Recommended, not just for eating schnitzel. A place to feel good. I'd love to come back

A great restaurant, we can only recommend it. Whether you want to have brunch, lunch or a good dinner, you will find it there. The ambience is very chic and seems harmonious. The outdoor area is also very pleasant to sit in in the summer. A clear recommendation is that you should reserve a table, as the restaurant is almost always busy.

So, in itself it's a nice store, but the staff and prices have been increased almost twice. So you start to think twice about whether you should go there

We were there on a Saturday evening with four people, unfortunately the visit was a disappointment. Long wait until you were brought to the reserved table. Unfortunately there were only three chairs at the table and only three pieces of cutlery on the table, which of course the service staff didn't notice. Another long wait to place the order. The food came quite quickly, although unfortunately not for everyone at the same time. Unfortunately, the service this evening was completely overwhelmed. We were really looking forward to this restaurant but were very disappointed, a shame. But the food was okay. Payment was only possible for certain service staff, which unfortunately took a long time...

Despite the rating, we like to go here. A good selection of drinks and food. The ambience is quite good when it's not too crowded. If it gets more crowded, it's hard to have a conversation because of the noise, and since the ceilings are very high, it's like a canteen. The best thing is the outdoor area, a mega covered terrace. It's a good place to sit in warm weather

Delicious food & very nice waiters

We were at the Sunday buffet right at 9:00 am. The atmosphere was great because there were only a few guests there at the time and we were able to have a good chat. The buffet was very tasty and plentiful. The waitress (young man) was very attentive and friendly. From around 11 a.m. it got really crowded and loud, with additional unpleasant loud music. We then left and talked outside.

Went there for breakfast today. We were looking for a nice place. After 10 minutes a lady came and kicked us out because we didn't pre-order and we didn't let ourselves be seated. There was no reservation sign anywhere, there were several places available. Everyone was probably taken, just no guests or signs. We were told it was at the front. No, it wasn't! And she didn't stand there to seat people either! I've known the store for over 10 years, but there's never been anything like this before. Cafe del Sol no longer needs to receive guests. Can't recommend this to you more. Underground unfriendly bad! From the pictures you can see that there is nothing written anywhere, but there is no space even though there is enough space!

Great food and above all such a nice guy who served us, Dennis. Such kindness he radiated. My girlfriend and I were impressed and were in such a good mood. We would come again and again because Dennis gave us such joy

It's always nice to sit outside in summer temperatures and enjoy food and drinks. Addendum, 04/21/24: The brunch on Sunday is really good. This also works inside in colder temperatures 😉

If I had visited the sanitary facilities first, I wouldn't have eaten there, it was very unpleasant there and a very bad smell, they should do something about it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food also very good.

You can actually get missing pancakes from everyone. Unfortunately not enough for children. And what I don't like is the tipping suggestion for EC payments, which only starts at 5 percent and if you want less you have to press a different amount first.

I rarely give negative comments, but I have to express a few opinions about this “restaurant”. The quality of the food is absolutely not recommended, a soup is served cold with a bland aftertaste. Their hotly advertised iced tea varieties, for example pomegranate iced tea, taste like sugar water, so nothing is fresh, it's all frozen goods. Ok, the CdS is a system restaurant, but so is the McD and you should stand out a little from them. The waitresses are quite nice, the cappuccino has worn off. It's actually a shame, the location and situation is relatively good, but it has deteriorated very much. And what the owner has been thinking for years about the above-ground KG pipes that are supposed to direct the rainwater from the gutter to the grass is still a mystery to me to this day. For a few hundred euros you can make it look nicer.

Quite a nice restaurant, café or bistro. However, a bit too noisy and a bit too "open" due to the high ceilings. Good standard food and drinks. With attentive service, at least as long as there isn't too much going on. There are a few positive things to mention, such as the nice service, the really delicious champion sauce with fresh champions and the large parking lot as well as the possibility of sitting outside (covered) in summer. Once again for a schnitzel holiday in the café. Quality of the food was top, service from Marlena was excellent. Since it was Tuesday, it was relatively empty, which helped the otherwise very high general noise level. An all-round successful evening.

In itself a pleasant location if it is not too crowded and therefore too loud. But for my taste the prices are too expensive for the service, both for drinks and for the food. The cake is delicious and completely reasonable in price. On the other hand, the baked goat's cheese, which consisted of 4 mini slices and 2 baguette slices and cost just under 10 EUR, was an absolute disgrace.

I love it there! It's like a vacation for me every time. I'm happy every time we go there to eat and take a break from everyday life because we're straight back in Spain and the holiday feeling is right back. Simply great!

The food is super tasty and the service is great too. The music and the whole atmosphere is a bit too loud because there are a lot of people in one place. The toilets aren't nice, but they're good enough for business.

We had a family reunion. We had a lovely time at Café Del. We had to wait longer to order drinks, but that was because the girls cleared the buffet from 12 p.m. On the whole, the food was good with a few small exceptions. But still recommended, the atmosphere is great and we had a wonderful time.

I wanted to go out for something to eat with a friend, she ordered the curry bowl which was ok. I ordered the avocado chicken burger, the presentation and fries were good, but the chicken patty was terrible, I was expecting a juicy piece of chicken in a crispy breading, instead the patty was like a huge flat Chicken McNugget, it was a pressed one Patty made from some kind of chicken mash. The texture was so soft that there was no bite feeling, you could have eaten it without teeth. Unfortunately the patty had nothing to do with chicken, just disgusting. After a few bites I swapped the burger for a beef burger whose patty was like unseasoned shoe sole, no taste. Selling something like that for 14-15€ is a disgrace. The waitress was friendly and said that I wasn't the first to complain. Every restaurant and management should be ashamed of serving such poor quality on fancy wooden boards and in an actually nice atmosphere.

Large, beautifully decorated restaurant. I was there with a group and the service tried to serve everyone quickly and satisfactorily. I ate a pinsa and later a creme brulee. Both basically tasted good. Unfortunately, based on the size of the menu and the size of the restaurant, it can be assumed that a lot of convenience products are used. You have to ask yourself whether you have to go to a restaurant for something like that. All in all, the visit was nice and the restaurant is easily accessible, which is certainly an important aspect. Recommended.

A few days ago we had lunch at Café del Sol.., (2 people) ordered the schnitzel with fries and sambal sauce as well as a salad.., both very tasty.., the staff is very friendly and attentive… We come regularly with friends...

My 3-year-old son and I spontaneously went there at lunchtime during the Christmas holidays. It was almost empty. The service took place within 10 minutes and was very friendly. The schnitzels are made from molded meat and the sauces taste like Maggi, if that doesn't bother you, great.

Food tastes good, I didn't know that a bacon bbq burger could taste so neutral, basically just like the fresh cucumber, you didn't even taste the meat. My friend had the normal Chassic and there was no taste there either. A friend had the pasta, she had the taste for all the dishes.... so we don't want to talk about the dessert lava cake tasted like water didn't know that cake can be dry and watery at the same time and then when you complain the waitress seriously calls me BABY. .... is it still possible, something like this has never happened to me before? She even admitted that there were only ready-made products for €8.50 .... then she said they would take out the dessert and then man Never pay him again anyway

Great service, super nice staff. We also really enjoyed the food. One star deducted for the creepy, quiet places. Cold (it's winter, you sat outside full) and very old, urgently needs renovation. Otherwise, absolute recommendation ☝️🙏

The waitress was so disrespectful and talked so loudly to us and after eating without saying anything she first cleaned up the table and assumed that I hadn't seen it anywhere else. Food was Cesar salad and Pinsa chicken Cesar and with so much sauce and doesn't taste like César sauce. Do not recommend ✌️

If I could give zero stars I would. The waitress was rude and impatient when taking my order. Also, the Caesar salad I ordered came with mayonnaise instead of Caesar dressing, which was very frustrating. Very disappointing.

We traveled from Hesse to Hanover and visited the Café del Sol in Garbsen. Our schnitzel was great, Justin recommended a dessert after our meal. He was attentive, with a service staff like that Göttingen could learn a thing or two, the service in Göttingen was a disaster. Justin is a top service person! The visit was definitely worth it.

Unfortunately, today we've been at del Sol for a long time and it's always been average. Unfortunately, today was a situation that was in no way acceptable. My wife originally asked for a vegan sauce during the schnitzel holiday. They said that we could just order the vegan schnitzel, then it would be vegan. We then asked again because we actually only wanted the sauce to be vegan, as it is made without butter and milk (allergy) This was confirmed again that the sauce was vegan. The food came, we tried it and thought, hey, that's the tastiest vegan hollandaise we've ever tried. Since it tasted like the normal one, we asked another server. We were then told that the sauce was always vegan. When I looked at the menu, I noticed that the sauce didn't say vegan, of course, but instead was vegetarian and had milk in it. When asked, the only answer was; Yes, no, the mayo is vegan. I then checked again and of course the mayo is not vegan but only vegetarian. My wife was then allowed to leave after 30 minutes and can go straight to the doctor. Thanks for that... Sorry, unfortunately not again.

I celebrated my birthday there with my family about 3 weeks ago. We were all very excited (until yesterday) We ordered two schnitzels with sweet potato fries (like last time) for whatever reason it wouldn't be so easy to order the said schnitzel with sweet potato fries... but the menu says "you can also just have sweet potato fries" after some back and forth It probably worked out after all. The food is very tasty, you can't say anything bad about it. Our friends ordered a small one (half a pizza), which unfortunately was left under a lamp for a few minutes before it was served... so the base was very, well, it tasted very old... Then it was about paying, 3 drinks, 2 schnitzels €41 ok no problem... paid and everything was fine, then the waitress said she had forgotten to charge for the sweet potato fries. When she then said €11.20 for two portions of sweet potato fries, we were subtly shocked.. especially since the menu says €2.90.. The manager couldn't be spoken to and the waitress said it was a large portion.. No, not really.. It's a shame actually we chose the restaurant as our new favorite restaurant.. they don't have any fun with a number like that..

The food was very tasty and the portions were OK (but not suitable for those who are very hungry). 🍔 Second visit for a schnitzel holiday 🍔 “All you can eat” schnitzel for €18.90, who can say no to that? There is a choice of 5 different schnitzel dishes (Vienna style, pepper sauce, mushroom cream sauce, etc.) as well as the choice between pork/turkey/vegan schnitzel. Each dish is served with fries and a small salad. It was super tasty and there was almost no wait between orders. Unfortunately, after the 5th plate I was over, who offers more?

We had lunch there and had a vegetarian burger and a schnitzel. Price/performance is okay, the food tasted good. We had our dog with us, that wasn't a problem. There is a watering station for dogs and the waiters were very friendly towards her too. We will definitely come back again.

Cafe Del Sol Garbsen: Food like in a snack bar, prices like in a star restaurant. I had a handful of fries with a small turkey schnitzel and some sauce for just under 20 euros. A "salad" was listed on the menu, which consisted of exactly one cocktail tomato halved in the middle and placed on about 5 leaves of iceberg lettuce. That's not a salad, that's an impudence. The cola that I had with it cost well over 5 euros and the glass was half filled with ice cubes. At the end of November there are no excuses that this would be necessary to keep the drinks cool. The service was friendly but poorly trained. The food for our table was always served from one side and then had to be distributed by the guests (a round table in the middle of the room). Questions about the food could not be answered satisfactorily either. The ambience is like in any Cafe Del Sol, I like it, even if the acoustics are terrible and you're always sitting on the presentation plate, no matter which table you're at. If the prices were half as high, my expectations would be the same. A self-chosen fate.

Always enjoy coming here. The last time I suffered was 5 years ago. Today was a relaxed lunch atmosphere. The service was very quick and, above all, very nice. I had a BBC burger. Very, very, mega delicious. (I always taste a piece of just the meat. It was very well seasoned and fried. And also well topped with cucumber, tomato arugula and bacon and, above all, the delicious braised red onions. And the sauce in just the right amount.) One absolutely successful preparation. Room ambience typical of Cafe del Sol. Clean. Also the toilet area. Gladly again at the next opportunity.

Week 46/2024 I was here again on a Thursday evening for dinner with friends. Unfortunately it was incredibly loud and you couldn't have a pleasant conversation. Re-ordering drinks was extremely difficult as rarely anyone showed up. Due to the loud echoing noise, those present also decided to only visit the restaurant in the summer to sit outside.

The music is a little too loud.

Unfortunately there is hardly anything here for vegans. If you look at the menu, you might think that an alternative diet has not yet been established here. The vegan schnitzel is nothing great, on the contrary, it's 10 times tastier when made at home. The shop is chic and cozy. There's nothing to complain about about the service either. The only drawback was that the windows in the toilets were open and it was significantly too cold.

It's outrageous what you get to take away for €10.90... a Caesar salad that is microscopic! What a disgrace to charge such a price for a handful of salad! Never again !!!

We were there for the breakfast buffet. The supply compared to previous years has decreased significantly. Many things have been slimmed down and some are no longer there at all. There were no more boiled eggs an hour before the end of the buffet. The wait for a glass of Cola (open the glass bottle, bring a glass with ice cubes) also took an extremely long time. The men's room looked completely dirty. Price performance, no longer fits here at all. Elsewhere there is a breakfast buffet for 16.90 euros, including coffee, juice or cocoa... I can advise everyone to compare and assume that you are better off somewhere else.

I had brunch with my little one for the first time and I was very disappointed. Breakfast was great, but the supposed lunch was a total failure. Chicken both spicy, noodles cold and the champions too. In addition, this cannot be called lunch because it was very, very lean. Thai curry is terribly bad. My review is about this dish, perhaps others are better. But unfortunately the Thai curry was really disgusting, I couldn't finish it. The rice (long grain?) doesn't work at all, so you have to use jasmine rice. But apart from that, the curry was bland and didn't taste like anything. And the vegetables look like a ready mix from the freezer. When I was clearing up I was just asked if I wanted to take the rest (the still relatively untouched dish) with me. After a friendly no, thank you, there was unfortunately no question as to whether it wasn't tasty. It was then billed as normal. Otherwise the service was friendly so still 3/5 stars. But I'm still annoyed that I paid €18 and that there wasn't even a 'sorry it didn't taste good'. Yes, maybe you shouldn't order an Asian dish in a German restaurant - but if you can't do it, you shouldn't offer it.

Since the last visit (more than a year ago) the service and the food have improved again. The ribs with the sweet potato fries tasted very good. The classic, Sol's schnitzel, is also a good choice here.

Opening times are adapted to the location. The prices are already an announcement for a buffet at €19, but the eye is also there. Coffee and other drinks were okay. Reserved space because it had to be that way, everything worked out well. The staff was good during our visit. The buffet was good and rich. The little sausages look a bit strange, but they were tasty. The light output above the buffet was a bit too weak for my taste. The hot dishes could have been a bit warmer, in my opinion. The selection was good and extensive. The atmosphere, air was good. But I still have a hard time with the 5th star.
