We celebrated our son's confirmation at Strandgut 33. The staff, from the kitchen to the waitress, were very kind, thoughtful, and attentive. The food was also excellent. They provided us with a great deal of support with the table design and the celebration itself. With this ambiance and the friendly team, it was an unforgettable experience for our guests, who were all thrilled, as well as for us and our son. THANK YOU to the team at Strandgut 33.

Spontaneously had lunch at Strandgut 33 on a Sunday afternoon in October. The ambiance, service, and food were absolutely fantastic 🥰

A beautifully located restaurant. The terrace is very lovingly decorated. The waiters gave us a very warm welcome with our dog. They quickly found us a nice spot, even though we arrived at short notice without a reservation and it was very busy. The food was delicious and very filling. (You must try the burger.) The young lady who served us was very nice and friendly. So we give it 5 stars. We had a fantastic time and would love to come back.

Very unfortunate and unfriendly 😕 Tried to reserve a table via email. A prompt response was received. "We're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays... Okay, I immediately asked if there was a table available for Wednesday evening... AND I received NO response. Apparently, they don't rely on guests here. No one could be reached even on the phone number provided. Customer service NOT recommended!!!!

Unfortunately, since the change of ownership, I'm no longer recommendable. The prices are significantly too high compared to the price. Of course, everything has become more expensive everywhere, I'm aware of that – but here the value for money is simply no longer there. It's a shame, because the location and the view are truly beautiful, but that seems to be exactly what's being exploited.

When we visited Strandgut 33 yesterday (September 7), we sat at a wonderful table right on the waterfront. The restaurant's ambiance was simply like being on vacation. The food was also very good; we had the roulade with dumplings and the schnitzel Italia. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating, and she was also quick-witted and didn't let the large group of guests who were looking for faults (without success) put her off. There will always be guests like that, so don't let them get you down. We wish the Strandgut team strength and composure to cope well with such guests. You're doing a great job, stay the way you are. We only stopped in for a quick beer. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly. One negative thing we noticed was one of the employees' dirty T-shirts.

With Strandgut 33, the lake has truly taken on a new flair. Whether summer or winter, the view from the lakeside terrace is fantastic. Here you can enjoy a leisurely coffee, end the day at sunset, or sip cocktails in the evening. With Strandgut 33, there's one more reason to keep coming back to Stotternheim. The schnitzel with spiced meat is also highly recommended. Reservations are essential.

The young women who now work here in the service department are truly fantastic. Super friendly and attentive. I think that's very important. I had to give this compliment. The food has improved significantly in quality since the change of ownership. I'm not crying over the burgers. Instead, there are more healthy and fresh options here!

The prices are pretty steep considering that most of the dishes aren't made with fresh ingredients. A plate of pasta with canned mushrooms, for example, cost just under €20. The seasoned meat, based on its taste and appearance, also seemed to be canned. A few more designated vegetarian or vegan dishes would be nice. An alternative to the pork schnitzel (e.g., chicken) could also be considered. On the other hand, the portions of fries were quite generous and, at €4, affordable. The waitress was really nice, prompt, and attentive to the guests. They even made an effort to bring the drinks and dishes to the table at the same time so everyone could eat together.

Unfortunately, the advice wasn't good enough. We just wanted to know approximately where we were sitting, but there was no communication about it. After asking again, the waiter simply hung up. The man on the phone was very rude and completely annoyed. It's a shame because this was always a good place to eat, but since the takeover, things haven't been going so well.

A definite recommendation! The food, ambiance, and service were excellent. I had the Schnitzel Italia and will definitely be back.

Always happy to come back. Even spontaneous bookings are possible if there are only 3-4 people. I always call ahead. So far, it's always been possible. Ground-level access, except for the restrooms. Parking is available directly in front on the street or a few meters further on at the campsite.

After the change of management, unfortunately, I no longer recommend it! The service was great as always! The ambiance is still fantastic, too! Beer or a nice cocktail with a view of the lake at sunset are still fantastic! Unfortunately, the new owner seems to be resting on that. The only thing about the food that was above average is the price. Schnitzel was frozen from a bag, and the fries were carelessly thawed – this certainly won't last long. I miss the little regional treats – beer from the city, meat from the hunter around the corner, genuine craftsmanship in the kitchen, and above all, love in what they do. Sustainable business isn't being run this way. What a shame! Strandgut 33 was actually a little local gem for me. Unfortunately, I definitely no longer recommend it! 😕

The food is super delicious, the price is the same as with other providers, only in the evenings from 3 p.m. If possible, you can learn to swim with a kayak or a boat. It's ideal for nature lovers.

We visited the restaurant relatively spontaneously on a Sunday around 6 p.m., but called about an hour in advance to reserve a table. Although it was quite windy, we were able to sit outside without being blown away, thanks to the glass front. The view during our visit was beautiful; we had a direct view of the lake. The food was also visually appealing, and the price-performance ratio was decent.

A pleasant spot with a great view of Lake Alperstedt. Upon arrival, the question about whether we had a reservation suggested that it would probably be better to make a reservation in sunny weather. Due to the weather (rainy) and the time (around 11 a.m.), the location may not have been very busy yet. The friendly and attentive staff served us a delicious tarte flambée. We felt very comfortable at Strandgut 33!

A lovely destination for a bike ride, unfortunately on a downward trend. The owner has changed, and with him the menu. Last year, they served super-delicious burgers. Now the menu is uninspired; the most exciting thing is the prices for schnitzel or pasta. There's still plenty of room for improvement in terms of taste. We'll look for other restaurants in the future. It's a shame.

After a 4hours bicycle ride I stopped by and asked for drink. Unfortunately they told me I can’t have a drink there, all tables are reserved. The time I have been there nearly all tables are empty and they didn’t serve me any drink, even for takeout.

The seating is very pleasant with a view of the lake. The tarte flambée was very tasty, but the schnitzel with spiced meat could have been improved a bit (the spiced meat tasted too much like flour). Friendly staff. Parking is available on the street.

We loved coming to Strandgut and often, but unfortunately, our last visit was also our last. Unfortunately, the staff was also very impatient and pushy. The new menu doesn't match the ambiance at all. This is good—or rather bad—home-style food that you'd find in any German restaurant. Very unimaginative!!! We've been regular customers for the past few years, but now the most you can come for is a drink. A real shame. Please revise the menu so the food matches this fantastic ambiance again!!!

Ownership has changed, and it's definitely no longer worth a visit. New menu, and prices are skyrocketing.

What we experienced today was an absolute "no-go." We were seated at a table that still had bird droppings on it. After about 10 minutes, the waitress came and brought us sparkling wine, saying, "First, a glass of champagne to start." We were slightly surprised, but very pleased to be greeted so warmly. A short time later, the waitress returned to our table and told us that the champagne wasn't for us, but for other guests. Since we had already finished our drinks, she said she would take responsibility and left. A minute later, another waitress came to our table and asked what had happened to the champagne. We explained to her that we had assumed it was a welcome glass and that we wouldn't pay for it. She then took our glasses, which everyone had already finished. All the guests sitting around us were completely stunned by this behavior. If Strandgut 33 isn't going to go downhill, certain things definitely need to be considered. We and other guests weren't given a menu; when we asked, we were given one that was smeared with coffee (there were four of us). Other guests had to move to another table while they were eating because the staff had made a mistake with the reservation. We left after this incident and will definitely not visit Strandgut 33 again.

Unfortunately, since it changed hands, it's no longer worth a visit. The delicious burgers with good fries have been completely discontinued and replaced with schnitzel with hunter's sauce and dumplings and roulades. Who wants to eat that by a lake in 30-degree heat?! It's completely out of place in this beautiful place. The quality of the food also leaves a lot to be desired. Pasta is simply covered in a very thick cream sauce, which makes you feel sick after eating it. Please return to the old menu and quality.

Highly recommended – we'd love to come back! I honestly don't fully understand some of the recent reviews – especially the criticism that they no longer serve burgers. Of course, that's a matter of taste, but the current menu, with dishes like roulades and fresh asparagus, is a welcome departure from the usual mass-produced fare you can find elsewhere. And it should also be said that you can eat burgers anywhere. There are enough restaurants in the city for that. The food here is clearly high-quality and freshly prepared – you can taste it! Unfortunately, many restaurants just reheat food, but here the food is cooked with quality and love. Whether it's the fresh schnitzel or the excellently prepared asparagus – you can immediately tell the difference. The sauce was also homemade and definitely not from a carton – a huge plus! The portions are generous, especially compared to some other restaurants. The value for money is absolutely spot on. A big compliment also to the service team: friendly, attentive, and welcoming – we felt completely at home. Thank you for your great work – we are already looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful spot by the lake. My meal, "schnitzel with spiced meat and croquettes," was probably from the freezer. I don't need to go to a restaurant for that. The beer was fresh and tasty. The service was quite nice.

We really liked the restaurant, but since a new owner took over the beach property we have been a bit disappointed. The menu has been changed so that there are no longer any burgers. Some other dishes were also deleted. Instead of these, there are now schnitzel and dumpling dishes.

To be honest, I'm really disappointed. We have heard and read a lot of good things. However, I cannot confirm this. I had specially reserved a table. 3 p.m. was agreed. When we arrived we were told that the reservation was for 9:30 a.m. Well, it can happen. We chose a table outside because it was very hot inside due to the high outside temperature. Unfortunately, the table was right next to the toilets and the air conditioning compressor for the kitchen. You could easily catch a glimpse of the lake with your head raised. Unfortunately there were no parasols or a sun sail here. The sun was burning like crazy. We were also informed at reception that it would not be possible to order food for the next hour. Only drinks or ice cream would be possible. We were really looking forward to the meal and of course we were hungry. But waiting an hour was not an option for us in the heat and blazing sun. So I only had a non-alcoholic cocktail and a small ice cream for my partner. The whole thing for just under 18€. The service was friendly. Totally frustrated, we looked for another place to eat. Too bad

We always enjoyed going to this location because, above all, the location is beautiful. That hasn't changed either. You simply have a fantastic view. An awning would be an advantage, as you can sit in the best places right by the water in the blazing sun, which can be very unbearable, especially in midsummer. What really disappointed us, however, is the new menu. We were really looking forward to the burgers and classics. Both divisions were completely eliminated. There are now schnitzel dishes, roulade and asparagus. The schnitzels themselves were tasty and of high quality, but the side dishes were extremely sparse (the salad consisted of a lettuce leaf and a spoonful of asparagus salad, there were five croquettes and no sauce or anything like that). Very disappointing for the high price. You also had to wait a relatively long time for drinks and food, even though it wasn't completely full. The service overall wasn't particularly good either. We are very sad because we won't be coming back, at least for dinner.

With this café, the lake has really gained a lot of flair. No matter whether summer or winter, the view from the lakeside terrace is great. We were here for lunch, the service was very polite and looked after us well, I ordered a burger and was pleasantly surprised, the burger was very tasty. As a side dish there were homemade fries which were really very tasty. There is also a nice atmosphere, all in all really recommended.

A very nice restaurant located right on the lake. Lots of seating with a lake view but please reserve when the weather is nice. Rarely have we eaten anything so delicious, everything was freshly prepared and we even baked the buns for the burgers ourselves. Service is a bit inattentive. Lots of people stand at the bar and chat. The cocktails are recommended. That's what I call a cocktail. Keep it up

We wanted to end our evening and drove here specifically. The ambience was wonderful as always. Luckily we had reservations. But aside from cocktails, I was still craving a Belgian waffle. And unfortunately I was very disappointed with it. Visually it looked like it was homemade, but at the first bite you could tell that it was just a warmed-up finished product. She was hard and cold very quickly. Instead of whipped cream, there was cheap spray cream that quickly collapsed. And 7.90 euros is simply too much for that. The cocktails were ok.

We were here with a larger group shortly before the kitchen closed without a reservation. After a short consultation with the kitchen, we were able to sit down and eat. We were there for breakfast with 6 people. Great ambience, very friendly service, the rolls were baked rolls from the discount stores, sausage and cheese were ok, but also simple quality, scrambled eggs with bacon were delicious, coffee costs extra so it costs over €20 per person. They're okay, but you definitely won't recommend the place because the food was so great. Service: This was the biggest point of criticism for our group. We were a group of about 15 people, 2 minutes after we were seated a gentleman from the service came who gave the impression of being the "boss" in the restaurant and wanted to take the drink requests, I told him that most people don't know what yet They want to drink because we are sharing 2 cards with 15 people at the moment and many of them haven't had a chance to look at the menu yet. He then put on a clearly noticeable annoyed expression on his face, but he didn't come up with the idea of ​​bringing us a few extra cards. He was generally quite unfriendly and seemed generally annoyed. Quite unprofessional behavior if you have chosen this job. After the visit, we were a little annoyed that we didn't just get up to leave the restaurant at the beginning. Conclusion: Unfortunately, it is all too common that when a restaurant has an attractive location, this leads to the restaurant owners not making the greatest effort because the guests come in large numbers anyway because of the location. The relationship between price and quality was not balanced and the boss's behavior was substandard.

As nice as the ambience is, unfortunately the food and drinks weren't. There was a rotten, dark lettuce leaf in the salad. The pasta only tasted like salty noodles - the little bit of sauce that was there was like a soup. The Caipirinha almost only tasted like sugar - we were really disappointed. As beautiful as it is there - we won't be coming back.

Yesterday - over 30 degrees - we unfortunately noticed that in a negative way There are no fans in the glass house. This was an imposition, you felt like you were in a greenhouse. As a remedy, we used the menu cards as compartments, but these were then taken away from us. Although there were plenty of other cards and I asked to keep them because of the heat. With the statement “Other guests would also like to order something”. That's true, but it was the part about advertising t-shirts that I think could have been left out. In addition, the drinks didn't cool down because they were lukewarm. The older lady who served us wasn't really polite or accommodating. Maybe this flotsam and jetsam should open in winter rather than summer. So that the employees don't seem so overwhelmed. At these prices, you might want to reconsider your concept. We have often noticed something negative, but yesterday was another lesson for us not to give your restaurant another chance.

We had reserved a table for Saturday, originally outside. Since it started to rain, we were called 20 minutes in advance to say that we didn't need to come anymore (of course we were already in the car and on the way), because they didn't have a table available for us inside. Since it was a bachelor party and we also had tickets for an event taking place at Lake Alperstedter, we were standing there, in the rain, without a restaurant, just before the reservation. I've never experienced anything like that before and it was definitely the first and last reservation there. You should take an example from other restaurants that also keep indoors open for reservations if the weather is too bad for outside and don't offend their guests like that.

We love this restaurant right on the lake. The ambience, the peace and quiet, the food and the super nice and friendly service are simply great. Almost all wishes are fulfilled, you really feel at home here. The music isn't too loud and there's a really relaxed playlist playing at Strandgut 33. We think it's really nice that you can now reserve online. The menu is small but nice and there's something for everyone, whether it's breakfast, coffee or dinner. The wine selection could be better. We definitely recommend you to everyone. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hello, we discovered Strandgut by chance on a motorcycle tour and were absolutely thrilled by the great ambience, the friendly service and of course the really delicious food. The price level is certainly a little higher, but you also get added value in terms of quality! We were there for the second time this year and included this cool location in our tour again.
