Great food, it was delicious. When my son wanted to pay, the service was very intimidating regarding a tip. So that was the last time we ate there while passing through.

Delicious Greek cuisine, top preparation, nice staff and cozy...will come back...

I have been visiting the restaurant regularly since it opened. During the lockdown I used the pick-up service. After the change of ownership, the quality has become the same or even better. I would particularly like to mention the excellent service, and especially Babi's. I always feel welcome.

The Athos is a restaurant with a wonderful ambience thanks to the attention to detail in the exceptional furnishings. The outdoor area is small but cozy and surprisingly quiet despite the adjacent street. The selection of food leaves nothing to be desired and the quality and price-performance ratio are convincing. But I would particularly like to highlight the service. The owner is an innkeeper in the best sense of the word and the team is friendly and fast. We felt comfortable and would love to come back.

In advance. This was our second time here. The food was very good. But we were appalled by the service. It started with the order. We asked for a dip for the baked potato. Answer. We're not with the French. My husband ordered a regular bifteki. (There was also gratinated). Again the answer that everything is normal here. I knew from my last visit that we all got an ouzo in advance, which we also saw at the tables next to us. After we had eaten and wanted to pay we got the ouzo. I asked the waiter that the last time we got an ouzo in advance. The answer: That was the last time. It's really not about the ouzo but the tone was probably supposed to sound funny but it was in no way appropriate.

Today we spontaneously went to Athos because we wanted to try out a new restaurant. The service was really friendly and served us really quickly. The food was super tasty and tender (Athos plate). So for a Greek evening we can really recommend it. We will be back.

Good food and nice service. We barely had time to sit down before both the ouzon and the children's schnapps were in place. The guys took the chicken nuggets, which was clearly approved. We adults tried moussaka and lamb fillet, which was more than approved. We got salad and bread which was only included. We drank mythos and red wine with the food. A perfect end to the evening in Dortmund. 🇬🇷🇩🇪❤️🍻😊

We had a very tasty meal there today with around 30 people. The staff was very attentive and quick. He responded very kindly to all requests and even brought an extra portion of starter because of food intolerance.

I would love to give even more stars. We are absolutely thrilled. It's like going out to eat with friends. The service is awesome. Always friendly and every wish is read from your lips. The food is high quality and always comes to the table hot. As a highlight, special dishes that are not on the menu are offered. You simply have to try these. I can say one thing: This is our favorite Greek. We always like to come back.

A very friendly welcome and an ouzo on the house! For example, we ordered starters (cold platter for 2 people) which was really plentiful but...... All ready-made products except for the tzatziki, pickled grape leaves from a can, thick white beans from a can, taramas was also a ready-made product, as was the eggplant salad! It's a shame you can really do everything yourself quickly, at Taramas I understand that it was bought ready-made! Then came the salad that came with the main course, which could have been saved, dreary green salad chopped into small pieces/grated carrot, two slices of tomatoes with ready-made dressing! The main courses were ok, nothing special! What the restaurateur can't do is simply my conclusion: dear Greek chefs, finally cook Greek cuisine and not these Germanized finished products are of any use! Greek cuisine is a simple cuisine but authentically fresh and tasty, it's better not to put so much on the menu for it to be fresh! Yesterday we paid almost 100 euros for three people, which is not a small amount! But for us there will be no second visit!

Foods is ok but you can pay only with cash and the waiter girl told me the tips that I should ask her in the beginning that I want to pay with the card. What!! Is now 2010? How should I do if I have no cash🙄

ATHOS: Greek flair in Dortmund. You would hardly suspect it, but here you will find really good and appealing Greek cuisine as we know it. Quite a bit annoying with meat, but very good quality and taste. The service is super friendly and accommodating. As already written in some reviews, you are first greeted with an ouzo as an aperitif. And things continue just as friendly and attentive. The restaurant is noted and I would definitely like to come back again when I am here in Dortmund. So all in all five stars for this restaurant.

So I was a bit skeptical at first. Because I thought it was a typical Greek restaurant. However, this went away very quickly. I received a great welcome and got a place quickly. Although the store was very busy. The service was great, especially the owner is a very open person. The food was even better. I didn't know that because this Greek restaurant has its own flair. At the weekend I had dinner in Athos with my son (wheelchair user). We were just visiting Dortmund and really enjoyed the evening. My son, who doesn't drink alcohol, was given a non-alcoholic fruit schnapps instead of ouzo, which looked nice and also tasted good to him. The restaurant is barrier-free and the service was super nice and not intrusive. The food was plentiful (I only managed half of it), if we lived in Dortmund I would have had the meat packed for me. The fries were crispy and just right. If we come to Dortmund again, we will visit the Athos again.

New host! But: the quality of the food (with slightly higher prices) is at least as good as before. Just like the hospitable atmosphere that Babis, Romeo and Oxana ensure. So what I posted 11 months ago still applies: Delicious food in a cozy and hospitable atmosphere. Since the prices are right, Athos is now our absolute favorite Greek restaurant!

This Greek restaurant is an absolute recommendation! We've eaten in a lot of Greek restaurants, but what's served here is indescribably delicious. I ordered the stuffed grape leaves and the mushrooms gratinated with feta and the sauce was the creamiest and tastiest I've tasted so far - the whole meal was a culinary dream. My husband had Bifteki and that was equally fabulous. The staff was also very accommodating and we were greeted with an ouzo. So: a clear recommendation for a visit to Dortmund! But be sure to reserve!

Today we ate in Athos for the second time. The first time was during lockdown 2020, which was very disappointing. At first we didn’t “dare” to go there anymore. Today, following a recommendation, a second time. It was absolutely delicious and “welcome”. The meat was grilled really well and had the grill flavors it needed. The service was committed and attentive from the first moment. We didn't have a table reserved and it was really full. Nevertheless, we were greeted warmly and only had to wait five minutes. All in all, we can recommend this restaurant and are looking forward to delicious moments in the outdoor dining area.

Unfortunately, very disappointing again. Price/performance can be greatly improved. Service staff on Thursday extremely unfriendly, not very customer oriented. Drinks were not cleared away and not asked for. A tip is almost required. Portions smaller... prices increased. The old owner was once very popular with his team. A pity. Very unfortunate

Nice atmosphere, super friendly staff and the food is first class. Whether gyros, bifteki or the pork fillet skewer, everything was prepared to perfection, super juicy and excellently seasoned. The timing between starter, pre-salad and main course was perfect. From my point of view, 5 stars are actually not enough. Definitely again on my next visit to Dortmund :)

Super freundlicher und gut gelaunter Service! Hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das wichtigste, das Essen war auch einwandfrei. Geschmacklich top und preis Leistung ist auch sehr gut. Kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Wir waren heute das erste mal hier da wir in Dortmund zu Besuch waren. Da das Restaurant so gut bewertet war und wir Lust auf griechisch hatten, hat es uns hierher verschlagen. Das Hotel war ebenfalls um die Ecke… Der ouzo war überwiegend auch lecker ;)

Sehr netter und aufmerksamer Grieche, waren schon öfters mit Freunden da und sind es immer wieder gerne. Als Begrüßung gibt es immer einen Ouzo und als Abschied aufs Haus. Die Speisen sind immer sehr frisch und lecker zubereitet. Preis-Leistung sehr in Ordnung. Man wird auch gut beraten und alle Extrawünsche mit Freundlichkeit umgesetzt. Daumen hoch für einen freundliches Team und ausgezeichnetes Essen. Nach unserer 6h Fahrt aus München hatten wir Hunger und haben uns auf gut Glück für dieses Restaurant entschieden… unserer Erwartungen wurden übertroffen! Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, zur Begrüßung gab es den üblichen Ouzo und für unseren 1,5 jährigen Sohn einen Kinder Ouzo ;) bestellen durften wir sehr zügig und ebenso zügig kamen Getränke und essen. Das essen war ausgezeichnet, sehr schmackhaft und gut griechisch eben. Fleisch war top, Pommes schön knusprig und der Salat vorweg frisch und knackig. Unser Kellner (der mit den besonders schönen langen Haaren ;)) war super freundlich, hatte immer Zeit für einen Scherz und hat uns sehr herzlich bedient. Generell muss man einfach mal sagen, dass man selten mit einem Kleinkind so herzlich bedient wird. Man fühlt sich einfach wohl. Die Dame an der Theke fand unser Sohn besonders nett und auch der Koch hat ihm eine Packung smarties zugesteckt. Da wir nur zwei Tage in Dortmund verbringen, haben wir uns gleich für den nächsten Tag nochmal angekündigt. Vielen Dank für alles!!

Wir haben uns spontan entschieden und etwa 2 Stunden vorab einen Tisch reserviert. Angekommen wurden wir von Babis, unserem Kellner für den Abend der quasi das ganze Restaurant bediente super freundlich empfangen. Er hatte trotz vollem Laden einen guten Überblick und war fix! Das essen war klasse, ich bin ein Freund der griechischen Küche, hier hat alles gepasst, von klassischen Bauernsalat bis hin zur Hauptspeise, ich hatte einen der Grillteller ausgewählt. Fleisch war top, Pommes knusprig. Ein Schlag von Zaziki den wir nachbestellt hatten kam auch super geschwind. Unser Kellner war von Herzen dabei, hat uns ein tolles Gefühl gegeben und trotz des vollen Ladens immer noch Zeit für einen Scherz gehabt. Das Glas Ouzo wurde ohne zu zögern auch zwischendrin einfach so aufgefüllt. Also wer einen tollen Abend hier haben möchte ist hier richtig! Zum Nachtisch hatten wir noch das Hausgemachte Tiramisu was wirklich fantastisch war! Babis, danke für den tollen Abend!

Kurz gesagt, das Restaurant bietet exzellentes Essen und herausragenden Service, wodurch es absolut empfehlenswert ist.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit aufmerksamer und freundlicher Bedienung. Es dauerte ein wenig bis wir bestellen konnten. Das Essen kam dann aber sehr schnell. Das Essen war gut, lediglich die Pommes waren bei beiden versalzen.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Guter Service und leckeres Essen, liebevoll zubereitet. Der Kellner mit den Locken ist umwerfend gut, sehr nett und aufgeschlossen.

Sehr gutes Essen, gute Portionen. Trotz 12 Leute kam das Essen schnell. Einziger Mini Kritikpunkt . Man konnte die "Scherze" des Kellners schlecht deuten. Sollten es welche gewesen sein. Und die Anmerkung zum Mitnehmen der Essen wegen Nachhaltigkeit war etwas unschön. Wegwerfen wäre ja auch nicht die Lösung gewesen.

Ein kulinarisches Erlebnis, in einer geschmackvollen und mit schönen Details einger. Lokation, die keinen Zweifel aufkommen lässt, dass der Gast, "König" ist.

Wir sind durch Zufall auf das Restaurant gekommen da unser Hotel das in der nähe lag kein Restaurant hat. Das Speisenangebot ist gut, ich denke hier findet jeder etwas auf der Karte. Zum Essen selbst, es ist ehrliches gutes Essen ich denke das beschreibt es ziemlich genau. Es herrscht eine gemütliche Atmosphäre, der Service ist sehr aufmerksam,freundlich und schnell, es herrscht ein beinahe Familiärer Umgangston, was mir persönlich sehr gut gefallen hat.Fazit empfehlenswert wenn ich das nächste Mal in Dortmund bin werde ich hier mit Sicherheit wieder her kommen.

Hallo, ich war jetzt hier mit meinem Opa schon dutzende Male Essen. Noch nie wurde ich hier enttäuscht. Das Essen ist immer Top. Sonderwünsche werden sehr gerne beachtet. Das Kellnerteam ist immer freundlich und Offen. Sehr gerne komme ich wieder hier her!

Ein gemütliches Lokal mit gutem Service, freundlicher Bedienung und gutem Essen. Empfehlenswert!

Wir hatten einen Tisch um 18:30 reservieren lassen- da brummte der Laden schon! Das ist für uns immer ein gutes Zeichen. Was soll ich sagen? Der gute Eindruck hat sich bestätigt! Die Preise sind moderat und die Gerichte von sehr guter Qualität. Ich hatte Schweinemedaillons mit frischen Champignons in Metaxasauce, Röstis und Salat für 15,50 und fand es wirklich sehr lecker- nicht überwürzt, das Fleisch war sehr zart. Sehr empfehlenswert. Obwohl es sehr voll war, war die Wartezeit auf die Gerichte nicht lang. Die Bedienung war freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Es gibt einen kleinen Außenbereich und gute Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Haus. Zur Toilette kann ich nichts sagen, da nicht aufgesucht. Das Restaurant ist auch gut für Rollstuhlfahrer geeignet- nur zur Toilette geht es eine Treppe runter. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen! 🌺

Toller Service, sehr leckeres Essen, aber ein Stern Abzug, weil es kein einziges vegetarisches Hauptgericht gab. Wir haben dann mehrere Vorspeisen bestellt, die sehr lecker waren.

Leckeres Essen und tolle Bedienung. Babis ist einfach super. Es lohnt sich, Athos zu besuchen.

Wie immer vorzüglich gespeist ... Bauch voll und toll 👍. Vor allem Babic im Service ist ein Erlebnis . So einen freundlichen und lustigen Service erlebt man selten. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Durch Zufall haben wir das ATHOS entdeckt, waren auf der Messe in Dortmund. Ohne Reservierung haben wir einen der letzten freien Tische erhalten. Da wir um die späte Uhrzeit nicht soviel essen wollen wurde dem Wunsch eine Hauptspeise mit 2 Tellern sofort entsprochen. Aber das beste an unserem Besuch war der grandiose Geschmack, die Vorspeise war super lecker, dann das Hauptgericht war ein Gedicht. Das Personal super freundlich und immer einen Witz auf den Lippen.

Extrem leckerer Grieche wo man sich wohl fühlt. Immer gerne ! Hat geöffnet, auch wenn es bei Google als dauerhaft geschlossen steht

War ein ganz nettes Lokal, Essen ganz gut, Portionen sehr großzügige.

Nettes griechisches Restaurant mit fairen Preisen und qualitativ hervorragendem Essen. Positiv finde ich auch, dass die Karte nicht mit 200 Gerichten überfrachtet ist. Dies war mein erster Besuch, aber sicher nicht der Letzte. Zum Empfang haben wir einen Ouzo bekommen, zum Abschied sogar nochmal 2 pro Person. Danke für den schönen Abend! 👌
