Cafe Morgenland in Berlin

I thought it was really good. We went there for brunch. There was plenty for vegetarians too. A really nice employee volunteered to explain all the dishes to me. That way, I knew exactly what I could and couldn't eat. It was busy, but the service was still great. I'd love to go back.

We arrived there after seeing the very good reviews and we were not disappointed at all. The welcome is very friendly and warm, this beautiful brasserie has retained the charm of yesteryear, and the sunny terrace is very pleasant. In addition, the owner speaks well and likes to speak French, which is very appreciated. Nice menu of dishes for brunch, the burgers are very good with fresh produce. Original sucuk burger, not bad at all. The Apfel Strudel is to die for, one of the best I have eaten. Please note that the buffet formula is only served on weekends. Here we don't make you understand that you have to clear the table quickly, relaxing atmosphere and good jazzy music, so if you are in a hurry let us know otherwise you will wait. We will return there with great pleasure during a future stay so you understand, I RECOMMEND.

An absolutely fantastic breakfast! The selection was huge and lovingly prepared - fresh fruit in a decorative glass, various types of cheese and cold cuts, a perfectly cooked egg, olives, tomatoes with rocket and pesto as well as fresh rolls and bread from the bread basket. I particularly liked the quality of the ingredients – everything tasted fresh and high quality. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also pleasant and inviting. If you are looking for a rich and varied breakfast, you have come to the right place. I'll definitely be back!

We were there for dinner and it was really tasty. The menu is a colorful mix of German, Italian and Oriental cuisine. That surprised me, but we both quickly found something: asparagus with fried salmon fillet and oriental minced meatballs. Parking is really a matter of luck in this location.

I always come here when I'm in Berlin from Hanover. Great cocktails and atmosphere. Host is super nice and always remembers 🥰🙊

Was there for breakfast today. I waited 40 minutes for the food. The hygiene leaves a lot to be desired. Tea glass with lipstick imprint, the teaspoon as well. Toilet without soap and towels. The passage to the toilet is open, where the filled bread baskets are also freely available on the table for the guests. I would have liked a little more cleanliness and hygiene. The waitress is super nice, but definitely won't come back.

After what felt like 20 years, I went to Café Morgendland again for brunch on Sunday. I had such beautiful, transfigured memories that unfortunately vanished into thin air during this visit. We had reserved a table with several people (including children) at 10 a.m. and got it. In between, however, individual chairs at this table had to be defended against people who had just arrived for breakfast because the staff wanted to cram these people into our already very full table. The café is loud and cramped and completely overcrowded at brunch times. At around 11 a.m. there are still people standing around in the aisle waiting for a table to be available for them. The room in which the buffet is set up is very narrow and several people want to fill their plates at the same time, so you can't get in, get through or get to anything. The selection of the buffet isn't exactly great either. The only warm dishes we had were eggs in three variations, potato wedges, chicken legs and fried sausages. This can clearly be improved, especially for vegetarians and vegans. There are far better brunch buffets at this price here in Berlin! It's also a shame that it doesn't say anywhere what kind of pastes etc. are actually served at the buffet. However, this would be important to know for all people who would like to avoid meat or fish, for example. So when in doubt, put something on your plate that you no longer want to eat after trying it for the first time... We had to wait a long time for drinks, we had already finished the first course when the coffee arrived. The big hit, however, was the billing. It was explained to us that only one child could be taken into account at the buffet with a children's price, since the children ultimately take seats where full-paying adults could otherwise sit. I've rarely heard such nonsense! The price for a children's buffet is lower because smaller people simply eat smaller quantities, not because they only occupy half the seats. Conclusion: The brunch in Morgendland and the service there can be greatly improved! Maybe in 20 years I'll dare to visit Morgendland again, but for now I'd rather go back to other cafes in the city for brunch.

Super delicious brunch, something for everyone whether vegan or not, we filled our bellies ;) Yes, you can reserve a table for brunch between 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 4 p.m., we were there from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and were still able to eat the lasagna, asparagus and cauliflower at 11:30 a.m. The staff is very attentive and a bit crowded, but you could have a conversation despite the crowd. We'll be happy to come back, thank you

Went here for brunch for the first time today for our daughter's 20th birthday. Great, delicious food, very nice, attentive service, the rooms are a bit cramped (but that also has something to it)... We'll definitely eat here again soon - not far from home. Clear recommendation! 😊

We had brunch and enjoyed the Mediterranean and oriental specialties. The brunch buffet was very decent for the price, the food was of good quality and plentiful. Service was courteous and quick, but the volume in the restaurant was very high, making it difficult to have a good conversation at peak brunch times.

We sat outside in beautiful spring weather and enjoyed brunch on Saturday morning. I had a chai latte and a small freshly squeezed orange juice. The service was very friendly, and the buffet selection was large and varied. We'll definitely be back 🌼

Not a bad place. A large selection of food. Today, a visit costs €17 per person. It is a pity that there is no (or we were not given) a discount for children, it would be appropriate.

In January 2025 the two of us were here for brunch. Coffee, tea and juices are delicious. The latte macchiato is still in the usual size (unfortunately it is no longer necessarily standard). Nice service. The food is ok. Unfortunately, the super delicious olive salad is no longer available. The selection wasn't really convincing. Signs telling you not to eat the decorations. Why? Hopefully it won't be reused? (!) We were only allowed to stay for 2 hours before the table was taken again. From around 11:45 a.m. there was another selection of warm dishes. So you can't actually test the entire buffet. Too bad. What really struck me negatively was the mountain of fried eggs. They looked scary. The atmosphere in the dining room is very stressful. Loud and very tight. You constantly have to make room for someone, whether at the buffet or at the table. Unfortunately no recommendation.

Terrible experience and wasted money. At 17.90 for brunch and normal prices for drinks, banal food, below average ambience and atmosphere, smell of sweat everywhere (noticeable immediately when you walk in, definitely coming from several employees). Although there isn't much else to do during brunch time, it takes a long time for drinks to be brought to you. The tea is absolutely tasteless and carelessly made and served. The brunch, praised as "Mediterranean", consists largely of banalities, apart from a few characteristic spreads and halvas. Only Sunday rolls are offered as bread; no other types of bread, let alone pitas. No olive oil, no freshly ground pepper. I wanted to get grapes: they are everywhere as decoration, but you get scolded if you try to take them. It was pointed out to me that there was a fruit salad that had no grapes left in it at that point. At the end the employee treated me to a small branch. The whole thing is terrible. And simply too expensive as a full meal option.

The Sunday brunch in three 2-hour shifts is unfortunately a mass processing of too many guests in rooms that are too cramped and urgently require maintenance... Example men's toilet: The fact that guests behave in an impossible way and smear and destroy is absolutely annoying for the operator. But capitulating to chaotic people makes it very unpleasant for normal guests - wobbling door handles, dispensers torn out, one of three urinals removed, the water pipe dangling from it and the drain poorly closed with aluminum foil, only one toilet - without a paper dispenser (also torn out, the drill holes still closed). see), but paper on a smeared toilet tank, spare rolls on a dirty floor... The quality of the food is average, that Refilling carefully and regularly, but also setting up the buffet feels free due to the space and the large number of guests.

Very nice little cafe. Went there spontaneously for brunch today. It was full, but we still got a table spontaneously. But reservations would be recommended. The people there are very nice and committed. We felt comfortable straight away. The breakfast buffet was first class. Lots of salads, fruit, cheese not too meaty. Also very tasty. + First of all, the service was very nice to us and the atmosphere is cozy 0 the buffet (brunch) wasn't bad. At first glance there is a very large selection, but a lot of it is repeated and there are not really high-quality ingredients (cold cuts/cereals like from a discounter). Warm dishes a la tortellini with tomato sauce, chicken in white sauce were available, but not really convincing. Plus cold dips like hummus, which were ok. Fruit was good. - It's incredibly cramped at the buffet and someone's jeans are always stuck in the food - it's incredibly crowded and cramped at the tables, you're constantly being jostled from one side or another, with dogs and strollers in between Overall, the brunch was a bit too expensive at 17.90 without drinks, a solid selection of dishes of mediocre quality, in a very (!) narrow and loud setting.

We came on January 1st and were welcomed by a very nice and friendly waitress (perhaps owner?) that made our very good brunch even better !

We visited this establishment as part of a pub crawl through Kreuzberg. After we had to wait 15 minutes for a service, a waitress came up to us and was (not) beaming with joy. After our order was taken, we waited another 20 minutes until the 6 drinks were ready. The beer was served. Here “foam crown” was a foreign term. The Vodka-E tasted more like Vodka-W. Namely, water. There was no trace of carbon dioxide. Thanks. Never again.

A place to have breakfast with family and friends. On Saturday and Sunday you need to book early if you want brunch. During dinner don't forget to try their burger, which is just mind blowing.

A nice little restaurant but I won't be coming back. Way too crowded for brunch. The tables are so close together that you can hardly move and because you have to constantly get up to go to the buffet, you can't eat in peace because you have to make room for others. The buffet itself was tasty and the selection was very good. It was constantly changing, so you couldn't try everything :) I'd rather pay more for food and have a little space for it. But the price was quite reasonable for the circumstances. But you have to like this very cramped space. It's not my case.

Went for brunch with 9 people, nothing was said about a time limit when we made the reservation, so we were very disappointed that we were asked to pay in a more or less friendly manner (2 hours). You also have to like that the dog is allowed to be in the small/cramped guest room.

Und das, obwohl wir mit einem Gutschein vom Schlemmerblock aufgetaucht sind! Gutes Essen, schöne Atmosphäre! Abwechslungsreiche Karte mit tollen Angeboten! Tolles Preis- Leistungsverhältnis! The Morgenland restaurant in Berlin really impressed us! We started with delicious bread and dips that were really good. As a starter we had nachos. They were at least as good as they looked in the photo. The main courses were Maultaschen - awesome. The vegan burger with fries was also great, really juicy and well seasoned. We also had an Aperol Spritz and a Hugo - perfect to top it off. One of us was also a little buzzed. The service was really friendly and even answered Who Wants to Be a Millionaire questions. The food came quickly and the whole atmosphere was really cozy. Definitely a place to remember! We'd love to come back :)

Dear service, you immediately felt welcome. There was a huge selection of delicious food, so there was something for vegans, vegetarians and meat lovers, both young and old. It got a bit crowded at lunchtime. But if you make a reservation or get there on time, it will ensure that everyone gets a nice seat.

Very nice, buffet was great and not overpriced. Selection of bread, muesli, yoghurt, spreads, fruit, vegetables, warm dishes such as eggs. Vegan items are also included, but neither allergens nor any other information about food is marked. Quite nice and very tasty, but the interior is very small and when it's full it gets loud very quickly, outside it was great. We'll be back :)
