2nd time here. Beautiful decor. Same friendly service. Great atmosphere. Reminds me of going out with friends back home in US. I'm really enjoying this cafe/restaurant. Great place to just have a drink.

The food was very tasty. The employee Maxime was very friendly and accommodating. We didn't have to wait long at all for our order to arrive. a very nice cafe. There will definitely be further visits.

Been there for two. Food tasted okay. Pizza-like things were at least lukewarm, pulled turkey burgers and fries were just at room temperature. Service friendly, terrace cozy. Price/performance but not given. If you want to have a cool drink on the terrace and maybe have a snack, you're in good hands there. Not recommended as a restaurant for good food. This was the second visit within 6 months, both of which were far from "it was great".

We were here for the second time. As always, burgers are good and service is too. However, it is very busy on weekends, which leads to stress for the staff. The starter is then brought after the main course. However, you shouldn't overestimate the food. Other restaurants do burgers well too. Prices slightly exaggerated. Unfortunately, the reviews about the long wait for a waiter are true. We were just there. Quite well occupied on the outside, almost no one on the inside. We were told we could choose where we wanted. So we went to a table inside, looked through the menu and nothing happened... Unfortunately, 30 minutes after we sat down, there was still no one at the table. Instead, 5 employees milled around behind the counter, but no one came. We therefore drove to a more distant Café del Sol, where we were much friendlier and had both the waiter and our drink in our hands within 7 minutes. In any case, this is not customer-friendly. I'd rather leave my money in another Café del Sol that treats customers as such.

Actually a nice restaurant, but brunch buffet for €19.50 per person without drinks?! In my opinion this is at least €5 too expensive... The buffet is large and varied. However, it is sometimes a bit noisy in the room, which is why you have to speak louder. Only 3 stars due to poor price-performance ratio

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is absolutely not the same. The food was very disappointing and really expensive... but the service was really great!

Very good service... very tasty drinks, food is freshly prepared, breakfast was delicious and there were even warm rolls. I had an appointment for a business meeting. We were able to find a quiet corner for an undisturbed conversation.

Nice and tasty! Unfortunately, breakfast on Sundays costs just under 20 euros per person. Buffet too expensive, and without drinks. Unfortunately, a simple breakfast cannot be ordered. Had to switch to another café. 😐

We met very friendly waitresses. The cake was delicious and the coffee with it was fine. The sanitary facilities were also very well maintained.

Not like earlier! There were five of us with a 4 year old child. Drink was forgotten, pizza was forgotten. No children's meals!!!! Food was ok. Unfortunately, service was only one ⭐️ because it was very late. It's a shame... it was our last time there!

Went here for the breakfast buffet on a Saturday. The food was super tasty and there was a very large selection! What was positive was that even shortly before the buffet officially closed, all the dishes were still being refilled. In addition, the price is relatively cheap. Nice outside seating and consistently friendly waitresses. Absolutely to suggest!

On the whole, the Sunday breakfast buffet is not bad, which is to be expected at a price of €19.50 (without coffee). Bill: buffet and 2 coffees: €26.30. The staff is friendly.

I've been eating here about every two months for several years now and I really like it! The staff is friendly and accommodating, the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and the music is at just the right volume. There is a lot to choose from on the menu and the schnitzel holidays are awesome! What always makes me particularly happy is that the waitresses are always grateful for their tips. Elsewhere it is often taken for granted.

I definitely recommend it. The service is very nice. The food is very tasty and I I feel very comfortable here ☆☆☆☆☆

Generally a nice place, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right. I ordered a large Cesar's Chicken Salad (€10.90, WITHOUT meat) and a portion of grilled chicken (€4.90) and honestly I had 4 small pieces of chicken, with a lot of croutons and slices of bread. When I asked, I was simply told “the portions are all the same”. Absolutely disproportionate.

Sunday with 7 people for brunch at Cafe del Sol in Mülheim/Ruhr. Cozy atmosphere, attentive, friendly service staff, very tasty selection at the breakfast buffet. At around 12 p.m. we wanted to move on to the warm food... unfortunately only lukewarm leftovers covered the bottoms of the three different food containers. A large number of guests went to the containers, looked in, looked at the counter, went back to their table. After we went to the counter and announced that there were no more hot dishes available, people murmured that we'd have to see, it was already pretty late. I'm sorry, what???!!! Brunch is offered from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., costs just under €20 WITHOUT drinks and the food is no longer refilled at 12:00 p.m.? Sorry but we'll probably look for another place!

Sonntag mit 7 Personen zum Brunch im Cafe del Sol in Mülheim/Ruhr. Gemütliche Atmosphäre, aufmerksames freundliches Servicepersonal, sehr schmackhafte Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet. Gegen 12.00 Uhr wollten wir dann zu den warmen Speisen übergehen … leider bedeckten nur noch lauwarme Reste die Böden der drei verschiedenen Speisencontainer. Eine hohe Anzahl an Gästen gingen zu den Container, schauten herein, schauten zur Theke, gingen wieder zu ihrem Tisch. Nachdem wir dann zur Theke gingen und mitteilten, dass keine warmen Speisen mehr zur Verfügung stünden, wurde gemurmelt, man müsse mal sehen, es wäre ja auch nun schon ziemlich spät. Wie bitte???!!! Brunch wird angeboten von 9.00 bis 13.00 Uhr, kostet knapp 20 € OHNE Getränke und um 12.00 Uhr werden die Speisen nicht mehr aufgefüllt? Sorry aber wir werden uns wohl nach einem anderen Lokal umsehen!

Unfortunately, I have experienced very inflexible behavior several times when it comes to food. Extrablatt, FincaBarcelona and other Café del Sol do this better. But the staff is friendly and there is enough parking space.

Actually a nice shop, but the service needs improvement. I had to wait a really long time to order and didn't get any assistance, even though it was clearly visible from the bar that I cleaned my table intensively with a napkin. The waitresses were busy "hovering" around the presumed service manager sitting at the bar. About the food: Although it says "We are Pinsa!" in large letters, I am of the opinion that the Café Del Sol-Pinsa has nothing to do with a real Pinsa.

We ate here with our children and the food was very, very tasty. Unfortunately, our waitress didn't quite come out of his hibernation and we had to keep going to the counter to order something. What remains in my memory for a long time is the waitress, who was apparently not happy with herself (0 stars for service for her), who loudly shouted “Jesus Christ” and was upset that I probably had no patience with the waiter Wait, who was responsible for our table area and stood at the counter to take another order. Since our waitress was still pretty nice and professional and didn't show anything, we left him an above-average tip - as an incentive for improved speed in the future😅 Unfortunately, we will never eat there again just because of this one service. Since I worked at Café del Sol myself, I have to say I was very disappointed with the service. Starts with the order. - Children's menu was not offered although it was immediately clear that you wanted to order food with a small child. - Then the cocktail wasn't made according to the standard, only after we pointed out that the grenadine was missing. - The main course was served with a starter, then immediately when it was served we asked if everything was good with the meal - Tips are boldly pointed out when paying. I'm wondering if it's normal that things no longer work according to standard, I was taught differently

Super nice, fast service. The food is typical of Systemgastro. I think the pinsa is too expensive for its size, instead of cutlery there was a ✂️...well... But had a really nice evening.

It was a great breakfast, we had a table even though we hadn't reserved. I was happy with the price because I had stomach surgery. The only drawback for me was that it was too loud, but everything else was GREAT

Great place for good food! It's not on the cheap side, but they've got a great selection of homemade lemonades and iced teas as well as a great range of foods for vegans, vegetarians and meat lovers alike. It's all well made and was really really nice! The only thing that isn't great is the acoustics of the place and the fact that they have the music on quite loud. It's really loud and hard to have a relaxed conversation because of it. In the summer it's a bit better, though, as they have a really nice patio area and the noise isn't that bad out there, so that's what I recommend. Some of the chairs outside aren't very curvy people friendly, as they have these sides that dog into your bum a bit. There are other seating options though, but it's something that annoys me a bit sometimes. All in all, it's a great place to get some yummy food or grab a couple of fancy cocktails with friends. They also offer a great brunch/breakfast buffett, but you need to reserve in advance as it's always quite full. (Good places usually are.😉)

Unfortunately, some of the dishes (11 people) were cold or they were frozen products. Pinsa very good. The supply of drinks could also have been quicker. Nevertheless, the staff is to be praised. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Friendly service, I had expected more from the food, for me personally this café chain is too big, too crowded and therefore almost always too loud. (Majority decision 🙃)

We oldies, 6 girls, met there. Staff was very attentive. Drinks and food were served quickly.

With the sausages and also the salmon, you could see that it had been out there for too long, so maybe you couldn't put it all out at once. Otherwise it was great again

We were there for brunch. The bread selection is clear. The breakfast buffet is rich and tasted very good. The warm buffet is very clear. There are no side dishes such as pasta or rice. Just Quiona. Some of the food was really spicy. There is no indication, especially if children eat with you. The service seemed a bit overwhelmed and wasn't really friendly. It's a shame because the atmosphere is really nice and invites you to linger. My conclusion: great atmosphere. Delicious breakfast . Bread types expandable. Warm buffet disappointed. Service could be more motivated.

Food: apart from the brunch buffet for around 20€, which was unfortunately out of the question for us due to time constraints, we unfortunately only got 2 types of “Schnittchen”. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't respond at all to the comment that the variant offered there was unfortunately not possible for health reasons. A pity. Since four waiters were sitting there chatting, the problem couldn't have been too much work. We then ordered a latte macchiato. Conclusion: expensive, but inedible because it is much too thin. It only tasted like frothed (oat) milk, and it also tasted completely dull - which is not the case when I order the drink in another restaurant. Service: unmotivated to bored. Location: nicely furnished, but unfortunately far too loud. We've been to Café del Sol several times before, but this was just terrible. Once and never again.

The café is very poorly managed, very disorganized and the waiters talk to the guests in a completely antisocial and rude manner because they are simply overwhelmed. That was definitely my last visit there!!!

This shop is impossible. You wait 2 hours. You're constantly told your food is coming and then you're made to wait even longer. Then the food comes from one person and not from the others at all. Very very unprofessional. Never again. I would give 0 stars but unfortunately that's not possible!

Lots of choice and the burger with fries and the iced tea were super tasty. Unfortunately we were assigned a table where we sat with our backs in the outside door and it was quite drafty. It wasn't possible to move because everything was occupied and the table barely fit there. It's a shame, but 1 star deducted for the ambience. Otherwise it's very nice there! There was good music playing, the waiters were often around and you could order something at any time. Despite the fact that it was full, it didn't take very long to drink and eat.

I know Café del Sol from Krefeld. While the quality has lost a lot in Krefeld, you are in good hands on the city limits of Essen. Optimal parking and delicious food. The volume takes some getting used to. Overall, definitely recommended.

Service was great, they let us chat in peace without constantly asking if we could have anything else. I couldn't have afforded that either because my decaffeinated oat milk coffee cost a whopping €5.5. And that where oat drink and milk now cost almost the same in the store. The café is also easy to reach by bike along the route.

Had dinner here with my wife. It was very crowded, but no problem thanks to prior reservations. The service was very friendly and drinks and food were brought to the table quickly. It certainly won't be the last time we come to Mühlheim again ;)

We were there for breakfast. Everything was fresh and plentiful. We ordered breakfast for two people and couldn't make it, even though my granddaughter also ate. The service was friendly.

The two of us wanted to have breakfast there at 11 a.m. on Shrove Monday. Lt. Breakfast is only available from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. We had to wait and the waitress came at 11:05am. We joked about whether we would get anything else. At first they said there were no more rolls. Then you can no longer have scrambled eggs etc. Then the waitress let the cat out of the bag. It is technically not possible to order breakfast products. I thought it was hidden camera and we left. The ambience is worth highlighting. We wouldn't have thought that system catering would be worse there than at McDonald's.

Yesterday I spontaneously went to a very full Café de Sol, service was super nice and friendly even though it was really quite busy. We were served quickly and the burger was very tasty. The ambience is just right, all age groups are represented and a successful, lovely evening

We were there again recently for breakfast and we would love to come back. It tastes good, the service is very friendly and the ambience is always good. However, dear Café Del Sol team, I have a small comment: if I, as a guest, ask for a clean plate before the food is brought, it is not nice to bring a second, equally dirty plate to the guest. It would have been enough to take a second, look over it, wipe it with a towel and I would have left as a guest 100% satisfied. It would be nice if, on my next visit, I didn't have the feeling of being a guest again and I don't care whether your plate is clean. This is not a loud criticism, hence the 5 stars, just a hint for improvement, you can do that, otherwise it's fine and that's why we're coming back.

The third time I've sat here, I've already left twice because of the waiting time and today I also had to wait 40 minutes until I got a menu even though I had already asked a waitress about it much beforehand. The food arrived totally cold and the portion was extremely small for the price. No, unfortunately I'm not satisfied at all.

The Cafe Del Sol is really good in terms of ambience and concept, especially with the outdoor area. Unfortunately, the service is quite slow and sometimes not very thorough when it comes to the completeness of orders and the request for further requests. The menu isn't very extensive, which doesn't matter if the main focus (pinsas, which I haven't tried yet) is done well. Unfortunately, everything around it, for example the burgers, is a little neglected. I think it would be good if, for example, the surcharges for side dishes were stated more clearly on the menu (burgers here come without fries as standard). The prices for drinks are a bit high, both soft drinks and cocktails.
