I've enjoyed the breakfast buffet and brunch here several times. The selection is huge; everyone can find something they like. Because of its size, it can get quite noisy when it's full, but it's manageable.

Delicious food, great price! Very cozy, nice atmosphere! Not expensive either! Highly recommended, we'll definitely go again when we're in the area 🥳

Things were much better in the past.

We had a cappuccino and a hot chocolate. Both tasted like nothing but water, a real dump.

A 15% service charge was added to our bill without us asking. We only noticed it because we asked for a receipt – otherwise, we wouldn't have seen it. We usually tip in cash. As far as I know, the customer decides how much to tip. When the card reader was brought to the table, it only showed us the final amount, without any option to select the tip ourselves.

We had our company Christmas dinner there with eight people. The food was delicious, and despite it being busy on a Saturday evening, everyone received their meals quickly. I would only suggest replacing the Sinalco Cola with Coca-Cola; I personally prefer the taste. ;) The staff was very friendly and attentive—great service! We'll definitely be back.

I've been there several times, but my last visit was truly disappointing. I arrived at 8 pm and sat down at a table. It wasn't very busy. After half an hour, I was finally served. Several customers had been served before me and arrived after. I had to get my own cutlery twice, as there wasn't any on the table at first, and when I ordered more schnitzel, the cutlery was taken away but no replacement was brought. To top it all off, no one even said goodbye after I paid, which capped off the entire poor service that evening.

The portions are large - the food is tasteless.

I can absolutely recommend Café del Sol! The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and inviting – you immediately feel at ease. I especially want to commend our waiter, Abdul: he was incredibly friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. Such friendly service makes the visit even more enjoyable! I will definitely be back.

The noise level during meals is simply too high. It's impossible to feel comfortable. Everything else is fantastic.

It won't be my favorite cafe, but it's a nice and convenient place to meet up now and then.

Superb service. We received a friendly welcome, and all the staff who served us were super nice. What I really liked was that my son wanted a croissant at 11 a.m., and the waitress was so kind and prepared one especially for my son, even though breakfast time was already over. Thank you so much for that.

Nice Cafe del Sol, but the food was absolutely not like the other locations. My Coke arrived first, and it just tasted like water and wasn't carbonated. Then my creme brulee arrived, and the caramel layer tasted absolutely burnt, which I didn't want to pay for. Very disappointing for such a good place. To be fair, the employees were very friendly and even brought me a new Coke after I pointed out the Coke was gone.

Café Del Sol is definitely recommended. It has a lovely ambiance and very friendly service. The food selection is perfectly adequate. We felt very comfortable.

If I could, I wouldn't give it a star at all. Once again, I let myself be persuaded to go to Cafe del Sol, even though I don't like the service or the food. And once again, it was confirmed that the people who work there apparently can't read or write. It took a while for someone to come to the table. I ordered a large Diet Coke or a sugar-free Sinalco and an iced tea. Let's ignore the fact that one of the dishes came wrong. But instead of the Diet Coke or a sugar-free Sinalco, I got a regular one. I didn't notice because I never drink Sinalco. There's a damn reason why people order a sugar-free Coke/Sinalco. Thank you for this unforgettable evening/night. I'll have this one now because of you. Because, as a diabetic, you gave me 500ml of regular Coke with sugar. Because your service isn't able to take the order correctly.

We were there for breakfast with eight people during the week. The service was excellent, and they even gave us good value for money. Since we were a mix of young and old, everyone was full and satisfied. So, top-quality breakfast.

Everything was great, great service and amazing food.

Not recommended for solo dining, but for couples or groups. You tend to get overlooked, even though I'm sitting quite centrally. Other locations in this restaurant group are more attentive. The outdoor area is inviting, and the outdoor seating is designed to be inviting. Some tables are a bit unkempt or dirty from previous guests (cigarette packs, used tissues, smeared table surfaces). I'll be looking for other spots to enjoy a quick cappuccino in the future. So, dates, meet-and-greets, or dining with family are certainly enjoyable—and eventful. I hope this was just an isolated incident.

Yes, the food was as advertised on the menu and I've always enjoyed it. The drinks were the same. The service staff was friendly and the restrooms were clean. We sat outside this time. I usually find the noise level to be between moderately loud and loud, but still good enough for a conversation.

What time are we living in? There wasn't a single vegan dessert, which is truly disappointing. A chain this large should definitely make sure to offer vegan options. I would strongly recommend adding at least one vegan dessert, such as a cake or something similar, to the menu. These days, people should be considerate of different diets.

We've been here several times for breakfast, and I have to say, we now like it better than Bar Celona. The prices are much cheaper than others. The service is very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a vacation in a southern country, and it's not overcrowded. All in all...we're satisfied.

I was at Café del Sol and I was absolutely thrilled. The staff is very, very kind and incredibly friendly. The food was delicious. We accidentally ordered the wrong thing, and the staff immediately understood and brought us a replacement without any argument. Service like this isn't something you can take for granted—absolutely top-notch!

We ate there again after a long time. First we got the wrong food, then both meals were served at different times. Schnitzel was in the fryer far too long. Only the service deserves 5 stars. A shame

One star, not because it wasn't tasty, but because the value for money is completely out of whack. Tiny portions at exorbitant prices, making you want to eat again at home. Service is friendly, it's tasty—nothing special, but solid. The portion sizes are truly outrageous, though. I recommend going to Café Leonardo downtown instead. Similar prices, but tastier and larger portions.

The staff is very inattentive; as a guest, you have to make yourself heard very clearly, and even then, it's difficult to order a drink or the bill, for example. The restrooms are dirty, and there's a shortage of paper. The food is okay, but the drinks (especially the *homemade* lemonades) are simply overpriced these days. We'll be avoiding this place in the future.

I don't know how they manage to make it so bad? "Luckily," it's tiny. Even more unpleasant. I arrived there at 11:35 a.m. At that time, you can't order food from the menu, including breakfast or anything similar, because they serve a buffet in the morning. However, it's only open until 12:00 p.m., and I don't see the point in paying full price for 20 minutes. So, as a customer, you have no reasonable option for getting something to eat at that time. Extremely strange. Consensus The server, Jenny, was very friendly and even asked the manager if you could order something from the menu. But she said no. She really tried hard. So, in summary: One big star for Jenny, zero stars for Café del Sol

I can now upgrade my application from 1 star three years ago to 5. The service has become first-class, and this time, for the first time, our 2-year-old daughter was there. They immediately offered a high chair and something to paint with. Perfect 🤩 you've convinced me. Service is possible 🙃

Since today, my last visit! Outrageously small quantities and extremely high prices for extra ingredients in salads and baby potatoes. 3 chicken strips and 1.5 quartered mushrooms, which were also burnt and inedible, at an exorbitant price. I asked the wait staff after serving if they were serious about selling one and a half baby mushrooms for about €3 as an additional side dish. She took the plate and came back 15 minutes later with burnt mushrooms. My companion had, of course, already finished eating by then. When I had only eaten the handful of baby potatoes and asked the waitress again if everything was okay, I told her that everything was burnt and inedible. She offered a brief apology, and then charged the full price of almost €23 for a latte macchiato and a handful of baby potatoes. It's enough to make you choke on it!!!! Customer service/satisfaction is out of the question here!!! If you want to throw your money out the window, you can order there or throw it directly into the Emscher River and watch it float away!!!

I have a schnitzel or something similar, breaded pressed meat. I can still remember when I advertised the schnitzel at Café Del Sol. Too bad that won't happen anymore.

A truly great place for food of all tastes. Whether you're a meat lover, vegetarian, or vegan, whether you're looking for a light bite or a full meal, you'll find what you're looking for here. The only downside for me was that breakfast is only served until 11 a.m. The service was prompt and very friendly, and the atmosphere on the terrace was truly lovely. I really liked the location inside too. I'll definitely keep this chain in mind!

The café is in a great location with lots of greenery, and has plenty of space both inside and outside. The food and drinks were delicious, and the service was quick and friendly. What we missed was a place for the kids to move around. A few outdoor play equipment and a play area inside would have made the ambiance perfect.

This was our second time here, and everything was perfect again! I can only recommend it.

I've been there for the first time in a long time. The food was very tasty. Both my wife and children found the portions to be more than enough. However, as a hungry man, you have to be careful what you're eating, as not every portion is enough. So I went for half a pint of sauerkraut plus one of the summer specials, which was fine. The taste was definitely delicious! One thing you might find unnerving as a non-smoker is that you might be bothered by cigarette smoke on the veranda outside, since smoking is apparently not prohibited there. Otherwise, everything was great.

A few days ago, I was at Café del Sol in Mülheim with a colleague – unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. I ordered the Thai curry with chicken. The food arrived cold. The waiter was friendly and offered to bring a new one – which I'd like to say is a positive – but the second dish was also simply disappointing in terms of taste. It tasted like a ready-made meal from the freezer, prepared without love – zero freshness, zero heart. My colleague's dish was even worse: There was an unidentifiable dark piece in his dish that looked like meat, but was totally weird. Truly unpleasant. I've had a stomach ache for the last three days since the visit – that simply can't be a coincidence. On the positive side: We didn't have to pay for the food – that was generous. But honestly: I will never eat there again. The place looks nice, but that doesn't help much when the food and quality are so poor. Unfortunately, I absolutely do not recommend it.

We opted for the pinsa. It came with scissors, but these weren't helpful, so we asked for cutlery. Unfortunately, the pinsa itself was far too dry for us.

We like to eat schnitzel here, which we usually enjoy (vegetarian and poultry options are available). However, the music inside has been so loud for some time now that it's almost impossible to have a conversation with your tablemate. It's not at all suitable for visitors with infants, as no consideration is given to that. Yesterday we ordered a burger with fries. The burger was very dry and unfortunately not as flavorful as expected. The Napoli, on the other hand, was very tasty and completely won us over. Unfortunately, the drinks only come with cardboard straws, which dissolve in the drink after about 15 minutes, especially in iced coffee, chocolate ice cream, and milkshakes.

Had a good evening. Great food. Seriously noisy though, the price reflects that.

Unfortunately, the food is just below average. We've tried several dishes and were never really satisfied. The bowls, for example, are tasteless and barely a treat...

Last Saturday, the three of us went to Cafe del Sol, Mülheim/Ruhr, for the first time. The offer is very extensive, the service is very friendly and very competent! Both the rooms and the table placement are very well thought out, which is very beneficial to the acoustic conditions. Only the filter coffee = colored water with a hint of coffee flavor - was a disaster and prevents me from visiting this restaurant again!!

Wow, that was great at Café del Sol in Mülheim! Super nice atmosphere, we could sit outside and I had the feeling of being in a well-kept southern diner. Soooo nice and attentive service and fast service. I just wanted a little snack and had the crème brûlée - a poem and super tasty! I would love to come back!
