I was here in the Extrablatt with a friend. We are positively impressed, the food was very tasty, the service was great and the atmosphere is super nice, you can only feel comfortable there. I can't understand the negative reviews and that's why I can't be put off by them, you always have to make up your own mind. We will definitely come back!!!!!

The café is really beautiful and individually decorated. It offers many cozy corners where you can chat and eat undisturbed. Went there for breakfast and it was delicious and well priced.

Disappointing service and poor hospitality We wanted to have a drink at the Extrablatt around 11 p.m., even though the shop wasn't supposed to close until midnight. There was almost nothing going on inside or outside, most of the places were empty. Just as we wanted to sit down outside, the waiter came and told us straight away that it had already been the last round. It seemed as if the employees simply wanted to close early because they didn't feel like working anymore. Something like this is unacceptable for a restaurant that is actually open until midnight. If you don't enjoy your work or aren't prepared to wait until the end to serve your guests, it might be better to choose another career. We were very disappointed and will not go back.

We tried to have lunch here today (10/14/2024) around 1:00 p.m. OK, it's a big store. But........ 3 tables were occupied inside and 5 tables outside were occupied (counted when leaving the cafe). We had to wait over 15 minutes before anyone even noticed us (we were sitting in the middle of the cafe) until a waiter/waiter came to us and asked about the drinks. Since we had plenty of time beforehand, we already knew what we wanted to eat. Then it was said: we don't have this and we don't have that either..... oh yes, and that's not for sale either,......sorry! The SORRY was late, but it came. Consequence: we got up and looked for another restaurant. Luckily, Hanover has enough restaurants. P.S.: at least 1 waiter and a waitress were there! But chatting with the gentleman/colleague behind the counter (who, by the way, was just strolling around with his arms crossed behind his back, unamused) may have been immensely important for the staff at that moment; but it is detrimental to business! Everyone as they like......... I had enough of so much ignorance. Never again!

I was there today and the waitress walked past us every time and didn't even serve us. We sat there for 15 minutes and no one came. Since no one came, we countered.

Racist waiter. My girlfriend and I were in this restaurant on the evening of October 4th and ate for 49 euros. We left around 10pm and my friend left her jacket somewhere. When she politely returned to ask about the jacket, she was completely ignored, rudely thrown out, and met with eye rolls and racist gestures. There were two male employees there - one billed us normally, and the other stood at the door around 10 p.m. and made strange looks and gestures. So it was pretty clear that we wouldn't be able to find the jacket anymore... The jacket isn't worth much, but if you forget something here, you'll probably get the “racism package” right away.

We were there with a large group of 14 people, which, as expected, can always be a challenge in the catering industry. Murat's service was great! He tried hard and was very patient with us. Gladly again! 👍🏼

Happy hour in the “Extrablatt”. We (60+) were on a short vacation in Hanover and came across this restaurant by chance. Great atmosphere, unfortunately one point deducted because of the loud music on Friday and Saturday. Today on Sunday the volume was appropriate. Top staff overall with Murat at the forefront, we were looked after fantastically during our “nightcap”.

Very chic cafe, bistro, bar. The red light lamps made it very pleasant to sit. Food was OK. The waitress would have liked to have asked for drinks more often. But overall a nice evening. The environment takes some getting used to, but the café can't help that.

Service speaks German poorly, and you can tell that there are no trained service staff - the coffee + latte macchiato were both cold when they were brought to the table - no, it wasn't full, on the contrary.....!!! Food was delicious, can't complain! But hey, dear extra paper, your service staff should be better trained, honestly 🙏 She wanted to clear away half of the food even though I was still eating... Boss complains to his employees in front of the guests! My first and last visit!

For many years I put up with the lousy service from ANOTHER branch until I paid a visit to THIS branch last Saturday. Opposites cannot be greater; The guest room, terrace and sanitary area are scrupulously clean, the service is excellent, i.e. attentive but unobtrusive. The smile with which I was served my coffee today started my day on a positive note. There is a great team here. I had gotten into the habit of having a late, warm breakfast at the OTHER branch at least once a week and also meeting my occasional evening appointments there, but I will now move all of this to the extra paper at the Marstall; my personal environment is already informed. My thanks go to the team who let me experience quality time on my visits - four so far. Until these days, Mick August 2024: Unfortunately, with the change in the team, the quality of service spontaneously decreased. As regular customers, my wife and I recently sat in the almost empty restaurant for 20 minutes before we decided to leave without having accomplished anything. During my visit today, I asked the waitress about it, but the exaggerated reaction that followed made me feel, to say the least, like I was being taken for a ride. We sat here with several people and two ordered bowls. The waiter swapped the bowls and after a while my friend got the right one. Despite the waiter's mistake, I should still pay for my incorrectly received bowl. And because all that wasn't enough, we had to wait forever for the waiter to even serve us.

First there was the long wait for a Cola Zero, even though everyone else had already had their drinks, and then the food was assigned incorrectly. If you're overwhelmed because there's no staff, I understand, but then the waiters should at least know which dish they're carrying. Still had to eat the wrong bowl (since it was stirred & you should know what hummus is) and pay for it. It doesn't work at all, it was the first and last time!

The service is a disaster. You are ignored and I waited 20 minutes for a coke. The glass with the ice cubes was already given to me, so the ice cubes had melted until the cola was formed. In addition, my food was cold (schnitzel). Unfortunately I had to give one star...

We wanted to eat and drink something here. Most of the seats outside and inside were unoccupied. At the beginning a waitress came and took our drink order. When asked if there should be anything else, I said that we also wanted to order something to eat. Meanwhile the waiter turned and left and was never seen again. After our order came after 15 minutes (brought by someone else), I told this waitress that we wanted to order some more food. There was no response to that other than a nod. We waited another 20 minutes and tried in vain to contact the waitress from the beginning. Failed. I ended up going to the counter to get the bill. Not recommended if you're hungry. The interior looks nice though.

Ratings for today - bad, worse...it doesn't get any better!!! We are, oh no, regular guests. We had dinner there today. I received my food with rancid mayo - I complained about this and was told it was the same mayo as my sister's...you could tell it wasn't like that. The second cellar brought me the rancid mayo with a dab of fresh mayo - ugh. The lady behind the counter brought fresh mayo. One thing to complain about is the freshness of the food (which it obviously wasn't). The two waiters were unreasonable and the service was very poor. Never again !!! There are many other cafés in Hanover. The café (which belongs to the hotel) opposite the train station is worth highlighting. It is very excellent and, among other things, excellent food and the service is unique!!! Not to be compared with the extra sheet. It's a shame that there are no minus points for the extra sheet. The food was a total disappointment! Dry, even the bacon that came with the fried egg was charred! It was missing pieces, because the iron/pan probably got stuck 😓. The waiter another pearl. Very unfriendly! My friend asked for two sauces for her fries and they brought her the wrong one. When she claimed one of the sauces that was not correct, the waiter began to discuss what she told him. That he remembers perfectly what she told him! My friend replied that she is also sure she knows what she said, but that she doesn't care right now, she wants me to change one of the sauces and that's it. The guy took one of the sauces, repeating to say: it wasn't his mistake, because he remembers perfectly what she ordered 😑. Another waitress asked her if she could order one more drink, and she replied that she didn't know, so she should call our waiter. Well, he didn't call the waiter or give me the drink, he stayed chatting with the other waitress about nonsense! Little desire to work is what I had! A disaster, really.

The restaurant is set up much like the others in the chain and is quite nice. The food is like the other restaurants and the selection of vegan dishes is good and my vegan schnitzel was tasty. The service was either new or not yet well established, as the service was somewhat chaotic and uncoordinated.

Very good place to spend evening for both couples and family, very good service and good food, atmosphere is the best, would recommend.

We ordered the chicken schnitzel with Champions frame sauce, the schnitzel was OK but the Champions frame sauce was borderline. A Coke was ordered and no one asked whether it was small or large.

Located near the Rotlichtm... But what you hardly notice. The service here is quickly overwhelmed and orders are forgotten and delivered incorrectly. Not just with us. I got a moldy piece of cake (on the side), unfortunately I didn't notice it until relatively late. I then pointed this out to the service person. No apology, nothing. I would prefer to give 0 stars. The experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. After ordering my fries, I had to wait an incredible 20 minutes before they were finally served. As if that wasn't enough, I was also brought the wrong sauces, which resulted in another 5 minute wait. The waitress seemed to completely ignore us, and to top it off, our glasses were uncomfortably warm. Overall, the service was slow and disinterested, and the quality of the experience left much to be desired. I definitely won't be coming back. ALL TO 6 SENSES!!!

Anyone who comes with a coffee to-go cannot stay and eat there. Even if they order drinks. I think that's absurd.

I can only report on the afternoon offerings (i.e. coffee & cake). What was chosen was very good. The café-restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, a wide range of food and is definitely on my plan again when I am back in Hanover.

I was drinking a cocktail there with my girlfriend on February 10, 2024 and she was drinking a café. Our table was very stained and I asked the service to wipe our table. He took out his rag and it smelled so disgusting that my girlfriend and I could hardly breathe 🤮! It was so unhygienic that we couldn't even realize if it was possible that such a stench clouded the room... But unfortunately it was the case 😓. We felt uncomfortable for what felt like 10 minutes because we couldn't breathe out of our noses. I find it outrageous that someone had to experience something like that in a café and, to be honest, I'm not sure whether I would ever want to go through that again. I am deeply disappointed by this and would like a plausible explanation for it, because I still haven't been able to understand what happened to us with my girlfriend.

Sometimes going out to eat is an adventure. Ordered: a large water and a pizza with salami and jalapenos. received a bottle of water and a pizza without jalapenos. After briefly complaining, they seriously threw a handful of raw and cold jalapenos onto the pizza. and explained to me that's how you do it. After 10 minutes of discussion, the pizza was put back in the oven for me. the whole thing for 22€. Thanks, I don't need it anymore.
