Based on the description, I was expecting a small, unassuming café around the corner where you can enjoy a casual breakfast. And that's exactly what it was. Nothing more. Nothing less. That's exactly what I did. Unfortunately, the latte came in a double-walled glass, which meant it stayed way too hot for a long time. The croissants were baked a bit too short, and the tables were a bit too close together, so you not only HAD to join in the conversation at the next table, but you could barely hear them. Otherwise, everything was great. Cozy, homey, perfect for a quick coffee break or a quick glance at the newspaper.

Thanks for helping us celebrate our friend's birthday and making her feel special! Our schnitzels with sauce were delicious, potatoes were perfect and salads wonderful! The wine list is full of lovely choices by the glass and bottle.

Paying only in cash these days is simply not customer-friendly.

Not accepting card payments these days... well, maybe. Maybe not ideal for sales. But it's better than not accepting cash. So, it's fine. Otherwise, everything was great. Reservations are recommended during peak times.

Good food and service. I missed a bit of a Bavarian accent on the menu. Perhaps it was overshadowed by the parsley.

Sat us in a corner, supposedly took our order then we were forgotten. Asked our smug waiter about this twice. He said he put the order in then later asked us what we ordered. We left after 1 hr and a cappuccino. Disappointing experience. Left 10 Euro on the table for the coffees.

If you drive over 400km to Munich only to be served a baked pretzel from the supermarket at breakfast, that's very disappointing! * Service was nice, the atmosphere was ok. But nothing more!

The Haidhausen Café is really an insider tip in Munich! The terrace in the backyard is the perfect place to take a quick breath and leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind you. And the best thing: It's right on Rosenheimer Platz, so it's super easy to get to. The prices are totally fair, and the homemade jam is amazing - especially the banana jam, which is a real highlight. I can only recommend the avocado bread with fried egg, really tasty and well made. And the service was friendly and good. All in all: The café is a great start to the day. I like it: I'll definitely go there again! 😊

I was only there once, in the afternoon, it was a bit chilly in the restaurant. The staff is extremely friendly. The chocolate cake was very good and so was the coffee. The ambience is a matter of taste. I can imagine that it will be very busy in the evening, and that was also confirmed to me. Huhu

So if you like small portions with basic culinary requirements: go for it. Eggs were buttery, off-the-shelf bread and simple jam. We're definitely not coming back. Watered down yogurt, add 1 slice of white toast. Full of butter!

Typically Bavarian inn, a little more upscale. Was only there for drinks. Service friendly and quick. Will definitely come back.

We were here for brunch, definitely make a reservation, without a reservation there are only seats at the bar. The atmosphere is rustic but clean. The service tried hard but unfortunately was totally overwhelmed. We waited about 30 minutes for the drinks and unfortunately even an hour for the food. The food is a bit carelessly prepared but tastes good, every plate looks the same. Prices are good. Attention, cash payment only.

We very much enjoyed dinner here a few weeks ago. This cafe had very the much the feel of a hangout more for locals, but we were made to feel welcomed. The food was delicious, the service attentive, and the atmosphere cozy. I'm glad we happened upon this neighborhood gem when we were staying nearby. Thank you for a most excellent time.

Excellent breakfast and brunch options to fill the body and soul. Loved the Bavarian white sausage paired with a breakfast beer Franziskaner helles weissbier. Also enjoyed the Sicilian platter and fresh squeezed orange juice. The staff are wonderful and have excellent suggestions to offer. A must visit if spending a few days in Munich.

There is not much variety on the menu, but it is enough, the food is delicious. The service is fast and high quality. The two waiters who hosted us were very attentive and polite. It's a good idea to make a reservation before you go. By the way, payment can only be made in cash, credit card is not accepted.

Cozy restaurant, delicious food and very friendly service!

We went to this restaurant three times this weekend, once for drinks and a snack, once for breakfast and then again for dinner. And what can I say? The food was super tasty and the staff was super friendly. A big thank you also to the waiter who freshly prepared a hot drink with ginger for my cold. 😊 I also had the best Kaiserschmarrn and apple strudel I've ever had there. I didn't think the 20 minute wait for the Kaiserschmarrn was too long, but it was really nice that it was pointed out. It's a shame that we were only in Munich for the weekend. But we will definitely come back and then definitely to the restaurant. What I learned: You should call ahead for seats, otherwise the bar is a great place to sit. 😁

From the outside, the restaurant seems inconspicuous at first. But when you walk in, you are immediately surrounded by the great atmosphere of a traditional restaurant with really friendly, warm service from the greeting to the farewell. The menu has something to suit every taste and I found it very difficult to choose because I could have ordered 4 or 5 dishes from the current evening menu. There is also the normal card with the Haidhausen standards - also very appealing!! The quality of the food and drinks is also very good and the price-performance ratio is phenomenal. I can highly recommend a visit!!!

Very nice and attentive staff. For this reason alone, Café Haidhausen is worth a visit. The small beer garden in the inner courtyard invites you to linger. However, it will be closed at 10 p.m. due to noise protection. That's not a big deal as it's nice to sit inside too. The food is really excellent and very reasonably priced. We have never been dissatisfied so far. The only negative point: You can only pay in cash, which I find a bit incomprehensible these days and especially in a city like Munich. What's great, however, is that this is pointed out both on the website and in the entrance door. It would still be nice if you could pay by card in the future. 😊

A super nice cafe. I was there for breakfast and was pretty impressed. Even though it was a holiday, it was quite quiet and I was able to take a seat in the wonderful courtyard. There are many different breakfast options. I was very happy with my choice, the price/performance ratio was right. The milk coffee was also very tasty. And the service was also great, very friendly and attentive. If I'm ever in Munich again, I'll take another look.

Service was friendly. The apple strudel tasted ok and considering that it was most likely frozen, I felt the price was too overpriced. I was a bit disgusted by the unsanitary toilets. A no-go!

Wir haben es wieder getan. Agenturtreffen während des Münchener Filmfestes im Cafe Haidhausen. So wie im letzten Jahr sind wir OHNE ENDE verwöhnt worden. Die Belegschaft sorgte wieder für gute Stimmung. Das Essen war sehr fein. Getränke in sekundenschnelle fertig. Alles lekker, alles super! Die Räumlichkeiten laden zum verweilen ein. Auch ein schöner Aussenbereich ist vorhanden. Wer einen Platz sucht, an dem richtig gut gefeiert werden - oder vernetzt werden kann, ist hier richtig. Wieder habe ich mich zu 150 % wohl gefühlt. Really nice place. We went there for dinner and ordered a veggie burger and a schnitzel. Everything was good. But the best part was the Kaiserschmarrn, it was delicious! The ambience was comfy and the waitress was nice. You can only pay with cash.

It's a very nice atmosphere, it's quiet and pleasant, you can have a good conversation, unfortunately I don't know about the food there, I only ordered Pina Colada, which was also very tasty. I can recommend it if you're looking for a quiet cafe 😃

Good selection of different breakfasts. Quality but nothing special. Bread is very limited, but you can always order more, free of charge. Atmosphere in the backyard, quiet, cozy. Could be decorated a little more attractively. The service on a Sunday morning was a disaster. Cappuccino only lukewarm. And the price is more in the listening segment, not justified by the quality and service.

The food was OK and the waitress nice! The coffee wasn't so great. But the annoying thing was that they only take cash payments and don’t call it out beyond a small sign on the door that can easily be overlooked. Then I had to find an ATM and pay 6 Eur to withdraw 40 Eur. Hence, that's what the 1 star is for, would have rated 4 stars otherwise.

We were here on Valentine's Day and it was surprisingly quiet. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was tasty.. Price wise it is quite high but worth the money. The café is close to Rosenheimer Platz and ideal if you want to have a drink after the cinema or after the Gasteig.

Nettes Café/Bar. Freundlicher Service. Penne arrabiata wenig gewürzt. Keine Schärfe. Mit Käse serviert. Hat mit italienischer Arrabiata nichts zu tun. KartoffelSuppe mit wenig Geschmack. Musste auch nachgewürzt werden.

Meim Besuch bei Café Haidhausen. Betritt man das eher alte, schnuckige Gebäude, erspäht man Lichterketten, eine Bar, viele Kerzen und allgemein einfach eine sehr gute Atmosphäre. Die freundliche Kellnerin zeigt dir deinen Platz und du kannst mit dem Menü-Stöbern anfangen. Das Dekor ist einfach entzückend. Dieses Restaurant hat einen italienischen und deutschen vibe. Sehr schön. Essen gibt es hier von allen Nationalitäten. Aber ich muss zugeben, die deutsche und die indische Küche ist hier fantastisch. Die italienische so halbwegs. Mit einer Gruppe von vier waren wir unterwegs. Wir bestellten zwei Haidhausen Special Burger, eine indische Spezialität und ein mal Penne Arabiata.Die Burger waren fantastisch. Das knusprige Salat, die frischen Tomaten, der perfekte Patty, das cremige Käse und die Soße schmolzen in deinem Mund. Dann noch die Pommes dazu! Eine Delikatesse! Ich sollte nicht über dem indischen starten. Einfach excellent! Die warme Soße, das Fleisch und das gegrillte Gemüse ober drauf! So viel Lob an das Pasta kann ich leider nicht geben. Lauwarm kam es bei mir an mit ein bisschen Tomatensoße draufgeklatscht. Traurig dies überhaupt italienisch zu nennen. Als ob dies nicht schlimm genug wäre. Neben uns war ein Hund, der nicht aufhören konnte zu bellen. Der Arbeitsgeber sollte wirklich auf so etwas achten! Eine Unverschämheit! Das Personal ist einigermaßen freundlich aber etwas langsam. Die Preise hier sind sehr gut eingeschätzt. Insgesamt war mein Besuch hier erfreulich. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Vom Anspruch her natürlich kein Restaurant mit gehobener Küche. Die gute Bewertung bezieht sich darauf, dass man hier genau das bekommt, was man von einem Speisecafé erwarten kann: Ordentliches Angebot an Speisen, reichhaltige Auswahl an Getränken, Cocktails und Spirituosen zu angemessenen Preisen und einen sehr freundlichen Service.

I had the tagliatelle, it tasted quite bland and was average. The cafe was too loud to hear each other talking and they only accept cash. There is better food out there in the city for the same price imo.

Wir waren zum Frühstück im Café Haidhausen und hatten das Frühstück „Wollsocke“und „Sizilianer“. 🍳🥐Alles in allem hat es uns sehr gut geschmeckt, nur die Marmelade war etwas sauer. Kaffe ist gut und die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Gerne wieder ☺️

Super gemütliches Restaurant/Bar/Cafe/wie auch immer man es gerne benennen möchte. Abgesehen davon, dass man es nicht ist, könnte man denken, man sei in einem kleinen Wiener Cafehaus. Die Atmosphäre ist wirklich sehr entspannt und das Kellerbier wird im Tonkrug serviert #hygge

Das Cafe Haidhausen ist ein sehr nettes Gasthaus, egal ob für einen leckeren Drink oder auch etwas schmackhaftes zu essen. Die Drinks sind stets gut zubereitet und immer zuverlässig vom freundlichen Barmann Ben serviert. Zudem ist Ben auch sonst ein sehr höflicher sowie zuvorkommender junger Mann, welcher sehr gut ins Cafe Haidhausen passt. Besonders kann ich den alkoholfreien Cocktail ,,Carlito’’ gut heißen. Eine klare Empfehlung!

Zuwenig Personal, jedoch bemüht! Habe dort nicht gegessen, jedoch wurde mir gesagt das es okay ist.

Die Auswahl von Kuchen war eher gering. Mir hat aber das Ambiente gut gefallen und die Speisen an den anderen Tischen sahen wirklich sehr gut aus.
