Cafe Del Sol Bayreuth in Bayreuth

The breakfast buffet was very plentiful and delicious, and definitely worth it. The service is a disaster. We've been sitting here for over 30 minutes with our dirty plates, and while our cups were cleared away, no one has come by since to ask if we'd like more drinks or anything else. Well, we don't want anything more now...

It was a lovely visit, great selection, friendly staff. My only complaint is the abysmal signage for the food. Some items had signs, some had signs crossed out, and some had no signs at all. Since we didn't have any food intolerances or anything like that, it wasn't a big deal for us, but this definitely needs improvement!

We had breakfast at the buffet. The selection was good and varied, with something for everyone.

You have to like this kind of restaurant. I liked the building (the location itself), the service, and the atmosphere from the very beginning. It's a very nice place to work, as well as for a breakfast date or an after-work drink. Lots of ideas. Thanks to Cafe del Sol for the lovely visit :)

The food is really great. We wanted to take advantage of the "Schnitzel Holiday" offer. After our main schnitzel, no one came to our table for 45 minutes, but they did serve all the tables around us… We would have liked to order something else, but it was too much of a hassle. What a shame. We were really looking forward to the second schnitzel…

The Caesar salad (€10.90) with chicken strips (+€4.90) that was the size of an appetizer salad was abysmal in every respect.

The burger tasted worse than at any well-known fast-food chain. Service was practically non-existent. Never again.

The food was nice, however the service was weak. We waited very long for the drinks.

The food was prepared without any care. My avocado chicken fries were missing the coleslaw and tomatoes. After asking, I was told they couldn't offer me anything else. They certainly didn't skimp on the wasibi dip, which unfortunately made the fries and everything else inedible. I left it. The other food wasn't presented with any care either. We also had to wait 20 minutes for our order, even though the restaurant was practically empty. (They'd rather stand behind the counter chatting amongst themselves...) We've been to Café Del Sol several times before, but this was the worst of them all. The restrooms alone were filthy. We had hoped to have a nice dinner there, but unfortunately, that didn't work out.

It is a pity for this restaurant that you can only get the simplest thing that every pub always has on Sunday evening, I am talking about fries and schnitzel, I am very disappointed, I do not know if I will go here again

It wasn't busy, but I still waited 10 minutes for a coffee. The burger looked good and was tasty. I ordered mayo for the fries, but it was forgotten. The atmosphere was nice. Could be improved.

Extremely unfriendly and overwhelmed staff

We just had a fantastic breakfast buffet for about €15. We already knew "Cafe del Sol" from another city. But Bayreuth was also great. Super friendly staff, food was beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was fantastic. Parking is right in front. Card payments accepted. We'd be happy to come back. Thank you.

Delicious food. Exceptionally friendly service.

The food was very good and the service extremely friendly and welcoming. The food and drinks took a little longer to arrive because there were simply too few servers for the size of the restaurant. The ambiance has real potential and is chic, but unfortunately it's a bit dirty. The floor was dirty, and the tables weren't wiped down, just cleared. Two children were sitting at the next table, and they had already soiled the table. It wasn't even wiped down. Chairs were left exactly as the guests had left them. If more attention was paid to cleanliness, then this place would be highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the service was terrible. Despite there being hardly any customers, we had to wait a long time to place our order. The order arrived quickly, but we weren't able to reorder anything... no one came to ask.

The food is delicious and the staff is friendly and helpful. The value for money is good.

At 11:50, they don't serve any lunch menu items. Only breakfast. What's the point? We drove on and won't be back.

Pasta with mushrooms - delicious... The latte - okay... All in all, a good place.

Very tasty bowls, friendly service staff

A really great opportunity to enjoy a decent meal in peace while the car is plugged into the supercharger. The quality and price were really good. I'd be happy to stop by again.

The food was cold. The starters were so large that you didn't even need a main course, and the taste wasn't great either. I definitely won't be coming back.

Four of us came for coffee. 15 minutes after bringing the coffee and a Belgian waffle, the waitress came back and asked if everything was okay. Then she disappeared. It's a shame she didn't ask again if we wanted anything else. Then we paid...it took a while before we could hand over our money. By the way, it was hardly busy.

We happened to be there by chance and were very pleased with the exceptionally friendly service, the pleasant ambiance, and the excellent food and drinks selection.

The fries are great. The filter coffee is okay :)

Frozen pinsa and currywurst with fries were lukewarm. There's nothing left to do but give it one star. Update/Response: Just to clarify, the pinsa was still frozen on the plate! We immediately said something and only paid for the water. We weren't offered that, but they doubted that the currywurst and fries were only lukewarm.

We had lunch here while charging our car and it was certainly one of the best "charging lunches" that we have had. Tasty food, excellent mango ice tea, friendly service and chilled, friendly atmosphere.

We came to the Tesla charger. We usually don’t expect much of the places/gas stations around it in terms of food. I was quite surprised with this place. Nice building/decoration inside, large, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. We ate the pinsa Avocado Amore, a salad and kid’s pasta. Everything was very tasty 👌

This was our first time at Café del Sol. Delicious food and a peaceful atmosphere – despite its size. We went for lunch.

We were on our way home and spontaneously reserved a table for six people. The food was delicious, and there was a very large selection of different dishes and drinks. The service was very polite and attentive. Unfortunately, it's too far away to go to a Cafe del Sol often. The prices were also perfectly reasonable.

I come here often. You can come without a reservation and get a seat right away. The food and drinks are delicious and served quickly. I highly recommend the weekend brunch. The staff are nice and friendly. There's plenty of parking right outside.

We were passing through there today and felt very well looked after. Fast service, schnitzel and burgers arrived very quickly and were really delicious. Also, the staff was super friendly☺️

We waited 20 minutes, were only greeted at the entrance, and then no one came to see us. Very rude. 20 minutes!!!

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place because of the constant car noise. The food wasn't tasty. You have to ask for cutlery, and you can't rely 100% on the service.

a large venue with a nice outdoor area where we enjoyed sitting. In general, wasn’t anything special, but it met our expectations overall.

Good atmosphere. Dogs are allowed. We sat on the terrace. Service was quick and courteous. The menu was very appealing. The food, however, wasn't that great. I had pasta with shrimp in mustard sauce. Lots of pasta, few vegetables, and a meager number of shrimp. The price-performance ratio here is just not right...sorry.

Delicious coffee and cake in a relaxed atmosphere right next to the supercharger, within sight but not within earshot of the highway. If you sit on the terrace during a traffic jam, you can even see when the traffic is flowing again, making it worth leaving.

The requested food wasn't available. The cappuccino tasted worse than some McDonald's coffees. The quality and prices weren't right. Once and never again. Service was extremely slow and inattentive.

I keep giving you a chance, but still nothing happens. Burgers are cold, not even lukewarm, turkey schnitzel de sol is burnt. We wanted to pay, but it took 15 minutes for the lady to come. I had the feeling that she had to do everything alone, while the other five just stood around and did stupid things. You can go and smoke, but you can't see anything else. This place doesn't see me anymore. Regards

Perfect for a recharging stop. I was there once for brunch and once for dinner. Everything was good both times. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The copper-haired waitress is a sleepy, disinterested, incompetent worker. I am very dissatisfied.

A very tasty burger, but being charged 50 cents for ketchup is unbecoming of a restaurant. It's a small thing, and the owners are hoping to make some extra money. But it backfires, because then you won't be coming back...

Service is significantly better than it was a year ago. Food is a matter of taste, I think a lot of it is frozen. The atmosphere is good, with a very large and shady terrace.

We have had bad experiences at Cafe del Sol in the past in terms of the warmth of the food and the waiting times for drinks and food. We attribute this to the size of the restaurant and seemingly frequently changing staff. Yesterday, however, the waiting times were really okay and in the meantime we were looked after excellently. Upon request, our table was moved under a patio heater and someone was always there to check on everything. This is how I want service! Drinks took a while, food and dessert came quickly and were perfect. We found the music a bit too loud, but we could still have a conversation. We are sure that if we had asked, they would have turned the music down even further. The changing waiters also caused temporary confusion for us. Fixed responsibilities would have been more pleasant for us here. Personally, I would like to thank “my” waiter (m/f/d) with an appropriate tip.

The friendliness of the staff: 5 stars. The taste of the food: 5 stars. The availability of the food (brunch) is once a little empty, it takes time until it is refilled. It shouldn't happen that everything, every container, rolls, fruits, cold cuts are completely empty. For such times/days when the café might be full, you should always have supplies so that you can quickly refill them! (mostly rolls) (toppings, scrambled eggs and fruit) You definitely have to reserve a table in advance! Otherwise very difficult to get a table.

Unfortunately the burger was only lukewarm and the patty was, well,... You can also go to McDonald's there. It's a shame they used to be tip top. The homemade lemonade was great and the service was nice and quick.

I was eating there yesterday with a friend. We were really looking forward to the burger. Unfortunately we discovered that it was actually a frozen ready-made patty, which for €9.50 without fries is really a disgrace and the extra fries cost €2.90. We were expecting super tasty food but it's just yucky on the outside and yuck on the inside. Only frozen food that has already been trimmed just doesn't taste good and the price is a disgrace last visit from us.

We discovered Café del Sol while passing through and spontaneously stopped in here with a total of 12 people. Since it was lunchtime and a holiday, we found space without any problems. We were served friendly and quickly. The food offered was good and reasonably priced. We would like to stop here again on our next trip. Clear recommendation!

Very nice employees. We felt very comfortable. Good location near the electric car charging station. Our food and the selection were great, but the salad dressing was sugary and a greasy mess. Unfortunately, the music was too loud in the dining room, it echoed a lot. We'd love to come back at our next stop. Thank you!

I can recommend everyone to make a stop here. From pizzas 🍕 to pasta 🍝 to delicious 😋 high-quality burgers 🍔, there is everything your heart desires. And at absolutely fair prices. The restaurant itself is a feast for the eyes. An absolute recommendation.

Food below average. Fast food is better. Prices are absolutely not justified. Simply a disgrace for this price. It's gone really bad and very poor service.

Die belgische Waffel für 8.50 Euro eine totale Frechheit. So eine kleine und schlechte Waffel hab ich noch nirgends bekommen.

The food tasted very good, but the portions were too small for the prices and there were not enough of the expensive components. In my case almost only tomatoes, hardly any feta. Unfortunately we waited quite a long time for food even though only 10% of the tables were occupied.

Super nice service, nice atmosphere and delicious food. Parking available, a large Tesla Supercharger location a minute's walk away.

I usually come here just for the Schnitzel del Sol, because I like it so much. For dessert, I recommend the Mascarpone Crunch.

As always, very tasty breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, I can't recommend brunch. Both lunch dishes were only lukewarm and not really my taste. But the Saturday buffet is really great.

Spontaneously went to Café del Sol for dinner today. The atmosphere itself is very nice, but it is very dirty, dirt has collected under the tables, and the toilets were very dirty. We ordered burgers. Unfortunately, one burger was ice cold inside, like it was frozen. We complained and a new one was prepared. However, it was the same, the meat was ice cold inside. This is of course very unpleasant. The other burger had arugula, but that was omitted when ordering. As an apology we received 3 hot drinks for free and only had to pay for the cold drinks, which was very nice and accommodating. Thanks to the nice service. But we won't come around anymore. Because that's not how you imagine a cozy evening.

I didn't find anything to complain about. The taste was simply amazing, we had the house bread twice and once with guacamole and that was the best I have ever eaten. The service is also really nice and on the ball. We would be happy to come back here at any time.

Unfortunately I can only confirm that the service needs to be improved. Despite there being very little activity, it took a very long time for the food to arrive... and instead of a small pinsa, a large one arrived, the burger came with arugula even though it was explicitly ordered without it. When I dared to draw attention to myself to pay, I was kindly pointed out that there were more tables here. Correct, but 3/4 of them were empty. The food was average at best and overpriced in my opinion. Overall, it's not worth repeating and unfortunately, despite the relatively large number of negative reviews, there is no apparent effort to improve the situation on site.

Service super slow and unfriendly.

In contrast to before, it is absolutely no longer recommended. The taste and consistency of the food was more reminiscent of frozen food, the prawns were served with intestines, the lasagne was still half cold. The service also left a lot to be desired. You had to wait a long time and the service was very unfriendly. However, I have to say that it's not about all the waitresses because there were friendly and accommodating ones. So we will definitely have set foot in there for the last time yesterday, which is a shame because we used to really like it.

The fun of the meal was limited after we waited a total of almost 1 1/2 hours for the starter and main course and discovered that the inside of the lasagna was cold and sticky. Likewise, the meat of the burger was very questionable. We immediately thought of frozen patties. But not the good option. More like cheap, stretched ones. It was very reminiscent of accidentally eating candy wrappers. Chewy, sinewy and difficult to even chew. The waitress clearly only had sales in mind, but they didn't seem to understand that this was tied to good service. A lady a few tables away had her food returned, got it new and still seemed disgusted. When we asked about the dips, we were only told that it was taking too long to count them all and that this had already happened so many times a day. Just as unpleasant were the prawn starters, some of which still had their intestines in them or feet on them. Compared to the visit in summer 2023, today's was a really bitter disappointment and not recommended. Unfortunately, I really imagined the end of Valentine's Day to end differently. Really a shame.
