Café Haidhausen in München

Wir waren im Restaurant essen und leider war das Essen enttäuschend. Ich hatte Spaghetti Pesto bestellt, allerdings haben sie hauptsächlich fettig geschmeckt, mit sehr wenig Pesto. Außerdem wurden die Cashewkerne, die eigentlich dazugehören sollten, leider vergessen. Mein Freund hatte ein Schnitzel bestellt, das leider sehr trocken war und eher wie eine Schuhsohle geschmeckt hat. Von einem knusprigen Schnitzel war es geschmacklich und von der Konsistenz her weit entfernt. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich jedoch die Kellnerin: Sie war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Deshalb wollte ich vor Ort auch nichts sagen. Trotzdem war das Essen insgesamt leider nicht überzeugend.

Wir waren vor vielen Jahren schon einmal hier und es war unser liebstes Münchner Frühstück. Auch heute, Jahre später, ist es noch genauso perfekt wie in unserer Erinnerung. Freundlicher Service. Hervorragendes Essen. Wir wurden wie alte Freunde empfangen.

Ein richtig schönes Café, schöne gelegen und mit den öffentlichen sehr gut zu erreichen. Super freundliches Personal in familiärer Atmosphäre. Faire Preise und überragendes Essen. Vor allem die schöne Terrasse im Garten lädt zum verweilen ein. Egal ob Frühstück, Mittag oder Abendessen. Hier findet jeder zu jederzeit das richtige zu Essen. Auch Drinks und Cocktails sind super! Kann ich nur wirklich jedem empfehlen.

Bedienung war sehr nett. Kartenzahlung ist nicht möglich - das ist einfach unpraktisch und im Jahre 2026 auch m.M.n. inakzeptabel

Ein absolut fantastisches Restaurant! Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas, die Atmosphäre ist super, man kann drinnen oder draußen sitzen, und der Besitzer und das Personal sind einfach wunderbar! Ein toller Abend!

Man kann nicht mit Karte zahlen. Musstr Geld vom ATM holen. Echt lächerlich bei so einem großen Café.

Leider habe ich im Café keine besonders gastfreundliche Erfahrung gemacht. Auf meine höfliche Bitte hin, die Musik etwas leiser zu stellen, erklärte mir die Bedienung zunächst, dass dies nur der Chef entscheiden könne. Kurz darauf kam dieser selbst an unseren Tisch, stellte sich breitbeinig vor uns auf und machte in einem sehr unangenehmen Ton deutlich, dass allein er bestimme, wie laut die Musik sei. Außerdem wurde uns gesagt, wir könnten ja woanders hingehen, da er auf den Umsatz „von ein paar Cappuccino“ nicht angewiesen sei. Kritik oder Wünsche von Gästen scheinen hier leider nicht willkommen zu sein. Schade, denn ein respektvoller Umgang sollte in der Gastronomie selbstverständlich sein.

Ich hatte leider keine gute Erfahrung in dem Lokal. Wir waren zum Frühstück dort. Der Kellner hat die Bestellung 3 mal nacherfragen müssen. (Lokal nicht einmal zu einem drittel besetzt). Er wirkte sehr zerstreut. Auf den Kaffee mussten wir etwas warten, was soweit ok war. Der Kaffee an sich war gut. Das Frühstück dauerte recht lange und wurde nicht gleichzeitig serviert. Bis alle Bestandteile dann da waren, verging eine Zeitspanne von 30 Minuten. Der Kellner war wenig aufmerksam zu Nachbestellungen. Das Ei des Omletts war stark gestockt und daher trocken und fettig. Die Breze war eine billige TK Breze, die zu allem Überdruss zu lange gebacken und damit trocken war. Die Avocadocreme war ungewürzt. Der Kellner wollte sich das Trinkgeld erbetteln. Behielt sich aus dem Rückgeld entgegen meines Wunsches Geld ein. Ich wollte dazu nichts mehr sagen, weil mir die Situation mehr als unangenehm war. Die Lokation war ansonsten ganz nett - sehr gut mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen, vielleicht hilft es das Servicepersonal auszutauschen.

Sehr freundlicher Service, das Essen wie immer sehr gut und reichlich

Das Beste daran ist, dass sie bis spät abends geöffnet haben. Dort arbeitet ein supernetter Barista, der einem mit fantastischem Kaffee und toller Atmosphäre den Tag versüßt. Man kann nur bar bezahlen, und das Schild ist manchmal etwas versteckt. Ich gehe meistens von Motorama hierher, wenn ich abends noch in der Stadtbibliothek bin und mir einen Kaffee holen möchte. Sie sind absolut höflich und der Service ist wirklich gut.

Eine Speisekarte im Café-Stil mit regionalen Gerichten, die sehr gut waren. Freundliches und angenehmes Ambiente. Angemessene Preise.

Tolle Atmosphäre, freundliches Personal. Mein Veggieburger war ziemlich fad, die Pommes und der Salat dazu zum Glück lecker. Ich glaube, der Patty war ein Fertigteil. Der Kaiserschmarrn und Apfelstrudel meiner Begleitungen wurde sehr gelobt.

Wir waren an einem frostigen Feiertag zum Frühstücken dort. Speisen und Getränke waren gut und dem Preis angemessen. Leider war es im Gastraum viel zu kalt, auch von der Heizung aus kam es nur lauwarm daher. Die Wasserhähne aus den Toiletten müssten auch dringend wieder Entkalkt werden. Alles in allem mangelt es dem Betreiber anscheinend an der Wertschätzung seiner Gäste

Ein wirklich gemütliches Café mit Restaurantbetrieb am Abend. Die Tageskarte ist abwechslungsreich, das Essen durchweg lecker und für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Sehr aufmerksamer Service und ein schönes, entspanntes Ambiente.

Das Café Haidhausen (Reservierung am Sonntag vorteilhaft) ist mehr Restaurant und Bar als Café. Das mindert die Qualität des Frühstücks aber in keiner Weise. Die Gäste, von Familie mit Kleinkind bis Golden Ager, sind eher aus dem Wohnumfeld als Hotspot-Seeker. Und dadurch entsteht ein sehr angenehmes Ambiente, was auch durch das sehr aufmerksame Service-Team unterstützt wird. Einzig die Akkustik, und somit die Qualität einer Unterhaltung, ist abhängig von der Lautstärke der Anwesenden und somit ein Glücksspiel. Insgesamt ein Dank an die Küche und das Team. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Toller, schneller Kaffeestopp in München. Der Ort ist sehr gemütlich und komfortabel. 👌

When I still lived in Haidhausen, this was my favorite haunt! I recently visited again after a long time and I'm feeling quite homesick for Haidhausen! The food was delicious, the atmosphere lovely – simply one of the most down-to-earth places in Munich. The entire staff was incredibly friendly. So, even for those who have moved away, Café Haidhausen is definitely worth a visit!

I've been coming here for ages, and now I finally have to express it: It's always a pleasure to experience the pleasant atmosphere of your charming cafe. The service is so friendly and attentive. You simply feel comfortable and well taken care of, and you're happy to stay a little longer.

Traditional restaurant with a beautiful ambiance and friendly service.

Unfortunately, the cocktail was only sweet and lukewarm. The atmosphere in the courtyard was quiet. The waitress didn't even ask if I liked it.

Nice staff. Mostly local clientele, which was really nice. The waiter was very kind and took his time with us as we were English speakers. They have English translations for their menus. We had a peaceful and enjoyable meal on their inner garden terrace, and it was so much nicer than the touristy hotels and flashier restaurants in the area. Thank you all for a nice time!

Good cocktails best kaiserschmarrn in munich

Based on the description, I was expecting a small, unassuming café around the corner where you can enjoy a casual breakfast. And that's exactly what it was. Nothing more. Nothing less. That's exactly what I did. Unfortunately, the latte came in a double-walled glass, which meant it stayed way too hot for a long time. The croissants were baked a bit too short, and the tables were a bit too close together, so you not only HAD to join in the conversation at the next table, but you could barely hear them. Otherwise, everything was great. Cozy, homey, perfect for a quick coffee break or a quick glance at the newspaper.

Thanks for helping us celebrate our friend's birthday and making her feel special! Our schnitzels with sauce were delicious, potatoes were perfect and salads wonderful! The wine list is full of lovely choices by the glass and bottle.

Paying only in cash these days is simply not customer-friendly.

Small but nice, friendly service

Not accepting card payments these days... well, maybe. Maybe not ideal for sales. But it's better than not accepting cash. So, it's fine. Otherwise, everything was great. Reservations are recommended during peak times.

Good food and service. I missed a bit of a Bavarian accent on the menu. Perhaps it was overshadowed by the parsley.

Sat us in a corner, supposedly took our order then we were forgotten. Asked our smug waiter about this twice. He said he put the order in then later asked us what we ordered. We left after 1 hr and a cappuccino. Disappointing experience. Left 10 Euro on the table for the coffees.

The Haidhausen Café is really an insider tip in Munich! The terrace in the backyard is the perfect place to take a quick breath and leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind you. And the best thing: It's right on Rosenheimer Platz, so it's super easy to get to. The prices are totally fair, and the homemade jam is amazing - especially the banana jam, which is a real highlight. I can only recommend the avocado bread with fried egg, really tasty and well made. And the service was friendly and good. All in all: The café is a great start to the day. I like it: I'll definitely go there again! 😊

I was only there once, in the afternoon, it was a bit chilly in the restaurant. The staff is extremely friendly. The chocolate cake was very good and so was the coffee. The ambience is a matter of taste. I can imagine that it will be very busy in the evening, and that was also confirmed to me. Huhu

So if you like small portions with basic culinary requirements: go for it. Eggs were buttery, off-the-shelf bread and simple jam. We're definitely not coming back. Watered down yogurt, add 1 slice of white toast. Full of butter!

We were here for brunch, definitely make a reservation, without a reservation there are only seats at the bar. The atmosphere is rustic but clean. The service tried hard but unfortunately was totally overwhelmed. We waited about 30 minutes for the drinks and unfortunately even an hour for the food. The food is a bit carelessly prepared but tastes good, every plate looks the same. Prices are good. Attention, cash payment only.

We very much enjoyed dinner here a few weeks ago. This cafe had very the much the feel of a hangout more for locals, but we were made to feel welcomed. The food was delicious, the service attentive, and the atmosphere cozy. I'm glad we happened upon this neighborhood gem when we were staying nearby. Thank you for a most excellent time.

Excellent breakfast and brunch options to fill the body and soul. Loved the Bavarian white sausage paired with a breakfast beer Franziskaner helles weissbier. Also enjoyed the Sicilian platter and fresh squeezed orange juice. The staff are wonderful and have excellent suggestions to offer. A must visit if spending a few days in Munich.

It's a good idea to make a reservation before you go. By the way, payment can only be made in cash, credit card is not accepted.

We went to this restaurant three times this weekend, once for drinks and a snack, once for breakfast and then again for dinner. And what can I say? The food was super tasty and the staff was super friendly. A big thank you also to the waiter who freshly prepared a hot drink with ginger for my cold. 😊 I also had the best Kaiserschmarrn and apple strudel I've ever had there. I didn't think the 20 minute wait for the Kaiserschmarrn was too long, but it was really nice that it was pointed out. It's a shame that we were only in Munich for the weekend. But we will definitely come back and then definitely to the restaurant. What I learned: You should call ahead for seats, otherwise the bar is a great place to sit. 😁

From the outside, the restaurant seems inconspicuous at first. But when you walk in, you are immediately surrounded by the great atmosphere of a traditional restaurant with really friendly, warm service from the greeting to the farewell. The menu has something to suit every taste and I found it very difficult to choose because I could have ordered 4 or 5 dishes from the current evening menu. There is also the normal card with the Haidhausen standards - also very appealing!! The quality of the food and drinks is also very good and the price-performance ratio is phenomenal. I can highly recommend a visit!!!

Very nice and attentive staff. For this reason alone, Café Haidhausen is worth a visit. The small beer garden in the inner courtyard invites you to linger. However, it will be closed at 10 p.m. due to noise protection. That's not a big deal as it's nice to sit inside too. The food is really excellent and very reasonably priced. We have never been dissatisfied so far. The only negative point: You can only pay in cash, which I find a bit incomprehensible these days and especially in a city like Munich. What's great, however, is that this is pointed out both on the website and in the entrance door. It would still be nice if you could pay by card in the future. 😊

A super nice cafe. I was there for breakfast and was pretty impressed. Even though it was a holiday, it was quite quiet and I was able to take a seat in the wonderful courtyard. There are many different breakfast options. I was very happy with my choice, the price/performance ratio was right. The milk coffee was also very tasty. And the service was also great, very friendly and attentive. If I'm ever in Munich again, I'll take another look.

Service was friendly. The apple strudel tasted ok and considering that it was most likely frozen, I felt the price was too overpriced. I was a bit disgusted by the unsanitary toilets. A no-go!

We entered unpretentiously as it was on the list of recommended restaurants near the hotel. We were surprised by the food and the service, very friendly and attentive waiters, especially the Brazilian Carlos.

Wir haben es wieder getan. Agenturtreffen während des Münchener Filmfestes im Cafe Haidhausen. So wie im letzten Jahr sind wir OHNE ENDE verwöhnt worden. Die Belegschaft sorgte wieder für gute Stimmung. Das Essen war sehr fein. Getränke in sekundenschnelle fertig. Alles lekker, alles super! Die Räumlichkeiten laden zum verweilen ein. Auch ein schöner Aussenbereich ist vorhanden. Wer einen Platz sucht, an dem richtig gut gefeiert werden - oder vernetzt werden kann, ist hier richtig. Wieder habe ich mich zu 150 % wohl gefühlt. Really nice place. We went there for dinner and ordered a veggie burger and a schnitzel. Everything was good. But the best part was the Kaiserschmarrn, it was delicious! The ambience was comfy and the waitress was nice. You can only pay with cash.

It's a very nice atmosphere, it's quiet and pleasant, you can have a good conversation, unfortunately I don't know about the food there, I only ordered Pina Colada, which was also very tasty. I can recommend it if you're looking for a quiet cafe 😃
