um, isn't saying hello enough to know that you want to eat here? Well, I ordered it that way, got my food promptly, but the taste wasn't great either. I didn't notice anything about a stuffed minced steak like I thought it was supposed to have, the fries were pretty soft. It also took some time before I had the opportunity to tell the woman to pay. Apparently everything worked for all the other guests, they are welcome to come back to play alarm clock...

If you want to eat something Greek without a long wait, in a pleasant atmosphere, at normal prices, the Cantine is a great place to go. Food is freshly prepared and the menu offers a wide range of different combinations. There is Mythos on tap. Requests were responded to easily. Service was extremely good.

We were there for the second time. Some time ago we had a salad and a mixed platter and now two pizza wraps, one with bifteki and one with pork. Unfortunately we were not satisfied on both visits. The first time, the price-performance ratio wasn't right for us, and it was the same with the wraps. The fries in the wrap were old and fried again, there were no vegetables except half a slice of tomato... the pork was very fatty and not really edible. The bigteki tasted good. Unfortunately we won't try again.

The service was very good, the food is lousy, at least the girl who worked at the grill was unprofessional at all without gloves, she would pick up salad that she put on the sandwich with her bare hands, in other words, I didn't even rate it because it didn't deserve more than 0

We ate a burger, but it turned out that the bacon was raw 👌 the beer was spoiled and the meat was burnt, the next day we were all sick, disgusting place, where you shouldn’t go, it’s better to go to McDonald’s, but we were just thinking about McDonald’s or here, we did bad choice. The establishment is terrible 👎 people are attracted only by the design of the establishment, that’s all. And also the money that we gave, or rather 50 euros, is not worth what we received, or rather NOT WORTH CLOSE.

The food is not tasty, the fries are very dry, the meat is normal. The flatbread and burgers were burnt. The bacon in the burger is raw. It was as if the beer had been sitting in a glass all day without any gases, and it wasn’t tasty. Mojito is too sour

Pita bread wasn't even warmed, fries were cold. It wasn't the desired sauce either. Inedible. I threw away the pita. Not to mention the prices. That was my last pita there.

Very disappointing! I know Saganaki as soft breaded feta cheese. At the cantine it was hard shepherd's cheese in a would-be panada. The Dakos salad also consisted of 90% dry, plucked bread; instead of finely chopped tomatoes, there were at most 4 cherry tomatoes carelessly on top. Anyone who wants delicious, authentic Greek food is in the wrong place here... of course no one asked if it tasted good or tasted good...

Great Greek restaurant in downtown Dortmund. We particularly liked the fact that you can choose the combination of grill and veggie platters yourself. The food was always very tasty and filling. The service doesn't always keep up, but we'll still be happy to come back.

I tried the pie for the first time at this particular restaurant, thinking it would remind me of Greece, but I was disappointed because my friends and I were not at all happy with the food. The potatoes were very dry, the pita was too oily, with oregano. The staff partly good but taking too long while there were not many tables to serve. Unfortunately we will not visit this place again although the atmosphere was good. All that glitters is not gold after all.

The food is quite tasty, but the prices are unreasonable and far too high for what is on offer. Attention, if anyone is judging by the menus in the photos here: prices have risen sharply since then, meaning the visit will be significantly more expensive than expected.
