Nice cafe with good breakfast/food.

July 2024: Dinner outside Very nice atmosphere, most of the employees greet their guests with a smile and make sure that drinks etc. are always there. From the starter to the espresso and the dessert, everything is exclusive, hot and very good quality. We had: Bruschetta Mediteranea: Italian farmer's bread with olive oil, tomato, mozzarella, rocket & garlic Penne Arrabbiata: with tomato sauce, garlic & hot peppers Tagliatelle with pesto: Ribbon noodles in homemade rocket and nut pesto, on the side Spinach & honey caramelized thyme goat cheese Bitter lemon Rabarbar spritzer 3 scoops of ice cream Hot brownie I can recommend this restaurant 100%. I've already sat inside. Very nice also for larger groups. There is also a slightly separate restaurant area for exclusive wine evenings or family celebrations, etc. This restaurant section is a little quieter, e.g. very suitable for business meals, etc. I would love to come back in the morning for a delicious breakfast. The drinks list and food menu is excellent. Everything from vegan to vegetarian, fish, meat and seafood. The drinks menu is exclusive and unusual, very good selection. I don't have a dog, but have seen that they are welcome both indoors and outdoors with a water bowl Update September 2024: Early this afternoon Penne Arrabbiata Eaten with tomato sauce, garlic & hot peppers. This time inside. As always, everything was excellent and super tasty. Mixed guests of all ages. I'd love to come back!

Service is a horror! Unfortunately, Café Spitz only seems to live on the name and the attractive location. Unfortunately, breakfast and service are no longer convincing at all

We were here for brunch. All in all, a very well-rounded affair. A super good breakfast, really tasty, lots of choice and top service. I can actually only recommend it. The only drawback is that the tables outside are too small for the rich breakfast. Dear team, keep it up 👍

Unfortunately it was a bit understaffed, but the employees couldn't do anything about it, but they still tried extremely hard. Unfortunately, the Spitz Burger was a rather below-average burger with no mayo/ketchup to go with the fries. I wouldn't recommend it. The apple pie was very good though.

Actually a nice café with an outdoor area. Unfortunately the service is unfriendly and indifferent. My question as to whether one could omit an ingredient from the lunch dish was initially accepted. After a super long wait (if you offer lunch it should be clear that you will receive your food quickly), the waiter stood in front of us with the food and indifferently announced that it was not possible. If he had communicated this immediately after ordering after consulting the chef, I would have ordered something different. So given the advanced time, my only choice was to accept the food or stay hungry. Nobody asked whether it was tasty, the dessert included in the lunch was simply slammed onto the table without a few friendly words. My plate was simply left because the waiter apparently couldn't carry four plates. The lunch menu is also unbalanced, sometimes two meat dishes or two fish dishes, instead of a meat and a vegetarian option or possibly variants with/without meat or fish. Absolutely unacceptable and no longer a lunch option for me.

We were there for breakfast and were looking forward to an all you can eat. This was then served at the table with a selection of everything and you could always order more if something was empty. That's the principle. Unfortunately, the waitress rarely came by or you had to remember your order, which unfortunately made reordering annoying. The cafe wasn't full. A buffet would make much more sense, where everyone could get what they like. Things that you haven't eaten or that you wouldn't eat yourself end up being thrown away. This is neither sustainable nor sensible. It's a shame, unfortunately we won't be coming for breakfast anymore.

You can sit outside wonderfully, the service came very quickly and was very friendly. It's not cheap, but we'd love to come back.

Went there today for brunch with 4 people. Breakfast was good and tasted good. 3 people ordered the Sunday brunch and one person ordered the bowl. Unfortunately, all dishes ordered in the all you can brunch were charged extra because the person with the bowl was accused of eating with them. It's a shame that you aren't informed beforehand. We will definitely look for another location on future visits to Bonn.

It is a cafe and restaurant with German and Italian food. It also incorporates some Spanish dishes. The service is very attentive. I have had bruschetta, flammkuche for dinner and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was great and the prices were pretty good considering how expensive Germany is.

Been here today. The citizen is loveless and very dry. Rarely have I had such a bad burger. My wife had the same thing with the schnitzel. Poorly prepared dry. You can save yourself the visit.

Juice spritzer with hardly any juice and also with the note when ordering a second spritzer, please not to stretch it so much, the exact same result, with a 0.2L glass for 4.5€. We went there for the football game of Italy VS Switzerland. What an amazing place ! The food was delicious and fair prices as well ! But the greatest thank you goes to the team, specially Daniel ! The main reason why we will come back ! You can sit well there, but the employees are a complete disaster (not all of them). I wanted to sit down there with a friend; a young gentleman there had never heard of guest friendship. He has slicked brush hair. We asked for a table for 2 people, didn't get a hello back at first, he told us coldly without looking in the eye that there wasn't a free table, then a COLLEAGUE from the WAITER came and he wanted to offer him a table for 2 straight away, although who didn't want to sit down. Such waiters spoil the fun. I hope that he doesn't behave like that in the future and remains an appropriate WAITER and doesn't act like a boss. Lg

The food is actually ok and we always enjoyed being here. Our son wanted to watch football here and celebrate with his friends. They waited 1 1/2 hours to get a place. Then your place will go to someone else. We don't go there anymore.

Good service but the pizza salami tasted like frozen salami

Today my friends and I visited Café Spitz and ordered a cocktail. Since my hands were wet from the cocktail, I asked the employee in the white blouse for a tissue. To my surprise, I received a rude response: "I can't give you a tissue, you have to go to the toilet." I then got up and grabbed a tissue from the counter to clean my hands. I found this behavior extremely inappropriate.

I've been to Café Spitz many times: for breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinking cocktails,... I was extremely satisfied every time. The service is great and the food is absolutely delicious. The price/performance ratio is also right here, despite the increased prices in cafés and restaurants everywhere.

We couldn't get a seat because we had a stroller with us! Several large tables are reserved separately. Despite the empty tables, we were sent away. Services = 0

Very nice service. The 4 of us were there for several hours to eat and drink. Cocktails etc. were all very tasty, despite being busy (during the European Championships) you didn't have to wait long for food and dishes.

We went to Café Spitz for breakfast for the second time, as we liked it the last time. This time I unfortunately have to say that the food was far too little and the service simply ignored us. And we really didn't reorder much. I just think that if you're told that you can reorder as much as you want and then are ignored, that's not okay. And it wasn't lush or varied either. For example, there was no ham at all, the small sausages were counted, etc. So if so, it was better to have it a la carte. However, we won't be coming back. A pity!

Good, reasonably priced breakfast opposite the townhouse. It is very positive that a hot drink is included in each breakfast. The selection of sausages/cheese at the Italian breakfast is sufficient, there could be a bit more green salad, cucumber, tomatoes or similar, but I'm happy to pay more for that. Bread and rolls are solid. The service was lightning fast, attentive and friendly. Ambiance, pedestrian zone, you shouldn't be surprised if things get a little livelier around it. On the outside, the chairs are far too low to the table, even for taller people. This makes it a bit uncomfortable to eat. The men's toilets were very clean when we visited, Saturday at 11 a.m.

We were here for breakfast on a Saturday. The cafe was busy, but there are plenty of seats inside and outside. The staff was attentive. I can recommend the Vital breakfast with muesli, yoghurt and fruit. Delicious!! 😋

There were two of us, sitting in the restaurant. The staff was very friendly. The food came quickly and was very tasty! (Lasagne and Bruscetta) The drinks were quickly brought to the table. Always my pleasure!!!

Authentic Neapolitan pizza that is unrivaled in Bonn!

The breakfast is really nicely prepared and tastes and is fresh, unfortunately the service is very slow, especially at a brunch where it is advertised that you can keep ordering at the table, but the waitress only comes by every half hour, It's a bit thin after all. There really wasn't much going on, especially at the beginning. But I can recommend breakfast, if you're in a larger group it's certainly not that bad if you have to wait longer.

I had dinner at Spitz with my husband today. I had Schnitzel Sumatra with pepper sauce. Plus a rhubarb juice spritzer. There was little juice in the spritzer, and the pepper sauce tasted like something from a package. Also, I only counted 6 peppercorns. The fries were very tasty and the schnitzel was also good. My husband had spaghetti Bolognese which he really enjoyed. There was also a shandy which tasted very beer-like. I forgot the mayonnaise with my fries. However, we received a delicious dessert as compensation. This is called service.

Rarely have I experienced such great service... friendly, courteous service... good breakfast, good value for money. It won't be the last time🌞😊

Convenient location between Friedensplatz Bonn and the town hall/transition to the old town. Good seating outside and inside, always well attended. We had coffee and cake and breaded schnitzel with fries and sauce. Convenience. Nothing self-made. Waiters friendly.

It's been a nice cafe for decades. Nice and quick service, ordered a waffle with churches and cream. Unfortunately, vanilla ice cream arrives even though I didn't order it. There are worse things, but it was also delicious, of course without the ice cream. I have many reasons to come here again.

A very nice place, especially if you want to come from breakfast. We had the rustic breakfast which was delicious. Their pizza and pasta were also good. The Bruschetta was decent, and the cocktails were quite good. Would definitely recommend.

Delicious cake and a large selection of all kinds of food and drinks. When it comes to coffee drinks, I expect more these days: the portafilter machine is operated amateurishly because espresso tastes burnt and the milk foam is as solid as building foam.

Had delicious food (pasta with salmon in a tomato cream sauce), portion could have been a little larger. Then another portion of nachos with cheese gratin and crunchy salsa. Friendly service. Unfortunately it was a bit drafty because the doors to the outside area were open. When the tables were full, the noise level was so loud that even the waitress at the table could hardly understand the orders. Otherwise everything is fine.

Food portions were tiny, didn’t taste like anything special, prices ok, the service people was stressed and you could totally tell. They removed the cookie I had with the tee and I was about to eat and told me “oh too late” and it was not replaced, I was shocked with the attitude from the staff. The bathroom is minimum for the amount of people they have, it looked dirty and it didn’t had toilet paper. I don’t recommend and I’m not coming back, I wonder how did they manage to get such a good score, that’s why we choose it in the first place.

I rarely give bad reviews, but after we weren't served for the second time despite patiently waiting on our part, I'll leave feedback. Then there really has to be less seating if the service staff at the back and front can't handle it.

Unfortunately, after 6 years, I received an unpleasant email from a law firm on behalf of the café that aimed to delete my review. My visit is documented with the picture. So I had to rewrite the entire review. First of all: we will not be coming back and will certainly not recommend it to others after this campaign. ---------------------- We decided to have brunch at Café Spitz because of the positive Google reviews and the convenient transport connections. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to our expectations. Contrary to expectations, there was no buffet that day where you could help yourself to whatever you wanted. Instead we received a plate with three different types of meat, a portion of cheese, yoghurt with fruit (which we found to be overly watery and the fruit dried out) and two tomato mozzarella. There was also Nutella (although not the “originals” from Ferrero), jam and butter in individual portions. The staff were friendly and clearly tried hard, but didn't seem to be able to keep up with the service. Maybe it was because every single order had to be placed separately, even for little things like an extra portion of butter. The waitress was also unable to adequately inform us about the menu and ordering options. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not meet our expectations. The fried egg I ordered was undercooked and the rolls were already hard. Personally, we found the tomato and mozzarella combination to be a bit unusual.
