Today we were able to discover Hamburg's first Yemeni restaurant - and what can we say: the waiting was more than worth it! As a starter we chose the mixed starter plate (€15.90), which came with moutabel, baba ghanoush, fatoush salad, hummus and fresh Moulawah bread offered a true taste experience. The flavors were balanced, fresh and perfectly balanced - ideal for sharing and a wonderful introduction to Yemeni cuisine. The main course was the Mandy lamb plate (€19.90). The slow-cooked lamb was incredibly tender and intensely flavored - you can practically taste it being traditionally prepared, almost like it came from an underground oven. The Mandy rice served with it was light and aromatic, and the spicy Sahaweq sauce rounded off the dish perfectly. The portion was very generous – ideal for sharing or for really big hunger. The restaurant was busy, what The quality speaks for itself – a table reservation is therefore recommended in advance. The ambience is authentic and inviting, the service friendly and attentive. Conclusion: Authentic Yemeni cuisine, generous portions and fair prices – clear recommendation! We'll definitely be back.

Despite the dull weather in Hamburg, upon entering this little Yemeni gem, you immediately felt the warm Arabian sun - not through the windows, but through the delicious food prepared with love and authentic seasoning. Dinner was a real treat: from tender meat dishes to aromatic side dishes, every bite told a story. The friendly treatment is particularly worth mentioning: When a small mistake happened and the salad was initially forgotten, it was generously given to us - a gesture that has become rare these days and speaks for true hospitality. The prices were moderate, almost modest for the quality on offer. Only the ambience could, with a little fine-tuning, make it even more inviting to linger. But if a restaurant manages to warm the soul through taste alone, then one is happy to forgive small visual weaknesses. Conclusion: If you want to be whisked away to the south for an evening - without a plane ticket - this is the right place for you. Unreservedly recommended.

Hey, I tested it, but it was the last time. It started with the order being accepted very carelessly, you couldn't assign the number to the dish. The main course came before the starter, drinks had to be remembered. No asking whether everything is OK, let alone whether you would like to order anything else. Instead you had to walk to the counter every time. No napkins at the table or at least with the cutlery. Even an hour after dinner, we politely asked if the table could be cleared away. However, it wasn't possible to take more than two plates with us. The taste was ok but not convincing either. Toilet (one for each gender) more than underground. If the kitchen works like the toilet looks, then goodnight

Since there are not many Yemeni restaurants in Germany, recommended. In my dish, some of the potato pieces were not completely cooked through, but the spices made them very tasty. Bread was great. The Yemeni restaurant in Munich is much better in terms of location and food. Compared to the one in London where I was, the one in Hamburg is also worse. Compared to those in Birmingham, this one is significantly better in terms of location when it comes to food but is more in the middle range.
