We always used to come here for the very clever Maultäschle trilogy. After Corona, prices rose sharply and portions became smaller. We would have gotten over one measure, but both at the same time meant that we didn't go there anymore. Today we ate there again. Unfortunately the trilogy no longer exists. We then had a soup as a starter, which tasted excellent, but was served in a milk jug (yes, a milk jug). 150 ml of soup that then disappears into a large bowl for €9.90... It's hard to understand why people save money on soup, that really upset me. The Maultaschen was only lukewarm and a little dried out, and the potato salad was unfortunately very sour. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was also tiny... The kitchen actually has a lot to offer, but the price/performance ratio is simply no longer right here. Either home-style cooking or fine dining - both at the same time don't work, at least for us. Still, all the best.

There is a very nice beer garden here. Also suitable when the weather is not ideal.

Last week we had our church wedding and afterwards we went to the champagne reception in the Staigers Waldhorn. This took place in the beer garden in the fresh air. Various drinks and finger food selections, which were very well received by the guests. The meal then continued upstairs in the historic ballroom. Both starters and main course were very tasty. The starters were served and each guest received their starter at the same time. The main course was then served as a buffet. The service staff always went through and refilled the drinks regularly. The entire staff is very nice and we would recommend the Staigers Waldhorn.

Bodenständiges bürgerliches Essen mit saisonalen Angebote in einem deutsch geführten Restaurant. Auch so etwas leckeres wie gebackene Leber ist auf der Speisekarte ( okay, ist Geschmackssache). Schmackhafter Beisalat, ordentlich Soße😊.

I used to always eat here, but then I haven't eaten here for about 15 years. Now 6 months ago once with a closed group, then 2 days ago as a couple with my mother. With the company, the food wasn't particularly great, but the service was very friendly. But the experience the day before yesterday was really underground. It started when we sat down at a free table in a half-empty restaurant (there were no reserved signs anywhere), were ignored for 10 minutes and then pointed out that it was customary to wait at the entrance until you are seated at a table by the staff. Unfortunately, there is no sign or staff in the entrance area and this rule does not seem to have applied to other guests who came. Otherwise the service wasn't really friendly and orders for drinks were ignored. The food was overall bad. The exception was the side salad, which was really tasty. The roulade with spring vegetables was particularly bad. The meat came sliced ​​and was completely dry (probably kept warm under the salamander for too long) and the grilled vegetables were heavily browned on the outside and yet almost raw on the inside! I love crunchy vegetables, but that wasn't possible! The sauce was ok, the spaetzle was good, but the disappointment was great. The veal slices were better but just below average! The espresso and cappucino came from a fully automatic machine, and that's how they tasted. The only thing worth mentioning is the prices. We only paid 61 euros for roulade, side salad, veal slices, apple juice spritzer, tea, espresso and cappucino! But there was a little outrageousness at the end! We only wanted to tip 4 euros for 61 euros because we really weren't satisfied with the service or the food. But that was probably not enough for the service person and so she told us that she couldn't accept tips when paying by card. I'm really disappointed because I have a lot of good childhood memories with this place. What a shame, just a shame!

Despite a reservation, we got a table in the really unkempt/uncomfortable next room. The food wasn't good. Except for the boss, the waitresses were young girls/temp workers. Somehow inappropriate when everyone is addressed by the boss with Hello dear ones, bon appetit dear ones, did it taste good dear ones....really everyone in the room dear ones, dear ones, dear ones... I also don't want to be constantly touched on the shoulder... which was also done for all the guests. Not again for us....But it used to be really good here.

Staiger's Waldhorn has long been one of our favorite restaurants. We were even more disappointed during today's visit! The almost cold cauliflower was not “al dente” but too hard to the bite. “Gorgonzola sauce” a watery bechamel around the potatoes. The ham and cheese slice were also very cool and tasteless. A very tasty and simple dish was miserably ruined. The star goes to the Szeged goulash, which was unfortunately served as a children's portion with a watery, indefinable lumpy sauce. It turned out that it was supposed to be mashed potatoes. An unknown taste characterized the porridge! CERTAINLY not nutmeg. It was 2 p.m. and we were hungry. The dishes we ordered were tasteless and carelessly prepared, but hunger drove us through it. We didn't want to take on the stress of an unsuccessful argument with the waiter. He stayed away from our table even though we were the last guests in the garden and, as expected, didn't ask if the food was okay. No surprise either. We left the garden uneasily, taking with us the image of the assembled kitchen crew, who were smiling and eating large portions on appetizingly prepared plates.

Large family, Christmas dinner booked here because of the image. Our expectations were significantly tempered. I wanted fries with my €35 main course. "That's not possible. You have to (!) take it as it says on the card!" “We have 250 meals today, there are no changes.” (So ​​fries are a problem?) The taste of my meal was bland, it said beef and veal on the menu, but only 1 slice of meat on the plate (from 2 animals?) Sorry, but that was 2 visits. The first and the last. Then rather here in Ludwigsburg.

Waren dort zum Weihnachtsessen. Das Essen hat vorzüglich geschmeckt. Der Service war außerordentlich gut. Von der Bedienung über die Chefin waren alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ein Besuch im Wsldhorn lohnt sich immer. Freut euch auf das Essen .

Schönes Restaurant mit toller Deutsche Küche mit viel Auswahl und Jahreszeitlich Angebote Herbst und Winter wild. Einfach prima und sehr gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis. Und sehr nettes Personal. Achtung vorreservieren ist immer voll.

Eher außergewöhnliche Kominationen. Einen eher schlechten Nudelsalat zum Salat serviert zu bekommen, muss man mögen. Bei einer Gruppe von 12 Personen war der erste mit dem Essen fertig, bevor der letzte sein Gericht hatte .

Super leckeres Essen (z.B. Wurstsalat, Ente, Schnitzel, Maultaschen, Gans ...), überwiegend eisiger Nachtisch, sehr nette Bedienung ... gerne wieder.

Trotz der vielen lobenden Worte habe ich eine kleine Kritik. Essen gut aber leider bei mir nur warm angekommen nicht heiß. Leider auch Portion zu klein. Und das Kräuterpüree war mit 1,5 Gramm Trockengewürz versetzt,ob das aus einem Kartoffelpüree ein Kräuterpüree macht?

Am Essen gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Auch der Service ist entsprechend. Nur diesmal war unser Platz direkt an der Eingangstüre und der lädt nicht zum Verweilen ein.

Wir haben heute sehr gut dort gegessen. Es gibt eine ganze Seite mit vegetarischen Speisen und natürlich auch jede Menge Klassiker, aber auch Wildgerichte, Lamm usw. Der Service war aufmerksam. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis angemessen. Absolut empfehlenswert. Wir Kö mein gerne wieder!

Leider war diesesmal unser Essen nicht in Ordnung. Das Rahmgeschnetzeltes war sehr trocken und dadurch hatte es keinen Geschmack. Ich habe das auch angesprochen. Das Staiger's bekommt beim nächsten Besuch nochmals eine Chance, da wir sonst immer zufrieden waren.

Das Essen von der Tageskarte heute war sehr gut. Die Preise von der Tages- bzw. Wochenkarte sind super. Die Gerichte auf der normalen Karte sind gehobener. Der Service war super.

Wunderschöner Biergarten unter Kastanien, Essen war gut, Service super freundlich und Preise fair.

Schwäbisches Essen so wie es schmecken muss! Das Fleisch war spitze und die Spätzle auch, genau wie der Beilagensalat. Das Servicepersonal war ebenfalls super nett! Essen 10/10 Bier 10/10

Ich war Besucher einer Firmenveranstaltung. Zum Frühstück/während der Veranstaltung gab es Butterbrezeln, Kaffee, Wasser und Getränke. Alles ordentlich vorbereitet und schön präsentiert. Nach der Fortbildung wurden wir zum Mittagessen eingeladen. Das Essen war sehr lecker, heiß auf den Tellern angekommen und alle Sonderwünsche wurden erfüllt. Gerne wieder!

Super Restaurant, war zum ersten mal hier, werde bestimmt wiederkommen.

Im großen und ganzen nur Durchschnitt, lange Wartezeit das hier nicht nach der Reihe bedient wird sollte einem bewusst sein, mein Chef burger war leider mc Donald Qualität, Brötchen komplett durchweicht, grillgemüse war verbrannt und teils roh, sosse war nicht identifizierbar alles in allem würde ich den burger nicht weiterempfehlen, und das bei einer Wartezeit von über 50min.... Bedingung mäßig freundlich, kinderbesteck kam nie an. Werde in Zukunft woanders speißen.

Sehr freundliches Service Personal, Essen gut bürgerlich sehr gut. Ambiente ist die einer Brauerei Gaststätte.

Im Rahmen der DVG - Versammlung am 04.07. 2023 wurden Getränkewünsche aufgenommen, aber nicht alle bereit gestellt. Nach gezielter Nachfrage am Ausschank hat mir eine sehr unfreundliche und aufbrausende Servicekraft gesagt, bei Ihr sei nichts bestellt worden und ausserdem solte ich freundlicher fragen???? Also mein Fazit: So geht man mit Gästen nicht um, wenn berechtigte Nachfragen Anliegen. Man will ja nichts geschenkt !!!! Unzufriedene Gäste bringen kein Umsatz!!!!!

Lauwarmes Essen und Knödel vom Vortag, geht garnicht und das zu dem Preis! Die Portion war sehr überschaubar. Bedienung freundlich.

Egal ob Alpenschnitzel, Maultaschen, Zwiebelrostbrsten oder vor allem der halben Ente, kann man getrost das prädikat „spitzenklasse“ verleihen! Es war uns ein Fest, hier eine Woche verköstigt worden zu sein 👍🏼❤️

An sich alles super dort. Personal ist freundlich, Essen schmeckt gut. War sehr zufrieden beim Besuch. Mein einziges Manko ist tatsächlich das Ambiente was mir persönlich etwas weniger zusagt - aber das ist absolute Geschmacksache.

Ganz toller Service, das Personal immer freundlich und humorvoll. Waren schon oft dort und haben dort immer sehr lecker gegessen. Wir wissen wovon wir reden, denn wir sind sehr verwöhnt, da unser Sohn die Meisterausbildung zum Koch absolviert hat und wir sehr sehr gutes Essen gewohnt sind. Können das Historische Brauhaus sehr empfehlen und kommen gerne immer wieder.

Durch einen geschäftlichen Anlass hatte ich die Gelegenheit hier zu essen. Die erste Herausforderung bestand darin aus der Karte aus all den leckeren Vorschlägen eine Auswahl zu treffen. Bestimmt 3 oder 4 Gerichte hätte ich auf Anhieb bestellen können. Am Ende habe ich den Wildererteller genommen. Und was soll ich sagen: wow! Eine tolle Auswahl an kleinen Wild-Köstlichkeiten, von der Wirsingeoulade über Rehmaultäschen bis hin zur rosa Keule. Dazu Rotkohl, Spätzle und Champignons satt. Es war eigentlich viel zu viel, aber weil’s so lecker war habe ich dennoch alles gegessen. Die Kollegen waren auch alle der selben Meinung: Alles sehr lecker und reichlich! Daher von mir eine klare Empfehlung.

Ein kulinarischer Leuchtturm in Corona Einöde ist das Haus welches ausgezeichnete Schwäbische Küche bietet. Ob Rahmgeschnetzeltes oder Linsen mit Saiten und Spätzle die Küche ist mit einer Reichlichen Speisekarte auf alles vorbereitet. Die Bedienung ist allgegenwärtig und ist stets um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht.

Scheinbar eine der ersten Gäst nach dem Ende des Lockdown: Hervorragende Spargelplatte für 2 Personen - vorallem das Spargelragout.

Op weg naar huis vanaf Flachau in Plochingen terechtgekomen voor tussenstop. Hotelletje geboekt en hier bij Waldhorn gaan eten. Eten was heerlijk, regionale gerechten, bediening heel aardig, wijntjes ook lekker! Zeker een aanrader.

Schnitzel wurde in der Fritteuse gemacht, war ziemlich fettig und schmeckte nach gebrauchtem Fett. Preis Leistung stimmt überhaupt nicht. Kann ich gar nicht empfehlen.

Die Portionen waren sehr klein, das Essen lauwarm, die Knödel sehr hart. Die Bedienung - naja, es war andauernd jemand anderes am Tisch, es wurde wegen vollem Lokal kein weiteres Getränk und auch kein Nachtisch angeboten! Das kann man besser machen, zumal die Preise nicht gerade niedrig sind!
