Food and drinks really tasty, especially the noodles. Relaxed location. On some days there are sometimes too few waiters

I go here every now and then for breakfast, scrambled eggs with mushrooms and beef ham, the service is super friendly and nice. I find the ambience like being on a short Mediterranean vacation.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food is disproportionate to the high price. It starts with the starter where you can find the cheapest black olives and ends with the burger. For around €13 you can get a burger without fries. An extra patty costs a hefty €4.70. Unfortunately, the biggest shame is the fact that people resort to frozen patties that just taste really bad. That's why it was my last visit, I don't go to the restaurant to get ready-made products warmed up.

Service is very important here. At a table with 6 full-paying people, food and various drinks, it is not possible to order a small portion (because it is only for children). The waitress doesn't even ask the shift manager, she just says "no" in an unfriendly manner.

The food is really delicious! The young man who served us was polite and very accommodating. It is very comfortably furnished. The portions are large and the quality is really good. The only criticism is that you should have conversations about guests or private conversations in a room at the back; it doesn't go down well at the front. It doesn't help to hold the tray in front of your face if you get caught.

It was a long wait, even though the restaurant wasn't even half full around 3:30 p.m. The staff chatted a lot behind the counter and we waited (you really notice that when you sit at the front). After eating, we ordered drinks and dessert again in the hope that empty dishes would be taken away from lunch - false alarm! Our table was full and no employee was interested. 🙄 We left over €60 today, and A…. When I asked if I wanted to leave a tip (you really have to be brave to ask such a question), I said no for the first time because I found the question outrageous. Such service and then brazenly asking for a tip/percentage - no way!

We ate schnitzel and it tasted good, but the salad wasn't appetizing to look at. Very brown on the outside and little dressing. The champion sauce was a very thick mush but tasted good. We were disappointed with the service, the young lady was very stressed and unfriendly. We would have liked to order something more but apparently she didn't feel like coming to the table every now and then. We won't be going there any time soon!

This was our first time at Cafe Del Sol. A nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The food was really tasty.👍 I had the chick and chips, my wife had the currywurst. We'd love to come back. 🫶🙋‍♂️

My daughter wanted a schnitzel vacation for her birthday, so said and done. The food was also delicious, the fries could have been a little longer for our taste but tastes are different. But what really made me angry was that after a long wait, we had to go to the front twice to be able to order something and everything was more important than the customers. A colleague was probably said goodbye, hey no problem, nice gesture from the team, but then you can't go around first and ask if people would like anything else and then take care of their private matters. There was no tip and I explained to her why, but there was nothing more than excuses and excuses. Sorry, but even though Café del Sol is within walking distance for us, it was probably our last visit there. Everything is no longer what it used to be.

This is true even if the shop is only lightly used. The bill can also take a long time to arrive. The taste of the food and drinks is ok, but the price-performance ratio could be made a little more customer-oriented. Portions have become smaller and prices have increased. There are numerous free parking spaces.

A really great place for a little break from everyday life. The homemade iced teas are really recommended. The food was fresh and well served. Unfortunately, the only drawback is the fairly high prices, which is why I can only give it 4 stars overall. However, I'd be happy to go back if you have a euro or two left over.

The restaurant is nicely decorated. You can try out the food. I ate a burger there that I really enjoyed, I can't say anything about the other dishes and drinks, but I definitely won't eat there again. The waitress wasn't exactly nice and rude. One of three people at the table only got a napkin as a coaster, the other two got normal ones. I still ask myself why people would do such a thing.

The Sol Café in Bochum Wattenscheid is highly recommended! There's really nothing to complain about. Everything is great - from the friendly atmosphere to the attentive service to the delicious food and drinks. You simply feel comfortable here. A big compliment to the team: keep it up! I will definitely come back.

I had dinner there with my wife and child for a long time. Unfortunately, we are still deeply sad that the 1/2 or 1 meter pizza is no longer in our range. Price performance was absolutely right. Pinsa are now being offered at an almost ridiculously high price, but it feels like hardly anything is made by yourself. The meat was barely edible, the pinsa was quite cold and wasn't homemade either. For almost 16 euros you would definitely expect more than a bread board full of Tk. I ordered a burger plus fries. The burger was an absolute disgrace considering that it was only served alone (11 euros). Brioche burger bun with a slice of snake cucumber and a Tk chicken patty which was the size of a Tk beef patty. Plus a slice of tomato and the bun again. So at Mcs or Burgerking you get 2 burgers plus fries and a drink for 16 euros and it tastes better. The kids menu also only consisted of Tk goods. In total the visit cost us a mere 52 euros. I almost lost faith when it came to the portions. The owner should be ashamed of such a price-performance ratio. You can eat better everywhere for less or equivalent money. Please rethink your concept, otherwise customers will soon only come for liquid consumption. We certainly won't come again.

The food and service are great, but the background noise is terrible - it sounds like a crowded hall where everyone is talking. Unfortunately, it is not possible to have a quiet conversation or just chill out there.

I used to eat here often and it was good back then, even last summer. I've been there twice in the last 2 weeks. Both times the Eesen was not good: soggy fries, falafel not freshly prepared, rice guaranteed to have been warmed up from the day before (totally soggy), hardly any peanuts on top of the dish (5?), although mentioned specifically on the menu, Prosecco completely without bubbles, so rather Wine. Plus crisp prices. That used to be better. I'm happy to pay more if the food tastes good and is properly prepared, but that was nothing twice.

I haven't been to del Sol in years, I used to be a regular. I regret the last visit. Schnitzel del Sol for €19 is outrageous given the mini portion. My wife had a burger and fries which also had to be added to mini ones for just under €6 ectra. Disappointing.

Yesterday I was there again for a long time because we had a negative experience there in 2020. Back then I got a voucher for two cocktails because we weren't served during a visit. I had completely forgotten about this voucher and found it again. When I asked whether it was still valid, I was referred to the deputy manager (Dennis). I was greeted very nicely and the voucher was actually redeemed!!!! I was totally surprised and very happy! Yesterday everything was perfect, very nice staff and delicious food and drinks. It was a very pleasant atmosphere. Thank you.

Like in every location Cafe Del Sol you get the best, from the ambiance to the food. It is always a safe bet. The summer special Turkey Burger was to die for.

Were in Bochum on Sunday (May 26th). First of all: The staff was very attentive and very friendly 👍 The ambience is getting old, but still clean (toilet) and acceptable. The food is unfortunately very modest and has zero quality. No taste of meat and pasta. The baked goods are a disaster (everything seemed over-baked). The drinks were OK. I think you can have a much better breakfast (brunch) for 19.50 euros per person. Not again!!!

Unfortunately not a pleasant experience. We quickly found a place because there was almost nothing going on. The children's menu only came after we had long decided what we wanted to order. After we placed the order, it took FOREVER for us to have our food. Actually, I should say on a positive note that we were brought a cup with a straw for the little one with the drinks BUT this cup was completely dirty! We ordered: Small mixed salad Chili Cheese Fries Schnitzel del Sol Pom Chick (children's menu) When the food came, we were pretty frustrated: unseasoned fries, frozen schnitzel, chili from the package, inedible vinaigrette on the salad with the schnitzel, the Caesar dressing was so-so, freeze-dried mango in one drink and a frozen raspberry block in the other. None of us finished but we ate too much to do anything about it 🙄. You should keep in mind that you have to run after the staff to get a hold of you, as no one is looking and the prices are quite high for what is on offer! Our french fry lover left his fries behind and left 2 1/2 of 3 nuggets. This visit relieved us of €61 and gave us a stomach ache! Once and never again! The location would actually have been quite appealing.

Cool building, but still barrier-free. It's not cheap, but it's a real eye-catcher in Wattenscheid. The parking lot is downright naughty, well you can do that, unfortunately a small children's playground didn't fit anymore, but so be it 🤣

You can spend your time in the Kaffee-Haus der Sonne and many do, otherwise it wouldn't have become such a big chain 😀 How many first dates and last dates have already taken place in these locations. All I can say is that I had a lovely evening there. I drank one of the very cool iced teas that were served and it tasted fantastic. I will be happy to be there again as the staff is also extremely friendly. True to the motto of your buttons - if Life gives you lemons, just make lemonade ❤️🔱❤️🔱❤️

Very nice cafe/restaurant with a great atmosphere. The waitresses were all very friendly. Very child friendly/high chairs available. Large parking lot right in front of the entrance, you can always get a table even without a reservation. Selection of drinks is very large, selection of (warm) food is less large, mainly burgers, schnitzel and pinsa (e.g. pizza), otherwise rather small things. Meat and meatless possible. Taste good. Relatively expensive when it comes to food. We always enjoy coming back.

We were there on March 8th. There in the afternoon. My salad was ok, but the lasagna was a joke. The portion was more for a small child. THE complaint to service was not taken seriously. There is still room for improvement here. We definitely won't eat lasagna there anymore. A PITY! TODAY we were there for breakfast. Everything was great, we were very happy! satisfied. We were at Cafe del Sol on Sunday evening. At that time the store was not very busy. At the beginning the service was relatively quick, but after the first half hour it was just bad. Lots of young employees were running around and were “busy” with lots of things. Just not with us. An employee who apparently doesn't take orders was persuaded to order a drink. But in a very "snotty" and perhaps "just" casual way and we're really not picky. This employee then brought us our food, which was slammed on the table like in prison. In the meantime, one of our companions had to leave the restaurant for an important phone call. But her food was now on the table. We wanted this food to be temporarily placed under a heat lamp. But it was virtually impossible to call a service person. A waitress didn't want to take care of our concerns, she would send her colleague. But this didn't come again. Unfortunately, no one even looked at our table for 15 minutes. So the food got cold and no more drinks could be ordered. After half an eternity we were finally able to order more. If only we hadn't ordered cocktails, oh wonder, that too took...20 minutes! In a busy store with few staff, I understand that it can take longer. But here it was the other way around. Few guests, definitely enough staff.
