Seriously! I've never had such tender, juicy gyros or kebabs before. Very friendly service. Even on a weekday, it's quite busy! Excellent value for money. Reservations are recommended!

The best gyros pita in all of Germany! I've eaten gyros in many restaurants, but none taste as good as here. The meat is perfect, the bread is great, the sauce is amazing—everything is just right. Whenever there's something to celebrate, I treat myself to a gyros here. In general, the gyros here is my absolute favorite dish. I have a sensitive stomach and notice immediately if something isn't right. Everything is fresh. Everyone here is very friendly, from the waiters to the kitchen staff. I also love the atmosphere; it really captures the feeling of Greece. I don't often give good reviews, but everything here is perfect. 6 out of 5 stars! P.S. The prices are also very good.

You always see the many regular customers, a boss who is always smiling and friendly. He and his wife serve, and she, too, always has a friendly demeanor. The food tastes very good, with generous portions and reasonable prices. We eat there regularly; even if you're just walking by, Nico always greets us with a friendly wave. If we want to treat ourselves, we go to "Nico's Tavern." The people we invited also enjoyed their meal there.

We finally had a very tasty meal here again and we are really happy about it. Fingers crossed that it stays that way. Always my pleasure. Went there again today, October 20, 2024, and not much has changed except that there are great menus. Food and service great as always.

Gyros konnte nicht braun/kross bestellt werden. Dann würde das Gericht zu lange in der Küche brauchen. Somit wählten wir ein anderes Gericht. Der Inhaber war danach mies gelaunt. Es wurde mit Scheckkarte bezahlt. Aber es sollte unbedingt bar bezahlt werden! WARUM WOHL? Ich werde das Restaurant nicht wieder betreten.

The tavern Bei Nico is somewhat hidden in the Lütgendortmund district. Parking spaces are right in front of the door. We sat outside and were served very friendly. The food was very tasty. I would particularly like to highlight the Bifteki. One of the best bifteki I've ever eaten. Delicious fries and very tasty rice were served as a side dish. The prices can be described as good value for such good food. Who. When we are in the area again, we would be happy to visit the restaurant again.

I finally found a Greek restaurant in the area where it really tastes good! (I've tried it for 4 years now and I wonder why I haven't been here before.) Super tasty gyros and the souvlaki are juicy. The tzatziki also tastes really good and the fries are crispy. Keep it up! :)

Yesterday we ate there again for a long time. It was quite busy, but the staff was still very friendly. Food was 👍 Portions could be a little larger for the price. Ambience can be worked on. But apparently not all guests get an ouzo, which is somehow exclusionary. In any case, come again.

Went to Nico's tavern for dinner. We were warmly welcomed and shown to the table. Unfortunately, the furnishings are a bit spartan and uncomfortable. The tables are rather carelessly set/decorated and the chairs are very uncomfortable for my taste. Our order was taken quickly and the special requests were professionally addressed. Very positive! The drinks were served quickly and the food that followed was served in a reasonable time. Unfortunately, we didn't like the meat as a whole and the gyro was chopped very small. The plate was also rather carelessly prepared. You can improve this by, for example, not mixing the rice with the fries but rather serving it nicely next to the meat on the plate. The tables and cutlery were clean, which unfortunately cannot be said about the sanitary facilities. All the joints here were covered with mold and the general condition was also rather dirty. I can't say anything about the price because we were invited. But I think the prices on the menu are a bit expensive for what you get in terms of quality (my own opinion). There are sufficient parking spaces available in front of the house. Unfortunately we won't be coming back...

Best gyros far and wide, super nice operators and service.

Carelessly furnished, plastic tables without decorations, place mats or tablecloths, seating totally uncomfortable.. The staff was friendly. The gyros, tasted okay but not very tasty, shredded so small, that could have been anything... plus a mountain of fries 🍟 .. everything was prepared quite carelessly. The dishes from the rest of our group were also quite bland and unpretentious, sometimes over-seasoned. Alternative meatless dishes, apart from salad with compromises, are non-existent. All in all, Nico's tavern is no longer what it used to be in the west of Dortmund, the slightly better Greek restaurant compared to others, which is a shame. There won't be a repeat, so we'll give other Greek restaurants a chance.

After I went to Nico's with my family several times, we always ate very well, were served in a friendly and careful manner and it was a pleasure to be guests there. My wife recently ordered a Stifado (Greek original) and was absolutely thrilled. See you soon the Schweda family

Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt, war für mich aber etwas zu viel. Der Service ist auch sehr gut und das Essen wurde schnell serviert. Wir haben hier einen sehr schönen Abend verbracht.

Wir haben bisher dort immer Essen bestellt und abgeholt. Das war immer super. Nun waren wir dort letzte Woche essen. Leider muss ich sagen, dass ich es dort nicht gut fand. Das Essen war gut, allerdings sind die Portionen viel kleiner geworden. Dann das Ambiente...weiße Kunststoff Tische mit blauen Rand und ein grosses Blatt als Speisekarte in Folie eingeschweißt...oh man...hier muss was getan werden. Ich weiss, dass Gastronomie nach Corona zu kämpfen hat und Tischdecken sicherlich wg. Reinigung teuer sind , aber Paar schöne Platzdeckchen würden die schrecklichen Tische aufwerten. Und bitte andere Speisekarte...so etwas gehört nicht in ein Restaurant. Wir werden sicherlich dort weiterhin essen holen, aber dort Essen gehen kann ich mir überhaupt nicht vorstellen...da ist die Kantine in meiner Arbeit 10x gemütlicher und moderner . Service war schnell und freundlich.

Pitataschen haben ausgezeichnet geschmeckt, das Fleisch war sehr saftig und knusprig vom Grill. Empfehle ich vollen Herzens weiter!

Die Qualität des Essens ist gut, Fleisch hervorragend. Nur..., recht übersichtliche Portionen. Gut, das könnte man verschmerzen, wenn das Ambiente besser wäre. Ein Feeling wie in einer Pommes Bude, und das bei recht ambitionierten Preisen. Gyros mit Tzatziki 13,50 €, ein 0,3 Brinkhoffs 3,50 €, dazu Trinkgeld macht bis zu 20 € pro Person. Was auch o. k. wäre, wenn die Atmosphäre stimmen würde. Da bringt es m. E. auch der wirklich gute Service und die Freundlichkeit nicht mehr.

Ik heb hier drie verschillende stukjes vlees besteld (lams bord ) maar dit is heel weinig eten voor 21,50 € er zat een heel kleine salade bij en een handjevol friet zie foto's ik heb dit gemeld na dat ze gevraagd hadden wat ik er van vond en het antwoord was dat is goed het wordt weer zomer en dan moet je weer zwemkleding aan zeer raar maar ik ben daarna nog iets gaan eten bij zijn buurman om de hoek daar werd ik wel normaal behandeld en Geen ouzo voor of na het eten ik heb de eigenaar hier nog over aangesproken maar zijn antwoord was hij doet het zo al meer dan 20 jaar en dat is ook te zien er staat foto's op van 10 jaar oud en ik heb de zelfde foto van mijn kleine bord met eten ik ga er nooit meer na toe het is ook nog ongezellig en super gedateerd

Ich bin mit meiner Frau nun mehrere Male zum Essen im Restaurant gewesen. Diese Rezension schreibe ich, weil die Qualität bei allen Gerichten sehr gut war. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und vorbildlich. Ganz klare Empfehlung durch uns. Es lohnt sich wirklich dort zu essen.

Auch hier seit über 20 Jahren Stammkunde. Wie immer sehr lecker und daß zu fairen Preisen. Einzig die Tatsache, daß bei gefühlten 30 Tischen (drinnen und aussen) 2 Pers. Im Service zu wenig sind, aber meine Frau und ich, nehmen sich eh Zeit mit. Wer hier neu ist, und einen Tisch bekommt, reservieren !?, sollte etwas Geduld und Verständnis mitbringen. Für mich aber völlig OK. Danke auch an die Küche, bei der Hitze möchte ich da nicht Akkord arbeiten.

Wir waren schon öfter hier zu Gast und die Familie meiner Freundin schon seit 21 Jahren. Die Gastfreundschaft ist typisch Griechenland 😊 die Speisen sind immer frisch und perfekt gegart. Heute gab es Oktopus, welcher bei den meisten nicht gelingt aber dieser ist mal wieder perfekt! Als Hauptgericht gab es für meine Freundin Tintenfisch und für mich den Kreta-Teller. Beides war auf den Punkt gegart, perfekt gewürzt und einfach lecker! Immer wieder.

Seit über 10 Jahren zu Geburtstagen,oder sonstigen Anlässen bei dem Restaurant eingekehrt bis heute. Bodenständige Leute,einfachgehaltenes Ambiente, immer nett und freundliches Personal,Essen sehr ausgewogen und mit Liebe zubereitet,lecker,Preis/Leistung perfekt,immer wieder gerne.
