Wouldn't eat here after seeing how workers are exploited and wages aren't paid despite tons of overtime. The working conditions are not clear at all.

Unfortunately, on our second visit we had to revise the experience from our first visit (top recommendation)! There were 6 adults + 2 children! Bad service! There was no price/performance ratio! Long wait for the main course! We were there for the last time! 😤😬

Very disappointing!!! The service was very bad, no attentive waiters! - don't see when the glasses are empty - bring the wrong food - don't listen - we waited half an hour for a bottle of wine - the food wasn't cleared away, so flies were already collecting on it - upon request, no staff on site who could promise anything, due to personal complaints on site We waited over an hour from the starter to the main course, the fries were soggy, the grilled vegetables were swimming in fat and the fillet was inedible, see picture. The fat ran down the fork on the double cheeseburger Unfortunately only Pepsi, not original CocaCola. We ate/drank for over €400 and it was a disaster. Shame about the money! We won't be coming back again.

Very unfriendly Staff. I asked them if they could fill up my waterbottle with tapwater, I told them I can pay € in cash. But they just wouldn’t do it. The person said we have to wait for the manager and ask him?? What is there to ask, it’s just a simple transaction. Take money give water. But no. They just didn’t want me there. Maybe it’s because I was sweating ? Seems like a stuck up place. Won’t go there ever again!

The restaurant is really nice and nicely located. The service staff is really very competent and very friendly. I had the Cesar salad and almost starved because it was the size of a side salad for 20 euros. I found that really cheeky. My friend also almost had tears in his eyes when his toddler portion was brought out. So in my opinion the price-performance ratio is very inadequate, I won't go there again

Such a fancy-looking restaurant and then not paying the employees fairly... Unpaid overtime and not paying out wages in full is really not possible! Given the prices, you would expect that the staff would at least be paid fairly.

Wanted to eat here, nice place in itself. But then we were informed by an information stand from the FAU union that employees were not being paid in full for the work they had done! Mega disrespectful! Then we didn't feel like it anymore and went somewhere else.

It had been so delicious. The atmosphere and the service are simply great. We'll be back. Please keep it that way, there are only a few restaurants left that are this great and where everything is just right. Even the toilets are clean.

Best customer care variety of food stuffs which abit pricy l had a ceaser salad and it was good,the home made burgers also tested nice,the place was packed on a Saturday so l would encourage you to reserve.Aperol Spritz was expensive and yet they just serve half a glass of it that l found it unfair they need to work on that.the restaurant has an outside sitting where by you get to view the Rhine river.

My girlfriend and I were with you for the first time today and I don't know where to start: Parking, well, it's ok, I'll be itching to come to Bonn next time by train. Then we came into the restaurant right at the entrance and a very nice young girl welcomed us and led us to the square. When I arrived at the place, the boy took over. When I asked, he recommended a rosé to me, which I had to take four times because it was really delicious. Then we ordered our main course and I have to say wow, I love it when there is sage and you can taste it (note the pictures). Afterwards we ordered the Kaiserschmarn dessert, but modified it a bit (very tasty but unfortunately my girlfriend couldn't manage it, it was too much. So I had to go for it.) and ordered the cheesecake, which was also very tasty. So what I actually want to say is ; People go and check it out if you don't miss something.

Nice place with way too overpriced food. Salad didn't taste like anything and no bread was served with it. People used to eat much better here. Unfortunately no more recommendation!

Unfortunately, my experience with the Bahnhöfchen restaurant was very bad. I made the mistake of having my wedding reception organized there because I really liked the ambience and thought the food was pretty tasty. Up until the wedding, communication was great, I was promised everything I wanted, everything seemed to be fine. And then it was time for the celebration. We had the first problem right from the start - no parking space was reserved for our bride's car, which was agreed upon. The disappointment was immediately great; Finding a parking space took a long time. We booked a drinks package - each guest drinks as much as they want - unfortunately you had to wait 30-60 minutes for a glass of wine or water. This is simply unacceptable and, to be honest, a scam. Paying according to consumption would definitely have cost less at that rate. The organization was extremely poor; the staff was obviously not sufficient; pure disaster. The bride and groom's table should be served first and in a good restaurant AT THE SAME TIME - that wasn't the case either. It was pure chaos. Unfortunately, there were also serious delays when it came to food. Some guests only received anything after 3 hours. My maid of honor got a cold dish; a friend got nothing at all until the end; Is this really normal, especially at a WEDDING PARTY?? The cake was scheduled for 8 p.m. (desserts before that...) - of course it didn't work either. There was over an hour delay and desserts also had to be pushed back until after the cake, which I also found unacceptable. Our photographer was booked until 8:30 p.m. - she also had to stay longer than agreed, which also cost money. Conclusion: NOTHING went according to plan, we all had to wait an incredibly long time for drinks and dishes; we didn't feel well looked after at all. Overall, our concerns were downplayed very harshly by the restaurant. We were only offered 10% compensation as compensation, which was described to us as very “generous” on the part of the restaurant, which is of course far too little given the gross failure to fulfill the service contract. In the end, we only accepted this because we don't want to associate the best day of our lives with a lawsuit. I do NOT recommend this restaurant to ANYONE.

Es mag ja sehr nett aussehen, aber mir wurde erzählt, dass die Arbeitenden im Bahnhöfchen um ihren Lohn betrogen werden. Und auch darüber hinaus sollen die Arbeitsbedingungen katastrophal sein...Ich gehe nicht in solchen Betrieben essen!

Am Sonntag wollten wir hier brunchen, aber als wir am Infotisch der Gewerkschaft FAU Bonn vorbeikamen und uns über die Situation der Arbeitenden in Küche und Service in einem Gespräch informiert hatten, ist uns der Appetit gründlich vergangen! Im "Bahnhöfchen" werden regelmäßig Überstunden nicht bezahlt - das geht ja gar nicht!!! Was da sonst noch alles gründlich schief läuft, kann mensch sich ja denken... Sind dann lieber weitergegangen und haben uns zu Hause ein leckeres Brot geschmiert :)

Tolle Location direkt am Rhein, nettes Servicepersonal. Der Vorspeisenteller für 2 Personen zum Preis von 42 EUR ( in Worten zweiundvierzig!!!!) war jedoch vollkommen langweilig, ein Stück Ziegenkäse, zwei kleine Fertigfallaffel, neutraler Humus, ein Paar Stücke gebratener Pulpo (dies war noch das Beste), Salat ( sauer) und Gemüse mit wenig Geschmack waren das Geld nicht wert. Der Grauburgunder und der Espresso waren in Ordnung. Sicherlich ist man bereit, für die coole Location etwas mehr zu zahlen, das Essen sollte jedoch überzeugen. Dies war hier leider nicht der Fall.

The train station in Beuel is a beautiful symbiosis of old and new: old half-timbered buildings with chic and modern furnishings. And of course the wonderful view of the Rhine and the city of Bonn. We have enjoyed coming here for many years. Today Aylin in particular gave us a particularly nice evening with her very professional service and her friendly and cheerful manner. THANKS!

Unfortunately, the Sunday breakfast was a bit disappointing overall. - very long waiting time despite reservation and only “table buffet” selection - the quality of the food, e.g. hummus, avocado cream, was not particularly good - Scrambled eggs and fried eggs in a very small portion - At 19 euros per person you don't expect baked rolls of the lowest quality - all repeat orders must be paid extra

I wanted to eat here today but I noticed a protest stand by a union in front of the door who are accusing the train station of not paying trainees their overtime and also partially missing their salaries. In 2024, this kind of behavior towards young people who want to do training and have little money anyway is simply not acceptable. I then refrained from visiting and will not come back.

Have been here a few times. The service and the waitresses are great and very friendly. Dogs are welcome and also receive a bowl of water. The food is excellent, so far we haven't had anything that didn't taste great. Always happy to come back!

We had an incredibly nice evening at the train station! As is often the case, the evening depends on the waiter. At this point I have to say a lot of praise to Mo, who made the evening unforgettable for us! I'll come back for him anytime :)

The Gnocci dish was very good, but only about 10 Gnocci for 20 EUR. The halloumi bowl was made with high-quality ingredients, but overall was a bit bland. There is draft beer (helles). Service was friendly. Beautiful location on the Rhine. Outrageous: The hot sauce: ("Chimmichurry Sauce"), a bit of oil with chili, was charged at 4 (!!!) EUR and the high price was NOT mentioned beforehand. You feel like you're being taken for a ride, so unfortunately it's not really an emo mistake overall. We're going somewhere else soon.

bis jetzt war ich immer sehr zufrieden ,netter service ,gutes Essen, aber gestern kann nur eins sagen enttäuschend , eine stunde warte zeit , es kam kein Kalbsschnitzel , Hühnerschnitzel ,auf karte stand kalb , ..anstatt ceasar salad , normaler , Hamburger war ein Witz , vielleicht 3 mm dick , wenn sie Probleme haben im Sommer mit Ansturm der gaste , dann Einlass stopp !!!!

Delicious breakfast with “at the table buffet”. The food is delicious, unfortunately the portions are very large, so far too much ends up in the trash. Maybe just order something less than standard and reorder if you're really hungry? The atmosphere is very special - a great location. The service was friendly and largely attentive.

The atmosphere is very nice and you sit in close proximity to the Rhine. Unfortunately, too much emphasis is placed on external appearance and lifestyle. It would be better to put your motivation into the quality of the cuisine. The price/performance ratio is not right here. Prices too high with portions too small. In terms of taste, there is still room for improvement for the prices. The Persol is obviously unskilled and very unstructured to use. Wrong drinks and food are brought. The staff is very open and friendly to serve.

Great food, not cheap but very tasty. The service at reception is great, but afterwards I would like a little more attention. The ambience is brilliant, very, very nice.

We each had a cheeseburger at the train station. The taste of the food was okay. The service was also good. But the burger patty was a disgrace. So small that you had to look for it with a magnifying glass. The photo shows the burger just opened. Unfortunately I didn't get full at all, very disappointed at 65 euros in total. Never again.

Nice restaurant, right on the Rhine. Starter ok, then waited almost 2 hours for the main course. Everything was lukewarm, something was missing for everyone, and the food was just bad: meat dry, salad soggy, even the sparkling water was stale. We no longer dared to have coffee or dessert. Of course we discussed it, but no one was interested.

Worst restaurant experience of my life. It's actually a nice location, but the store is simply overwhelmed by the high number of visitors. We arrived at 7:30 p.m. and ordered relatively quickly. We then waited 1.5 hours for the food. But no food came, just a waitress who recommended that we cancel our order because the kitchen was overwhelmed. We then wanted to pay for the drinks and leave. That took another half hour because the staff forgot to bill us twice. There wasn't even a small drink on the house to compensate for this gigantic failure. It's actually a really nice location, but unfortunately the operators turn it into the largest juice shop I've ever experienced in Bonn.

Red flag if this is the reaction to factual criticism. Original review: It's a shame - I used the location as a business lunch. The view and ambience are great, that's what you're mainly paying for. The food is good but also expensive compared to the quality. Example: My avocado halloumi bowl had exactly 3 thin slices of avocado. Service was nice, but not very attentive: a meal was forgotten and only served when asked. According to the waitress, they wanted to waive a drink for us. But that wasn't the case on the bill. With a total bill of 130 euros, it's a shame. I will choose a different location for business lunches in the future.

I have always enjoyed going to the train station and have recommended it to others many times. But if, after a 3-hour stay, you are stopped on the way to the toilet in a very condescending manner and asked what you are looking for here and you are not a guest, it really ruins your mood and makes you feel very unwelcome . I can understand that you don't want to be seen as a public toilet, but you can communicate that differently. An apology would also have been nice. So the only conclusion for me is that I will avoid the train station in the future. A pity.

Yesterday we went to the train station without a reservation, but we were lucky because a table just became available. The food was really delicious. We ordered chanterelles according to the season. What we also noticed was that you are really treated as a guest here. The employees were all very friendly, accommodating and didn't seem stressed. It was a thoroughly relaxing, beautiful evening and definitely not the last one at the station. Of course I can't forget the view, it's great :).

Although the restaurant was busy, I have to say the service was very good. The pasta was a bit lacking in salt but otherwise great! We don't need to say anything about the location, it's just TOP!

Very nice service staff! The breakfast buffet is fantastic and food a la carte is very tasty and high quality! The food is quite expensive, you should expect 20 - 23 euros per dish. But you won't be disappointed with the food!

Stopped spontaneously for breakfast on Sunday, and around 10 a.m. there were still more than enough places available in the outdoor area. The greeting at the entrance was very nice and friendly, but already with the note that only the table buffet breakfast was served. Nothing else on the menu... ok, let's take it... Service at the table was a long time coming, only after we asked a waitress twice if we could order something did someone come. In general the staff seemed rather tired and listless. Attention to zero. After placing the order, things went pretty quickly - the platters were already prepared, the sausage and cheese were no longer cold or cool. So be prepared for masses. Small changes not possible. In terms of the quantity that was served, it was sufficient - although you have to like oriental breakfast (hummus, falafel, etc.) ... but ok, for 2 people a small pack of jam and Nutella, 2 pieces of small butter, we thought that wasn't much. A 2. We couldn't order a cup of coffee more quietly because no one came to the table. We were allowed to pay 44 euros for breakfast and 2 small coffees. (A little exaggeration) but the view is great...

We were there in bright sunshine, which on the one hand is great, with the view of the Rhine and the outside terrace, but in direct sunshine it was rather too hot. After 8 p.m. it's bearable and you can enjoy it. The food was great and the service was very friendly. We would like to come again.

Sehr schönes Lokal, wunderbar gelegen nach einem Spaziergang am Rhein, nettes Personal. Aber leider hat uns das Essen sehr enttäuscht! Mein Partner hatte die Avocado Halloumi Bowl, leider nur mit 2 Fertigfood Falafel und in einem Teller,der mehrere "Kitschen" hatte - passt nicht ganz zum Stil des Lokals aber da sind wir vielleicht zu empfindlich. Doch mein Essen war schlicht und ergreifend eine Frechheit! Fusilloni al farro avocado bedeutet eine Handvoll Dinkel Nudeln mit 10 Blättern Spinat, 5 g Avocado und etwas Zucchini mit 2 Kirschtomaten für 19 Euro! Knaller! Aber ok, wenn es wenigstens schmeckt... leider gibt es hier absolut gar nichts zu schmecken - total geschmacksneutral. Der herbeigerufene Salz/Pfefferstreuer, an dem die Pfeffermühle auch nicht funktionierte, brachte auch keine Rettung. Laut Kellnerin, war ihr dies schon einmal zugetragen worden... Die Chefin würde bestimmt einen Nachtisch als Entschädigung zubilligen... Ja, nein, ich wollte einfach etwas Nettes zum Abendessen haben, Danke. Leider ließ sich die Chefin auch nicht sehen oder hat mal nachgefragt und uns war jetzt nicht nach Aufstand aber das war das letzte Mal für uns in diesem Laden.

We made reservations for the evening as a larger group. The space was very cramped. The food varies in quality. The people who had pasta dishes were consistently disappointed with the taste. The beautiful location on the Rhine is taken into account in the prices.

They can't even manage an apple spritzer. Really bad. The food doesn't taste good at all and is also completely overpriced. The service is also subpar. Totally disappointing. They seem to think that the location is everything...unfortunately that's not the case...

During yesterday's visit, we all (9 people) ordered appetizers to share. Our chosen starter was described on the menu as “only for or two or more people”. We still requested and ordered the order for one person. The service didn't tell us that this starter couldn't be shared - but instead charged us the cost for two people = €42.00(!!). There were 2 shrimps, 2 small grilled tubes, 2 dry falafel, 2 slices of Serrano ham, a tasteless goat cheese, hummus, some grilled vegetables and salad. For us a completely disproportionate price-performance ratio. At best half the price would have been fine. And we actually only wanted half the portion... When talking to the manager, he only insisted on the text in his menu, didn't listen and didn't acknowledge the mistake of his (usually very nice, attentive) service person. He was inflexible, undiplomatic and did not seek compromise. Since he was getting louder and louder, we left the restaurant with the certainty that we wouldn't be coming back here. The restaurant has a nice location and view, the staff tried hard and our friends' dishes were ok. It's a shame about this experience.

The service is TOP! Always smiling and accommodating, very pleasantly surprised! My veal schnitzel with chanterelles in cream sauce, which I felt was just cream with flavor and too runny. The price and quality didn't match because the veal schnitzel had meat that was too dark, in my opinion it was young beef. The breading not crispy and soaked in oil. For the price I would have expected it to be pan fried and not deep fryer. Our friend had a steak, which came in pieces and a side dish of peas, which he had to laboriously pull out because they weren't too woody as a whole. But it wasn't all bad. The burgers were TOP and the punch is recommended.

Resurrection of an institution The train station is one of Bonn's traditional addresses on the Rhine. The change of tenant has noticeably benefited the restaurant. The ambience has become more modern and fresh. The menu has increased significantly, but so have the prices. The food is of a very nice standard and represents modern cuisine, suitable for the great location on the Rhine. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent one: attentive, friendly, precise and fast. No wonder that the new station is so popular and usually well attended. Definitely worth a visit and highly recommended

Hospitality is very important in this restaurant! We were immediately impressed by the quality and freshness of the dishes.

A very nice atmosphere in the former train station. As we knew, there was only food from the daily menu. But it was excellent and worth the price. There were also desserts from the large menu at lunchtime. Just as good and inexpensive. The staff is quick and friendly. All in all a recommendation. We would love to come back and try out the large menu.

We were invited to brunch on business. The dishes selected by the host were good, but the preparation and delivery were mediocre. At 10 a.m., the warm food was already in its warming containers alongside the breakfast offerings. You can probably imagine what they looked and tasted like around midday. None of the eight people at our table liked the included coffee and it was at most lukewarm. The cappuccino we ordered was a little better, but didn't meet our expectations. There were baked rolls - an absolute no-go. With the salmon you couldn't choose between horseradish or another 'dip'. It just didn't exist. The fruit seemed to have either been cut ages ago or was out of a can. The peaches certainly were. The location is of course great. The view is perfect. This is how a Saturday can begin. If you visit the station as a 'normal' guest and choose from the menu, the food might be better. The food served around us looked good.

We were there with two people for the European Championship round of 16 (Germany against Denmark). The service was great despite the full house. The conditions were always friendly and you had the feeling that they enjoyed working there. The food was OK for the price it could have been a little better. We had a good view of the game and the atmosphere in general was great. We ate schnitzel, pasta, an appetizer and a few beers. Gladly again !

Were here as part of a company event. Location is top, view over the Rhine to the Beethovenhalle is top. I'm conflicted about food. On the one hand, the starters and desserts were very tasty. However, the meat (poultry fillet and pork fillet) was extremely dry and too “done”. You can do it 👍

Wir sind regelmäßig im Bahnhöfchen und immer wieder happy! Nettes Personal, top Service und sehr leckeres Essen. 🩷 Man fühlt sich zuhause, immer wieder gerne. :-)
