It wasn't my first time here. And I was very hungry. But the portion was really good. Delicious, on point, very appealing. The eyes are also treated to a lot here. It tastes good indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather. And it's also worth meeting up with friends or colleagues. Give it a try.

really bad food, not recommended.

Very nice waitresses, but recently the cafe has been attracting really strange customers. People sit too close to each other outdoors, especially at a table with strangers. The men's groups in particular are very loud and unpleasant. It's a shame, it used to be very nice to sit there. Yesterday we were constantly talking about grass and while we were eating there was a smell of cigarettes coming from left and right. It's really more pleasant inside. It was so loud that you could no longer understand your own words.

I actually go there every weekend to relax - the atmosphere is really pleasant too. But a black-haired, thin and taller waiter suddenly said that on weekends you were only allowed to sit down “with food” and sent us away. This is how you lose regular customers. A waiter like that doesn't fit at Café Spitz. Two stars – just because a lot of things have been right so far.

We went to Spitz for an Aperol today. Highly recommended, you could really sit in the sun. The Aperol tasted particularly delicious and I can recommend the olives - I've rarely had such good olives. Clear recommendation!

Charging 10.20 for this is a bit of a joke

Sitting down for lunch with my 83 year old mom last Sunday. Several waiters were running back and forth - it was only a third full - no service was served for almost 20 minutes!! - Waiters were always walking past us - serving guests who arrived later and chatting with other guests...totally unpleasant and unprofessional something like that :-((( when we left a waiter came towards us and we asked, do they serve you too? Answer: yes, we serve everywhere! That was my last visit here 😞

Absolutely unacceptable behavior from the waiter named Flamur. After waiting over an hour for our food, we asked for it, only to be treated with complete disrespect. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, we were told to pay for our drinks and leave - the meal was simply cancelled. Incredibly rude, unprofessional and completely anti-customer. Such behavior is not worthy of a restaurant business. Never again – absolutely not recommended!

The “all you can eat” buffet is an imposition. We ordered this with 7 people and the portion size was just enough for 3 people. We reordered immediately. Each of these reorders took 30 minutes to arrive.

The service is a disaster. One gets the impression that the café is trying to serve as little food as possible to the guests who have ordered the “all you can eat breakfast”. Service only comes to the table every 15-20 minutes. Reordering scrambled eggs takes 30 minutes.

After a long time back in the Spitz. A very good price-performance ratio at breakfast. Service very friendly and attentive 👍.

Dear Kaffee Spitz team, What exactly is going wrong for you? To be honest, my visit today was a complete failure - and it wasn't because of the coffee, but because of your staff. I have rarely experienced so many unfriendly, hectic and obviously annoyed waiters in one place. Everyone says something different, no one seems to have the overview, and friendliness is probably a foreign word for you. People look at you as if you had just personally disturbed me - when in fact I just wanted to order something, not negotiate world peace. No smile, zero patience, and as soon as you have a question, things get messy. What kind of interaction with guests is this? You really lose your appetite - and the desire to ever come back. I hope you can get this under control. A little training in customer friendliness certainly can't hurt. Annoyed greetings

We sat outside today in the wonderful sunshine and were served in a very friendly and courteous manner by a nice gentleman who obviously really enjoys his job. For every guest - that's what we noticed around us - he had a friendly and personal word! Food and drinks came quickly and were very tasty and fresh. Clear recommendation!

We just sat outside for 15 minutes waiting for our order to be taken while others around us were being served (even people who arrived after us). When the waiter came to us, we were asked to sit at another table "because lawyers want to have lunch here and always sit here." Then the waiter left again without taking our order. Bottomless impudence!

I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. A bone-dry schnitzel, bad, watery pepper sauce, the fries so-so.

The café/restaurant is very centrally located in Bonn. We were there on a Friday evening and it was incredibly crowded. It's a shame that you first have to go through the smoking terrace to get to the entrance. The menu has something for everyone and the prices are still great. However, in order to improve quality, I would reduce the menu and make the portions a little smaller (hence only 4/5 stars). Overall, the restaurant is highly recommended. The staff is fantastic and very thoughtful and friendly!

Good prices, but oat milk in coffee for 90ct is way over the top. For this you get half a liter...

A 90 cent surcharge for oat milk is an imposition on people who care about protecting our planet.

We ate here with a larger group of around 39 people. From my point of view everything went great. I had the rump steak and was very happy with it. I'd love to come back.

What a beautiful café, but the best thing is the service here, no guest is left out in the cold, whether with or without a reservation, as we did.

We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas party among colleagues in the afternoon in a separate room, with a very attentive waiter and a large selection of drinks and food, so there was something for every taste. There were also Christmas drinks and seasonal meals. Everyone was very satisfied and happy. I also spent one or two lunch breaks here with my husband at other times of the year. The atmosphere is very cozy and homely, especially in the small extra rooms. Always recommended!

I ordered a latte macchiato with alcohol when I took a sip there was no alcohol and I wanted to do it with alcohol, it was very disrespectful and didn't change anything. It's a shame for such a coffee shop

Always my pleasure. I've been there countless times with my family and would love to come back. The food is great, the service is simply incredible - always there and courteous. The location is also great. Beautifully decorated in every season.

The cafe as a whole is not bad, I mostly order dessert and coffee, but the last time I ordered Margherita pizza, I have never eaten such a tasteless bird anywhere in Bonn, the dough was spread with tomato paste and, most likely, they forgot to put cheese.

Very chic large cafe. Ultra modern with great service. Central location and very good food.

Thank you for this great service in a “café”. Not a star restaurant. Everyone had fun working here, you could always tell. And then cakes, waffles etc. also taste super good. The carrot cake was very tasty. 🤤 We were there to meet before a JGA and it was such a nice atmosphere that we could have just stayed seated. 🥰

Were there yesterday for a late coffee, the portions were good, but with the waffles with vanilla ice cream and hot cherries the cherries could have been bound. However, the seasonal latte macchiato with speculatzicus syrup was very tasty and I recommend it!! Definitely try it 😋🧇 The staff was also very friendly and not shy about talking to us 😁

Unfortunately, it's not my style to rate something bad, but I was disappointed with the food (entrecóte was too bloody and just burnt on the outside! / Saltimbocca was ok in one piece and the other piece was as thin as a french fry, simply coated) for that matter I expect a high price more. Unfortunately, the only thing that saves is the situation! In my opinion it is Spitz is only suitable for drinks etc., unfortunately not more than that!

There is no zero star, otherwise zero star would have been specified!! Yesterday around 11 p.m. we wanted to have a drink here, a waiter behaved very unfriendly and unprofessional! I wanted to talk to the shift manager about it, but he was even ruder. Usually the manager will try to remedy the situation in one of these ways and be friendly to guests!! but the way he behaves has nothing to do with hospitality!! That's why I wouldn't recommend anyone to plan their evening here!

Café and restaurant with an outdoor terrace, very centrally in a pedestrian zone in downtown Bonn. The food is nothing extraordinary but OK and the ambience is pleasant. The service is nice and attentive. Ideal for meeting friends or for a large group.

July 2024: Dinner outside Very nice atmosphere, most of the employees greet their guests with a smile and make sure that drinks etc. are always there. From the starter to the espresso and the dessert, everything is exclusive, hot and very good quality. We had: Bruschetta Mediteranea: Italian farmer's bread with olive oil, tomato, mozzarella, rocket & garlic Penne Arrabbiata: with tomato sauce, garlic & hot peppers Tagliatelle with pesto: Ribbon noodles in homemade rocket and nut pesto, on the side Spinach & honey caramelized thyme goat cheese Bitter lemon Rabarbar spritzer 3 scoops of ice cream Hot brownie I can recommend this restaurant 100%. I've already sat inside. Very nice also for larger groups. There is also a slightly separate restaurant area for exclusive wine evenings or family celebrations, etc. This restaurant section is a little quieter, e.g. very suitable for business meals, etc. I would love to come back in the morning for a delicious breakfast. The drinks list and food menu is excellent. Everything from vegan to vegetarian, fish, meat and seafood. The drinks menu is exclusive and unusual, very good selection. I don't have a dog, but have seen that they are welcome both indoors and outdoors with a water bowl Update September 2024: Early this afternoon Penne Arrabbiata Eaten with tomato sauce, garlic & hot peppers. This time inside. As always, everything was excellent and super tasty. Mixed guests of all ages. I'd love to come back!

We were here for brunch. All in all, a very well-rounded affair. A super good breakfast, really tasty, lots of choice and top service. I can actually only recommend it. The only drawback is that the tables outside are too small for the rich breakfast. Dear team, keep it up 👍

Unfortunately it was a bit understaffed, but the employees couldn't do anything about it, but they still tried extremely hard. Unfortunately, the Spitz Burger was a rather below-average burger with no mayo/ketchup to go with the fries. I wouldn't recommend it. The apple pie was very good though.

Actually a nice café with an outdoor area. Unfortunately the service is unfriendly and indifferent. My question as to whether one could omit an ingredient from the lunch dish was initially accepted. After a super long wait (if you offer lunch it should be clear that you will receive your food quickly), the waiter stood in front of us with the food and indifferently announced that it was not possible. If he had communicated this immediately after ordering after consulting the chef, I would have ordered something different. So given the advanced time, my only choice was to accept the food or stay hungry. Nobody asked whether it was tasty, the dessert included in the lunch was simply slammed onto the table without a few friendly words. My plate was simply left because the waiter apparently couldn't carry four plates. The lunch menu is also unbalanced, sometimes two meat dishes or two fish dishes, instead of a meat and a vegetarian option or possibly variants with/without meat or fish. Absolutely unacceptable and no longer a lunch option for me.

We were there for breakfast and were looking forward to an all you can eat. This was then served at the table with a selection of everything and you could always order more if something was empty. That's the principle. Unfortunately, the waitress rarely came by or you had to remember your order, which unfortunately made reordering annoying. The cafe wasn't full. A buffet would make much more sense, where everyone could get what they like. Things that you haven't eaten or that you wouldn't eat yourself end up being thrown away. This is neither sustainable nor sensible. It's a shame, unfortunately we won't be coming for breakfast anymore.

Went there today for brunch with 4 people. Breakfast was good and tasted good. 3 people ordered the Sunday brunch and one person ordered the bowl. Unfortunately, all dishes ordered in the all you can brunch were charged extra because the person with the bowl was accused of eating with them. It's a shame that you aren't informed beforehand. We will definitely look for another location on future visits to Bonn.

It is a cafe and restaurant with German and Italian food. It also incorporates some Spanish dishes. The service is very attentive. I have had bruschetta, flammkuche for dinner and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was great and the prices were pretty good considering how expensive Germany is.

Been here today. The citizen is loveless and very dry. Rarely have I had such a bad burger. My wife had the same thing with the schnitzel. Poorly prepared dry. You can save yourself the visit.

While my colleagues seemed happy, I was definitely disappointed overall. Overall, the Jägerschnitzel was unfortunately one of the worst so far. The Dino Schnitzel from the pan definitely tastes better and higher quality to me. Unfortunately incomprehensible for 18 euros. Juice spritzer with hardly any juice and also with the note when ordering a second spritzer, please not to stretch it so much, the exact same result, with a 0.2L glass for 4.5€. Service was nice and friendly.
