Very good Italian restaurant with delicious food, excellent service and a great view from the terrace.

Great value, delicious meal, even came with complimentary glass of very pleasant semi-sparkling white wine. Really good homemade pils. Would definitely go again.

Once and never again! On September 17, 2025, we reserved seats for seven people at table 79 in the restaurant at 6:00 PM. The waiter came two minutes after we were seated to take our drinks. At that point, I had only skimmed five pages of the completely overloaded menu, so I explained to him that I would base my drink choice on the food. Three minutes later, he was standing next to me again and wanted to know my drink choice. Since I still couldn't decide, my response was: "He's been sitting here for half an hour and still doesn't know what he wants!" There were six witnesses. I decided not to order, which turned out to be a stroke of luck in retrospect. Some of the dishes were inedible (the French fries were undercooked and still cold inside, the schnitzel came from the deep fryer rather than the pan, the Thuringian roast beef was tough, etc.), so a large portion of the portions had to be returned. This food cannot be freshly prepared; you can sometimes get better food in a factory canteen. The service at our table was arrogant and unfriendly – ​​I've never been treated so badly. I'm at a loss as to how this restaurant can get 4.4 out of 5 stars. This restaurant doesn't deserve a single star and is not recommended!

We celebrated my mom's 75th birthday on September 13th and were beyond thrilled and satisfied. From the champagne reception to the beautifully selected appetizers, the tables were lovingly decorated, and we even got to decorate them ourselves. There were 25 of us, and the main courses all arrived at the same time and were perfectly delicious. The friendly service was particularly noteworthy, especially the waiter, Fabio, who was very accommodating and exceptionally kind and made this evening a very special one. For the third time, our class reunion was held at the Waldkasino Restaurant in Erfurt. This year marks 60 years of graduating from high school. Away from the other guests, we were able to have many undisturbed conversations in a private room. Many thanks for the attentive and super friendly service. A big compliment to the kitchen as well. It's just the Italian restaurant you'd expect. Everything is freshly prepared – simply delicious. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Waldkasino Hotel. The hotel is modern, comfortable, and very clean. A very special thank you also for the lovingly prepared breakfast buffet. Thank you so much, see you at the class reunion in 2026.

The food arrived in just 6 minutes after ordering. It felt like I was at McDonald's. I won't be going there again. And it tasted very bland.

We were here for the first time today. The restaurant was very busy, but the waiters and waitresses were still very friendly and nice. The food we ordered – two burgers, one burger with fries, one fries, and one fries with fish sticks – was served quite quickly. When you're seated, adults get a 0.1L Prosecco, and children, or adults if you want, get a 0.1L apple spritzer for free. The food was very tasty and there was plenty of it. The prices were a bit high in places, but that's not the case these days when you go out to eat. We will definitely come back next time we're in Erfurt.

We stopped here for dinner at the end of a hike. The menu is gigantic, and the restaurant is also very large. It's not exactly quiet, but it's delicious. We highly recommend it.

After 15 years, I was back at the Waldkasino. The beer garden was much more industrialized than it used to be. Tables were very tightly packed. It was correspondingly loud. I overheard a lot of neighbors' conversations. These crowds in such a small space weren't really our thing. What's still state-of-the-art is the pizza.

An Italian restaurant just like you'd imagine it to be. You'll receive a very friendly welcome and service. You'll sit comfortably on a large terrace overlooking the city, away from traffic noise, surrounded by greenery, and the menu leaves nothing to be desired. Whether salmon fillet, gnocchi with scampi, or spaghetti with shrimp, all the dishes are freshly prepared and delicious. You'll gladly return.

OK for a quick meal. For a quieter meal, keep looking. By the way, my appetizer plate was a disgrace. It was piled carelessly and without pride, half-raw vegetables. Others can do it much better. A shame.

If you want a good Italian pizza, you should go somewhere else. Unfortunately, it's no longer good.

We stayed four nights in the adjacent hotel. After receiving super friendly service on the first evening and enjoying the delicious food, we returned every evening. Thanks to the kitchen staff and especially our friendly waitress. We felt very comfortable.

The pizza only had four layers of ham in the middle. The service was fast, but not as friendly. A €4 tip was probably too little. If you want a good pizza, you'd better go somewhere else.

Quantity over quality. That describes the Waldkasino very well. Absolute mass production with mediocre quality. My wife ordered salmon with tagliatelle, and the sauce was full of thickeners. My "slightly spicy tomato sauce" was a line of cream sauce with passata, and my tortellini tasted no different than store-bought ones from Metro. The playground is a real hazard. The trampoline is barely taut, and there are gaping holes on the sides where a child slipped through. Not to mention the rotten wood of the playground bridge. Never again.

As they say, appearances can be deceiving. Unfortunately, the positive impression of the ambiance was quickly tarnished. We waited a long time for a waiter to attend to us. The menu was huge and unevenly arranged. Then a very long wait for the food to arrive. The pasta in the food was dried out and completely flavorless. They still need to practice making the spaghetti carbonara. Our guests, who were late, had their food at their tables after 10 minutes and complained about their lukewarm pizza. Perhaps the owner should exercise more control. As mentioned at the beginning, the restaurant has a great ambiance. There is a clear lack of organization and control here.

A good restaurant for a quick bite to eat with a cozy atmosphere despite its size. You can sit outside under the canopy with a beer garden feel or inside with a restaurant feel. The food selection is plentiful and home-style. The prices are perfectly reasonable, and the portions are generous. Wait times are very short, and the food is delicious. The service was really very good, attentive, and not intrusive. Overall, I can definitely recommend the Waldkasino.

We were on a short break at the hotel next door and ate there every evening. The restaurant is huge, and one of the back rooms resembles a cafeteria. There are other areas that are a bit more beautifully decorated. There's also a large outdoor terrace. A small glass of sparkling wine is always included. The menu is also huge. The food always arrives very quickly after ordering. All the dishes were delicious, and the portions were generous.

The quality of the food has declined drastically. The pizzas were barely edible. The pizza dough was completely bland and sticky. The toppings were cold. The seating on the terrace was extremely cramped. It was loud and you could barely hold a conversation. Unfortunately, this is just a mass-produced restaurant. Unfortunately, we can no longer recommend the Waldkasino.

I liked it there. Plenty of parking. I only had one pizza, which was very good, but I've had better. Prices aren't cheap, but they're not too expensive either. I paid €13 for a 28cm barrel with onions, and €4.50 for a 0.5l shandy. I was passing through and would eat there again if I were passing through.

Somehow, everything seems like mass processing. You order food, and less than two minutes later, it's on the table. The food has completely deteriorated. Some of it was cold and lacking in seasoning. Several tables at the same time were complaining about the chili cheeseburgers, which had no chili. The glass of wine (even if it's free) shouldn't have hair floating in it.

I started working with André Büttner as a personal trainer in Erfurt six months ago and can only recommend his professional and motivating approach. The training plans are individually tailored to my needs and varied, so I not only see physical progress but also enjoy the training.

The location is good, but unfortunately, they're cutting corners in the wrong places. I expected this restaurant and the ambiance to serve fresh vegetables and fresh mushrooms in a creamy sauce. The fried potatoes weren't good either. Since it's obviously an Italian restaurant, you should probably order Italian dishes here. They at least looked better. It's a shame; I'd pay more for high-quality ingredients. I hope the quality improves again, then I'll be happy to come back.

Das Essen kam schnell, allerdings waren die Tortellini noch richtig fest. Insgesamt war das Essen auch nicht gut gewürzt. Einzig das Bier war lecker, deshalb die zwei Punkte. Hier geht es nur noch um Massenabfertigung und das schnelle Geld. Schade, war früher gern hier.

We had reserved a table, but unfortunately, it wasn't as good as we'd hoped. The food arrived super quickly, but the burgers were only lukewarm and not a hit. Drinks: Peach iced tea, according to our kids, tasted like cheap crumb tea. I think this visit is enough for us; we'll eat somewhere else next time. It's very loud there, like a train station.

The ice cream was tasty. The service was overloaded and a bit lackluster in my opinion. It was dingy. One waiter dropped something at his workplace. This was pushed under the counter with the foot. When we went out there were full ashtrays, used glasses and bottles standing around. Nice destination but more love for the work couldn't hurt. Maybe the management isn't good either. The prices have risen again and the portions are smaller. I then had to go to the toilets; they were very dirty and unhygienic, and people hardly dared to use them. Conclusion: Everything has slowed down a lot and you get the feeling that only the masses are being processed. 🤨

The restaurant is also not recommended for drinking, as most of the glasses were very worn and some were dirty. All in all, I can only recommend the restaurant for ice cream - unfortunately not for anything else. The service was also very unfriendly and disappointing.
