Café Steiner at the river in Plochingen

We celebrated our wedding at the Steiner am Fluss and couldn't have wished for a better location! The setting is stunning – with the beautiful half-timbered house, the idyllic fountain, and the atmospheric atmosphere right on the river. The entire team was extremely friendly, attentive, and welcoming – from the service staff to the owners. Our approximately 70 guests and we felt completely at home. We were particularly impressed by the attention to detail: Our pictures were hung on the lamp above the large round table, and the decoration with the beautiful flowers was simply magical. The food was excellent, the prices very fair, and everything ran smoothly. A perfect day in a perfect location – an absolute recommendation!

A very nice place, perfect for a relaxing break before or after a walk. The food is good. The staff is very friendly. There are also various events on the weekends with music, etc. We've also seen weddings here several times.

Nice and friendly staff and service. The dishes are delicious and the prices are absolutely reasonable. The cakes are varied, delicious, and fresh. The café is located in a park, and there's a small beer garden next door, connected to the café, where you can sit outside. In the beer garden area, you can order drinks and other beverages from a small bar outside. The vibe of the shop is very friendly and welcoming. It has a beautiful setting.

Great live band, delicious food, and no line at the tap (that's where the beer comes from). Located right at the B10 intersection in Plochingen on the garden show grounds.

The food is delicious. The tarte flambée was a 10/10! The waitress (I don't know if his name was Hüseyin) was sooooo great. A really nice person ☺️

We had a very good meal, and the ambiance was also very nice. It was a little difficult to find suitable dishes for the children. There is no children's menu or children's meals. Fries were available upon request. Due to a lack of staff, the Maultaschen couldn't be served plain in the broth, but only as a baked version with cheese and spinach, as shown on the menu. Absolutely delicious! But for our young children, we had spinach with cheese and the children had Maultaschen 😅 We certainly understand the lack of staff and were very satisfied with the service.

Although I've been visiting Plochingen frequently for years, I only recently discovered how beautiful the grounds of the State Garden Show are. I stopped at Café Steiner for pasta with zucchini and chanterelles and a wheat beer. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the service is extremely friendly and accommodating. I'll be visiting there more often in the future.

Wir haben mediterranes Gemüse mit Schafskäse bestellt und Reis. Das Gemüse war verkocht, ebenso der Reis, sehr enttäuschend. Ich bezweifle, ob das Gemüse tatsächlich täglich frisch zubereitet wird. Macht mir eher den Eindruck von schon vorgefertigt und aufgewärmt. Der Kuchen war leider auch nicht mehr topfrisch...Der Service ist schnell und unglaublich freundlich und die Lage unschlagbar.

The tables and benches in the beer garden were a bit sticky and dirty, so in my opinion they should be washed. We will certainly not visit this beer garden again. Unfortunately, just clearing away glasses will not solve this problem.

The food is very good, there are a few vegetarian ones (tarte flambée, cheese spaetzle...) and a vegan tarte flambée. When the weather is nice, it quickly fills up outside. We like coming here. There is also a beer garden, which is often well attended.

When I still lived in Wernau, I enjoyed spending my time here, with the beautiful, large essentials, simply wonderful. Since I moved to Stuttgart because of a separation, I haven't been able to come anymore. But I'm planning to move to my old home, then I'll come back to the cafe more often, I promise 🌼🌺

Today we were able to take advantage of a wonderful summer evening for our midwife meeting with you - as we have done for so many years! Otherwise mostly at the beautiful, lovingly decorated round table on the upper floor. Despite the large group, we were served very quickly, as always, with excellent, fresh food and - a big compliment for the large number of guests - always so friendly and flexible, just really great!

Although there was a lot going on and there was still a large party to be catered for, we (18 people) received excellent, quick and very friendly service. As a Valley Connection big band, we have www. v-c-b-b.de entertained the audience musically on June 23rd, 2024 and the Steiners always had an open ear for us despite the large influx of visitors (on the topic of electricity connections, chairs, etc.). Even before the tour of the great location, everything was uncomplicated, very nice and hospitable. Finally, we were also looking forward to the “on-top” of the agreements. Very happy again and again!

So we had reserved and sat in the inside area. The menu was a torn piece of paper that I didn't even want to touch! To my surprise, the food was super fresh and tasty and served very quickly. What I found great was fresh flowers as table decorations and the outside area was very well maintained and beautiful. The ratan furniture is not comfortable and the tables remind you of a canteen, unfortunately. Service people very attentive and friendly! Price performance ok. We'd love to come back, hopefully with a more appealing, clean menu!

The Steiner am Fluss is a cozy and timelessly furnished café including a beer garden in the Bruckenwasenpark Plochingen. There are plenty of seating options inside and outside, some with sun protection. We've had a drink and something to eat here several times and have been completely satisfied so far. The service served us in a friendly yet quick manner and brought the order promptly, regardless of whether it was just a drink or a meal. The portions are large enough and the price is definitely justified given the quality and taste of the dishes. Anyone looking for delicious food and good drinks in a beautiful restaurant close to nature is well served here. I would love to come back.

We ordered a picnic basket from Café Steiner and then had a great picnic in the adjacent park. The basket was lovingly filled with many delicacies. Although there was a lot going on, the staff was friendly and the boss told us we were welcome to say if there wasn't enough. But everything was great, we were full… Absolutely recommended from us!!

The location is very nice and the catering runs smoothly. Unfortunately, in terms of food, you have to say that there is still a lot of room for improvement. The dressing for the sausage salad probably only consists of cucumber water.

Most Sunday mornings there is live music. If there are cancellations, nothing can be seen on the homepage.

There is nothing to complain about in itself, except that you should check the invoice carefully. Unfortunately, it's strange that on two visits about 3 hours apart, the first time an ice cream was overcharged at the counter and later a wine spritzer was overcharged at dinner. We don't want to insinuate anything, but we are refraining from further visits, even though the atmosphere is very inviting. Sorry.

Eine sehr schöne Lokalität. Das essen ist sehr gut der Service stimmt und die Lage ist besonders bei schönen Sommertagen perfekt. Einziger Nachteil ist eventuell die schlechtere Erreichbarkeit mit einem Auto.

Schöne Lage im Park, schöne Einrichtung, nicht nur ein gewöhnlicher Biergarten. Preise für Plichingen etwas teuer. Aperol Sprizz für 7,50 Euro ist etwas zuviel.

Nettes Ausflugslokal mit Fahrrad und zu Fuß gut zu erreichen, jedoch mit dem Auto ist die Parkplatzsuche ein wenig Abenteuerlich.

Tolles Ambiente. Die Portionen sind super lecker aber sehr groß. Ich war mit der Kinderportion mehr als satt. Der Nachtisch war himmlisch.

Sehr gutes Essen und freundliches Personal haben dort auch Boule gespielt. Die Kugeln kann man leihen 👍
