I ordered 3 different desserts on different days, I was completely disappointed, the desserts are not fresh, the cake is as dry as a cracker, the cheesecake is not fresh, the service, unfortunately, is not great at all, there are many visitors, there is not enough staff, they forgot about the order, the cup was dirty, covered in lipstick. I'm disappointed

Please correct your opening hours on google They close at 12:00 am but we left at 10:35 pm and the employee told us the opening hours are done by google, thanks

Service leaves a lot to be desired. It's been 22 minutes since the waiters noticed us. The reason was not the amount of work, but the amount of small talk between the waiters. Ambiance was okay. A little more white wouldn't hurt.

The breakfast is quite good, a lot to choose from, €13 a week + coffee costs. Sitting outside isn't bad either, unfortunately many smokers always have to smoke outside. Well, anywhere else but having breakfast outside isn't such a hit.

Had an extensive brunch outside on the terrace. Nice buffet, where the fish was not replenished. My tip is to remove both the empty bowl and the tags from the fish. Then it won't stand out. But there was still nothing to complain about the offer. I had the impression that it is also a meeting place for locals on Sunday mornings. It is also unlimited in time, in theory you could stay there all morning

A good, spacious restaurant. A rich breakfast buffet is on offer. I would have liked a little more choice when it came to the rolls (2 types). Cold cuts of cheese and sausage were plentiful. Mett, eggs, scrambled eggs pure, with Cushuk, or bacon everything included, great. Like smoked salmon trout. Hot drinks such as coffee in various types were available for an additional charge and were not included in the buffet. I found the prices for the hot drinks far too high for my taste! There was a lot more on offer to eat from the buffet, the taste was excellent and we were all full. The team was extremely friendly and helpful, thank you again ❤️ If you don't consume too much coffee or the like, you can keep your stay and the buffet under control and enjoy the morning. The breakfast buffet is great, everything is fresh, there is a lot of choice and the food is regularly replenished. On weekdays the selection is a little smaller. However, in my opinion the price of the drinks is a bit too high.

We were here for breakfast in the Extrablatt. This is really recommended, the buffet offers everything possible, everyone will find something there. The location at the Alter Markt is excellent, you can also sit outside very well. The staff was very friendly and attentive! We had a great morning - thank you very much!

The best extra sheet here in the area especially the breakfast is just great.

We arrived at 10:10 p.m. and were immediately told that it was the first and last drink we could order. Then the lights are simply turned on and the waiter comes to our table without us calling him and says €19.35, I pay with €50 and get €30 back. I didn't specifically say he should do €20 because I want the service thought it was so bad and he simply rounded himself up and gave himself a tip, so I've never experienced that before. Was the first and last time I come here ;)

Had a nice lunch here today with colleagues, location, atmosphere and food was good. Service was quick and efficient and staff were very pleasant. would definitely recommend for lunch.

Café Extrablatt in Mönchengladbach is a solid place for food and drink at any time. We were here for breakfast, but decided against the buffet and ordered a la carte. The scrambled eggs were made from whole eggs, but they tasted good, although they were a little too salty. The forgotten bacon was quickly added. The cafe specialties were fine. The service was sometimes quick and nice, sometimes a bit clumsy and forgot further orders. I round up 3.5 stars to 4 because overall we felt comfortable.

Quite okay. The staff could be nicer. Also the boss we had to deal with once. The food is good. At the breakfast buffet, Andrea Mett was served more than usual. It tasted very sour and almost spoiled, even though it wasn't. There is a play area, which is really great. However, this could be designed more lovingly.

So the breakfast buffet is great! Large selection and delicious food. Nevertheless, some waiters unfortunately didn't get to know each other politely. What a pity. They take the tip for granted and if they don't get it, they throw the change on the table without saying thank you. And this has happened several times. Fun fact: you have to earn the tip.

Very nice operation, very spacious, the European Championship games are also running. You can sit comfortably together indoors, but also outside. The food was very tasty and the menu in the form of a newspaper made a very good impression. The selection of food and drink was quite large, but everyone should be able to find their way around.

Breakfast buffet very good. The friendliness of the team must be positively emphasized!!! Negative: Volume, noise level, that could be better! And unbearably warm. I bet at least 24°. And the long wooden bench in the middle of the restaurant would have been an instrument of torture in the Middle Ages.

The smell is in the room. Something urgently needs to change. Ventilation or at least open the door to the outside.

It was pleasant to find a seat inside in the rain without prior notice... the service and the food were great. The flexibility when ordering is perfect. Vegetarian dishes can clearly be found. All in all, a great meal in a pleasant atmosphere. Gladly again!

Unfortunately, the buffet is set up in such a way that it is incredibly narrow and uncomfortable. Outside of the breakfast buffet (which is very good), the rooms and the outdoor area are great. Unfortunately, I find everything very expensive these days and I would be in favor of tea and filter coffee being included in the price of the buffet

Both schnitzels had very good and tasty portions. Staff friendly and nice. Ambience inside very inviting, outside seat cushions would be great for all chairs.

Wonderful facility! Rather inconspicuous from the outside, but when you go inside you see the true size! The staff is attentive, friendly, accommodating. Prices are also completely reasonable. If I ever end up in Mönchengladbach again, I will definitely come back there.

We had breakfast here on Sunday and were unfortunately very disappointed. We ordered a la carte and had to wait an hour for our food, only to find that our food was served on the next table. The waitress ignored every speech and ignored us. We were then served our food by our neighbors on our own. We had to get our own cutlery from the cutlery box inside. There's a cafeteria feeling! The food was perfectly fine

Very nice Café Extrablatt. This was the second time I've been there for breakfast and I'm very satisfied after this second visit. The buffet offered there is plentiful and varied. There is something for both meat lovers and vegetarians. You can put together both a hearty and a sweet breakfast yourself. I deducted one star from Eesen because I would have liked a little more fresh vegetables and fruit. Otherwise everything was very good and recommended.

A good restaurant in itself. Unfortunately you cannot reserve a table for the evening. With 5 guests this will be a difficult undertaking. Then we'd better go somewhere else. It's a shame actually. Today we got a table, unfortunately the service wasn't very attentive.

We always enjoy going here. The service is super attentive and friendly. The ambience invites you to linger. We regularly have breakfast there at our network meetings. Anyone who doesn't get enough here still has to be found!

Very unfriendly and unprofessional staff!

You need to check your bill and remember what you ordered and for how much. For example: a cocktail and sweet potatoes cost me 21 euros, which does not correspond to the price. Cocktail 9.45, you get a portion of potatoes in a triangle for 11.55. Euro. The cocktails were weak, there was no rum to be heard. And instead of a lemon slice, there was a lemon peel. Disappointed in this cafe.
