Café & Restaurant Nüsslein in Erfurt

Nice cafe, but a bit dingy. 25-minute wait for our order even though it wasn't full. The male server wasn't very motivated. The cappuccino was unfortunately only lukewarm. The cake was good.

It's always lovely there. I was there in the afternoon and the coffee and cake were very good.

We enjoyed a few drinks in the evening, very pleasant and cozy under the archway. The next morning, breakfast had many variations, was very tasty, and served in a super relaxed atmosphere.

A spontaneous coffee gathering with eight guests, which the service there handled masterfully. The conversation with the waitress was wonderful; we laughed a lot. The coffee variations were explained, and anything we didn't know was quickly clarified with her colleagues. The café had a great atmosphere. Highly recommended and perfect for a repeat visit. One star deducted for the crumb topping on the crumb cake being too hard. The orange punch was delicious. The nut treat is a real treat.

We spontaneously stopped here for coffee today while strolling through the city, and tables were arranged for our group of eight without any fuss. The charming and witty waitress was very efficient and made our visit very enjoyable. We sampled our way through the coffee specialties, and the homemade cake was divine. Highly recommended! 👍 We'll definitely stop by again on our next visit to Erfurt.

We ate here on a whim. The menu is small but well-chosen. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the portion sizes. Plus, the location is fantastic. The food was good.

The price-performance ratio is absolutely terrible; for €20, I got a plate that I devoured in 10 minutes. It came with two cheap, cold, pre-baked rolls. The portion was far too small. On top of that, we waited almost 40 minutes for our food – completely unacceptable.

It's simply cozy here, and the food is fantastic. Not your typical see-and-be-seen experience. The staff is super nice, but sometimes they need something, and the attention isn't always the quickest. I don't mean any harm. I really enjoy Nüsslein and can highly recommend it :)

We visited the cafe on the first weekend of October and thoroughly enjoyed it: the coffee, the food, and the atmosphere were simply fantastic. Frieda served us and impressed us with her friendly and very warm manner!

It was truly amazing! We came to Thuringia because of the song "Thuringian Dumplings" and then ate authentic Thuringian dumplings for the first time at Nüsschen. We were almost moved to tears! I'll never forget the moment I tasted this amazing dumpling! The waiter, Steffan, was also really sweet and friendly and made the evening even better than it already was. Highly recommended!

The Nüsslein is located at the beginning of the Merchants' Bridge and has a large outdoor area with a lovely ambiance in the Old Town. Due to its location, it's very busy, and the wait times were accordingly long. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We had the cheese breakfast and the French breakfast. All in all: I was satisfied and will be back.

I highly recommend the vegetarian tarte flambée; we sat outside. It was simply a lovely ambiance. We were particularly impressed by the authentic, super friendly, and exceedingly polite service. You could tell they enjoyed their job.

Everything was great, we'd love to come back! The service is friendly and happy to help with special requests. I would give it 10 stars if possible.

Beautiful restaurant with a large outdoor seating area. It's great that there are still restaurants serving classic cuisine. The menu is short and sweet. Unfortunately, the friendly waiter is always on the go, so you'll need patience and time.

The ambiance and location are truly wonderful, and you immediately feel at home. The service was also extremely friendly and attentive. I had the "Lotte" breakfast with a selection of sausages and cheeses from Italy and France, jam, a boiled organic egg, freshly squeezed orange juice, butter, two rolls, and a pot of coffee. Everything was very lovingly prepared. The presentation and ingredients seemed high-quality and appealing. Unfortunately, this otherwise harmonious breakfast only included two dry and flavorless rolls, which reminded me very much of industrial goods. Rolls, in particular, are a central part of this breakfast. With fresh rolls—perhaps even from a local bakery—the visit would have been perfect. Otherwise, the Café & Restaurant Nüsslein is one of the good addresses in Erfurt.

We were here for breakfast for the first time today. We had the "Amore" for two, which was beautifully presented with Italian sausage and cheese, lots of fruit, all fresh. Delicious rolls and croissants. It was plentiful and delicious. The price-performance ratio is okay. We were lucky, but I think it's better to pre-order on weekends. A note to the restaurant: put "Reserved" signs on the tables; that makes things easier for customers and your staff (just an observation). We'll be back.

Hair in the food, burnt chicken (it's inevitable because of the salmonella). Not recommended at all.

Good breakfast, not 100% perfect but could be improved

The burger wasn't really great. Some things might be better left untouched. The "grain burger buns" are really unnecessary. Apart from that, we had very long waits and the service was lacking. The prices are ultimately too high for that.

We just had a glass of wine and a beer. Nice to sit outside and watch street lige.

The Café & Restaurant Nüsslein is a small oasis brimming with charm, right on the Krämerbrücke bridge. From the moment you enter, you sense the attention to detail – stylish, cozy, and welcoming at the same time. The menu is creative without being pretentious and offers something for every taste. In conclusion: Anyone visiting Erfurt shouldn't miss a visit to Nüsslein. Everything is just right here – atmosphere, quality, and hospitality.

Service could be improved. I ordered hot chocolate with whipped cream, but it came without. It's probably busy on the weekend, and the service was a bit overwhelmed. It's a shame, considering the location is quaint.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to have a great experience at this beautiful café. We sat for 15 minutes without anyone even asking us what we wanted to drink! Four women walked past us, arguing over who would serve which table. Too bad we couldn't enjoy the food. We left.

The Nüßlein is a quaint Thuringian restaurant. Lovingly decorated, it offers a selection of Thuringian specialties, a selection of burgers and tarte flambée, as well as delicious cakes and gateaux. The food still has room for improvement. Even without ordering, we were given plenty of space, and a table was set without any hassle.

Typical Thuringian restaurant with regional cuisine. Had a Thuringian bratwurst here with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. Plus a nice Benedictine beer. The menu is really great and offers pretty much everything that is considered a specialty in Thuringia. And the coffee and cake are really excellent too. Friendly hospitality and really good value for money are right here. In the evening you should make a reservation.

The food tastes really delicious, the location is quite pleasant, especially when the sun is shining, and the service is great. Everything is fine, except the prices unfortunately. For a small bowl of oats, €8 is very steep. A lot of things are very overpriced. So it's an option more for people with money.

The restaurant is beautifully located in the center of Erfurt. Four of us ate there. Unfortunately we had very long waiting times. We had to wait about half an hour for our drinks and then almost the same time for our food to arrive. It also took half an hour before we could place our order. If we had been informed of this beforehand, this would not have been a problem. But it wasn't the waitress's fault, but apparently the organization's fault, as the lady was solely responsible for the indoor and outdoor areas. The food was ok, unfortunately a bit cold.

We had a very tasty breakfast here with an exquisite selection of cheeses and sausages in a great ambience in the Bohlenstube on the upper floor. The service was very accommodating.

We were there as a family for breakfast on Easter Monday. What can I say, everything was just right here. From the food to the coffee to the service. Absolutely recommended. All topped off with the beautiful Erfurt old town. Perfectly happy!

Good food in a very nice location.

We came here several times to try out the delicious cakes and the large selection of coffee specialties. Today we decided on a feast. Our waitress Tran was cheerful, friendly and very competent. She immediately asked how she could help us while we were eating and asked several times if everything was okay. Not only were the dishes prepared relatively quickly, but they tasted great. I can highly recommend the in-house burger, chicken burger and the salmon tarte flambée.

2 meals were very good, one was ok, one wasn't quite warm. The ambience is wonderful!

Food was ok, beef roulade a bit dry. Waiting times are endless, service is completely overwhelmed. Numerous guests came to the buffet because their food didn't come or they wanted to pay. No excuse for the delay, you don't feel like you're being taken seriously as a guest.

We saw it outside in the March sunshine on a busy Saturday afternoon. Food and ambience top. Unfortunately the staff was very overwhelmed. Nice and friendly but there was a confusion among the colleagues because everyone came to the tables, no overview of the guests and the order. Maybe the waiters should share the tables with each other then everything would be more relaxed, but I don't blame the temporary waiters; the trained staff should mention that when they are trained. Maybe think about it and change it.

This is an oasis for all the senses. I can highly recommend it.

We booked a table for 10 people on Boxing Day at 12:30 p.m. for a family lunch. no food received until 2 p.m. NOT recommended. Had to leave location hungry.

Very tasty food (Brussels sprout quiche, solyanka, steak with fried potatoes and fried apple and onion). We went there for breakfast the next day without further ado. This is also very tasty and rich. Worth every penny. Gladly again !

What a culinary delight my husband and I were able to experience. You can really say it's an explosion of taste. We chose the restaurant well for our wedding anniversary. Just try it out, but pre-ordering would be really important. This way you will really have the success you want.

The cake and the drinks were very good, but unfortunately we sat between randomly placed wine bottles and seemed to have to accept the natural style of the rooms (unfortunately also really dusty and dirty). I wish you a healthy New Year in advance, but I was not at all satisfied with the meal on December 28th, 2024. We had breakfast with 7 people. Everyone ordered ala cart. The farmer's breakfast was cold, even the cast-iron pan, then lots of salad with oil on the individual plates and the rolls, which were no longer crispy, on top. Then parts of the order were not brought and when we asked for the rest, such as a poached egg, a burnt fried egg came, which was also noted on the receipt. We were very disappointed. As a note from me, serve the amount of salad filling extra so that you still have some of the sausage and rolls. If he orders a warm meal, then it should be warm. Cold potatoes don't taste good. If something is forgotten, do not charge extra for the order later.

Essen kalt, zuviel Füllmenge Salat mit Öl unter 2 ölgetränkten Brötchen und 4 Scheiben Käse /Salami. Teile der Bestellung auf dem Teller vergessen, die beim Aufbruch auch noch verkehrt kamen. Diese wurden sogar extra berechnet. Warmes Essen kam kalt. Bei den stolzen Preis von 180 Euro bei 7 Personen, ist das Essen sehr mangelhaft. Nur Kaffee trinken ist ok
