Very beautiful and extravagant. We'll be back!

Ordered a Baileys, paid €6.60 for less than a finger with an ice cube inside, when on the menu it was €3.30. Spille, dishonest, never seen such a thing. And the waitress didn't understand anything even though we spoke simple English.

This place is really great. The staff is super super friendly. I think the prices are appropriate for the taste.

It's a very stylish but usually crowded place in Meydan. The cold drinks are good but the breakfast options are limited.

Recommended for larger groups, even with children. Friendly and fast, nice children's corner, good for vegetarians. Gladly again.

The milkshake and iced chocolate was very tasty. We were served quickly and friendly by the service person Masud. The ambience is fine. The noise level is quite high even though the cafe was only half full. Price-performance is okay. We'd love to come back.

A huge breakfast buffet for little money

Very large selection at the breakfast buffet - I wouldn't have expected that at all on a Monday morning! It seems to be offered every day. The price is completely reasonable, the staff is very friendly and child-friendly (a high chair was brought straight away and the stroller was even stowed away). Everything was delicious and fresh – we would love to come back!

Had to wait forever for our order to be taken. Then it took another eternity until she brought 2 simple coffees and an ice cream scoop each, which were as small as a tablespoon. We won't come here anymore. Unfortunately there wasn't a cent tip for the service. That's just the way it is, poor performance, no tip.

We ate there as a family with our two kids. Even though there wasn't much going on (3 p.m.), the service took a long time before we could order. We only got the children's menu (a coloring and puzzle book combination) upon request and then it was already filled with. Food only came after 45 minutes. As I said, there was little going on. The salad was disappointing. Drinks as well - the lemonades read great, but are more water and mint than anything else. In a soda I had rosemary instead of mint - disgusting in the combination. The service just said that the bar was probably out of mint so they would have used rosemary. Honest!!! And don't you ask the guest beforehand before serving an alternative? The orange slices were completely missing. And the drinks are overpriced too. Overall I was pretty disappointed. The only good thing is the location on Münsterplatz.

Worst restaurant of all Extra Blatt stores. The owner just sits around and observes his employees in a very strange way. Us customers too. You actually want to eat in a relaxed manner, but that's not possible if you're constantly being watched. An employee left all the outdoor spaces untidy and while sorting the cutlery, she watched YouTube. Incredible! Food tastes okay, although the salads are mostly soggy. At least the toilets are clean. Back then the store was of respectable quality but this has really declined. It's too bad for me to spend my money there, but if you like it, you can still go there and waste your money! These are just my experiences. A pure disappointment the store…

Café right on Münsterplatz. Relatively loud and busy. There is not only cafe and cake but also smaller dishes. Due to high frequency service, constantly on the move. But orders come quite quickly. In addition to many seats inside, there are also many tables outside.

Good location right next to the cathedral. I stopped there after visiting the weekly market. Unfortunately I had to wait forever until I was asked what I wanted to order. The guests at the next table left because the waiting time was too long for them. I ordered a paella. Unfortunately the dish was disappointing. The rice was overcooked and the salad was served alongside the paella and tasted very bitter. The peppers were prepared in very large pieces. And you could tell that the lemon had been there for a while. I wasn't asked if I wanted anything else and everything was fine and if I hadn't spoken to someone at some point because no one came, I could have waited forever to pay. Too bad.

The drinks were excellent, the service quick, polite and effective. We were almost ripped off when it came to paying. Coincidence? Sneaky? No idea. It's actually a shame...

We were there for brunch. The buffet is very plentiful, with something for every taste. It was very crowded and also very loud - unfortunately. We had to wait a long time for service. In my opinion, there weren't enough waitresses there that day. We were there on a Saturday at 10 a.m. and all the tables were already occupied. That's why it's recommended to make a reservation. But we'll definitely come again

I paid €7 for a handful of cum, and my colleague paid €7 for a 50ml drink + 200ml ice cubes. And one of the two sinks in the restroom doesn't work.

I think I'm crazy, you pay €7 for a drink (ice) that contains 90% ice! A disaster.

The buffet breakfast was okay, with a little less variety than the average hotel breakfast. The croissant was delicious, the fries were few, and the coffee wasn't very good. Cards can be swiped.

Definitely recommended. The ambiance is simply fantastic. Enjoy the food, too. You don't need anything else.

5.75 € for an apple spritzer, that's not possible, it's beyond reasonable limits. Then twice with my partner. If the DM is no longer there, that would be the equivalent of €11.50 to DM 23.00. As nice as the restaurant is, this price gouging won't work in the long run. This is sad and a real shame.

We are a group that occasionally goes to the Extrablatt to eat on Wednesday evenings after our training, so far we have always been satisfied! Today we were there again and some of us like to eat the crust there! What we all immediately noticed today was the small portion of French fries!!!! One of us even said: The small portion of fries at McDonald's is bigger!!! So far and also last week, the filling side dish with the fried potato sticks was always much larger. We immediately complained about this to the service staff and asked: What was going on today and we should ask the kitchen why the portion today was so pitiful and modest!! There was actually an honest answer! We were probably the last group to eat this evening around 9:15 p.m. and it wouldn't have been worth it to tear open a new big bag of fries especially for us, we had ordered 4 x the crust with fries! Yes, the answer was honest, but of course in no way hospitable or customer-oriented, because we paid the regular price! Question: In the catering industry, are you not allowed to close a newly opened bag of frozen fries with a clip and put it back in the freezer and offer it the next day??? So, today there was a very, very big negative point for the Ulmer Extrablatt. 👎🏼

Despite a reserved table, we had no space. We reserved a table at 10am on a Saturday. The store was full to the brim (football game). I told the waitress that I had made a reservation for four people and gave my last name, but it wasn't on the list (at least it was written down incorrectly). The waitress told us to wait until a table was available. Waited 10 minutes until a small table became available. This was then not cleared for the next 5-10 minutes. We went to the weekly market instead. I enjoyed visiting there, but from today on I will avoid it.

Right on Münsterplatz. Very friendly staff. Large selection of delicious dishes also for vegetarians. Delicious cocktails also non-alcoholic. My favorite are the homemade lemonades. Absolutely recommended. By the way, Café Extrablatt m is also available in many other cities.

Unfortunately there is still a lot to improve. There is a lot of noise indoors when there is a lot of activity. Some of the service staff seem uncoordinated and I think €4.50 for a latte is excessive.

Great breakfast would be happy again

I have to be honest: we've already been there for breakfast and have been there twice now for coffee, but every time I get cake there I'm disappointed, the cheesecake didn't taste like anything and the pieces are, in my opinion, much too small for almost €5.

Chripy Chicken Burger was just Chrispy, nothing else. Two thin slices of breaded chicken, so heavily fried that it was far too dark and dry. Only breading, there wasn't much to taste of the meat. Chicken Chrispys with fries was exactly the same chicken product as on the burger, so no nuggets, just dark, dry slices. The whole thing served in one basket!!. How are you supposed to cut that?? Plus cold, fluffy fries without salt that taste like they've been kept warm for 2 hours. The iced coffee looks really nice, but tastes like a disaster... soggy, tasteless waffle, sour coffee and cheap ice cream. For the "cheap" lunch...small chicken schnitzel with a handful of fries for 10.95 euros, the ketchup is charged an extra 1 euro...that's it for good!!

We each ate the scrambled eggs with bacon and a latte macchiato. A large portion and very tasty. The buffet looked good too. Very friendly and fast service. Gladly again.

It is very loud and not at all pleasant, especially when having breakfast, you stand in the middle of the room while you are waiting for the table and usually disturb the people and even the staff. There is no proper organization and the tables are placed far too close together and you cannot hear the person opposite without getting louder instead of talking pleasantly to each other!

We were having breakfast today. The selection is very large, which is why I give it 5 stars in all areas

The buffet was very rich and was always refilled as soon as it ran out. It is highly recommended, but you should reserve early if you want to have breakfast there on the weekend.

Breakfast buffet lovingly set up. Everything is there for the sweet and savory palate and is also refilled. You can feel the ambition to be good in many little things and you live up to this standard there. The price-performance ratio for the buffet is great. However, after I drank 2 soft drinks for almost 12 euros, the Swabian in me came through. We then drank at home 🥴

Admittedly it was very busy, but there was a very long wait for the food (more than 30 minutes) and also a long wait to pay. The food was luke warm. You can expect more for a restaurant chain.

Cafe Extrablatt in Ulm's pedestrian zone is always worth a visit. We like to sit upstairs by the window and eat - we especially like the salads! - and service always excellent. Even with a killer amount of traffic in the cafe. That's how it has to be!

I recently visited Café Extrablatt in Ulm and had the all-you-can-eat breakfast, which was a great experience. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, and everything was really nice. The waitress was very friendly and polite, adding to the positive atmosphere. At 15.50€ per person, the price was very reasonable for the quality and variety. I’d definitely recommend it for a relaxing breakfast!

Last Saturday (December 14th, 2024 - around 7:20 p.m.), after a lovely visit to the Christmas market in Ulm, my girlfriend and I visited Café Extrablatt to end the evening with a few drinks. Unfortunately, towards the end of our visit we had to experience a very unpleasant situation, which I would like to describe here. The incident: After we had comfortably ordered and drank two beers, we wanted to leave after about an hour. I had already paid and before we wanted to leave the café we both had to use the toilet again. First I went to the toilet and returned to our table. While I was waiting for my friend, who was also using the restroom, something happened that really surprised me: Suddenly four ladies stood next to our table, and one of them even sat down on the chair where my friend was previously sitting. I spoke to the ladies and they explained that one of the waitresses in a white shirt had shown them the table because we had supposedly paid and wanted to leave. However, I strongly suspect that the "go" came from another waiter - a gentleman with a full beard and short feet who didn't seem particularly friendly during our stay. Response from the operator: I find it a complete disgrace that we as guests were harassed like this. My girlfriend wasn't back at this point, and we hadn't gotten our coats from the coat rack nor were we completely ready to leave. When I asked the waitress about the situation, he responded with a derogatory statement: "I'm not the police, and it's not my job to react to the behavior of the guests." For me, this is completely unacceptable. If it is his job to assign tables to new guests, then he should also ensure that such unpleasant situations do not arise in the first place. Conclusion: Unfortunately, our lovely evening was greatly marred by this incident. I expect from a café like Extrablatt that guests are treated with respect and don't feel like they're being pushed out before they've actually left. The staff should be more careful to ensure that tables are only released to new guests once the previous guests have actually left the café. Respectful interaction should always come first. In particular, the waiter with a full beard and short feet should set an example of friendlier behavior, as I had the impression that the “go” for changing tables came from him.

I was here today, me and my family come to Extrabkatt at the same time, a gentleman makes it clear to me that another family has Corrang. When asked he tells me that they were there first. I told him that we were there at the same time, the other family just left and I turned right. He told me that he is the manager here and has a monopoly. As I noticed, the other family was larger, here it's all about making money, in this store it's purely arbitrary who comes first. Nobody here is interested in dealing with the customer. I cannot recommend this store with its manager. That's discriminatory.

The owner chases us away from our seat and throws a full ashtray into the crowd! We sang, but we weren't drunk, just a little loud, he came and said go away! No please no request to be quieter or anything else!!!!! And then the thing with the ashtray, that doesn't work at all! Toilets are clean 👍

I can't say anything about the food because we only drank coffee, but everything was fine, friendly staff, nice employees. Gladly again

Worst butter pretzel ever. The pieces of butter stuffed into a warm mini baked pretzel melted out in a 2cm long cut. Meanwhile, the rest was left in the sauce for a salad garnish. Comments on the protest: shrug.

Make cafe beans in drink and a hair and service doesn't come

Were in Ulm again today and a visit here has always been firmly planned. The food was, as always, very tasty. And even though it was busy because of the Christmas market, the conditions were super friendly and quick.

Normally we are more and more satisfied with everything, but this time we were very disappointed. Friends invited us to breakfast on Friday. The breakfast buffet was quite good for the price, some of the bacon was cold. But overall it was ok for the price. The service wasn't really there interested to ask if we would like another coffee, they prefer to talk to each other. When it came to paying we had to wait forever until our responsible waitress came to collect us, not even asking if everything was fine It was ok, except that you can't pay by card at the moment. Well, not really enthusiastic about it. We'd rather stay true to the evening ambience, everything was always great. Most of the time we had a young man who served us, you could tell he was enjoys his work.

I've been to the breakfast buffet several times now. The ambience is nice, slightly American, cozy, large outdoor terrace with a direct view of Ulm Minster. The buffet offers a lot of choice: bread, rolls, pretzels, croissants, butter, spreads, jam, Nutella, sausage, cheese, white sausage (only on Sundays), pork, orange juice, fruit, vegetables, scrambled eggs, bacon, mini meatballs, fried eggs , hard eggs, mini pancakes, mini pudding rolls, mini dounats, red and green jelly pudding, gummy bears. Don't know if I forgot something. Fried eggs and pancakes tend to be a little cold; the warming plate cannot get through every layer of the stack. But that's just a small subtraction of the whole thing. You have to pay extra for warm or other drinks, which is completely okay given the price (Mon-Fri €12.95, Sat/Sun €15.95) of the buffet. I'll definitely come back.

Very crowded with tables/chairs. despite buffet reservation with !5! Kids we got a table that was quite far away from the children's corner. It's great that something like this even exists for the little ones - but I also have to be able to supervise them - unfortunately I don't have eagle eyes. The waiter didn't come to the table to take our order for a whopping 15 minutes, even though there wasn't much going on. Food is varied, even for Muslims (tasty Mennemen!) where you don't always have to pay attention to what's in it.

We really enjoy being at Café Extrablatt! They are all very friendly and you get the things you ordered very quickly. We really like eating something with sweet potatoes and waffles with cherries because they are so delicious. And the quality of the food is great. We can only recommend the café.

It's a nice restaurant overlooking Münster's square. I've been there before. This time I went for the open buffet breakfast. It was very nice and sufficient.

Long waiting times, then unfriendly service. Also at the neighboring table :-) Take your time to look around. There are smaller cafés around Münsterplatz with great service and food ;-)
